偏振模色散效应严重制约着长距离高速光纤通信的发展,偏振模色散的自适应补偿成为光通信领域研究的焦点。利用两阶段偏振模色散补偿器,采用6个自由度的粒子群优化算法(PSO),通过在线监测搜索光纤链路信号的偏振度极值作为反馈控制信息,在40Gb/s归零码高速光纤传输链路中成功实现了ms量级的偏振模色散自适应补偿。补偿前后采用庞加莱球法测量光纤链路中偏振模色散量,测量结果表明在信号中心波长1560.5nm处,差分群时延补偿前后测量值分别为21ps和1.3ps,而二阶偏振模色散补偿前后测量值分别为266ps^2和43.5ps^2。补偿后实验链路中的一阶和二阶的偏振模色散同时得到不同程度的补偿,并且系统的总的功率代价在误码率为10^-9时小于1dB。  相似文献

The cross-phase modulation (XPM) changes the state-of-polarization (SOP) of various channels and leads to amplitude modulation of the propagating waves in a WDM system. Due to the presence of polarization mode dispersion (PMD), the angles between the SOP of the channels change randomly and cause the modulation amplitude fluctuation random in the perturbed channel. We analytically derive the dynamic equation of the perturbed channel, determine the combined probability density function of the random angle between the SOP of pumps and probe channel and evaluate the effects of PMD on XPM for a 4-channel IM-DD WDM system in terms of BER at bit rate of 10 Gb/s per channel. We also simulate the impact PMD on XPM for a 4-channel WDM system in terms of eye diagram and found that eye opening penalty is 1.85 dB higher when the fiber PMD coefficient increases from 0.5 to 1.5 ps/√km.  相似文献

In this paper, simulative analysis of 40 Gb/s long haul (500-2000 km) DWDM system with ultra high capacity upto 1.28 Tb/s has been carried out for carrier-suppressed return-to-zero (CSRZ), duobinary return-to-zero (DRZ) and modified duobinary return-to-zero (MDRZ) modulation formats. The DWDM system has been analyzed for the pre, post and symmetrical dispersion compensation schemes for 16 Channels with 25 GHz channel spacing in order to find the optimum modulation format for a high bit rate optical transmission system. The effect of variation in input power and transmission distances is observed in terms of Q value and eye opening for various formats. It is found that symmetrical compensation is superior to pre and post dispersion compensation schemes. It has also been observed that the performance of DWDM system is severely limited by the four-wave mixing (FWM) effect and is determined that MDRZ format seems to be the best choice for the transmission distance beyond 1550 km despite slightly more complex transmitter and receiver configuration. Further, symmetrical compensation scheme has been investigated for 32×40 Gb/s MDRZ format for faithful transmission over 1450 km.  相似文献

提出了一种能够同时对高速光时分复用技术信号解复用与时钟提取的光电反馈环单元.在接收端,采用光电反馈环单元,信号单次通过即可同时完成160 Gb/s到10 Gb/s的解复用与时钟提取:两级电吸收调制器级联工作方式缩减了采样窗口宽度,满足了解复用小于6.25 ps超窄采样窗口的要求|而闭合环路的锁相同步工作方式,使所提取的时钟信号抖动(Jitter RMS)由2.4 ps降至450 fs.基于该结构,实验上成功实现了无误码的100 km 160 Gb/s光时分复用技术传输及传输后无误码地解复用与时钟提取,功率代价小于3 dB.  相似文献

Interchannel cross-phase-modulation-induced polarization scattering (XPMIPS) and its effect on the performance of optical polarization mode dispersion (PMD) compensation in wavelength-division-multiplexed (WDM) systems are studied. The level of XPMIPS in long-haul WDM transmission systems is theoretically quantified, and its effect on optical PMD compensation is evaluated with numerical simulations. We show that in 10-Gbit/s ultra-long-haul dense WDM systems XPMIPS could reduce the PMD compensation efficiency by 50%, whereas for 40-Gbit/s systems the effect of XPMIPS is smaller.  相似文献

Polarization dependent loss (PDL) has been recognized as a critical issue because various inline optical components may have nonnegligible PDL effect that interacts with polarization mode dispersion (PMD).We investigated the impact of PMD-PDL interaction on degree of polarization (DOP), which is the most commonly used feedback signal in PMD compensation. The simulation results of a 40-Gb/s NRZ code optical transmission system show that the maximum PMD increases from approximately 40 ps to more than 45 ps, while minimum DOP declines from approximately 0.6 to approximately 0.2. The interaction of PMD and PDL also induces residual PMD underestimation of 5-8 ps, which causes degradation of PMD compensation performance.  相似文献

In this paper, by introducing a two-stages polarization mode dispersion (PMD) compensator after a optical fiber link with a large PMD, we compensated over 270ps first-order and 2000ps2 high-order PMD in a optical fiber link with super high PMD. Our experimental results shows that, the compensators based on the two-stages of compensator can be used to PMD compensation in a 20Gb/s OTDM system with 60 km high PMD fiber. Before compensation,270ps DGD is became into max. 7ps after compensation. At simultaneity, the tunable FBG have a function of dispersion compensation.  相似文献

基于主偏振态理论,导出了光信号偏振度的解析表达式.并对40 Gb/s光传输系统中的信号偏振度受各种因素的影响进行了数值模拟,包括啁啾、脉冲形状、脉冲宽度、自发辐射噪声以及消光比等.结果表明,偏振度技术能有效地监测和控制40 Gb/s系统中小于37.5 ps的偏振模色散.而且发现就最大化偏振度技术对差分群延时的容许范围而言,脉冲的1/e强度半宽取0.45个位宽(11.25 ps)是最优的.  相似文献

通过对光栅制作过程的优化设计,解决了光纤光栅温度稳定性、纹波系数、带宽、偏振模色 散补偿等关键技术,所制作光纤光栅已经达到温度系数小于00005 nm/℃,带宽大于14 nm,纹波系数小于50 ps,色散量超过 -1000 ps/nm的先进水平. 采用琼斯矩阵本征值法较 精确地测量了光栅的偏振模色散,并对其进行了补偿,光纤光栅色散补偿器的偏振模色散由 补偿前的91406 ps改善为补偿后的01521 ps. 在此基础上,成功地建立了一个稳定可靠 、速率为40 Gb/s,传输链路为122 km G 关键词: 高速光通信系统 普通单模光纤 光纤光栅 色散补偿  相似文献

通过系统分析光纤光栅的耦合模理论 ,探索、优化光纤光栅的制作过程 ,研制了满足ITU T建议波长的优质光纤光栅。用双透镜和扫描移动平台结合相位掩膜板研制的光纤光栅分别成功实现了 4× 10Gb/s 4 0 0km和4× 10Gb/s 80 0km普通单模光纤传输系统的色散补偿 ,功率代价均小于 2dB ,且最佳功率代价为负值。同时对4× 10Gb/s 80 0km普通单模光纤传输系统的偏振模色散实施长时间的监测 ,系统偏振模色散小于 10 ps,提出了发展 10Gb/s的光通信系统更符合目前我国国情的见解。  相似文献

The effects of the compensation ratio with dispersion post-compensation on nonlinear single channel and WDM systems with 10 Gb/s per channel are numerically investigated. When the transmission signal per channel is 10 Gb/s RZ pulse and the amplifier span is 50 km, proper undercompensation can enhance the performance of the nonlinear single channel system and the nonlinear WDM system. But the enhanced distance of the nonlinear WDM system is not as obvious as that of the single channel system, because the cross-phase-modulation effect plays an important role in the nonlinear WDM system.  相似文献

为了研究光纤通信中的偏振模色散(PMD)及其对高速光通信系统的影响和补偿技术,研制了一种可编程控制的PMD模拟器,它由6组双折射晶体和磁光晶体组成,群时延差(DGD)变化范围为±(0.3~35) ps,可设为不同平均值的Maxwell统计分布随机变化,也可以设为其它要求的数学分布.实验证明,该模拟器测量值与理论符合得很好,且具有较高的重复性和稳定性,响应时间小于1 ms.这种模拟器可用于10 Gb/s和40 Gb/s光传输系统PMD问题的研究.  相似文献

Polarization mode dispersion (PMD) compensation is addressed by decomposition of a fiber's Jones matrix into amplitude and phase responses, which are then compensated for separately. Cubic and higher-order phase compensation substantially reduce the cumulative probability at a given system penalty over first-order PMD compensation, as demonstrated for a 40-Gbit/s non-return-to-zero signal and a fiber PMD with a differential group delay of 20 ps (rms). Single-stage all-pass filters provide tunable compensation that is comparable to that obtained with a variable-delay line, and multistage all-pass filters are well suited for higher-order phase compensation.  相似文献

本文建立了偏分复用系统中偏振模色散与信号偏振态变化引起信道串扰的数学模型, 分析了偏振模色散对偏分复用信道射频功率的影响, 并提出了适用于偏分复用系统的光域偏振模色散补偿与偏分解复用同时进行的方案: 用信道的射频功率作为反馈控制信号, 监测链路中偏振模色散和偏振态变化引起的信道串扰的大小, 用改进的粒子群优化算法对偏振控制器进行自适应控制, 同时完成偏振模色散补偿与偏分解复用. 在112 Gb/s偏分复用-差分正交相移键控(PDM-DQPSK)传输系统中仿真验证了该方案的有效性. 结果表明该方案可以使112 Gb/s-PDM-DQPSK传输系统完成自适应偏分解复用的同时, 在1 dB的光信噪比代价下, 使系统对偏振模色散的容忍度提高20 ps. 关键词: 偏分复用系统 信道串扰 偏振模色散 偏分解复用  相似文献

In this paper, the dispersion compensation for 4×10 Gb/s, 400 km G.652 fiber by chirped optical fiberBragg grating (FBG)is introduced.For the first time,we have measured and compensated the polarizationmode dispersion(PMD)of FBG, which in each channel is less than 1.1 ps.When the bit crror rate(BER)is 10~(-10)and the bit error is zero, the transmission power penalty of each channel is less than 2 dB, andthe best, result is negative which means that the receiver sensitivity is increased after transmission.  相似文献

对于高速光传输,直接检测的光正交频分复用系统(direct detection optical orthogonal frequency division multiplexing, DDO-OFDM)中的偏振相关损耗(polarization dependent loss, PDL)与偏振模色散相互作用,对系统传输带来较大影响。对DDO-OFDM系统中PDL与一阶PMD作用机理和数学模型进行了分析,并通过数字仿真加以验证。结果表明:在PDL与PMD联合作用下,对OFDM信号幅度及相位均产生影响,通过发送导频序列可有效实现信号均衡;由于输出偏振态随频率产生旋转,PMD效应一定程度上缓解PDL所致系统损伤,差分群时延为50 ps条件下,以10 Gb/s的速率在单模光纤传输480 km,DDO-OFDM系统Q值提高约0.8 dB。  相似文献
