Direct decomposition of N 2 O to N 2 using perovskite hollow fiber membranes is achieved by combination with in situ oxygen removal (see picture). A coupled partial methane oxidation allows N2‐free synthesis gas to be obtained. This sustainable process combines N2O removal with the simultaneous production of valuable chemicals.

Gold caps on silicon nanowires are selectively coated with silver by autometallography (electroless deposition). Changing the conditions of silver deposition, a variety of different coating morphologies can be produced (see figure). The different silver coating morphologies are investigated in terms of their capabilities for surface enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) experiments.

A simple addition with a large impact : Addition of aromatic amines such as phenanthroline and 4‐DMAP (4‐dimethylaminopyridine) increases copper(I)‐catalyzed azide alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAC) catalytic activity of [CuCl(SIMes)] at a large range of temperatures in such a way that efficient catalysis can safely take place in hydro‐alcoholic solvents (see scheme).
