The reaction of Pb and Eu with a molten mixture of A(2)Se/P(2)Se(5)/Se produced the quaternary compounds APbPSe(4), A(4)Pb(PSe(4))(2) (A = Rb,Cs), and K(4)Eu(PSe(4))(2). The red crystals of APbPSe(4) are stable in air and water. The orange crystals of A(4)Pb(PSe(4))(2) and K(4)Eu(PSe(4))(2) disintegrate in water and over a long exposure to air. CsPbPSe(4) crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group Pnma (No. 62) with a = 18.607(4) ?, b = 7.096(4) ?, c = 6.612(4) ?, and Z = 4. Rb(4)Pb(PSe(4))(2) crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group Ibam (No. 72) with a = 19.134(9) ?, b = 9.369(3) ?, c = 10.488(3) ?, and Z = 4. The isomorphous K(4)Eu(PSe(4))(2) has a = 19.020(4) ?, b = 9.131(1) ?, c = 10.198(2) ?, and Z = 4. The APbPSe(4) have a layered structure with [PbPSe(4)](n)()(n)()(-) layers separated by A(+) ions. The coordination geometry around Pb is trigonal prismatic. The layers are composed of chains of edge sharing trigonal prisms running along the b-direction. [PSe(4)](3)(-) tetrahedra link these chains along the c-direction by sharing edges and corners with the trigonal prisms. A(4)M(PSe(4))(2) (M = Pb, Eu) has an one-dimensional structure in which [M(PSe(4))(2)](n)()(n)()(-) chains are separated by A(+) ions. The coordination geometry around M is a distorted dodecahedron. Two [PSe(4)](3)(-) ligands bridge two adjacent metal atoms, using three selenium atoms each, forming in this way a chain along the c-direction. The solid state optical absorption spectra of the compounds are reported. All compounds melt congruently in the 597-620 degrees C region.  相似文献

The new Zintl phase dibarium tritin hexaantimonide, Ba(2)Sn(3)Sb(6) has been synthesized, and its structure has been determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction methods. It crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group -Pnma with a = 13.351(1) ?, b = 4.4100(5) ?, c = 24.449(3) ?, and Z = 4 (T = -50 degrees C). The structure of Ba(2)Sn(3)Sb(6) comprises large channels [010] defined by 30-membered rings constructed from an anionic framework. This framework is built up from Sn-centered trigonal pyramids and tetrahedra, as well as zigzag chains of Sb atoms. Within the channels reside the Ba(2+) cations and additional isolated zigzag Sb-Sb chains. The simultaneous presence of Sn trigonal pyramids and tetrahedra implies that Ba(2)Sn(3)Sb(6) is a mixed-valence compound whose oxidation state notation can be best represented as (Ba(2+))(2)[(Sn(II))(2)(Sn(IV))(Sb(-)(III))(3)(Sb(-)(I))](2)(-)[(Sb(-)(I))(2)](2)(-).  相似文献

A basic bismuth(III) nitrate with the composition [Bi(6)O(4)(OH)(4)](0.5)[Bi(6)O(5)(OH)(3)](0.5)(NO(3))(5.5) formed in a slow crystal growth mode has an ordered crystal structure with the monoclinic space group P2(1) and lattice parameters a = 15.850(3), b = 14.986(3), c = 18.230(4) ?, β = 107.329(17)° and volume V = 4133.6 ?(3) (Henry et al. 2003). In a very fast crystal growth mode the complex ions disorder in another P2(1) cell with slightly different lattice parameters a = 15.8404(1), b = 15.1982(1), c = 18.3122(1) ?, β = 106.829(1)° and V = 4219.8 ?(3). This cell can be related to two smaller cells: a monoclinic C2/m cell with a = 13.7161(1), b = 15.1943(1), c = 10.2399(1) ?, β = 98.586(1)° and V = 2110.1 ?(3) and a trigonal R3 cell with a = 15.18650(6), c = 15.8416(1) ? (hexagonal setting) and V = 3164.1 ?(3). These smaller cells correspond to average structures and hence the X-ray data do not account for the difference in the structures of the two different complex ions. However, when analysing neutron powder diffraction data, it is possible to distinguish between the two complex ions using a trigonal R3 cell with a = 15.1865(1) and c = 15.8416(1) ? (hexagonal setting). In a Rietveld type structure model refinement with a total of 28 atom sites (4 Bi, 3 N, 15 O and 6 H), the composition of this sample is determined to be [Bi(6)O(4)(OH)(4)](0.54(1))[Bi(6)O(5)(OH)(3)](0.46(1))(NO(3))(5.54(1)).  相似文献

Two new quaternary sulfides, Ba(2)SbFeS(5) and Ba(2)BiFeS(5), were synthesized by using a conventional high-temperature solid-state reaction method in closed silica tubes at 1123 K. The two compounds both crystallize in the orthorhombic space group Pnma with a = 12.128(6) ?, b = 8.852(4) ?, c = 8.917(4) ?, and Z = 4 for Ba(2)SbFeS(5) and a = 12.121(5) ?, b = 8.913(4) ?, c = 8.837(4) ?, and Z = 4 for Ba(2)BiFeS(5). The crystal structure unit can be viewed as an infinite one-dimensional edge-shared MS(5) (M = Sb, Bi) tetragonal-pyramid chain with FeS(4) tetrahedra alternately arranged on two sides of the MS(5) polyhedral chain via edge-sharing (so the chain can also be written as (1)(∞)[MFeS(5)](4-)). Interestingly, the compounds have the structural type of a Ba(3)FeS(5) high-pressure phase considering one Ba(2+) is replaced by one Sb(3+)/Bi(3+), with Fe(4+) reduced to Fe(3+) for in order to maintain the electroneutrality of the system. As a result, the isolated iron ions in Ba(3)FeS(5) are bridged by intermediate MS polyhedra in Ba(2)MFeS(5) (M = Sb, Bi) compounds and form the (1)(∞)[MFeS(5)](4-) chain structure. This atom substitution of Ba(2+) by one Sb(3+)/Bi(3+) leads to a magnetic transition from paramagnetic Ba(3)FeS(5) to antiferromagnetic Ba(2)MFeS(5), resulting from an electron-exchange interaction of the iron ions between inter- or intrachains. Magnetic property measurements indicate that the two compounds are both antiferromagnetic materials with Ne?el temperatures of 13 and 35 K for Ba(2)SbFeS(5) and Ba(2)BiFeS(5), respectively. First-principles electronic structure calculations based on density functional theory show that the two compounds are both indirect-band semiconductors with band gaps of 0.93 and 1.22 eV for Ba(2)SbFeS(5) and Ba(2)BiFeS(5), respectively.  相似文献

A series of novel organically templated metal sulfates, [C(5)H(14)N(2)][M(II)(H(2)O)(6)](SO(4))(2) with (M(II) = Mn (1), Fe (2), Co (3) and Ni (4)), have been successfully synthesized by slow evaporation and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction as well as with infrared spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis and magnetic measurements. All compounds were prepared using a racemic source of the 2-methylpiperazine and they crystallized in the monoclinic systems, P2(1)/n for (1, 3) and P2(1)/c for (2,4). Crystal data are as follows: [C(5)H(14)N(2)][Mn(H(2)O)(6)](SO(4))(2), a = 6.6385(10) ?, b = 11.0448(2) ?, c = 12.6418(2) ?, β = 101.903(10)°, V = 906.98(3) ?(3), Z = 2; [C(5)H(14)N(2)][Fe(H(2)O)(6)](SO(4))(2), a = 10.9273(2) ?, b = 7.8620(10) ?, c = 11.7845(3) ?, β = 116.733(10)°, V = 904.20(3) ?(3), Z = 2; [C(5)H(14)N(2)][Co(H(2)O)(6)](SO(4))(2), a = 6.5710(2) ?, b = 10.9078(3) ?, c = 12.5518(3) ?, β = 101.547(2)°, V = 881.44(4) ?(3), Z = 2; [C(5)H(14)N(2)][Ni(H(2)O)(6)](SO(4))(2), a = 10.8328(2) ?, b = 7.8443(10) ?, c = 11.6790(2) ?, β = 116.826(10)°, V = 885.63(2) ?(3), Z = 2. The three-dimensional structure networks for these compounds consist of isolated [M(II)(H(2)O)(6)](2+) and [C(5)H(14)N(2)](2+) cations and (SO(4))(2-) anions linked by hydrogen-bonds only. The use of racemic 2-methylpiperazine results in crystallographic disorder of the amines and creation of inversion centers. The magnetic measurements indicate that the Mn complex (1) is paramagnetic, while compounds 2, 3 and 4, (M(II) = Fe, Co, Ni respectively) exhibit single ion anisotropy.  相似文献

The new antimonato polyoxovanadate [V(IV)(16)Sb(III)(4)O(42)(H(2)O)](8-) cluster (1a) is the main structural motif of the solvothermally obtained compound {(trenH(2))Zn(tren)}(2)[V(16)Sb(4)O(42)(H(2)O)]·xH(2)O (x = 6-10) (1) (tren = tris(2-aminoethyl)amine). The C(2)-symmetric cluster structure is closely related to the {V(18)O(42)} archetype. 1 crystallizes in the monoclinic space group C2/c with a = 30.7070(19) ?, b = 13.9512(5) ?, c = 23.1435(14) ?, β = 128.076(6)°, and V = 7804.8(7) ?(3). The orientation of the [Sb(III)(2)O(5)](4-) groups in each cluster leads to intermolecular Sb···O contacts and the formation of channels between the clusters. [Zn(tren)(trenH(2))] complexes with trigonal bipyramidal coordination environments are located between the [V(16)Sb(4)O(42)(H(2)O)](8-) anions, and form a three dimensional network with them via strong N-H···O hydrogen bonds. Up to 250 °C crystal water molecules are emitted, which are reversibly incorporated in humid air.  相似文献

Two new bismuth hydroxyl borates, Bi(2)O(2)[B(3)O(5)(OH)] (I) and Bi(2)O(2)[BO(2)(OH)] (II), have been synthesized under hydrothermal conditions. Their structures were determined by single-crystal and powder X-ray diffraction data, respectively. Compound I crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group Pbca with the lattice constants of a = 6.0268(3) ?, b = 11.3635(6) ?, and c = 19.348(1) ?. Compound II crystallizes in the monoclinic space group Cm with the lattice constants of a = 5.4676(6) ?, b = 14.6643(5) ?, c = 3.9058(1) ?, and β = 135.587(6)°. The borate fundamental building block (FBB) in I is a three-ring unit [B(3)O(6)(OH)](4-), which connects one by one via sharing corners, forming an infinite zigzag chain along the a direction. The borate chains are further linked by hydrogen bonds, showing as a borate layer within the ab plane. The FBB in II is an isolated [BO(2)(OH)](2-) triangle, which links to two neighboring FBBs by strong hydrogen bonds, resulting in a borate chain along the a direction. Both compounds contain [Bi(2)O(2)](2+) layers, and the [Bi(2)O(2)](2+) layers combine with the corresponding borate layers alternatively, forming the whole structures. These two new bismuth borates are the first ones containing [Bi(2)O(2)](2+) layers in borates. The appearance of Bi(2)O(2)[BO(2)(OH)] (II) completes the series of compounds Bi(2)O(2)[BO(2)(OH)], Bi(2)O(2)CO(3), and Bi(2)O(2)[NO(3)(OH)] and the formation of Bi(2)O(2)[B(3)O(5)(OH)] provides another example in demonstrating the polymerization tendency of borate groups.  相似文献

The salts (Ph(4)E)[M(SOCPh)(3)] (M = Zn, Cd, or Hg; E = P or As) are produced by the reaction of Zn(NO(3))(2).6 H(2)O, Cd(NO(3))(2).4H(2)O or HgCl(2) with Et(3)NH(+)PhCOS(-) and (Ph(4)E)X (E = P, X = Br; E = As, X = Cl) in aqueous MeOH in the ratios M(II):PhCOS(-):Ph(4)E(+) = 1:>/=3:>/=1. The crystal structures of (Ph(4)P)[Zn(SOCPh)(3)] (1), (Ph(4)As)[Cd(SOCPh)(3)] (2) and (Ph(4)P)[Hg(SOCPh)(3)] (3) have been determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction experiments. Crystal data for 1: triclinic; space group P&onemacr;; Z = 2; a = 10.819(2) ?, b = 13.219(3) ?, c = 15.951(3) ?; alpha = 101.75(2) degrees, beta = 97.92(1) degrees, gamma = 109.18(2) degrees. Crystal data for 2: triclinic; space group P&onemacr;; Z= 2; a = 10.741(2) ?, b = 13.168(2) ?, c = 15.809(2) ?; alpha = 101.00(1) degrees, beta = 97.65(1) degrees, gamma = 109.88(1) degrees. Crystal data for 3: monoclinic; space group P2(1)/n; Z = 4; a = 13.302(2) ?, b = 14.276(2) ?, c = 21.108(2) ?; beta = 90.92(1) degrees. The compounds 1 and 2 are isomorphous and isostructural. In the anions [M(SOCPh)(3)](-) the metal atoms have trigonal planar coordination by three sulfur atoms. The metal atoms are further more weakly coordinated intramolecularly to one (M = Hg) or two (M = Zn, Cd) thiobenzoate oxygen atom(s). Using the Bond Valence approach it is found that the contribution of M.O bonding to the total bonding is in the order Cd > Zn > Hg. The metal ((113)Cd, (199)Hg) NMR signals of [M(SOCPh)(3)](-) (M = Cd, Hg) are more shielded than those found for MS(3) kernels in thiolate complexes, a difference attributed to the M(.)O bonding in the thiobenzoate complexes. The (113)Cd resonance of [Cd(SOCPh)(3)](-) in dilute solution is in the region anticipated from dilution data for [Na(Cd{SOCPh}(3))(2)](-).  相似文献

An extensive series of radical salts formed by the organic donor bis(ethylenedithio)tetrathiafulvalene (ET), the paramagnetic tris(oxalato)ferrate(III) anion [Fe(C(2)O(4))(3)](3-), and halobenzene guest molecules has been synthesized and characterized. The change of the halogen atom in this series has allowed the study of the effect of the size and charge polarization on the crystal structures and physical properties while keeping the geometry of the guest molecule. The general formula of the salts is ET(4)[A(I)Fe(C(2)O(4))(3)]·G with A/G = H(3)O(+)/PhF (1); H(3)O(+)/PhCl (2); H(3)O(+)/PhBr (3), and K(+)/PhI (4), (crystal data at room temperature: (1) monoclinic, space group C2/c with a = 10.3123(2) ?, b = 20.0205(3) ?, c = 35.2732(4) ?, β = 92.511(2)°, V = 7275.4(2) ?(3), Z = 4; (2) monoclinic, space group C2/c with a = 10.2899(4) ?, b = 20.026(10) ?, c = 35.411(10) ?, β = 92.974°, V = 7287(4) ?(3), Z = 4; (3) monoclinic, space group C2/c with a = 10.2875(3) ?, b = 20.0546(15) ?, c = 35.513(2) ?, β = 93.238(5)°, V = 7315.0(7) ?(3), Z = 4; (4) monoclinic, space group C2/c with a = 10.2260(2) ?, b = 19.9234(2) ?, c = 35.9064(6) ?, β = 93.3664(6)°, V = 7302.83(18) ?(3), Z = 4). The crystal structures at 120 K evidence that compounds 1-3 undergo a structural transition to a lower symmetry phase when the temperature is lowered (crystal data at 120 K: (1) triclinic, space group P1 with a = 10.2595(3) ?, b = 11.1403(3) ?, c = 34.9516(9) ?, α = 89.149(2)°, β = 86.762(2)°, γ = 62.578(3)°, V = 3539.96(19) ?(3), Z = 2; (2) triclinic, space group P1 with a = 10.25276(14) ?, b = 11.15081(13) ?, c = 35.1363(5) ?, α = 89.0829(10)°, β = 86.5203(11)°, γ = 62.6678(13)°, V = 3561.65(8) ?(3), Z = 2; (3) triclinic, space group P1 with a = 10.25554(17) ?, b = 11.16966(18) ?, c = 35.1997(5) ?, α = 62.7251(16)°, β = 86.3083(12)°, γ = 62.7251(16)°, V = 3575.99(10) ?(3), Z = 2; (4) monoclinic, space group C2/c with a = 10.1637(3) ?, b = 19.7251(6) ?, c = 35.6405(11) ?, β = 93.895(3)°, V = 7128.7(4) ?(3), Z = 4). A detailed crystallographic study shows a change in the symmetry of the crystal for compound 3 at about 200 K. This structural transition arises from the partial ordering of some ethylene groups in the ET molecules and involves a slight movement of the halobenzene guest molecules (which occupy hexagonal cavities in the anionic layers) toward one of the adjacent organic layers, giving rise to two nonequivalent organic layers at 120 K (compared to only one at room temperature). The structural transition at about 200 K is also observed in the electrical properties of 1-3 and in the magnetic properties of 1. The direct current (dc) conductivity shows metallic behavior in salts 1-3 with superconducting transitions at about 4.0 and 1.0 K in salts 3 and 1, respectively. Salt 4 shows a semiconductor behavior in the temperature range 300-50 K with an activation energy of 64 meV. The magnetic measurements confirm the presence of high spin S = 5/2 [Fe(C(2)O(4))(3)](3-) isolated monomers together with a Pauli paramagnetism, typical of metals, in compounds 1-3. The magnetic properties can be very well reproduced in the whole temperature range with a simple model of isolated S = 5/2 ions with a zero field splitting plus a temperature independent paramagnetism (Nα) with the following parameters: g = 1.965, |D| = 0.31 cm(-1), and Nα = 1.5 × 10(-3) emu mol(-1) for 1, g = 2.024, |D| = 0.65 cm(-1), and Nα = 1.4 × 10(-3) emu mol(-1) for 2, and g = 2.001, |D| = 0.52 cm(-1), and Nα = 1.5 × 10(-3) emu mol(-1) for 3.  相似文献

Ni-centered deltahedral Sn(9) clusters with a charge of 4-, i.e., [Ni@Sn(9)](4-), were extracted in ethylenediamine in high yield directly from intermetallic precursors with the nominal composition "K(4)Sn(9)Ni(3)". The new endohedral clusters were crystallized and structurally characterized in K[K(18-crown-6)](3)[Ni@Sn(9)]·3benzene (1a, triclinic, P1?, a = 10.2754(5) ?, b = 19.5442(9) ?, and c = 20.5576(13) ?, α = 73.927(3)°, β = 79.838(4)°, and γ = 84.389(3)°, V = 3899.6(4) ?(3), Z = 2) and K[K(2,2,2-crypt)](3)[Ni@Sn(9)] (1b, triclinic, P1, a = 15.8028(8) ?, b = 16.21350(9) ?, and c = 20.1760(12) ?, α = 98.71040(10)°, β = 104.4690(10)°, and γ = 118.3890(10)°, V = 4181.5(4) ?(3), Z = 2). The alternative method of a post-synthetic insertion of a Ni atom in empty Sn(9) clusters by a reaction with Ni(cod)(2) predominantly produces the more-oxidized clusters with a charge of 3-, i.e., the recently reported [Ni@Sn(9)](3-). Nonetheless, using substoichiometric amounts of 18-crown-6 as a cation sequestering agent, we also have been able to isolate the 4- clusters as a minor phase from such reactions. They were structurally characterized in K[K(en)][K(18-crown-6)](2)[Ni@Sn(9)]·0.5en (2, monoclinic, P2(1)/n, a = 10.4153(5) ?, b = 25.6788(11) ?, and c = 20.6630(9) ?, β = 102.530(2)°, V = 5394.7(4) ?(3), Z = 2). The ability of the Ni-centered clusters to exist with both 3- and 4- charges parallels the same ability of the empty clusters and is very promising for similarly rich chemistry involving electron transfer and flexible "oxidation states". We also report the synthesis and characterization of the endohedral heteroatomic dimer [{Ni@Sn(8)(μ-Ge)(1/2)}(2)](4-) composed of two [Ni@(Sn(8)Ge)]-clusters fused at the Ge-vertex. The dimer was synthesized by reacting an ethylenediamine solution of a ternary precursor with the nominal composition "K(4)Ge(4.5)Sn(4.5)", which is known to produce heteroatomic Ge(9-x)Sn(x) clusters, with Ni(cod)(2). It is isostructural with the reported [{Ni@Sn(8)(μ-Sn)(1/2)}(2)](4-) and is structurally characterized in [K-(2,2,2-crypt)](4)[{Ni@Sn(8)(μ-Ge)(1/2)}(2)]·2en (3, monoclinic, C2/c, a = 30.636(2) ?, b = 16.5548(12) ?, and c = 28.872(2) ?, β = 121.2140(10)°, V = 12523.5(15) ?(3), Z = 4).  相似文献

New precursors to potentially conductive noninteger oxidation state (NIOS) compounds based on metal complexes [ML(2)](n)()(-) [M = Ni, Pd, Pt; L = 5,6-dihydro-1,4-dithiin-2,3-dithiolato (dddt(2)(-)), 5,7-dihydro-1,4,6-trithiin-2,3-dithiolato (dtdt(2)(-)), and 2-thioxo-1,3-dithiole-4,5-dithiolato (dmit(2)(-)); n = 2, 1, 0] have been investigated. Complexes of the series (NR(4))[ML(2)] (R = Me, Et, Bu; L = dddt(2)(-), dtdt(2)(-)) have been isolated and characterized, and the crystal structure of (NBu(4))[Pt(dtdt)(2)] (1) has been determined {1 = C(24)H(44)NPtS(10), a = 12.064(2) ?, b = 17.201(3) ?, c = 16.878(2) ?, beta = 102.22(2) degrees, V = 3423(1) ?(3), monoclinic, P2(1)/n, Z = 4}. Oxidation of these complexes affords the corresponding neutral species [ML(2)](0). Another series of general formula (cation)(n)()[M(dmit)(2)] [cation = PPN(+), BTP(+), and (SMe(y)()Et(3)(-)(y)())(+) with y = 0, 1, 2, and 3, n = 2, 1, M = Ni, Pd] has also been studied. All of these (cation)(n)()[M(dmit)(2)] complexes have been isolated and characterized [with the exception of (cation)[Pd(dmit)(2)] for cation = (SMe(y)()Et(3)(-)(y)())(+)]. The crystal structures of (PPN)[Ni(dmit)(2)].(CH(3))(2)CO (2) and (SMeEt(2))[Ni(dmit)(2)] (3) have been determined {2 = C(45)H(36)NNiS(10)P(2)O, a = 12.310(2) ?, b = 13.328(3) ?, c = 15.850(3) ?, alpha = 108.19(3) degrees, beta = 96.64(2) degrees, gamma = 99.67(2) degrees, V = 2373(1) ?(3), triclinic, P&onemacr;, Z = 2; 3 = C(11)H(13)NiS(11), a = 7.171(9) ?, b = 17.802(3) ?, c = 16.251(3) ?, beta = 94.39(4) degrees, V = 2068(2) ?(3), monoclinic, P2(1)/n, Z = 4} NIOS salts derived from the preceding precursors were obtained by electrochemical oxidation. Electrochemical studies of the [M(dddt)(2)] complexes show that they may be used for the preparation of NIOS radical cation salts and [M(dddt)(2)][M'(dmit)(2)](x)() compounds, but not for the preparation of (cation)[M(dddt)(2)](z)() NIOS radical anion salts. The electrochemical oxidation of the [M(dtdt)(2)](-) complexes always yields the neutral [M(dtdt)(2)](0) species. The crystal structure of [Pt(dddt)(2)][Ni(dmit)(2)](2) (4) has been determined and is consistent with the low compaction powder conductivity (5 x 10(-)(5) S cm(-)(1) at room temperature) {4 = C(20)H(8)Ni(2)PtS(28), a = 20.336(4) ?, b = 7.189(2) ?, c = 14.181(2) ?, beta = 97.16(2) degrees, V = 2057(1) ?(3), monoclinic, C2/m, Z = 2}. The crystal structures of the semiconducting NIOS compounds (BTP)[Ni(dmit)(2)](3) (5) and (SMe(3))[Ni(dmit)(2)](2) (6) have been determined {5 = C(43)H(22)PNi(3)S(30), a = 11.927(2) ?, b = 24.919(2) ?, c = 11.829(3) ?, alpha = 93.11(1) degrees, beta = 110.22(1) degrees, gamma = 83.94(1) degrees, V = 3284(1) ?(3), triclinic, P&onemacr;, Z = 2; 6 = C(15)H(9)Ni(2)S(21), a = 7.882(1) ?, b = 11.603(2) ?, c = 17.731(2) ?, alpha = 77.44(1) degrees, beta = 94.39(1) degrees, gamma = 81.27(1) degrees, V = 1563(1) ?(3), triclinic, P&onemacr;, Z = 2}. The parent compound (SEt(3))[Ni(dmit)(2)](z) (unknown stoichiometry) is also a semiconductor with a single-crystal conductivity at room temperature of 10 S cm(-)(1). By contrast, the single-crystal conductivity at room temperature of (SMeEt(2))[Pd(dmit)(2)](2) (7) is rather high (100 S cm(-)(1)). 7 behaves as a pseudometal down to 150 K and undergoes an irreversible metal-insulator transition below this temperature. The crystal structure of 7 has been determined {7 = C(17)H(13)NPd(2)S(21), a = 7.804(4) ?, b = 36.171(18) ?, c = 6.284(2) ?, alpha = 91.68(4) degrees, beta = 112.08(4) degrees, gamma = 88.79(5) degrees, V = 1643(1) ?(3), triclinic, P&onemacr;, Z = 2}. The electronic structure of (SMeEt(2))[Pd(dmit)(2)](2) (7) and the possible origin of the metal-insulator transition at 150 K are discussed on the basis of tight-binding band structure calculations.  相似文献

A series of mercury(II) ionic liquids, [C(n)mim][HgX(3)], where [C(n)mim] = n-alkyl-3-methylimidazolium with n = 3, 4 and X = Cl, Br, have been synthesized following two different synthetic approaches, and structurally characterized by means of single-crystal X-ray structure analysis ([C(3)mim][HgCl(3)] (1), Cc (No. 9), Z = 4, a = 16.831(4) ?, b = 10.7496(15) ?, c = 7.4661(14) ?, β = 105.97(2)°, V = 1298.7(4) ?(3) at 298 K; [C(4)mim][HgCl(3)] (2), Cc (No. 9), Z = 4, a = 17.3178(28) ?, b = 10.7410(15) ?, c = 7.4706(14) ?, β = 105.590(13)°, V = 1338.5(4) ?(3) at 170 K; [C(3)mim][HgBr(3)] (3), P2(1)/c (No. 14), Z = 4, a = 10.2041(10) ?, b = 10.7332(13) ?, c = 14.5796(16) ?, β = 122.47(2)°, V = 1347.2(3) ?(3) at 170 K; [C(4)mim][HgBr(3)] (4), Cc (No. 9), Z = 4, a = 17.093(3) ?, b = 11.0498(14) ?, c = 7.8656(12) ?, β = 106.953(13)°, V = 1421.1(4) ?(3) at 170 K). Compounds 1, 2, and 4 are isostructural and are characterized by strongly elongated trigonal [HgX(5)] bipyramids, which are connected via common edges in chains. In contrast, 3 contains [Hg(2)Br(6)] units formed by two edge-sharing tetrahedra. With melting points of 69.3 °C (1), 93.9 °C (2), 39.5 °C (3), and 58.3 °C (4), all compounds qualify as ionic liquids. 1, 2, and 4 solidify upon fast cooling as glasses, whereas 3 crystallizes. Cyclic voltammetry shows two separate, quasi-reversible redox processes, which can be associated with the 2Hg(2+)/Hg(2)(2+) and Hg(2)(2+)/2Hg redox couples.  相似文献

Reaction of [Zr(6)Cl(18)H(5)](3)(-) (1) with 1 equiv of TiCl(4) yields a new cluster anion, [Zr(6)Cl(18)H(5)](2)(-) (2), which can be converted back into [Zr(6)Cl(18)H(5)](3)(-) (1) upon addition of 1 equiv of Na/Hg. Cluster 2 is paramagnetic and unstable in the presence of donor molecules. It undergoes a disproportionation reaction to form 1, some Zr(IV) compounds, and H(2). It also reacts with TiCl(4) to form [Zr(2)Cl(9)](-) (4) and a tetranuclear mixed-metal species, [Zr(2)Ti(2)Cl(16)](2)(-) (3). The oxidation reaction of 1 with TiCl(4) is unique. Oxidation of 1 with H(+) in CH(2)Cl(2) solution results in the formation of [ZrCl(6)](2)(-) (5) and H(2), while in py solution the oxidation product is [ZrCl(5)(py)](-) (6). There is no reaction between 1 and TiI(4), ZrCl(4), [TiCl(6)](2)(-), [ZrCl(6)](2)(-), or CrCl(3). Two new vanadotellurates, [HTeV(9)O(28)](4-) and [H(2)TeV(9)O(28)](3-) have been synthesized and structurally characterized as tetra-n-butylammonium (TBA) salts: TBA(4)[HTeV(9)O(28)]·2CH(3)CN [triclinic, space group P ?1, a = 16.7102(6) ?, b = 17.4680(7) ?, c = 17.9634(7) ?, α = 74.412(1)°, β = 67.494(1)°, γ = 74.160(2)°, Z = 2] and TBA(3)[H(2)TeV(9)O(28)] [monoclinic, space group P2(1)/c, a = 13.0013(5) ?, b = 19.157(1) ?, c = 28.453(1) ?, β = 97.222(2)°, Z = 4]. The results of the structural analyses indicate that the four O atoms that bridge two V atoms on the Te side are the most basic ones in the structure. The results of density-functional theory (DFT) calculations support this view.  相似文献

Single crystals of [pyH(+)](2)[CuNb(2)(py)(4)O(2)F(10)](2)(-) and CuNb(py)(4)OF(5) were synthesized in a (HF)(x)().pyridine/pyridine/water solution (150 degrees C, 24 h, autogeneous pressure) using CuO and Nb(2)O(5) as reagents. The compound [pyH(+)](2)[CuNb(2)(py)(4)O(2)F(10)](2)(-) contains clusters of [CuNb(2)(py)(4)O(2)F(10)](2)(-) anions linked through N-H(+).F hydrogen bonds to the [pyH(+)] cations. In contrast CuNb(py)(4)OF(5) is a unidimensional compound consisting only of chains, perpendicular to the c axis, of alternating [Cu(py)(4)(O/F)(2/2)](0.5+) and [NbF(4)(O/F)(2/)(2)](0.5)(-) octahedra. The chains change direction between the [110] and [1&onemacr;0] every c/2. Two new mixed-valent tellurium oxides with vanadium(V), A(4)V(6)[Te(2)(4+)Te(6+)]O(24) (A = K and Rb), have been synthesized by hydrothermal and conventional solid state techniques. Their structures were determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. These two iso-structural compounds exhibit layered structural topologies consisting of [V(6)Te(3)O(24)](4-) anionic units. In these anionic structural units, a Te(6+)O(6) octahedron is connected to six VO(4) tetrahedra by corner-sharing to generate a [V(6)TeO(24)] unit, and each of these [V(6)TeO(24)] units are interconnected by sharing two Te(4+)O(3) polyhedra to complete the infinite [V(6)Te(3)O(24)](4-) sheets. Infrared spectroscopy, UV-Visible diffuse reflectance spectroscopy, and thermogravimetric analysis were also performed on these two compounds. Crystal data: K(4)V(6)Te(3)O(24), trigonal, space group R ?3c (No. 167) with a = b = 9.7075(6) ?, c = 42.701(3) ?, V = 3484.9(4) ?(3), and Z = 6; Rb(4)V(6)Te(3)O(24), trigonal, space group R ?3c (No. 167) with a = b = 9.8399(9) ?, c = 43.012(4) ?, V = 3606.6(6) ?(3), and Z = 6.  相似文献

Ethylenediamine (en) solutions of [eta(4)-P(7)M(CO)(3)](3)(-) ions [M = W (1a), Mo (1b)] react under one atmosphere of CO to form microcrystalline yellow powders of [eta(2)-P(7)M(CO)(4)](3)(-) complexes [M = W (4a), Mo (4b)]. Compounds 4 are unstable, losing CO to re-form 1, but are highly nucleophilic and basic. They are protonated with methanol in en solvent giving [eta(2)-HP(7)M(CO)(4)](2)(-) ions (5) and are alkylated with R(4)N(+) salts in en solutions to give [eta(2)-RP(7)M(CO)(4)](2)(-) complexes (6) in good yields (R = alkyl). Compounds 5 and 6 can also be prepared by carbonylations of the [eta(4)-HP(7)M(CO)(3)](2)(-) (3) and [eta(4)-RP(7)M(CO)(3)](2)(-) (2) precursors, respectively. The carbonylations of 1-3 to form 4-6 require a change from eta(4)- to eta(2)-coordination of the P(7) cages in order to maintain 18-electron configurations at the metal centers. Comparative protonation/deprotonation studies show 4 to be more basic than 1. The compounds were characterized by IR and (1)H, (13)C, and (31)P NMR spectroscopic studies and microanalysis where appropriate. The [K(2,2,2-crypt)](+) salts of 5 were characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction. For 5, the M-P bonds are very long (2.71(1) ?, average). The P(7)(3)(-) cages of 5 are not displaced by dppe. The P(7) cages in 4-6 have nortricyclane-like structures in contrast to the norbornadiene-type geometries observed for 1-3. (31)P NMR spectroscopic studies for 5-6 show C(1) symmetry in solution (seven inequivalent phosphorus nuclei), consistent with the structural studies for 5, and C(s)() symmetry for 4 (five phosphorus nuclei in a 2:2:1:1:1 ratio). Crystallographic data for [K(2,2,2-crypt)](2)[eta(2)-HP(7)W(CO)(4)].en: monoclinic, space group C2/c, a = 23.067(20) ?, b = 12.6931(13) ?, c = 21.433(2) ?, beta = 90.758(7) degrees, V = 6274.9(10) ?(3), Z = 4, R(F) = 0.0573, R(w)(F(2)) = 0.1409. In analogy to the [M(II)(bpy)(3)](2+) cations, where M(II) is a divalent transition-metal and bpy is 2,2'-bipyridine, the tris-chelated [M(III)(bpy)(3)](3+) cations, where M(III) is Cr(III) or Co(III), induce the crystallization of chiral, anionic three-dimensional (3D) coordination polymers of oxalate-bridged (&mgr;-ox) metal complexes with stoichiometries [M(II)(2)(ox)(3)](n)()(2)(n)()(-) or [M(I)M(III)(ox)(3)](n)()(2)(n)()(-). The tripositive charge is partially compensated by inclusion of additional complex anions like ClO(4)(-), BF(4)(-), or PF(6)(-) which are encapsulated in cubic shaped cavities formed by the bipyridine ligands of the cations. Thus, an elaborate structure of cationic and anionic species within a polymeric anionic network is realized. The compounds isolated and structurally characterized include [Cr(III)(bpy)(3)][ClO(4)] [NaCr(III)(ox)(3)] (1), [Cr(III)(bpy)(3)][ClO(4)][Mn(II)(2)(ox)(3)] (2), [Cr(III)(bpy)(3)][BF(4)] [Mn(II)(2)(ox)(3)] (3), [Co(III)(bpy)(3)][PF(6)][NaCr(III)(ox)(3)] (4). Crystal data: 1, cubic, P2(1)3, a = 15.523(4) ?, Z = 4; 2, cubic, P4(1)32, a = 15.564(3) ?, Z = 4; 3, cubic, P4(1)32, a = 15.553(3) ?, Z = 4; 4, cubic, P2(1)3, a = 15.515(3) ?, Z = 4. Furthermore, it seemed likely that 1,2-dithiooxalate (dto) could act as an alternative to the oxalate bridging ligand, and as a result the compound [Ni(II)(phen)(3)][NaCo(III)(dto)(3)].C(3)H(6)O (5) has successfully been isolated and structurally characterized. Crystal data: 5, orthorhombic, P2(1)2(1)2(1), a = 16.238(4) ?, b = 16.225(4) ?, c = 18.371(5) ?, Z = 4. In addition, the photophysical properties of compound 1 have been investigated in detail. In single crystal absorption spectra of [Cr(III)(bpy)(3)][ClO(4)][NaCr(III)(ox)(3)] (1), the spin-flip transitions of both the [Cr(bpy)(3)](3+) and the [Cr(ox)(3)](3)(-) chromophores are observed and can be clearly distinguished. Irradiating into the spin-allowed (4)A(2) --> (4)T(2) absorption band of [Cr(ox)(3)](3)(-) results in intense luminescence from the (2)E state of [Cr(bpy)(3)](3+) as a result of rapid energy transfer processes.  相似文献

The complexes have been characterised by elemental analysis, IR spectroscopy and single-crystal X-ray diffraction studies. The complexes 1, 2, and 3 crystallise in the monoclinic space group P2(1)/c with cell dimensions a = 9.347(1), b = 11.507(2), c = 18.539(2) ?, β = 93.774(2)°, Z = 2 (for 1), a = 9.111(4), b = 12.089(6), c = 18.724(8) ?, β = 92.117(7)°, Z = 2 (for 2), and a = 11.328(2), b = 22.468(5), c = 8.270(2) ?, β = 93.74(3)°, Z = 2 (for 3), while complexes 4 and 5 crystallise in the triclinic space group P1, with cell dimensions a = 7.483(1), b = 9.990(2), c = 12.155(2) ?, α = 75.27(3), β = 85.00(3), γ = 73.82(3)°, Z = 1 (for 4), and a = 7.008(1), b = 10.081(2), c = 13.095(3) ?, α = 100.62(3), β = 95.51(3), γ = 104.03(3)°, Z = 1 (for 5). It is interesting that the mono-Schiff bases 4-chloro-2-[(3-cyclohexylaminopropylimino)methyl]phenol (HCCP) and 4-bromo-2-[(3-cyclohexylaminopropylimino)methyl]phenol (HBCP) used to prepare the nickel(II) and manganese(II) complexes were transferred to bis-Schiff bases H(2)CPA and H(2)BPA in the complexes 1, 2, and 3, while the mono-Schiff bases HCCP and HBCP used to prepare the zinc(II) complexes were transferred to novel ligands H(2)CMP and H(2)BMP, bearing the unexpected, newly formed carbon-nitrogen single bond.  相似文献

Reactions in acetonitrile between 1,4-benzene-dicarboxylic acid (C(8)H(6)O(4)) and a hexanuclear complex of lanthanide [Ln(6)O(OH)(8)(NO(3))(6)·2NO(3)] with Ln = Y or Tb lead to 1D-coordination polymers with the general chemical formula {[Ln(6)O(OH)(8)](NO(3))(2)(bdc)(Hbdc)(2)·2NO(3)·H(2)bdc}(∞) where H(2)bdc stands for 1,4-benzene-dicarboxylic acid (or terephthalic acid). These two compounds are isostructural. The crystal structure has been solved on the basis of the X-ray powder diffraction diagram of the Y-containing compound. This compound crystallizes in the triclinic system, space group P1 (no. 2) with a = 10.4956(6) ?, b = 11.529(2) ?, c = 12.357(2) ?, α = 86.869(9)°, β = 114.272(6)°, γ = 71.624(7)°, V = 1264.02 ?(3), and Z = 2. The crystal structure can be described as the juxtaposition of linear chains of hexanuclear entities linked to each other by terephthalate ligands. Two additional partially protonated terephthalate ligands spreading laterally to the chain are bound to each hexanuclear entity. Another diprotonated terephthalic ligand and two nitrate ions ensuring the electroneutrality of the crystal structure lie in the interchain space. These two compounds are thermally stable until 200 °C. Thanks to a so-called antenna effect, the Tb-containing compound, despite short intermetallic distances, exhibits a strong luminescence under UV irradiation.  相似文献
