Summary Vis spectrophotometry has been used to study various ligand substitution equilibria (1) and (2) involving four-coordinate copper(II) and nickel(II) his chelate complexes in methanol, propan-2-ol and toluene. MA2 + HB MAB+HA, K1 (1) MAB + HB MB2 + HA, K2 (2) The Schiff base ligands, HA and HB, which are monobasic and bidentate, represent salicylaldimine type N,O-ligands ( HSA=NR) (1) or pyrrole-2-aldimine type N,N-ligands ( HPA=NR) (2) with different branching at the - or (3-carbon of the organic group R. For both types of ligand the relative thermodynamic stability of their copper and nickel complexes is governed mainly by the steric demands of R, which determine the degree of tetrahedral distortion. The order of stability as given by = K1 K2 is: t-Bu < neo-Pent < i-Pr < i-Bu < Et < n-Pr. The K1/K2 ratio is strongly solvent dependent in the sense that the mixed ligand species MAB is stabilised in toluene relative to methanol. Such a solvent effect is not observed for . The MAB complexes could not be isolated. The vis spectrum of the mixed ligand species Ni(SA=NiPr, SA=NEt) was calculated by computer fitting of the experimental data.  相似文献

Four NiII chloro complexes were identified spectrophotometrically in aprotic media such as DMSO, DMF and propylene carbonate for the first time. An original multiwavelength numerical treatment, based on a Marquardt method, results in the determination of the individual electronic spectra of the mononuclear chloro complexes and of their stability constants, the values of which indicate the presence of rather weak complexes in DMSO and DMF, much stronger in the less solvating propylene carbonate solvent. The overall stability constants calculated for the NiII chloro complexes are: 1=52, 2=140, 3=160, 4=210 in DMSO, 1=60, 2=110, 3=900, 4=15000 in DMF, 1=1.6×109, 2=6.4×1015, 3=2.7×1021, 4= 5.1×1026 in PC.The solvent effect is discussed in terms of the quantitative results obtained from this spectrophotometric study and reveals that the stability of the complexes is an inverse function of the donor properties of the solvent. This result illustrates the general behavior of complex formation in dipolar aprotic solvents, i.e. the substitution of one solvent molecule in the inner coordination sphere by the ligand is easier if the solvation strength of the solvent is lower. The solvent effect is also described in terms of the variation of shifts of the calculated absorption maxima for the individual electronic spectra of the chloro complexes. This result is used to identify clearly at which step of coordination the octahedral configuration of the nickel ion changes to the tetrahedral configuration, by comparison with the well-known structural properties of these complexes in the solid state.  相似文献

Complexing processes leading under specific conditions to nickel(II)hexacyanoferrate(II) gelatin-immobilized matrix systems in contact with aqueous-alkaline solutions (pH12) containing dithiooxamide and formaldehyde or glyoxal, have been studied. It has been shown that template synthesis of macrocyclic co-ordination compounds, (2,8-dithio-3,7-diaza-5-oxanonandithioamide-1,9)nickel(II) and (2,7-dithio-3,6-diazaoctadien-3,5-dithioamide-1,8)nickel(II), occurs. Dithiooxamide, formaldehyde and glyoxal act as ligand synthons in this process.  相似文献

Summary The doubly bidentate ON-NO donor Schiff base, prepared from salicylaldehyde and 4,4-diaminodiphenylmethane forms complexes with 11 metal: ligand stoichiometric ratios. The cobalt(II), copper(II) and nickel(II) complexes exhibit subnormal magnetic moments. All the six complexes possess high melting points and are sparingly soluble in common organic solvents. A dinuclear octahedral structure is proposed for the cobalt(II), copper(II), nickel(II) and zinc(II) complexes and a dinuclear tetrahedral configuration is suggested for the cadmium(II) and mercury(II) complexes on the basis of analytical, conductance, magnetic susceptibility, molecular weight, i.r. and electronic spectral data.  相似文献

The reagent bis(isovalerylacetone)ethylenediimine(H2IVA2en) has been examined for HPLC separation and UV determination of cobalt, copper, iron and platinum using off-line precolumn derivatization and extraction in chloroform. The complexes of cobalt(II), cobalt(III), iron(II), iron(III) and the reagent have been subsequently separated on a Microsorb C-18 column. The complexes were eluted isocratically using ternary mixtures of methanol/water/acetonitrile. Detection was achieved by UV monitoring. Detection limits for Co(II), Co(III), Fe(II) and Fe(III) were 2.5–5.0 ng/injection, based on 0.5–1.0 g/ml with 5 l/injection. The concentration of cobalt(II) and cobalt(III) in aqueous solution have been determined. The presence of oxovanadium(IV), platinum(II), and nickel(II) did not affect the determinations. The HPLC method developed has been applied to the determination of cobalt, copper, iron and platinum in pharmaceutical preparations at the 30 g/g to 15 mg/g level and the obtained results were compared to those of atomic absorption spectrometry.  相似文献

Simple, precise, sensitive, and highly selective methods for the separate determination of iron(III) and cobalt(II) and for the simultaneous determination of both metal ions are described. Iron(III) and cobalt(II) react with thiocyanate in the presence ofN-phenylcinnamohydroxamic acid (PCHA) to form pinkish red and blue coloured complexes, respectively. Both the iron(III) and cobalt(II) complexes having stoichiometric composition of 122 (FeSCNPCHA) and 14 (CoSCN), respectively, are quantitatively extractable into ethylacetate from 0.5–1.5 M hydrochloric acid solutions. The spectra of iron(III) and cobalt(II) complexes in the visible region exhibit absorption maxima at 495 and 625 nm, respectively. The coloured systems obey Beer's law in the concentration range of 0.2–4.0g/ml of iron and 2–40g/ml of cobalt. The effects of foreign ions and of various experimental parameters were studied to establish the optimum conditions for the extraction and determination of iron and cobalt. The methods have been applied successfully to the analysis of blood, vitamin B12, and standard steels for iron and cobalt.  相似文献

The complexes of Co(II) and Ni(II) with nitroso-R-salt are studied by conductometric titration and spectrophotometric methods in buffer solutions of differentpH. The study proved the possible formation of (11), (12) and (13) complexes for Co(II) while Ni(II) forms (11) and (12) complexes (metal:ligand) only. The factors affecting complex formation are established and the formation constants of the complexes are evaluated. The ir spectra of the solid complexes with -nitroso--naphthol revealed that the ligand exhibits the nitrosophenol structure and that the reaction takes place through proton displacement from the OH-group.

Ni(II) and Co(II) complexes with deprotonated paramagnetic enaminoketones 4(3,3,3trifluorine2oxopropylidene) 2,2,5,5tetramethyl3imidazolidine1oxyl (L) and 4(3,3,3trifluorine1chlorine2oxopropylidene)2,2,5,5tetramethyl3imidazolidine1oxyl (L1) and alcohols are shown to form continuous solid solutions NixCo1-xL2(C2H5OH)2 and NixCo1-xL2 1(CH3OH)2. Single crystal Xray diffraction analysis showed that concentration variation practically does not affect the structural characteristics of the solid solutions. Distinguishing features if the magnetic behavior of NixCo1-xL2 · (C2H5OH)2 and NixCo1-xL2 1(CH3OH)2 are the antiferromagnetic interaction of the moments of the nickel and cobalt sublattices inside the polymeric layers and the antiferromagnetic nature of interlayer interaction of the magnetic moments.  相似文献

Summary Coordination compounds formed by the interaction of 2- and 4-benzylpyridines with some bivalent metal halides and pseudohalides have been prepared and characterized by molecular conductance, magnetic susceptibility, electronic and i.r. spectral measurements down to 200 cm-1 in the solid state. Tentative stereochemistries for the complexes isolated in the solid state are suggested. The ligand-field parameters 10 Dq, B, , and v2 /v, are calculated for the cobalt(II) and nickel(II) complexes and are consistent with their proposed stereochemistries.  相似文献

Proofs are given of the structures of two new glycosides of the furostan series isolated from the leaves of the plantNolina microscarpa S. Wats. (family Dracaenaceae). Nolinofuroside D is (25S)-furost-5-ene-1,3,22,26-tetraol 1-O--D-galactopyranoside 26-O--D-glucopyranoside (I), and nolinofuroside F is (25S)-furost-5-ene-1,3,22,26-tetraol 1-O--D-fucopyranoside 26-O--D-glucopyranoside 3-O--L-rhamnopyranoside (VII). The latter was characterized as its 22-O-methyl ether (VIII). Nolinofuroside E (IV) has the structure of (25S)-furost-5-ene-1,3,22,26-tetraol 26-O--glucopyranoside 1-O-[O--L-rhamnopyranosyl-(12)--D-fucopyranoside], which followed from the structure of the fermentation product (VI). The products of the fermentation of the above-named compounds were present in the plant in only trace amounts. Only one of them — nolinospiroside D (III) — has not been described previously. This monoside of the spirostan series is (25S)-spirost-5-ene-1,3-diol 1-O--D-galactopyranoside.M. V. Frunze Simferopol' State University. Summary The formation constants of mixed-ligand complexes of cobalt(II) and nickel(II) with glycine, DL--alanine and DL-valine as primary ligands and imidazole as secondary ligand have been determined potentiometrically under physiological-like conditions (T=37°C and I=0.15 M KNO3). The proton association constants of the free ligands and the stability constants for binary systems involving the amino acids and imidazole were also determined under identical conditions, and the experimental pH-titration data were analysed using the computer SUPERQUAD program. The relative stability of the ternary complex as compared to that of the corresponding binary complexes has been quantitatively expressed in terms of log K and log X values.  相似文献

Summary Cobalt(II) and nickel(II) halide complexes of the ligands 2-(2-methyl-8-quinolyl)benzoxazole (mqbo), 2-(2-methyl8quinolyl)benzimidazole (mqbi) and 2-(4-methyl-8-quinolyl)benzimidazole (mqbi) were synthesized and characterized by analytical, thermogravimetric, conductivity and magnetic data, and i.r. and electronic spectra. The ligands are bidentate N-donors yielding complexes where the coordination geometry depends on the metal ion and steric hindrance. All the cobalt complexes have formula [CoL2X2] and distorted tetrahedral geometry. Different types of nickel compounds were obtained: i) complexes of formula NiLX2 · n H2O (or EtOH) (L = mqbo or mqbi; n=0–1.5) which arepseudo-tetrahedral or five-coordinate and ii) complexes NiL2X2 · n H2O (L = mqbi, n=3 or 4) where the metal is bound to four nitrogen atoms and the overall coordination geometry is tetragonal. The structural changes occurring after removal of water or alcohol from the complexes are also reported.  相似文献

A procedure is reported for the simultaneous determination of binary mixtures of cobalt(III)-copper(II) and cobalt(III)-nickel(II) by differential kinetic methods based on complex formation reactions with 3-(1H-1,2,4-triazolyl-3-azo)-2,6-diaminotoluene. The single-point method is used in both cases. The simultaneous determination of Co-Cu and Co-Ni is possible in the concentration range from 10/1 to 1/1. The interference caused by various ions is also studied. The method has been used to determine cobalt-copper and cobalt-nickel mixtures in synthetic samples, hydrofining catalysts and low alloy steels.  相似文献

Summary Interaction of malonate anions with chloro(aryl)bis(organophosphine)nickel(II) complexes leads to the formation of stable (aryl)(malonato)(organophosphine)nickel(II) species, as shown by i.r. and1H n.m.r. data. The crystal and molecular structure of (diethylmalonato-O,O)(-naphthyl)(triphenylphosphine)nickel(II), determined by x-ray methods (space group P¯1,a=10.767(9),b=16.253(16),c=9.835(13)Å, =108.97(10)0, =106.08(10)0, =89.11(7)0,Z= 2;R= 0.070 for 3650 independent observed reflections), shows distorted square-planar O2PC coordination about the nickel with bond distances: Ni-P, 2.142(2)Å; Ni-O, 1.888(5) and 1.936(5)Å; Ni-C, 1.887(8)Å. The parameters and bonding of the triphenylphosphine-nickel and naphthyl moieties in the complex are normal, whereas considerable electron-delocalisation occurs in the planar ethylmalonate moiety. The -naphthyl ligand is oriented almost perpendicularly to the NiO2CP core-malonate plane.  相似文献
