The use of a diode laser in an ESPI system is reported. These lasers have considerable potential advantages over gas lasers in terms of convenience, cost and lifetimes, and may eventually replace the latter in this type of instrument.  相似文献

A digital speckle pattern interferometry system with automatic data analysis is used to measure the near-tip in-plane displacement field in a stainless steel specimen previously cracked by a fatigue test. In-plane displacements over a zone of 3.15 mm×3.15 mm are determined through the evaluation of the optical phase distribution. A theoretical solution developed for elasto-plastic materials is used to evaluate the obtained experimental results.  相似文献

In this work a number of techniques (electronic speckle pattern interferometry, holographic interferometry, strain gauge and finite element method) are brought to bear in order to establish consistency in the results of strain measurement. This is necessary if optical non-destructive testing methods, such as those used here, are to gain acceptance for routine industrial use. The FE model provides a useful check. Furthermore, ESPI fringe data facilitates the extension of FE models, an approach that is of growing importance in component testing.

The use of in-plane and out-of-plane sensitive electronic speckle pattern interferometry (ESPI) for non-destructive material characterization of thick unplasticised polyvinylchloride (uPVC) pipes is presented. A test rig has been designed for stressing pipes by internal pressure. ESPI gives a complete mapping of the displacement field over the area imaged by the video camera. The results for the strain of uPVC obtained from ESPI data and from strain gauges are in good agreement. The value of Young's modulus has been obtained from the fringe data and compared with results obtained using holographic interferometry and from strain gauge measurements. The FE model also produces fringe data that is consistent with the ESPI results.  相似文献

Laser-based electronic speckle interferometry (ESI) techniques, viz., electronic speckle pattern interferometry (ESPI) and electronic speckle shearographic interferometry (ESSI) are used for testing of spacecraft structural components. The combined ESPI and ESSI system developed in house was successfully used for the non-destructive evaluation (NDE) of honeycomb sandwich panels and propellant tanks of Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO). Debonds between face sheet and the honeycomb core were identified using (i) thermal and (ii) dual vacuum stressing methods. On-line NDE of the propellant tanks under internal pressure loading for identification of the minute cracks and thickness reduction areas were successfully implemented by ESI.  相似文献

This paper studies the exponential and Butterworth low-pass filtering methods and proposes improved exponential and Butterworth low-pass filters. The improved low-pass filters proposed in the paper can be used effectively for filtering processing of digital speckle interference fringes obtained in digital speckle pattern interferometry. This paper presents a feasibility study to assess whether digital speckle pattern interferometry could be used as a possible technique to investigate the adhesive performance of coatings. The approach is based on the measurement of the deflections produced by a pre-notched coated specimen subjected to a four-point bending test. When the bending load is increased, a delamination between the coating and the substrate is propagated with its length depending on the adhesion strength. Experiments carried out with specimens having simulated delaminations confirm that digital speckle pattern interferometry can be used to estimate the delamination length.  相似文献

A new digital speckle pattern interferometry, called volume-grating phase-shifting digital speckle pattern interferometry, is discussed in this paper. The out-of-plane displacement field of a bent plate can be quantitatively measured using volume-grating phase-shifting digital speckle pattern interferometry proposed in this paper. We built an atmosphere dispersion model of femtosecond laser pulses that can calculate temporal pulse width travelling in air. The initial pulse duration of 100 fs can be broadened to 60 ps when propagating 200 km in the atmosphere. An experimental system has been established to compensate the large dispersion propagating 200 km in the atmosphere. The single model fiber (SMF) and the prism pairs were, respectively, used for coarse and fine compensation in the system. The pulse duration was consistently regulated 150 fs by moving the distance of prism pairs. This method can reach submicron resolution for a long distance by means of time of flight measurement.  相似文献

Shearography is an optical technique allows direct measurement of deflection derivatives. This paper presents a novel temporal phase analysis technique based on wavelet transform when shearography is applied to measure a continuously deforming object. A series of shearing speckle patterns is captured by a high-speed camera during the deformation. To avoid the phase ambiguity problem, a temporal carrier is generated by a piezoelectrical transducer (PZT) stage in one beam of the modified Michelson interferometer. The intensity variation of each pixel on recorded images is then analyzed along time axis by a robust mathematical tool - complex Morlet wavelet transform. After the temporal carrier is removed, the absolute phase change representing the first-order derivative of the continuous deformation is obtained without the need of temporal or spatial phase unwrapping process. The results obtained by wavelet transform are compared with those from temporal Fourier transform.  相似文献

Aligned arrays of N2-encapsulated multilevel branched carbon nanotubes were synthesized using a simple one step CVD method by pyrolysis of ferrocene and acetonitrile. Electron energy loss spectroscopy (EELS) and elemental mapping studies reveal that gaseous nitrogen was encapsulated in the carbon nanotubes. Batch-type pyrolysis of catalysts induced flow fluctuation of the reaction gases, resulting in the growth of branched junctions. A scheme for recording fast process at nanosecond scale by using digital holographic interferometry with continuous wave (CW) laser is described and demonstrated experimentally, which employs delayed-time fibers and angular multiplexing technique and can realize the variable temporal resolution at nanosecond scale and different measured depths of object field at certain temporal resolution. The actual delay-time is controlled by two delayed-time fibers with different lengths. The object field information in two different states can be simultaneously recorded in a composite hologram. This scheme is also suitable for recording fast process at picosecond scale, by using an electro-optic modulator.  相似文献

The 1D empirical mode decomposition method is applied to reduce speckle noise in the correlation fringes produced in digital speckle pattern interferometry. This method is based on the decomposition of a signal in a sum of well-behaved fast and slow oscillation modes through a sifting process, which generates a fully data-driven technique. Consequently, this is an adaptive approach and the use of basis functions in the analysis process is not required. The denoised signal is given by the residue obtained after the fast oscillation modes are removed. The performance and limitations of the denoising technique are analyzed using computer simulated fringes and these results are compared with those obtained using a wavelet sub-band removal approach. An application of the EMD method to denoise experimental correlation fringes is also presented.  相似文献

This paper presents an interferometric measurement of the out-of-plane deflections produced by a piezoelectric transducer, manufactured by thick-film deposition of a ceramic paste over an alumina substrate, when is subjected to a DC electric voltage. It is shown that a digital speckle pattern interferometer with an incorporated phase-shifting facility allows the measurement of nanometer displacements generated by the piezoelectric device. These measurements are used to evaluate the effective piezoelectric charge constant along the polarization direction (d33)eff that characterizes the thick-film transducer.  相似文献

Nonlinear structure of Gaussian laser beam in axial non-uniform underdense collisional plasma is investigated. Due to the combination effect of nonlinear ohmic heating and non-uniform of plasma, and which it modifies electrons temperature and density distribution. On the one hand, due to the effect of the nonlinear ohmic heating, electron temperature and electron density oscillations become highly peaked. On the other hand, due to add the influence of non-uniform of plasma, lead to the departure from sinusoidal shape of electrons temperature, electron density and electromagnetic fields distributions. With the increase of laser intensity, these nonlinear variations become more and more obvious, and their oscillations wavelength decrease.  相似文献

为充分利用氟化氪(KrF)准分子激光放大器的长泵浦时间,探索提高激光输出效率的方法,开展紫外超短脉冲在KrF准分子激光器中多脉冲放大和组束的实验研究。采用双脉冲放大方案研究激光脉冲时间间隔对输出能量的影响,确定延时时间,提高脉冲总能量并有效抑制自发辐射(ASE)。实现了单次放大4个紫外超短脉冲,获得了近4倍于单脉冲放大的输出能量。并探索紫外超短激光脉冲的组束技术,成功应用光学角多路的方法将两个亚皮秒的紫外激光脉冲进行精确组束。  相似文献

 为了得到一个合理的He-Ne激光光束聚焦物镜,采用以正前凸型为基础的高折射率双片结构,应用Zemax软件进行优化设计,获得了弥散斑直径为0.002mm的He-Ne激光聚焦物镜,该镜头只需校正轴上点球差。实验结果表明:设计的镜头比低折射率单片透镜得到的弥散圆直径更小,达到0.0019mm,球差被控制在-0.05mm~+0.05mm范围内,MTF曲线所围面积变大,中心点亮度增高,符合实际需要。  相似文献

This paper reports on the accuracy and sensitivity of digital speckle pattern interferometry (DSPI) when it is combined with the hole drilling technique for measuring residual stresses. The in-plane displacement field generated by the introduction of a small hole is determined using an automated data analysis approach. This method is based on the calculation of the optical phase distribution through a phase-shifting method and the application of a robust iterative phase unwrapping algorithm. It is experimentally demonstrated that residual stresses can be measured with a relative uncertainty of 7.5%. It is also shown that the minimum value of residual stress that can be determined with the DSPI and hole drilling combined technique is about 10% of the yield stress of the material.  相似文献

根据激光散斑相关测量中采用的插值法、梯度算法和牛顿一拉夫森迭代法3种亚像素位移算法的特点,逐一在亚像素尺度计算出磁流体干燥过程中的同一激光散斑图的偏均值和标准差变化曲线。基于得到的偏差均值和标准差讨论了3种算法处理激光散斑图的特点,比较了3种算法处理散斑图的计算精度、稳定性和计算用时。结果显示,在小变形的亚像素位移测量时,梯度算法的精度较高,且较为稳定,计算效率也较牛顿一拉夫森算法快约9倍。因此,在进行小变形亚像素位移测量时,采用梯度算法计算激光散斑是有效的。  相似文献
