First and Second Order Convex Sweeping Processes in Reflexive Smooth Banach Spaces

In this paper we establish new characterizations of the normal cone of closed convex sets in reflexive smooth Banach spaces and then we use those results to prove the existence of solutions for first order convex sweeping processes and their variants in reflexive smooth Banach spaces. The case of second order convex sweeping processes is also studied.     

Well-Separating Common Complements for Sequences of Subspaces of the Same Codimension are Generic in Hilbert Spaces

Given a family of subspaces of a Banach or Hilbert space, we investigate existence, quantity and quality of its common complements. In particular, we are interested in common complements for countable families of closed subspaces of finite codimension. For those families, we show that common complements with subexponential decay of quality are generic in Hilbert spaces. Moreover, we prove that the existence of one such complement in a Banach space already implies that they are generic.

Central Subspaces of Banach Spaces

In this paper we study Banach spaces that admit weighted Chebyshev centres for finite sets. Such spaces have been extensively studied recently by Veselý using the approach of finitely intersecting balls. Following his approach we exhibit large classes of Banach spaces that have this property. Certain stability results for spaces of vector valued continuous and Bochner integrable functions are also obtained.     

Interpolation of Limited and Weakly Compact Operators on Families of Banach Spaces

In this paper, we study how the limited and weakly compact properties of operators are preserved by interpolation of the real method for infinite families of Banach spaces introduced by Carro in Studia Math. 109 (1994). We apply these results to the case of Sparr, Fernández and Cobos–Peetre methods of interpolation for finite families.

Some Characterizations of Hereditarily Indecomposable Banach Spaces

In this paper we first discuss the relations between some G-M-type spaces, and the previous eight kinds of G-M-type Banach spaces are merged into four different kinds. Then we build a Generalized Operator Extension Theorem, and introduce the concept of complete minimal sequences. Some sufficient and necessary conditions under which a Banach space is a hereditarily indecomposable space are given. Finally, we give some characterizations of hereditarily indecomposable Banach Spaces.

Order Structures in Banach Spaces of Analytic Functions

In this paper we consider some Banach spaces of analytic functions on the unit disk generated by the cone of analytic functions with monotone decreasing Taylor coefficients. We get that some of these spaces are Banach lattices with respect to this cone. Different ordered spaces of linear bounded operators acting between the previous spaces are also investigated, with emphasis on the so-called regular multipliers and Hankel operators.     

Convergence of a Hybrid Projection Algorithm in Banach Spaces

In this paper, we consider a hybrid projection algorithm for two families of quasi-φ-nonexpansive mappings. We establish strong convergence theorems of common fixed points in the framework of Banach spaces. Our results improve and extend the corresponding results announced by many others.

Locally Asplund Preduals of Spaces of Holomorphic Functions

Defant [5] introduced the local Radon–Nikodym property for duals of locally convex spaces. This is a generalization of Asplund spaces as defined in Banach space theory. In this paper we generalise Dunford"s Theorem [7] to Banach spaces with Schauder decompositions and apply this result to spaces of holomorphic functions on balanced domains in a Banach space. Approximate Methods for Generalized Inverses of Operators in Banach Spaces

In this paper, we present the necessary and sufficient condition of convergence of several iterative methods for computing the generalized inverses of operators in Banach spaces. It is proved that the iterative methods converge to the generalized inverse of an Operator in Banach spaces if and only if these conditions are satisfied.     

Examples of Coorbit Spaces for Dual Pairs

In this paper we summarize and give examples of a generalization of the coorbit space theory initiated in the 1980’s by H.G. Feichtinger and K.H. Gröchenig. Coorbit theory has been a powerful tool in characterizing Banach spaces of distributions with the use of integrable representations of locally compact groups. Examples are a wavelet characterization of the Besov spaces and a characterization of some Bergman spaces by the discrete series representation of SL₂(?). We present examples of Banach spaces which could not be covered by the previous theory, and we also provide atomic decompositions for an example related to a non-integrable representation.     

Orthogonally Complemented Subspaces in Banach Spaces

In this paper, we extend the Moreau (Riesz) decomposition theorem from Hilbert spaces to Banach spaces. Criteria for a closed subspace to be (strongly) orthogonally complemented in a Banach space are given. We prove that every closed subspace of a Banach space X with dim X ≥ 3 (dim X ≤ 2) is strongly orthognally complemented if and only if the Banach space X is isometric to a Hilbert space (resp. strictly convex), which is complementary to the well-known result saying that every closed subspace of a Banach space X is topologically complemented if and only if the Banach space X is isomorphic to a Hilbert space.     

Sampling in Reproducing Kernel Banach Spaces

It is well-known the close relationship between reproducing kernel Hilbert spaces and sampling theory. The concept of reproducing kernel Hilbert space has been recently generalized to the case of Banach spaces. In this paper, some sampling results are proven in this new setting of reproducing kernel Banach spaces.     

Sufcient Conditions for Error Bounds and Linear Regularity in Banach Spaces

In this paper,we study error bounds for lower semicontinuous functions defned on Banach space and linear regularity for fnitely many closed subset in Banach spaces.By using Clarke's subdiferentials and Ekeland variational principle,we establish several sufcient conditions ensuring error bounds and linear regularity in Banach spaces.
