In this paper, we introduce the concept of capability for crossed modules of Lie algebras, which is a generalization of capability in Lie algebras and groups. By using a special central ideal of a crossed module, we give a sufficient condition for the capability of a crossed module of Lie algebras. Also, we will extend the five-term exact sequence on homology of crossed modules of Lie algebras one term further and study the connection between the capability of crossed modules and this sequence. Finally, we study the relation between the capability and the center of a cover of a crossed module.  相似文献

Abstract

We study compatible actions (introduced by Brown and Loday in their work on the non-abelian tensor product of groups) in the category of Lie algebras over a fixed ring. We describe the Peiffer product via a new diagrammatic approach, which specializes to the known definitions both in the case of groups and of Lie algebras. We then use this approach to transfer a result linking compatible actions and pairs of crossed modules over a common base object L from groups to Lie algebras. Finally, we show that the Peiffer product, naturally endowed with a crossed module structure, has the universal property of the coproduct in XModL(LieR).  相似文献

Abstract

Let F be a free group, (M,?, F) a non-aspherical projective F-crossed module. We prove that the action of Coker (?) on Ker (?) is faithful. Also we show that if (M,?, F) is a residually nilpotent crossed module, then Coker (?) is a residually nilpotent group. As a corollary, we get an alternative proof of Conduche's translation of Whitehead's asphericity conjecture in terms of residual nilpotence of certain crossed modules.  相似文献

Previous work (Pradines, C. R. Acad. Sci. Paris 263 (1966) 907; Aof and Brown, Topology Appl. 47 (1992) 97) has given a setting for a holonomy Lie groupoid of a locally Lie groupoid. Here we develop analogous 2-dimensional notions starting from a locally Lie crossed module of groupoids. This involves replacing the Ehresmann notion of a local smooth coadmissible section of a groupoid by a local smooth coadmissible homotopy (or free derivation) for the crossed module case. The development also has to use corresponding notions for certain types of double groupoids. This leads to a holonomy Lie groupoid rather than double groupoid, but one which involves the 2-dimensional information.  相似文献

We show that a tilting module over the endomorphism algebra of a cluster-tilting object in a 2-Calabi–Yau triangulated category lifts to a cluster-tilting object in this 2-Calabi–Yau triangulated category. This generalizes a recent work of Smith for cluster categories.  相似文献

Let K be a Lie group and P be a K-principal bundle on a manifold M. Suppose given furthermore a central extension of K. It is a classical question whether there exists a -principal bundle on M such that . Neeb (Commun. Algebra 34:991–1041, 2006) defines in this context a crossed module of topological Lie algebras whose cohomology class is an obstruction to the existence of . In the present article, we show that is up to torsion a full obstruction for this problem, and we clarify its relation to crossed modules of Lie algebroids and Lie groupoids, and finally to gerbes.   相似文献

Abstract

In this paper, we introduce the non-abelian tensor square of precrossed modules in Lie algebras and investigate some of its properties. In particular, for an arbitrary Lie algebra L, we study the relation of the second homology of a precrossed L-module and the non-abelian exterior square. Also, we show how this non-abelian tensor product is related to the universal central extensions (with respect to the subcategory of crossed modules) of a precrossed module.  相似文献

An R-module M is called almost injective if M is a supplement submodule of every module which contains M. The module M is called F-almost injective if every factor module of M is almost injective. It is shown that a ring R is a right H-ring if and only if R is right perfect and every almost injective module is injective. Let R be a ring with identity, M a right R-module and S = End R (M). In this note, we introduce S-semicommutative, S-Baer, S-q.-Baer and S-p.q.-Baer modules. We study the relations between these classes of modules. In this paper we show that the kernel of the universal central extension of a crossed module in Lie algebras is the second invariant of this crossed module. We give necessary and sufficient conditions for a module M with a decomposition that complements maximal direct summands to be a lifting module. We apply our results to get a necessary and sufficient condition for a direct sum of modules to be a quasi-discrete (discrete) module. Cobalanced extensions of torsion-free modules by torsion modules over domains are investigated. As in the case of Abelian Groups, these sequences will split if and only if the torsion-free module is a pure submodule of a vector module. Unlike this case, even the torsion-free modules of finite rank need not be locally completely decomposable. For 1-dimensional Noetherian domains, necessary and sufficient conditions are given for that to be true.  相似文献

It is shown that the support of an irreducible weight module over the SchrSdinger-Virasoro Lie algebra with an infinite-dimensional weight space coincides with the weight lattice, and all nontrivial weight spaces of such a module are infinite-dimensional. As a by-product, it is obtained that every simple weight module over Lie algebra of this type with a nontrivial finite-dimensional weight space is a Harish-Chandra module.  相似文献

We define the notion of crossed modules for Lie 2-algebras. To a given crossed module, we associate a strict Lie 3-algebra structure on its mapping cone complex and a strict Lie 2-algebra structure on its derivations.
