Intrinsic inequalities involving Turán-type inequalities for some q-special functions are established. A special interest is granted to q-Dunkl kernel. The results presented here would provide extensions of those given in the classical case.  相似文献

Two known two-dimensional algorithms, obtained by modifying the classical arithmetic-harmonic mean, are reconsidered. Some rapidly convergent sequences associated with the algorithms are established and applied to the evaluation of q-analogous functions. Computation of q-gamma function, q-beta function, and q-exponential function is shown to be effective.  相似文献

In this paper we study some limit relations involving some q-special functions related with the A1 (root system) tableau of Dunkl-Cherednik operators. Concretely we consider the limits involving the nonsymmetric q-ultraspherical polynomials (q-Rogers polynomials), ultraspherical polynomials (Gegenbauer polynomials), q-Hermite and Hermite polynomials.  相似文献

We explore a number of functional properties of the q-gamma function and a class of its quotients; including the q-beta function. We obtain formulas for all higher logarithmic derivatives of these quotients and give precise conditions on their sign. We prove how these and other functional properties, such as the multiplication formula or asymptotic expansion, together with the fundamental functional equation of the q-gamma function uniquely define those functions. We also study reciprocal “relatives” of the fundamental q-gamma functional equation, and prove uniqueness of solution results for them. In addition, we also use a reflection formula of Askey to derive expressions relating the classical sine function and the number π to the q-gamma function. Throughout we highlight the similarities and differences between the cases 0 < q < 1 and q > 1.  相似文献

Inequalities and convexity properties known for the gamma function are extended to theq-gamma function, 0<q<1. Applying some classical inequalities for convex functions, we deduce monotonicity results for several functions involving theq-gamma function. Further applications to the probability theory are given.  相似文献

In this work we present a derivation for the complete asymptotic expansions of Euler?s q-exponential function and Jackson?s q-gamma function via Mellin transform. These formulas are valid everywhere, uniformly on any compact subset of the complex plane.  相似文献

Two q-difference equations with solutions expressed by q-exponential operator identities are investigated. As applications, two extensions of Ramanujan?s formulas for q-beta integral are given, two generalizations of Andrews–Askey integral are obtained. In addition, generating functions for generalized Al-Salam–Carlitz polynomials are deduced. At last, a generalized transformation identity is gained.  相似文献

We derive a duality formula for two-row Macdonald functions by studying their relation with basic hypergeometric functions. We introduce two parameter vertex operators to construct a family of symmetric functions generalizing Hall-Littlewood functions. Their relation with Macdonald functions is governed by a very well-poised q-hypergeometric functions of type 43, for which we obtain linear transformation formulas in terms of the Jacobi theta function and the q-Gamma function. The transformation formulas are then used to give the duality formula and a new formula for two-row Macdonald functions in terms of the vertex operators. The Jack polynomials are also treated accordingly.  相似文献

In his last letter to Hardy, Ramanujan defined 17 functions f(q), (|q|<1), which he called mock theta functions. Each f(q) has infinitely many exponential singularities at roots of unity, and under radial approach to every such singularity, f(q) has an asymptotic approximation consisting of a finite number of terms with closed exponential factors, plus an error term O(1). We give an example of a q-series in Eulerian form having an approximation with an unclosed exponential factor. Complete asymptotic expansions as q→1 of some shifted q-factorials are given in terms of polylogarithms and Bernoulli polynomials. A unified theory of quantum symmetric pairs is applied to q-special functions. Previous work characterized certain left coideal subalgebras in the quantized enveloping algebra and established an appropriate framework for quantum zonal spherical functions. Here a distinguished family of such functions, invariant under the Weyl group associated to the restricted roots, is shown to be a family of Macdonald polynomials, as conjectured by Koornwinder and Macdonald. Our results place earlier work for Lie algebras of classical type in a general context and extend to the exceptional cases.  相似文献

We provide combinatorial as well as probabilistic interpretations for the q-analogue of the Pochhammer k-symbol introduced by Díaz and Teruel. We introduce q-analogues of the Mellin transform in order to study the q-analogue of the k-gamma distribution.  相似文献

In this paper, we define two homogenous q-Laguerre polynomials, by introducing a modified q-differential operator, we prove that an analytic function can be expanded in terms of the q-Laguerre polynomials if and only if the function satisfies certain q-partial differential equations. Using this main result, we derive the generating functions, bilinear generating functions and mixed generating functions for the q-Laguerre polynomials and generalized q-Hahn polynomials. Cigler’s polynomials and its generating functions discussed in [J. Cao, D.-W. Niu, A note on q -difference equations for Cigler’s polynomials, J. Difference Equ. Appl. 22 (2016), 1880–1892.] are generalized. At last, we obtain an q-integral identity involving q-Laguerre polynomials. These applications indicate that the q-partial differential equation is an effective tool in studying q-Laguerre polynomials.  相似文献

We give a group theory interpretation of the three types of q-Bessel functions. We consider a family of quantum Lorentz groups and a family of quantum Lobachevsky spaces. For three values of the parameter of the quantum Lobachevsky space, the Casimir operators correspond to the two-body relativistic open Toda-chain Hamiltonians whose eigenfunctions are the modified q-Bessel functions of the three types. We construct the principal series of unitary irreducible representations of the quantum Lorentz groups. Special matrix elements in the irreducible spaces given by the q-Macdonald functions are the wave functions of the two-body relativistic open Toda chain. We obtain integral representations for these functions.  相似文献

Entire functions that share a polynomial with their derivatives   总被引:1,自引:1,他引:0
Let f be a nonconstant entire function, k and q be positive integers satisfying k>q, and let Q be a polynomial of degree q. This paper studies the uniqueness problem on entire functions that share a polynomial with their derivatives and proves that if the polynomial Q is shared by f and f CM, and if f(k)(z)−Q(z)=0 whenever f(z)−Q(z)=0, then ff. We give two examples to show that the hypothesis k>q is necessary.  相似文献

Using the Teichmüller character and Gauss sums, we obtain the following results concerning p-ary bent functions and q-ary resilient functions: (1) a characterization of certain q-ary resilient functions in terms of their coefficients; (2) stronger upper bounds for the degree of p-ary bent functions; (3) determination of all bent functions on ; (4) a characterization of ternary weakly regular bent functions in terms of their coefficients.  相似文献

The classical Levy-Meixner polynomials are distinguished through the special forms of their generating functions. In fact, they are completely determined by 4 parameters: c1, c2,γ and β. In this paper, for-1 〈q〈 1, we obtain a unified explicit form of q-deformed Levy-Meixner polynomials and their generating functions in term of c1, c2, γand β, which is shown to be a reasonable interpolation between classical case (q=1) and fermionic case (q=-1).In particular, when q=0 it's also compatible with the free case.  相似文献

Using matroid duality and the critical problem, we show that certain evaluations of the Tutte polynomial of a matroid represented as a matrix over a finite field GF(q) can be interpreted as weighted sums over pairs f , g of functions defined from the ground set to GF(q) whose difference f – g is the restriction of a linear functional on the column space of the matrix. Similar interpretations are given for the characteristic polynomial evaluated at q. These interpretations extend and elaborate interpretations for Tutte and chromatic polynomials of graphs due to Goodall and Matiyasevich. Received July 14, 2006  相似文献

(About Jackson q-Bessel functions)Laplace transform allows to resolve differential equations in the neighborhood of an irregular singular point. The purpose of the article is to study how to apply a basic Borel–Laplace transformation to q-difference equations satisfied by the q-Bessel functions of F.H. Jackson. Connection matrices are obtained between solutions at the origin and solutions at infinity.  相似文献

We present several sharp inequalities for the classical gamma and q-gamma functions. Some inequalities involve the psi function and its q-analogue. Our results improve, complement, and generalize some known (nonsharp) estimates.  相似文献
