Détermination de constantes de stabilité de chélates par résonance magnétique nucléaire du proton

In a solution containing an excess of two metal ions in regard to a ligand (e.g. NTA) a competitive equilibrium is established. The measure, by proton NMR. spectroscopy, of the individual concentrations of both chelates, and eventually of the free ligand, allows to determine the ratio of the stability constants of the two complexes. As an illustration the ratios of the stability constant of the 1:1 nitrilotriacetate chelates of Pb and Zn, respectively Mo and W, were determined.     

Régiospécificité et stéréosélectivité de la cycloaddition de l'oxyde de benzonitrile sur les pyrazolines-3

Pursuing our study on the cycloaddition of benzonitrile oxide with Δ₃-pyrazolines (1,2), we can now affirm that this reaction is regiospecific and stereoselective. The behaviour in acidic medium was studied. We have then discussed the process of epimerization and degradation observed according to the C₄ substituent of the bicyclic molecule and the solvent used.     

Etude par spectrométrie de masse de l'ionisation de benzonitriles,de phénylacétonitriles et de N,N-diméthylanilines substitués

Molecular ionization potentials for series of compounds of the type X? C₆H₄? CN, X? C₆H₄CH₂? CN and X? C₆H₄? N(CH₃)₂ have been measured using the retarding potential difference technique (RPD. technique). The effect of the various substituents X is better correlated through the electrophilic Brown σ_p⁺ constants than through Hammett's σ_p values. No meta-para orientation effect is observed. For all the disubstituted phenyl compounds studied, the effect of the second substituent is affected by the electron-releasing power of the original substituent. Ionization potentials calculated by using the semi-empirical method of equivalent orbitals are in good agreement with the experimental values.

Synthesis of Terminal Acetylenic Sugars Derivatives and Ynuronic Acids Derivatives by Use of a Wittig Reaction The method described for the preparation of terminal acetylenic sugars presents two advantages over earlier procedures: no new asymmetric center is created and the chain can be extended by one or more C-atoms. The method also allows preparation of ynuronic acids. The aldehydosugars derivatives 1–7 gave in good to excellent yields the corresponding gem-dibromoenoses 8–14 from which either the terminal acetylenic sugars derivatives 15–21 or the ynuronic acids 22–24 were easily prepared. A few examples of 1,3-dipolar cycloadditions (leading to 28–30 ) with these acetylenic sugar derivatives are also described.     

Synthèse de l'analogue sélénié de la sérotonine

Starting from 2-bromo-5-methoxyacetophenone, an unambiguous synthesis of the selenium analog of serotonine is described with a 25% overall yield. Application of the Wittig reaction to selenoindoxyls appears to be a successful pathway to products of this nature.     

Caractérisation de nouveaux dérivés et analogues de la nétropsine et identification de leurs intermédiaires de synthèse par spectrométrie de masse FAB

The fast-atom bombardment (FAB) mass spectra of a series of netropsin derivatives and analogues were examined in positive-ion and when necessary negative-ion modes. Behaviour of these derivatives was related to that of oligopeptides. Some compounds protected by t-butoxycarbonyl groups were also investigated using this technique and showed characteristic fragmentations.     

Isolement de nouveaux complexes de zinc de dipyrrométhènes formés au cours de la synthèse de la méso-tétramésitylporphyrine par la réaction de Rothemund

Three new zinc bis(dipyrromethene) complexes have been isolated in the preparation of meso-tetramesitylporphyrin by the Rothemund zinc template based condensation process.

Use of the Wittig reaction for the synthesis of derivatives of bromoenosuloses and bromoenuronic esters Treatment of 3-O-benzyl (or 3-O-methyl)-1, 2-O-isopropylidene-α-D -xylo-pentodialdo-1, 4-furanoses ( 2 or 1 ) with acetylbromomethylidenetriphenylphosphorane ( 3 ), benzoylbromomethylidenetriphenylphosphorane ( 4 ) or bromoethoxycarbonylmethylidenetriphenylphosphorane ( 5 ) gave in good to excellent yields the expected enose ( 6--11 ). In all cases but one ( 8 where some 10% of the E-isomer was formed) the reaction led to the exclusive formation of the Z-isomer whose configuration was established by NMR.     

Stabilité dans le méthanol et propriétés thermodynamiques de transfert des cryptates de certains cations de transition et de métaux lourds

Stability in Methanol and Thermodynamic Transfer Properties of the Cryptates of some Transition Cations and Heavy Metals The nature and stability of the macrocyclic and macrobicyclic complexes of Ag⁺, Cd²⁺, and Pb²⁺ (Mⁿ⁺) with 21, 22, 211, 221 and 222 in anhydrous methanol 0.05M in Et₄N⁺ClO^?₄, at 25° (see Scheme) have been determined by potentiometry and spectrophotometry. Binuclear complexes M₂L²ⁿ⁺ have been observed in all cases, besides the mononuclear MLⁿ⁺ complexes. The macrobicyclic 1:1 complexes MLⁿ⁺ exhibit an important ‘cryptate effect’ with Mⁿ⁺=Ag⁺, Pb²⁺ and Cd²⁺, but not with Cu²⁺ and Zn²⁺; their stability is in all cases maximum with 221. The applicability to our results of the recent extrathermodynamic hypothesis involving MLⁿ⁺ cryptates is examined.

The synthesis of two new types of compounds with 3-oxo-5-thioxo- and 3,5-dithioxo-6-ethoxycarbonyl-2,3,4,5-tetrahydro-1,2,4-triazines are described. Their reactivity towards alkylating reagents and towards hydrazine has been studied.

Synthesis of Novel Types of C-Glycosyl-derivatives from Acetylenic Sugars or Partial Synthetic Equivalents thereof The concept of synthetic equivalent is not unequivocal and, for example, α-fluoroenamines may behave in some cases as synthetic equivalents of ynamines and, in other situations, quite differently. Some uses of these α-fluoroenamines, ‘partial synthetic equivalents’ of ynamines, for the synthesis of C-glycosyl derivatives of coumarins, chromones, quinolines, quinolones, thietenes and isoxazoles are described. We also report the preparation of a series of mono- and diglycosylthiophenes by reacting HS^? with mono- and diglycosylbutadiynes. Acetylenic sugar derivatives have also been used for the synthesis of a diglycosylazaphosphorine and a spirooxolenone.

Correlation effects in the acetylene molecule are studied by a method using the technique of Feynman-like diagrams. The introduction of the reduced atomic electronic integrals decreases considerably the value of correlation energy.     

Réactivité de spirochromènes et de mérocyanines azahétérocycliques vis-à-vis de quelques agents nucléophiles

Under the action of nucleophile reagents such as water, hydrogen sulfide and sodium borohydride, the saturated azaheterocyclic spirochromenes are opened either on the azaheterocyclic side or on the benzopyran side or on both parts simultaneously. The merocyanines are either partially reduced or decomposed by the sodium borohydride.

Reaction of 2-t-butylthiobenzaldehyde with N-(2-dialkylaminoethyl)-cyanacetamides followed by heating of the resulting 3-(2-t-butylthiophenyl)-2-cyanoacrylamides in polyphosphoric acid leads to the formation of 3-carboxamido-2-imino-2H-benzo[b][l]thiopyrann intermediates which afford thiocoumarins on hydrolysis. The authors postulate the intermediate formation of a thiophenate ion by an electronic mechanism involving six centers.

Some more examples of stable free radicals of carbohydrate heterocyclic derivatives 2-Glycosyl-4,4,5,5-tetramethylimidazoline- 3-oxide-1-oxyls and 2-glycosyl-4,4,5,5-tetramethylimidazoline 1-oxyls have been prepared in nine carbohydrate series, which proves the generality of the method. The hyperfine coupling constant between the free electron and the α-proton of the glycosyl group is never very large (0-2.3 G) but a correlation between its value and the structure of the aglycone has been noted. Free radicals of that type, stable in aqueous solutions, are potentially interesting for biological studies.     

Régiospécificite et stéréosélectivite de la cycloaddition de l'oxyde de benzonitrile sur la phényl-5 A-3-pyrazoline

An example of stereospecific and stereoselective reactions is described concerning the cycloaddition of benzonitrile oxyde with 1,2-dimethyl-5-diphenyl-3-pyrazoline. The structure of the two epimeric 5,6-dimethyl 3,4-dimethyl[4,3-d]pyrazolidinoisoxazo-lines-2 was proved by the means of chemical and physical methods. The conversion of one epimeric product to another more stable is achieved and discussed.     

Diénamines hétérocycliques. III. Réexamen de la réaction de la base de Fischer avec le tétracyanoéthylène

Heterocyclic dienamines III. A re-examination of the reaction of Fischer's base on tetracyanoethylene Depending on the order of addition, Fischer's base 5 (1,3,3-trimethyl-2-methylidene-indoline) reacts 1:1 with tetracyanoethylene to give either the tricyanovinylation product 6 or the spiro compound 7 . A skeletal rearrangement of a zwitterionic intermediate can explain the formation of the spiro compound. The latter undergoes a thermal isomerization yielding by ring expansion the tetrahydroquinoléine 8 . On reaction with LiAlH₄ or CH₃ONa 7 and 8 lead both to triazatetracycles. All structures are assigned on the basis of spectral data.

Synthesis of Sugar Derivatives Bearing a Spiro Heterocycle via Nucleophilic Cyclization Treated with the 1,4-binucleophiles 1,2-diaminoethane, 2-aminoethanol, 2-aminoethanethiol, L -cysteine, o-phenylenediamine, o-aminophenol or o-aminothiophenol the ketosugar derivative 1 gave in good yields the corresponding spiro derivatives 2–8 . In each case, the reaction was stereospecific leading to the isomer bearing the N-atom on the endo face of the bicyclic starting material. Starting from the sugar enone 9 , the aromatic 1,4-binucleophiles led stereospecifically to the spirobenzo [b]-diazepine 10 , -oxazepine 11 or -thiazepine 12 . In one case, an imine (13) was isolated. As 13 cyclized to 6 , the intermediate formation of these kind of derivatives could be considered as a common step for all these reactions.
