We construct a Diophantine interpretation of over . Using this together with a previous result that every recursively enumerable (r.e.) relation over is Diophantine over , we will prove that every r.e. relation over is Diophantine over . We will also look at recursive infinite base fields , algebraic over . It turns out that the Diophantine relations over are exactly the relations which are r.e. for every recursive presentation.  相似文献

In the study of the asymptotic behaviour of solutions of differential-difference equations the -spectrum has been useful, where and implies Fourier transform , with given , φL (ℝ,X), X a Banach space, (half)line. Here we study and related concepts, give relations between them, especially weak Laplace half-line spectrum of φ, and thus ⊂ classical Beurling spectrum = Carleman spectrum =  ; also  = Beurling spectrum of “φ modulo ” (Chill-Fasangova). If satisfies a Loomis type condition (L U ), then countable and uniformly continuous ∈U are shown to imply ; here (L U ) usually means , indefinite integral Pf of f in U imply Pf in (the Bohl-Bohr theorem for = almost periodic functions, U=bounded functions). This spectral characterization and other results are extended to unbounded functions via mean classes , ℳ m U ((2.1) below) and even to distributions, generalizing various recent results for uniformly continuous bounded φ. Furthermore for solutions of convolution systems S*φ=b with in some we show . With these above results, one gets generalizations of earlier results on the asymptotic behaviour of solutions of neutral integro-differential-difference systems. By sampling the window of a Gabor frame for belonging to Feichtinger’s algebra, , one obtains a Gabor frame for . In this article we present a survey of results by R. Orr and A.J.E.M. Janssen and extend their ideas to cover interrelations among Gabor frames for the four spaces , , and . Some new results about general dual windows with respect to sampling and periodization are presented as well. This theory is used to show a new result of the Kaiblinger type to construct an approximation to the canonical dual window of a Gabor frame for .   相似文献

We investigate a problem of approximate non-linear sampling recovery of functions on the interval expressing the adaptive choice of n sampled values of a function to be recovered, and of n terms from a given family of functions Φ. More precisely, for each function f on , we choose a sequence of n points in , a sequence of n functions defined on and a sequence of n functions from a given family Φ. We introduce a concept of cyclotomic association scheme over a finite near-field . It is proved that any isomorphism of two such nontrivial schemes is induced by a suitable element of the group AGL(V), where V is the linear space associated with . A sufficient condition on a cyclotomic scheme that guarantee the inclusion where is a finite field with elements, is given. I. Two integrals (3.6), (4.7) for the period of a periodic solution of the Lotka–Volterra system are presented in terms of two inverse functions of restricted on , , respectively. In computing this period numerically, the integral (3.6), which possesses a weak singularity of the square root type at each endpoint of the integration, is an excellent example of using the Gauss–Chebyshev integration rule of the first kind; while the integral (4.7), which is an integral of a smooth periodic function over its period , is an excellent example of using the midpoint rule, but not the trapezoidal rule, suggested by Waldvogel [39, 40], due to a removable singularity of the integrand at , , , , and , respectively. This paper shows, in computing the period of a periodic solution of the Lotka–Volterra system, the -point Gauss–Chebyshev integration rule of the first kind applied to the integral (3.6) becomes the -point midpoint rule to the integral (4.7). In 2000, Reimer proved that a positive weight quadrature rule on the unit sphere has the property of quadrature regularity. Hesse and Sloan used a related property, called Property (R) in their work on estimates of quadrature error on . The constants related to Property (R) for a sequence of positive weight quadrature rules on can be estimated by using a variation on Reimer’s bounds on the sum of the quadrature weight within a spherical cap, with Jacobi polynomials of the form , in combination with the Sturm comparison theorem. A recent conjecture on monotonicities of Jacobi polynomials would, if true, provide improved estimates for these constants. The work was carried out while the author was a PhD student at the School of Mathematics, University of New South Wales.  相似文献

We present variants of the block-GMRES() algorithms due to Vital and the block-LGMRES(,) by Baker, Dennis and Jessup, obtained with replacing the standard QR factorization by a rank-revealing QR factorization in the Arnoldi process. The resulting algorithm allows for dynamic block deflation whenever there is a linear dependency between the Krylov vectors or the convergence of a right-hand-side occurs. implementations of the algorithms were tested on a number of test matrices and the results show that in some cases a substantial reduction of the execution time is obtained. Also a parallel implementation of our variant of the block-GMRES() algorithm, using and was tested on parallel computer, showing good parallel efficiency. We assume in this paper that the associated random radius R k =(S 1 + S 2 +...+S k )1/2 is almost surely positive, and it has distribution function in the Gumbel max-domain of attraction. Relying on extreme value theory we obtain an exact asymptotic expansion of the tail probability for converging as to a boundary point. Further we discuss density convergence under a suitable transformation. We apply our results to obtain an asymptotic approximation of the distribution of partial excess above a high threshold, and to derive a conditional limiting result. Further, we investigate the asymptotic behaviour of concomitants of order statistics, and the tail asymptotics of associated random radius for subvectors of .   相似文献

We treat the problem of linearizability of a system of second order ordinary differential equations. The criterion we provide has applications to nonlinear Newtonian mechanics, especially in three-dimensional space. Let or , let , let , let and let
be a collection of m analytic second order ordinary differential equations, in general nonlinear. We obtain a new and applicable necessary and sufficient condition in order that this system is equivalent, under a point transformation

Let be a field and q be a nonzero element of that is not a root of unity. We give a criterion for 〈0〉 to be a primitive ideal of the algebra of quantum matrices. Next, we describe all height one primes of ; these two problems are actually interlinked since it turns out that 〈0〉 is a primitive ideal of whenever has only finitely many height one primes. Finally, we compute the automorphism group of in the case where m ≠ n. In order to do this, we first study the action of this group on the prime spectrum of . Then, by using the preferred basis of and PBW bases, we prove that the automorphism group of is isomorphic to the torus when m ≠ n and (m,n) ≠ (1, 3),(3, 1). Deep matrix algebras based on a set over a ring are introduced and studied by McCrimmon when has infinite cardinality. Here, we construct a new -module that is faithful for of any cardinality. For a field of arbitrary characteristic and , is studied in depth. The algebra is shown to possess a unique proper non-zero ideal, isomorphic to . This leads to a new and interesting simple algebra, , the quotient of by its unique ideal. Both and the quotient algebra are shown to have centers isomorphic to . In a topological construct endowed with a proper -factorization system and a concrete functor , we study -compactness and -Hausdorff separation, where is a class of “closed morphisms” in the sense of Clementino et al. (A functional approach to general topology. In: Categorical Foundations. Encyclopedia of Mathematics and Its Applications, vol. 97, pp. 103–163. Cambridge University Press, Cambridge, 2004), determined by Λ. In particular, we point out under which conditions on Λ, the notion of -compactness of an object of coincides with 0-compactness of the image in Prap. Our results will be illustrated by some examples: except for some well-known ones, like b-compactness of a topological space, we also capture some compactness notions that were not considered before in the literature. In particular, we obtain a generalization of b-compactness to the setting of approach spaces. This notion is shown to play an important role in the study of uniformizability. Elementary symmetric polynomials can be thought of as derivative polynomials of . Their associated hyperbolicity cones give a natural sequence of relaxations for . We establish a recursive structure for these cones, namely, that the coordinate projections of these cones are themselves hyperbolicity cones associated with elementary symmetric polynomials. As a consequence of this recursion, we give an alternative characterization of these cones, and give an algebraic characterization for one particular dual cone associated with together with its self-concordant barrier functional.  相似文献

We consider a diffusion process X in a random potential of the form , where is a positive drift and is a strictly stable process of index with positive jumps. Then the diffusion is transient and converges in law towards an exponential distribution. Bent functions have many applications in the fields of coding theory, communications and cryptography. This paper studies the constructions of bent functions having the form for odd n and for even n, over the finite field of odd characteristic p, where . Based on the irreducibility of some polynomials on , we focus on characterizing the bent functions for n=p v q r and n=2p v q r , where is an odd prime and p a primitive root modulo q 2.
