2-Pentene and 2-hexene were found to undergo monomer-isomerization copolymerizations with 2-butene by Al(C2H5)3–VCl3 and Al(C2H5)3–TiCl3 catalysts in the presence of nickel dimethylglyoxime or transition metal acetylacetonates to yield copolymers consisting of the respective 1-olefin units. For comparison, the copolymerizations of 1-pentene with 1-butene and 1-hexene with 1-butene by Al(C2H5)3–VCl3 catalyst were also attempted. The compositions of the copolymers obtained from these copolymerizations were determined by using the calibration curves between the compositions of the respective homopolymer mixtures and the values of D766/D1380 in the infrared spectra. The monomer reactivity ratios for the monomer-isomerization copolymerizations of 2-butene (M1) with 2-pentene and 2-hexene, in which the concentrations of both 1-olefins calculated from the observed isomer distribution were used as those in the monomer feed mixture, and for the ordinary copolymerizations of 1-butene (M1) with 1-pentene and 1-hexene by Al(C2H5)3-VCl3 catalyst were determined as follows: 2-butene (M1)/2-pentene (M2): r1 = 0.14, r2 = 0.99; 1-butene (M1)/1-pentene (M2): r1 = 0.30, r2 = 0.74; 2-butene (M1)/2-hexene (M2): r1 = 0.11, r2 = 0.62; 1-butene (M1)/1-hexene (M2): r1 = 0.13, r2 = 0.90.  相似文献

New examples for the monomer-isomerization polymerizations of some branched internal olefins, 4-methyl-2-pentene and 4-phenyl-2-butene, are presented. When these olefins are polymerized with A1(C2 H5)3-TiCl3 ([TiCl3] = 120 mmole/liter, A1/Ti = 3.0) catalyst at 80°C, considerable amounts of high polymers [27.5%/60 hr ([η] = 0.68 d1/g) and 35.6%/100hr, respectively] were obtained. From the additional fact that the isomerization from these 2-olefins to the mixture of their positional isomers including 1-olefins was observed during the polymerization, it is assumed that the polymerizations from these 2-olefins are performed with the 1-olefins which isomerized from the starting 2-olefins.  相似文献

In order to clarify the correlation between polymerization and monomer isomerization in the monomer-isomerization polymerization of β-olefins, the effects of some transition metal compounds which have been known to catalyze olefin isomerizations on the polymerizations of butene-2 and pentene-2 with Al(C2H5)3–TiCl3 or Al(C2H5)3–VCl3 catalyst have been investigated. It was found that some transition metal compounds such as acetylacetonates of Fe(III), Co(II), and Cr(III) or nickel dimethylglyoxime remarkably accelerate these polymerizations with Al(C2H5)3–TiCl3 catalyst at 80°C. All the polymers from butene-2 were high molecular weight polybutene-1. With Al(C2H5)3–VCl3 catalyst, which polymerizes α-olefins but does not catalyze polymerization of β-olefins, no monomer-isomerization polymerizations of butene-2 and pentene-2 were observed. When Fe(III) acetylacetonate was added to this catalyst system, however, polymerization occurred. These results strongly indicate that two independent active centers for the olefin isomerization and the polymerizations of α-olefins were necessary for the monomer-isomerization polymerizations of β-olefins.  相似文献

Alternating copolymerization of butadiene with several α-olefins and of isoprene with propylene were investigated by using a mixture of VO(Acac)2, Et3Al, and Et2AlCl as catalyst. The alternating copolymerization ability of the olefins decreases in the order, propylene > 1-butene > 4-methyl-1-pentene > 3-methyl-1-butene. The study on the sequence of the copolymer of isoprene with propylene by ozonolysis reveals that the polymer chain is reasonably expressed by the sequence \documentclass{article}\pagestyle{empty}\begin{document}$ \rlap{--} [{\rm CH}_{\rm 2} \hbox{--} {\rm CH} \hbox{=\hskip-1pt=} {\rm C(CH}_{\rm 3}) \hbox{--} {\rm CH}_{\rm 2} \hbox{--} {\rm CH(CH}_{\rm 3}) \hbox{--} {\rm CH}_{\rm 2} \rlap{--}]_n $\end{document}. NMR and infrared spectra indicate that the chain is terminated with propylene unit, forming a structure of ?C(CH3)? CH2? C(CH3)?CH2 involving a vinylene group.  相似文献

The kinetics of the di- and trimerization of ethylen in organic solvents under the influence of a homogeneous catalyst containing π-tetramethylcyclobutadiene-nickeldichloride and a prereacted mixture of ethylaluminiumdichloride and tri-n-butylphosphine are reported. The primary reaction product is 1-butene, which is isomerized to 2-butene (cis/trans) during the reaction. The C6-Olefins are formed by the reaction of ethylene with 1-butene and with the 2-butenes. The following primary reaction products are obtained: 3-hexene (cis/trans), 1-hexene, 2-ethyl-1-butene, 3-methyl-1-pentene and 3-methyl-2-pentene (cis/trans). The effect of other phosphines on the reaction was also studied. The relative composition of the reaction product is strongly dependent upon the amount and the LEWIS base strength of the phosphine present. The results are in accordance with a coordinative mechanism on nickel.  相似文献

Employing low temperature thermal measurements, heat capacities (Cs) in the crystal and liquid states, and phase transition data, Tm and ΔHm, the condensed phase thermodynamic properties, (Gs -H°0)/T, Hs -H°0, Ss and Cs, in the temperature range 0–360 K were evaluated for the following eleven alkenes: ethylene, propylene, 1-butene, cis-2-butene, trans-2-butene, 1-pentene, cis-2-pentene, trans-2-pentene, 2-methyl-1-butene, 3-methyl-1-butene and 2-methyl-2-butene. The sources of experimental data, methods of evaluation, and the calculated results are described in detail.  相似文献

Relative rate constants for the reactions of hydroxyl radicals with a series of alkyl substituted olefins were measured by competitive reactions between pairs of olefins at 298 ± 2 K and 1 atmospheric pressure. Hydroxyl radicals were produced by the photolysis of H2O2 with 254-nm irradiation. The obtained rate constants were (× 10?11 cm3 molecule?1 s?1): 2.53 ± 0.06, propylene; 5.49 ± 0.17, cis-2-butene; 5.47 ± 0.1, isobutene; 6.46 ± 0.13, 2-methyl-1-butene; 6.37 ± 0.16, cis-2-pentene; 6.23 ± 0.1, 2-methyl-1-pentene; 8.76 ± 0.14, 2-methyl-2-pentene; 6.24 ± 0.08, trans-4-methyl-2-pentene; 10.3 ± 0.1, 2,3-dimethyl-2-butene; 9.94 ± 0.1, 2,3-dimethyl-2-pentene; 5.59 ± 0.07, trans-4,4-dimethyl-2-pentene. A trend in alkyl substituent effect on the rate constant was found, which is useful to predict kOH on the basis of the number of alkyl substituents on the double bond.  相似文献

2-Butene(2B) copolymerizes with 3-heptene(3H) and 4-methyl-2-pentene(4M2P) by a monomer-isomerization copolymerization mechanism in the presence of TiCl3–(C2H5)3Al catalyst at 80°C to yield the copolymers of 1-olefin units. By comparison, the copolymerization of 1-butene(1B) with 4-methyl-1-pentene(4M1P) was also carried out under similar conditions. The composition of the copolymers obtained from these copolymerizations was determined from the ratios of optical densities D723/D1380 and D1170/D1380 in their infrared (IR) spectra. The apparent monomer reactivity ratios for the monomer-isomerization copolymerization of 2B with 3H and 4M2P, in which the concentration of olefin monomer in the feed was used as 2-olefin, were determined as follows: cis-2B(M1)/3H(M2); r1 = 4.00, r2 = 0.20: trans-2B(M1)/3H; r1 = 3.50, r2 = 0.20; 4M2P(M1)-trans-2B(M2): r1 = 0.05, r2 = 9.0. These results indicate that the isomerization of 2-olefins to 1-olefins was important to monomer-isomerization copolymerization.  相似文献

The polymerizations of 4-methyl-1-pentene(4M1P), 4-methyl-2-pentene (4M2P), 2-methyl-2-pentene (2M2P), and 2-methyl-1-pentene (2M1P) with Ziegler-Natta catalyst have been investigated. Both 4M1P and 4M2P were found to polymerize with TiCl3–(C2H5)Al catalyst to give high molecular weight poly(4M1P), while 2M2P and 2M1P did not give polymers with 4M1P units. However, when the polymerizations of 2M1P and 2M2P were carried out with ternary catalyst systems, TiCl3–(C2H5)AlCl–(PPh3)2PdCl2 and TiCl3–(C2H5)AlCl–Ni(SCN)2 polymers with 4M1P units were obtained in low yield. It was concluded that these four methylpentenes could polymerize with the monomer-isomerization polymerization mechanism to poly(4M1P). The results of the observed isomer distribution of methylpentenes recovered, and the rate of polymerization of four methylpentenes suggest that the isomerization from 2M1P to 4M1P with the above ternary catalyst systems might proceed via a direct one-step isomerization mechanism.  相似文献

The mechanism of stereoselectivity of propylene insertion in propylene-ethylene copolymerization on a CS symmetrical zirconium complex i-Pr(Cp) (Flu) ZrCl2 catalyst is discussed. Calculation results indicate that not only the β-carbon in the growing chain end of the polymer but also the substituent of the β-carbon play an important role in the selectivity of the prochiral face of the next-coming propylene monomer. The stereoregularity of propylene units connected to an ethylene unit (PPE) in propylene-ethylene copolymer was observed to be lower than that in propylene sequences (PPP) in the 13C NMR spectrum, which supports the calculation results. Furthermore, the structure and properties of propylene-olefin (ethylene, 1-butene, 1-pentene, 1-hexene, and 4-methyl-1-pentene) copolymers prepared with the i-Pr(Cp) (Flu) ZrCl2 catalyst system were studied. Propylene-1-butene copolymer exhibits peculiarly lower melting point depression because 1-butene units enter into the unit cell of the crystal structure of syndiotactic polypropylene.  相似文献

The gas-phase reaction of ozone with C5? C10 alkenes(eight 1-alkenes, four 1,1-disubstituted alkenes, and cyclohexene) has been investigated at atmospheric pressure and ambient temperature (285–293 K). Cyclohexane was added to scavenge the hydroxyl radical, which forms as a product of the ozone-alkene reaction. The reaction rate constants, in units of 10?18 cm3 molecule?1 s?1, are 9.6±1.6 for 1-pentene, 9.7±1.4 for 1-hexene, 9.4±0.4 for 1-heptene, 12.5±0.4 for 1-octene, 8.0±1.4 for 1-decene, 3.8±0.6 for 3-methyl-1-pentene, 7.3±0.7 for 4-methyl-1-pentene, 3.9±0.9 for 3,3-dimethyl-1-butene, 13.3±1.4 for 2-methyl-1-butene, 12.5±1.1 for 2-methyl-1-pentene, 10.0±0.3 for 2,3-dimethyl-1-butene, 13.7±0.9 for 2-ethyl-1-butene, and 84.6±1.0 for cyclohexene. Substituent effects on alkene reactivity are examined. Steric effect appear to be important for all 1,1-disubstituted alkenes as well as for those 1-alkenes that bear s-butyl and t-butyl groups. The results are briefly discussed with respect to the atomospheric persistence of the alkenes studied. © 1995 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献

The copolymerization of 3-methyl-1-butene (3M1B), 2-methyl-2-butene (2M2B), or 2-methyl-1-butene (2M1B) with trans-2-butene (2B) was attempted in the presence of a Ziegler-Natta catalyst. It was found the 3M1B underwent monomer-isomerization copolymerization with 2B to give a copolymer consisting of both 3M1B and 1-butene (1B) units, with an infrared (IR) spectrum in good agreement with that obtained from the copolymerization of 3M1B with 1B under similar conditions. When the apparent copolymerization parameters obtained by a TiCl3–(C2H5)3Al catalyst were compared, the apparent reactivity of 3M1B observed in the 3M1B-2B system was much higher than that in the 3M1B-1B system. However, 2M2B and 2M1B did not undergo monomer-isomerization copolymerization with 2B, and only the homopolymer of 1B was obtained under similar conditions.  相似文献

The copolymerization of propylene with 1-butene and 1-pentene at 60°C in the propylene bulk in the presence of the homogeneous isospecific metallocene catalyst of the C2 symmetry rac-Me2Si(4-Ph-2-MeInd)2ZrCl2 activated by polymethylaluminoxane is studied. Copolymers containing up to 30 mol % 1-butene and up to 10 mol % 1-pentene are synthesized. For the copolymerization of the above monomers, reactivity ratios are estimated to be equal to unity, thereby indicating the azeotropic character of the process. It is found that the distribution of comonomer units in the copolymers is close to statistical. For both comonomers, the comonomer effect is observed: an increase in the rate of propylene polymerization after addition of a small amount of a less reactive comonomer. The addition of 1-butene and 1-pentene to polypropylene shows a weak effect on the stereoregularity of chains but causes a marked reduction in the molecular mass of the polymer and changes its thermophysical characteristics and mechanical properties. An X-ray diffraction study of the copolymers is performed.  相似文献

3-Methyl-1-butene (3M1B) was found to undergo monomer-isomerization copolymerization with 2-pentene (2P) in the presence of Ziegler–Natta catalyst to give a copolymer exclusively consisting of 3M1B and 1-pentene (1P) units, the same as that obtained from copolymerization of 3M1B and 1P. The apparent copolymerization parameters were determined. The amount of 3M1B unit incorporated in the copolymers was found to increase in the copolymerization system of 3M1B-2P more than in that of 3M1B-1P. The polymers consisting of nearly complete 3M1B units were produced at a rapid rate through monomer-isomerization copolymerization of 3M1B with 2P in the presence of TiCl3 ? (C2H5)3Al catalyst.  相似文献

The polymerization of isobutyl vinyl ether by vanadium trichloride in n-heptane was studied. VCl3 ? LiCl was prepared by the reduction of VCl4 with stoichiometric amounts of BuLi. This type of catalyst induces stereospecific polymerization of isobutyl vinyl ether without the action of trialkyl aluminum to an isotactic polymer when a rise in temperature during the polymerization was depressed by cooling. It is suggested that the cause of the stereospecific polymerization might be due to the catalyst structure in which LiCl coexists with VCl3, namely, VCl3 ? LiCl or VCl2 ? 2LiCl as a solid solution in the crystalline lattice, since VCl3 prepared by thermal decomposition of VCl4 and a commercial VCl3 did not produce the crystalline polymer and soluble catalysts such as VCl4 in heptane and VCl3 ? LiCl in ether solution did not yield the stereospecific polymer. It was found that some additives, such as tetrahydrofuran or ethylene glycol diphenyl ether, to the catalyst increased the stereospecific polymerization activity of the catalysts. Influence of the polymerization conditions such as temperature, time, monomer and catalyst concentrations, and the kind of solvent on the formed polymer was also examined.  相似文献

The polymerization of isobutyl vinyl ether by the VCln–AIR3 system was carefully studied. The vanadium components were prepared by the reaction between VCl4 and AlEt3 or n-BuLi as a reducing agent. VCl3·LiCl and VCl2·2LiCl are the effective catalysts for the stereospecific polymerization of isobutyl vinyl ether. When VCl3·LiCl is combined with AlR3, a new catalytic system is formed. The effect of the preparative conditions of the various vanadium component in the AlR3–VCln system shows that the effective vanadium component is trivalent. In the polymerization by VCl3·LiCl–Al (i-Bu)3 system, a change of the polymerization mechanism may occur at Al(i-Bu)3/VCl3·LiCl ratio at around 5. When the ratio is lower than 5, a cationic polymerization by VCl3·LiCl takes place predominantly, while at ratios higher than 5, it is suggested that the polymerization proceeds by means of a VCl3·LiClA–Al(i-Bu)3 complex by a coordinated anionic mechanism. The polymers obtained by these catalysts are highly crystalline. Styrene was also polymerized by using the same catalysts. VCl3·LiCl and VCl3·LiCl–THF complex yielded amorphous polymer by cationic polymerization. When VCl3·LiCl was combined with 6 mole-eq of Al(i-Bu)3, the resulting polystyrene was highly crystalline and had an isotactic structure, while the VCl2·2LiCl–Al(i-Bu)3 (1:6) system yielded traces of polymer of extremely low stereoregularity. The results indicate that the effective vanadium component at Al/V ≧ 6 is trivalent and that the mechanism is a coordinated anionic one.  相似文献

Polymerization of styrene has been carried out with VCl4–AlEt3 and VCl4–Al(i-Bu)3 catalyst systems. These two systems have been found to behave in a similar manner but their behavior is different from those systems where VOCl3 has been used instead of VCl4. Reaction is first order with respect to monomer concentration for both the systems and first order with respect to catalyst in the case of VCl4–AlEt3. In the case of VCl4–Al(i-Bu)3, the rate of polymerization is independent of catalyst concentration but intrinsic viscosities increase with increasing catalyst concentration. The average valence of vanadium in the catalyst complexes has been discussed in relation to nature of catalyst sites. Activation energy and effect of diethyl zinc support the anionic mechanism for the two systems.  相似文献

The polymerization of 4-vinyl-1-cyclohexene (4VCHE) with Ziegler–Natta catalysts was studied. The polymerization of 4VCHE by the vinyl group took place with TiCl3–aluminum alkyls catalysts, while vinylene group of 4VCHE did not participate in the reaction, but it affected the polymerization rate of 4VCHE. The effects of aluminum alkyl and type of TiCl3 on the polymerization were examined. The overall activation energy for the polymerization was estimated to be 41.9kJ/mol. Monomer-isomerization copolymerization of 4VCHE and trans-2-butene occurred with the TiCl3-(i-C4H9)3Al catalyst to give copolymers consisting of 4VCHE and 1-butene units.  相似文献
