The internal bremsstrahlung (IB) spectrum accompanying the electron capture decay of 57Co have been measured. The measured spectrum was then analyzed into its constituting gamma lines. The proper corrections for the analyzed IB (EC) spectrum have been taken into account. A comparison between the present experimental results of the IB (EC) probability per electron capture and those calculated theoretically according to Martin and Glauber theory have been done. This comparison shows a good agreement throught the investigated range of energy (300 up to 650 keV).  相似文献

Internal bremsstrahlung (IB) emitted in the non-unique first-forbidden electron capture decay of the 72? ground state of 145Sm to the 72+ 61 keV first excited level of 145Pm has been studied. The total IB spectrum and the IB spectrum for captures proceeding via the 1s shell were measured for photons in the energy range of 100–580 keV and the spectra were normalized to the non-radiative capture rate. The experimental data agree with theoretical predictions.  相似文献

The internal bremsstrahlung (IB) spectrum of143Pr is measured in the energy region from 40 to 830 keV by using a multichannel NaI(Tl) scintillation spectrometer and a standard geometrical set up and corrections are applied for various factors. The measured intensity of IB in the investigated energy region is compared with the corresponding theoretical values of Ford and Martin (direct and detour). The present experimental values of IB are coinciding with the direct theory from 40 to 130 keV while from 130 to 500 keV, they are agreeing fairly well with the detour theory. Above 500 keV, the results are deviating positively even from the detour theory.  相似文献

A new precise measurement has been carried out for the internal bremsstrahlung from 35S, together with control measurements to clear up the probable reason of deviations from the theory in earlier studies. It is found that there is good agreement between the most precise theories and experiment for the IB spectrum of 35S under proper experimental conditions.  相似文献

Several measurements of decay energy using the inner Bremsstrahlung spectrum (IB) due to radiative electron capture in 55Fe has been made. But the results are not uniform. Hence another attempt has been made at the same. Experimental data was obtained with a 4.445 cm. dia × 5.08 cm thick Nal (Tl) detector. It was subjected to suitable statistical treatment and various corrections using Liden and Starfelt procedure. The corrected spectrum agrees well with the Glauber and Martin theory for 1s electron capture beyond 100 keV. From the Jauch plot, the decay energy of 232.36±0.64 keV was obtained.  相似文献

The Internal Bremsstrahlung emitted in theβ-decay of Y90 was investigated. The spectral yield was measured. Also the angular correlation between electron and IB and the dependence of the IB on electron energy. The internal bremsstrahlung spectrum accompanying the non-unique second-forbidden β-decay of 36Cl is measured using the magnetic deflection technique. The true IB spectrum is obtained with the help of the inverse of the detector response matrix. The experimental data in the energy interval 80 to 700 keV are compared with the theoretical spectra of Knipp and Uhlenbeck, and Bloch, Lewis and Ford, and Chang and Falkoff. The agreement between the measurement and theory is not good throughout the energy region of the present investigation, though the experimental points are close to the second-forbidden scalar theory of Chang and Falkoff.  相似文献

Theoretical investigations of InGaN tandem solar cells with intermediate bands (IBs) have been conducted through calculating the diode equation taking into account the radiative and nonradiative recombination currents. The calculated maximum ef?ciencies of the double‐junction cell with one IB in each subcell are 57.85% and 68.37% under AM1.5G one‐sun and 46000‐sun illuminations, respectively. It has also been observed that the combined device with the top‐cell bandgaps of 2.9–3.4 eV (2.6–3.4 eV for full concentration) may have an opportunity to realize the application of over 50% efficiency. We suggest that the optimized width of the IB layer be designed in the range of 1–6 μm if its absorption coefficient is 104–105 cm–1 in the IB region.  相似文献

The intermediate band (IB) solar cell is a promising third-generation solar cell that could possibly achieve very high efficiency above the Shockley-Queisser limit. One of the promising ways to synthesize IB material is to introduce heavily doped deep level impurities in conventional semiconductors. High-doped Ti with a concentration of 1020 cm-3-1021 cm-3 in the p-type top Si layer of silicon-on-insulator (SOI) substrate is obtained by ion implantation and rapid thermal annealing (RTA). Secondary ion mass spectrometry measurements confirm that the Ti concentration exceeds the theoretical Mott limit, the main requirement for the formation of an impurity intermediate band. Increased absorption is observed in the infrared (IR) region by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) technology. By using a lateral p-i-n structure, an obvious infrared response in a range of 1100 nm-2000 nm is achieved in a heavily Ti-doped SOI substrate, suggesting that the improvement on IR photoresponse is a result of increased absorption in the IR. The experimental results indicate that heavily Ti-implanted Si can be used as a potential kind of intermediate-band photovoltaic material to utilize the infrared photons of the solar spectrum.  相似文献

The circular polarization of the Internal Bremsstrahlung (IB) of90Y was measured with a Compton polarimeter according to Beard and Rose. The results are compatible with the theoretical predictions of Ford and Martin [8], who include “detour transitions” in their calculations of the circular polarization. Measurements ofΒ-γ-correlations of the IB of90Y are discussed, which suggest the consideration of detour transitions too.  相似文献

An efficient method of deconvolution of the internal bremsstrahlung (IB) spectra accompanying the β‐decay in 32P, 85Kr and 143Pr is presented. Experimental data is taken from the literature. The usual experimental values are folded with the response matrix of the detector system, and the Gold iteration technique is employed to deconvolve the detector response function for the continuous IB photon spectra. The response function of the detector is calculated using the peak to total ratio and the energy resolution of the detector. The Internal Bremsstrahlung (IB) spectra emitted in the beta decays of14C and36Cl are measured with a HPGe detector and a multichannel analyser along with a standard geometrical set up. The experimental results are compared with the corresponding theoretical distributions due to Knipp and Uhlenbeck and Bloch (KUB), Lewis and Ford, Nilsson and also due to Chang and Falkoff. The total IB yields of intensity and of energy from each of the isotopes in the investigated energy regions are also determined and compared with the corresponding theoretical values. The present results of IB from14C are found to be in excess over all the corresponding theoretical distributions throughout the investigated photon energy region from 60 keV to 130 keV. It may also be pointed out that the IB from this isotope has not been studied earlier and as such the results in this case are considered new and important. In the case of36Cl the experimental results are found to be above KUB theory but corresponding closely to the theory of Chang and Falkoff, except below 150 keV where there is experimental excess over theory.  相似文献

The Mössbauer effect has been used to measure the magnetic hyperfine interaction of isolated 57Fe atoms in solid xenon with an applied external magnetic field. A field dependent Mössbauer absorption spectrum is observed. The ground state of these iron atoms is a triplet, which is split in the external field. The Mössbauer spectrum was analyzed taking into consideration relaxation effects. For an applied external field of 28 kOe an internal magnetic field at the 57Fe nucleus of 700± 15 kOe was observed (external field included).  相似文献

The laser-induced fluorescence spectrum of KH vapor, excited by the 4881-Å argon ion laser line, was obtained and analyzed. The transition was found to involve the A1Σ+ and X1Σ+ states. Vibrational and rotational energy transfer is detected. The spectrum presents a clear differentiation of bandheads. The molecular constants obtained are in good agreement with the previously reported data.  相似文献

The infrared absorption spectrum of the ν5 and ν6 fundamentals of HN3 has been measured with a resolution of 0.03 cm−1. The spectrum has been analyzed taking into account the first- and second-order a-type Coriolis resonance between the two vibrations. Constraining the value for the ζ constant and the ground state parameters the analysis yields values for the rotational constants for both bands.  相似文献

The F-coloring efficiencies of NaCl:Pb++ and NaCl:Sr++ have been measured during stage I as a function of lead and strontium precipitation into the metastable and stable phases, the optical absorption spectrum of the doped crystals was analyzed after each annealing treatment. On the other hand, strontium precipitation was monitored using Eu++ as an optical probe taking advantage of the fact that this ion can be incorporated into the Sr-precipitates producing emission bands characteristic of each type of precipitate in which it is embedded. The results indicate that the metastable and stable second phase precipitates of these ions contribute in a quite different manner to the coloring processes.  相似文献

The high-resolution infrared spectrum of 13C-diazirine was recorded using a high-information Fourier transform spectrometer with a resolution of 0.0054 cm?1. The rovibrational structure of the ν3 fundamental at 1458.1884 cm?1, which is an A-type parallel band (13CH2 deformation) was assigned and analyzed with extensive use of modern methods of spectrum simulation. The rovibrational assignment and the molecular constants determined for the excited vibrational level of this band are given.  相似文献

Internal bremsstrahlung (IB) and double internal bremsstrahlung (DIB) have been studied for initial p-state electron capture. In the case of IB the relative contributions of discrete and continuum intermediate states have been calculated and, in contrast to IB in initial Is state capture, it has been found that the contributions from the discrete intermediate states are dominant. Calculations for DIB have been extended and some approximations used in earlier calculations are shown to be reasonable. Predictions are made for DIB in the EC decay of SU55 Fe and 131Cs, nuclei which may be suitable for experimental investigations.  相似文献

In this article, 1.3 μm Ga0.27In0.63As0.67P0.33/Ga0.11In0.89As0.24P0.76 compressive-strain multiple-quantum-wells (CS-MQWs) with Ga0.09In0.91P intermediate barrier (IB) laser diodes (LDs) have been grown by low-pressure metalorganic chemical vapor deposition (LP-MOCVD). The photoluminescence (PL) measurement indicates that the CS-MQWs with 20 Å Ga0.09In0.91P IB have the narrowest full width at half maximum (FWHM) of 43.9 meV. The 55-μm-width metal contact and 900-μm cavity length as-cleaved broad-area LDs with the Ga0.09In0.91P IB have the better performance than those of LDs without Ga0.09In0.91P IB, including a threshold current density of 0.86 kA/cm2, a differential quantum efficiency of 25.6%, an internal quantum efficiency of 50%, and an internal optical loss of 25 cm−1. Finally, the GaInAsP/GaInAsP CS-MQWs with the Ga0.09In0.91P IB LDs were processed as 4-μm-width ridge and an as-cleaved 600-μm-cavity length. It exhibits a threshold current of 38.5 mA, a slope efficiency of 0.16 W/A, a characteristic temperature of 80.5 K, a maximum operating temperature up to 80 °C without power saturation, and a red-shift rate of 0.38 nm/°C, and a relaxation frequency response of 5.8 GHz. The 3-dB bandwidth for the LDs with GaInP IB is as high as 9 GHz without considering the damping factor and coupling loss.  相似文献
