Dynamical quantum groups were recently introduced by Etingof and Varchenko as an algebraic framework for studying the dynamical Yang–Baxter equation, which is precisely the Yang–Baxter equation satisfied by 6j-symbols. We investigate one of the simplest examples, generalizing the standard SU(2) quantum group. The matrix elements for its corepresentations are identified with Askey–Wilson polynomials, and the Haar measure with the Askey–Wilson measure. The discrete orthogonality of the matrix elements yield the orthogonality of q-Racah polynomials (or quantum 6j-symbols). The Clebsch–Gordan coefficients for representations and corepresentations are also identified with q-Racah polynomials. This results in new algebraic proofs of the Biedenharn–Elliott identity satisfied by quantum 6j-symbols.  相似文献

We investigate solutions for a particular class of linear equations in dendriform algebras. Motivations as well as several applications are provided. The latter follow naturally from the intimate link between dendriform algebras and Rota–Baxter operators, e.g. the Riemann integral map or Jackson's q-integral.  相似文献

We first recall a canonical procedure for the construction of the invariant differential operators and equations for arbitrary complex or real noncompact semisimple Lie groups. Then we present the application of this procedure to the case of quantum groups. In detail is given the construction of representations of the quantum algebra U q (sl(n)) labelled by n–1 complex numbers and acting in the spaces of functions of n(n–1)/2 noncommuting variables, which generate a q-deformed SL(4) flag manifold. The conditions for reducibility of these representations and the procedure for the construction of the q-difference intertwining operators are given. Using these results for the case n=4 we propose infinite hierarchies of q-difference equations which are q-conformal invariant. The lowest member of one of these hierarchies are new q-Maxwell equations. We propose also new q-Minkowski spacetime which is part of a q-deformed SU(2,2) flag manifold.  相似文献

Representations of quantum superalgebras provide a natural framework in which to model supersymmetric quantum systems. Each quantum superalgebra, belonging to the class of quasi-triangular Hopf superalgebras, contains a universal R-matrix which automatically satisfies the Yang–Baxter equation. Applying the vector representation π, which acts on the vector module V, to the left-hand side of a universal R-matrix gives a Lax operator. In this article a Lax operator is constructed for the quantised orthosymplectic superalgebras U q [osp(m|n)] for all m > 2, n ≥ 0 where n is even. This can then be used to find a solution to the Yang–Baxter equation acting on VVW, where W is an arbitrary U q [osp(m|n)] module. The case W = V is studied as an example. Presented by A. Verschoren.  相似文献

We propose a method for construction of the general solution of the Yang–Baxter equation with the U q (sℓ n ) symmetry algebra. This method is based on the factorization property of the corresponding L-operator. We present a closed-form expression for the universal R-matrix in the form of a difference operator acting on the space of functions of n(n − 1) variables. Bibliography: 16 titles.  相似文献

We study the complexity of approximating the smallest eigenvalue of -Δ+q with Dirichlet boundary conditions on the d-dimensional unit cube. Here Δ is the Laplacian, and the function q is non-negative and has continuous first order partial derivatives. We consider deterministic and randomized classical algorithms, as well as quantum algorithms using quantum queries of two types: bit queries and power queries. We seek algorithms that solve the problem with accuracy . We exhibit lower and upper bounds for the problem complexity. The upper bounds follow from the cost of particular algorithms. The classical deterministic algorithm is optimal. Optimality is understood modulo constant factors that depend on d. The randomized algorithm uses an optimal number of function evaluations of q when d≤2. The classical algorithms have cost exponential in d since they need to solve an eigenvalue problem involving a matrix with size exponential in d. We show that the cost of quantum algorithms is not exponential in d, regardless of the type of queries they use. Power queries enjoy a clear advantage over bit queries and lead to an optimal complexity algorithm.  相似文献

We consider a second-order differential equation −y + q(x)y(x) = λy(x) with complex-valued potential q and eigenvalue parameter λ ∈ ℂ. In PT quantum mechanics the potential q is given by q(x) = −(ix)N+2 on a contour Γ ⊂ ℂ. Via a parametrization we obtain two differential equations on [0, ∞) and (−∞, 0]. We give a limit-point/limit-circle classification of this problem via WKB-analysis. (© 2016 Wiley-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim)  相似文献

We survey the matrix product solutions of the Yang–Baxter equation recently obtained from the tetrahedron equation. They form a family of quantum R-matrices of generalized quantum groups interpolating the symmetric tensor representations of Uq(An?1(1)) and the antisymmetric tensor representations of \({U_{ - {q^{ - 1}}}}\left( {A_{n - 1}^{\left( 1 \right)}} \right)\). We show that at q = 0, they all reduce to the Yang–Baxter maps called combinatorial R-matrices and describe the latter by an explicit algorithm.  相似文献

We present Feigin's construction [Lectures given in Landau Institute] of latticeW algebras and give some simple results: lattice Virasoro andW 3 algebras. For the simplest caseg=sl(2), we introduce the wholeU q(2)) quantum group on this lattice. We find the simplest two-dimensional module as well as the exchange relations and define the lattice Virasoro algebra as the algebra of invariants ofU q(sl(2)). Another generalization is connected with the lattice integrals of motion as the invariants of the quantum affine groupU q+). We show that Volkov's scheme leads to a system of difference equations for a function of non-commutative variables.Landau Institute for Theoretical Physics, 142432, Chernogolovka, Russia. The bispectral quantum Knizhnik–Zamolodchikov (BqKZ) equation corresponding to the affine Hecke algebra H of type A N-1 is a consistent system of q-difference equations which in some sense contains two families of Cherednik’s quantum affine Knizhnik–Zamolodchikov equations for meromorphic functions with values in principal series representations of H. In this paper, we extend this construction of BqKZ to the case where H is the affine Hecke algebra associated with an arbitrary irreducible reduced root system. We construct explicit solutions of BqKZ and describe its correspondence to a bispectral problem involving Macdonald’s q-difference operators.  相似文献

Studied is a generalization of Zagier’s q-series identity. We introduce a generating function of L-functions at non-positive integers, which is regarded as a half-differential of the Andrews-Gordon q-series. When q is a root of unity, the generating function coincides with the quantum invariant for the torus knot. 2000 Mathematics Subject Classification Primary—11F67, 57M27, 05A30, 11F23  相似文献

We make use of the “path sum” function to prove that the family of stretched operator functions characterized by the operator irrep labels p,q,…,q, 0,…, 0 satisfy a pair of general difference equations. This family of functions is a generalization of Milne's p,q,…,q, 0, functions for U(n) and Biedenharn and Louck's p,q, 0 functions for U(3). The fact that this family of stretched operator functions are polynomials follows from a detailed study of their symmetries and zeros. As a further application of our general difference equations and symmetry properties we give an explicit formula for the polynomials characterized by the operator irrep labels p, 1, 0,…, 0.  相似文献

Consider equations of the form where q is in general a complex vector and the function F depends nontrivially both on q and on qy. We show that a family S of such equations can be investigated by the inverse scattering method. If an equation (*) belongs to S, the function F depends linearly on q and algebraically on qy. We show that the family S contains a subfamily in which each equation can be obtained from the two dimensional Toda lattice equations by a Bäcklund transformation.  相似文献

In the present work, we consider the inverse problem for the impulsive Sturm–Liouville equations with eigenparameter-dependent boundary conditions on the whole interval (0,π) from interior spectral data. We prove two uniqueness theorems on the potential q(x) and boundary conditions for the interior inverse problem, and using the Weyl function technique, we show that if coefficients of the first boundary condition, that is, h1,h2, are known, then the potential function q(x) and coefficients of the second boundary condition, that is, H1,H2, are uniquely determined by information about the eigenfunctions at the midpoint of the interval and one spectrum or partial information on the eigenfunctions at some internal points and some of two spectra.  相似文献

We define a natural concept of duality for the -Hopf algebroids introduced by Etingof and Varchenko. We prove that the special case of the trigonometric SL(2) dynamical quantum group is self-dual, and may therefore be viewed as a deformation both of the function algebra F(SL(2)) and of the enveloping algebra U(sl(2)). Matrix elements of the self-duality in the Peter–Weyl basis are 6j-symbols; this leads to a new algebraic interpretation of the hexagon identity or quantum dynamical Yang–Baxter equation for quantum and classical 6j-symbols.  相似文献

We prove an assertion about the increase of a solution, weak in the sense of Trudinger, to the Dirichlet problem for m-Hessian equations with the righthand side in L q , q > n(n + 1)/(2m). We estimate the ratio between the increment of the solution along the normal and the distance to the boundary of a domain. This assertion is also proved for some class of degenerate linear elliptic equations of second order. Bibliography: 7 titles. Let n be an integer and q be a prime power. Then for any 3 ≤ nq?1, or n=2 and q odd, we construct a connected q‐regular edge‐but not vertex‐transitive graph of order 2qn+1. This graph is defined via a system of equations over the finite field of q elements. For n=2 and q=3, our graph is isomorphic to the Gray graph. © 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. By the R-matrix of orthosymplectic quantum superalgebra U q (osp(2l+1|2n)) in the vector representation, we establish the corresponding quantum Hopf superalgebra OSP q (2l + 1|2n). Furthermore, it is shown that OSP q (2l + 1|2n) is coquasitriangular.  相似文献
