The behavior of a Mode-Ⅰinterface crack in piezoelectric materials was investigated under the assumptions that the effect of the crack surface overlapping very near the crack tips was negligible. By use of the Fourier transform, the problem can be solved with the help of two pairs of dual integral equations. To solve the dual integral equations, the jumps of the displacements across the crack surfaces were expanded in a series of Jacobi polynomials. It is found that the stress and the electric displacement singularities of the present interface crack solution are the same as ones of the ordinary crack in homogenous materials. The solution of the present paper can be returned to the exact solution when the upper half plane material is the same as the lower half plane material.  相似文献

The behaviors of an interface crack between dissimilar orthotropic elastic halfplanes subjected to uniform tension was reworked by use of the Schmidt method. By use of the Fourier transform, the problem can be solved with the help of two pairs of dual integral equations, of which the unknown variables are the jumps of the displacements across the crack surfaces. Numerical examples are provided for the stress intensity factors of the cracks. Contrary to the previous solution of the interface crack, it is found that the stress singularity of the present interface crack solution is of the same nature as that for the ordinary crack in homogeneous materials. When the materials from the two half planes are the same, an exact solution can be otained.  相似文献

The dynamic behavior of two parallel symmetry cracks in magneto-electro-elastic composites under harmonic anti-plane shear waves is studied by Schmidt method. By using the Fourier transform, the problem can be solved with a pair of dual integral equations in which the unknown variable is the jumps of the displacements across the crack surfaces. To solve the dual integral equations, the jumps of the displacements across the crack surface were expanded in a series of Jacobi polynomials. The relations among the electric filed, the magnetic flux and the stress field were obtained. From the results, it can be obtained that the singular stresses in piezoelectric/piezomagnetic materials carry the same forms as those in a general elastic material for the dynamic anti-plane shear fracture problem. The shielding effect of two parallel cracks was also discussed.  相似文献

The behavior of two parallel non-symmetric cracks in piezoelectric materials subjected to the anti-plane shear loading was studied by the Schmidt method for the permeable crack electric boundary conditions. Through the Fourier transform, the present problem can be solved with two pairs of dual integral equations ip which the unknown variables are the jumps of displacements across crack surfaces. To solve the dual integral equations, the jumps of displacements across crack surfaces were directly expanded in a series of Jacobi polynomials. Finally, the relations between electric displacement intensity factors and stress intensity factors at crack tips can be obtained. Numerical examples are provided to show the effect of the distance between two cracks upon stress and electric displacement intensity factors at crack tips. Contrary to the impermeable crack surface condition solution, it is found that electric displacement intensity factors for the permeable crack surface conditions are much smaller than those for the impermeable crack surface conditions. At the same time, it can be found that the crack shielding effect is also present in the piezoelectric materials.  相似文献

The scattering problem of anti-plane shear waves in a functionally graded material strip with an off-center crack is investigated by use of Schmidt method. The crack is vertically to the edge of the strip. By using the Fourier transform, the problem can be solved with the help of a pair of dual integral equations that the unknown variable is the jump of the displacement across the crack surfaces. To solve the dual integral equations, the jump of the displacement across the crack surfaces was expanded in a series of Jacobi polynomials. Numerical examples were provided to show the effects of the parameter describing the functionally graded materials, the position of the crack and the frequency of the incident waves upon the stress intensity factors of the crack.  相似文献

The Schmidt method is adopted to investigate the fracture problem of multiple parallel symmetric and permeable finite length mode-III cracks in a functionally graded piezoelectric/piezomagnetic material plane. This problem is formulated into dual integral equations, in which the unknown variables are the displacement jumps across the crack surfaces. In order to obtain the dual integral equations, the displacement jumps across the crack surfaces are directly expanded as a series of Jacobi polynomials. The results show that the stress, the electric displacement, and the magnetic flux intensity factors of cracks depend on the crack length, the functionally graded parameter, and the distance among the multiple parallel cracks. The crack shielding effect is also obviously presented in a functionally graded piezoelectric/piezomagnetic material plane with mul- tiple parallel symmetric mode-III cracks.  相似文献

In this paper, the interactions of multiple parallel symmetric and permeable finite length cracks in a piezoelectric/piezomagnetic material plane subjected to anti-plane shear stress loading are studied by the Schmidt method. The problem is formulated through Fourier transform into dual integral equations, in which the unknown variables are the displacement jumps across the crack surfaces. To solve the dual integral equations, the displacement jumps across the crack surfaces are directly expanded as a series of Jacobi polynomials. Finally, the relation between the electric field, the magnetic flux field and the stress field near the crack tips is obtained. The results show that the stress, the electric displacement and the magnetic flux intensity factors at the crack tips depend on the length and spacing of the cracks. It is also revealed that the crack shielding effect presents in piezoelectric/piezomagnetic materials.  相似文献

In this paper the plane elasticity problem of two bonded dissimilar functionally graded strips containing an interface crack is studied. The governing equation in terms of Airy stress function is formulated and exact solutions are obtained for several special variations of material properties in Fourier transformation domain. The mixed boundary problem is reduced to a system of singular integral equations that are solved numerically.Numerical results show that fracture toughness of materials can be greatly improved by graded variation of elastic modulus and the influence of the specific form of elastic modulus on the fracture behavior of FGM is limited.  相似文献

The present paper considers the scattering of the time harmonic stress wave by a single crack and two collinear cracks in functionally graded piezoelectric material (FGPM). It is assumed that the properties of the FGPM vary continuously as an exponential function. By using the Fourier transform and defining the jumps of displacements and electric potential components across the crack surface as the unknown functions, two pairs of dual integral equations are derived. To solve the dual integral equations, the jumps of the displacement and electric potential components across the crack surface are expanded in a series of Jacobi polynomials. Numerical examples are provided to show the influences of material properties on the dynamic stress and the electric displacement intensity factors.  相似文献

The problem considered is a mode Ⅲ crack lying parallel to the interface of an exponential-type functional graded material (FGM) strip bonded to a linear-type FGM substrate with infinite thickness. By applying the Fourier integral transform, the problem was reduced as a Cauchy singular integral equation with an unknown dislocation density function. The collocation method based on Chebyshev polynomials proposed by Erdogan and Gupta was used to solve the singular integral equation numerically. With the numerical solution, the effects of the geometrical and physical parameters on the stress intensity factor (SIF) were analyzed and the following conclusions were drawn: (a) The region affected by the interface or free surface varies with the material rigidity, and higher material rigidity will lead to bigger affected region. (b) The SIF of the crack in the affected region and parallel to the micro-discontinuous interface is lower than those of the weak discontinuous cases. Reducing the weak-discontinuity of the interface will be beneficial to decrease the SIF of the interface-parallel crack in the region affected by the interface. (c) The effect of the free surface on SIF is more remarkable than that of the interface, and the latter is still more notable than that of the material rigidity. When the effects of the interface and free surface are fixed, increase of the material rigidity will enhance the value of SIF.  相似文献

By using Fourier transformation the boundary problem of periodical interfacial cracks in anisotropic elastoplastic bimaterial was transformed into a set of dual integral equations and then it was further reduced by means of definite integral transformation into a group of singular equations. Closed form of its solution was obtained and three corresponding problems of isotropic bimaterial, of a single anisotropic material and of a bimaterial of isotropy- anisotropy were treated as the specific cases. The plastic zone length of the crack tip and crack openning displacement ( COD) decline as the smaller yield limit of the two bonded materials rises, and they were also determined by crack length and the space between two neighboring cracks . In addition , COD also relates it with moduli of the materials .  相似文献

The problem of a Griffith crack in an unbounded orthotropic functionally graded material subjected to antipole shear impact was studied. The shear moduli in two directions of the functionally graded material were assumed to vary proportionately as definite gradient. By using integral transforms and dual integral equations, the local dynamic stress field was obtained. The results of dynamic stress intensity factor show that increasing shear moduli’s gradient of FGM or increasing the shear modulus in direction perpendicular to crack surface can restrain the magnitude of dynamic stress intensity factor.  相似文献

The solution of a 3-D rectangular permeable crack in a piezoelectric/piezomagnetic composite material was investigated by using the generalized Almansi’s theorem and the Schmidt method. The problem was formulated through Fourier transform into three pairs of dual integral equations,in which the unknown variables are the displacement jumps across the crack surfaces. To solve the dual integral equations, the displacement jumps across the crack surfaces were directly expanded as a series of Jacobi polynomials. Finally, the relations between the electric filed, the magnetic flux field and the stress field near the crack edges were obtained and the efects of the shape of the rectangular crack on the stress, the electric displacement and magnetic flux intensity factors in a piezoelectric/piezomagnetic composite material were analyzed.  相似文献

Dynamic fracture behavior of a Griffith crack along the interface of an adhesive bonded material under normal loading is studied. The singular integral equations are obtained by employing integral transformation and introducing dislocation density functions. By adopting Gauss-Jacobi integration formula, the problem is reduced to the solution of algebraic equations, and by collocation dots method. their solutions can be obtained Based on the parametric discussions presented in the paper, the following conclusions can be drawn: (1) Mode I dynamic stress intensity factor (DSIF) increases with increasing initial crack length and decreasing visco-elastic layer thickness, revealing distinct size effect; (2) The influence of the visco-elastic adhesive relaxation time on the DSIF should not be ignored.  相似文献

The method of complex function and the method of Green‘s function are used to investigate the problem of SH-wave scattering by radial cracks of any limited length along the radius originating at the boundary of an elliptical hole, and the solution of dynamicstress intensity factor at the crack tip was given. A Green‘s function was constructed for the problem, which is a basic solution of displacement field for an elastic half space containing a half elliptical gap impacted by anti-plane harmonic linear source force at any point of its horizontal boundary. With division of a crack technique, a series of integral equations can be established on the conditions of continuity and the solution of dynamic stress intensity factor can be obtained. The influence of an elliptical hole on the dynamic stress intensity factor at the crack tip was discussed.  相似文献

Fractional differential constitutive relationships are introduced to depict the history of dynamic stress inten- sity factors (DSIFs) for a semi-infinite crack in infinite viscoelastic material subjected to anti-plane shear impact load. The basic equations which govern the anti-plane deformation behavior are converted to a fractional wave-like equation. By utilizing Laplace and Fourier integral transforms, the fractional wave-like equation is cast into an ordinary differential equation (ODE). The unknown function in the solution of ODE is obtained by applying Fourier transform directly to the boundary conditions of fractional wave-like equation in Laplace domain instead of solving dual integral equations. Analytical solutions of DSIFs in Laplace domain are derived by Wiener-Hopf technique and the numerical solutions of DSIFs in time domain are obtained by Talbot algorithm. The effects of four parameters α, β, b1, b2 of the fractional dif- ferential constitutive model on DSIFs are discussed. The numerical results show that the present fractional differential constitutive model can well describe the behavior of DSIFs of anti-plane fracture in viscoelastic materials, and the model is also compatible with solutions of DSIFs of anti-plane fracture in elastic materials.  相似文献

This paper studies the dynamic stress intensity factor (DSIF) at the interface in an adhesive joint under shear loading. Material damage is considered. By introducing the dislocation density function and using the integral transform, the problem is reduced to algebraic equations and can be solved with the collocation dots method in the Laplace domain. Time response of DSIF is calculated with the inverse Laplace integral transform. The results show that the mode Ⅱ DSIF increases with the shear relaxation parameter, shear module and Poisson ratio, while decreases with the swell relaxation parameter. Damage shielding only occurs at the initial stage of crack propagation. The singular index of crack tip is -0.5 and independent on the material parameters, damage conditions of materials, and time. The oscillatory index is controlled by viscoelastic material parameters.  相似文献

In this paper, the dynamic behavior of a permeable crack in functionally graded piezoelectric/piezomagnetic materials is investigated. To make the analysis tractable, it is assumed that the material properties vary exponentially with the coordinate parallel to the crack. By using the Fourier transform, the problem can be solved with the help of a pair of dual integral equations in which the unknown is the jump of displacements across the crack surfaces. These equations are solved to obtain the relations between the electric filed, the magnetic flux field and the dynamic stress field near the crack tips using the Schmidt method. Numerical examples are provided to show the effect of the functionally graded parameter and the circular frequency of the incident waves upon the stress, the electric displacement and the magnetic flux intensity factors of the crack.  相似文献

The Salnt-Venant torsion problems of a composite cylinder with curvilinear cracks were investigated. By considering the bimaterial interface as a boundary of the outer bar or inner one, the problem was reduced to the solution of boundary integral equations on the crack, external boundary and interface. Using the new boundary element method, some typical torsion problems of a composite cylinder involving a straight or kinked crack were calculated. The obtained results were compared with data in the literature to show validity and applicability of the present method.  相似文献

The torsional impact response of a penny-shaped crack in a nonhomogeneous strip is considered. The shear modulus is assumed to be functionally graded such that the mathematics is tractable. Laplace and Hankel transforms were used to reduce the problem to solving a Fredholm integral equation. The crack tip stress field is obtained by considering the asymptotic behavior of Bessel function. Explicit expressions of both the dynamic stress intensity factor and the energy density factor were derived. And it is shown that, as crack driving force, they are equivalent for the present crack problem. Investigated are the effects of material nonhomogeneity and strip‘s highness on the dynamic fracture behavior.Numerical results reveal that the peak of the dynamic stress intensity factor can be suppressed by increasing the nonhomogeneity parameter of the shear modulus, and that the dynamic behavior varies little with the adjusting of the strip‘ s highness.  相似文献
