Let $\mathcal{A}$ and $\mathcal{B}$ be unital rings, and $\mathcal{M}$ be an $\left( {\mathcal{A},\mathcal{B}} \right)$ -bimodule, which is faithful as a left $\mathcal{A}$ -module and also as a right $\mathcal{B}$ -module. We show that if ?? is a weak* closed operator algebra containing ?? then there are an element S ∈ ?? and a linear functional f on ?? such that δ (A) = SAAS + f (A)I for all A ∈ ??, and if ?? is the ideal of all compact operators then there is a compact operator K such that δ (A) = KA AK for all A ∈ ??. Given a von Neumann algebra M with a faithful normal semi-finite trace τ, we consider the non-commutative Arens algebra Lω(M,τ)=?p?1Lp(M,τ) and the related algebras and which are proved to be complete metrizable locally convex *-algebras. The main purpose of the present paper is to prove that any derivation of the algebra is inner and all derivations of the algebras Lω(M,τ) and are spatial and implemented by elements of . In particular we obtain that if the trace τ is finite then any derivation on the non-commutative Arens algebra Lω(M,τ) is inner.  相似文献

Let A be a unital algebra and M be a unital A-bimodule. A linear map δ : A →M is said to be Jordan derivable at a nontrivial idempotent P ∈ A if δ(A) ? B + A ? δ(B) =δ(A ? B) for any A, B ∈ A with A ? B = P, here A ? B = AB + BA is the usual Jordan product. In this article, we show that if A = Alg N is a Hilbert space nest algebra and M = B(H), or A = M = B(X), then, a linear map δ : A → M is Jordan derivable at a nontrivial projection P ∈ N or an arbitrary but fixed nontrivial idempotent P ∈ B(X) if and only if it is a derivation. Let U = Tri(A,M,B) be a triangular ring, where A and B are unital rings, and M is a faithful (A, B)-bimodule. It is shown that an additive map Φ on U is centralized at zero point (i.e., Φ(A)B = AΦ(B) = 0 whenever AB = 0) if and only if it is a centralizer. Let δ : U → U be an additive map. It is also shown that the following four conditions are equivalent: (1) δ is specially generalized derivable at zero point, i.e., δ(AB) = δ(A)B + Aδ(B) Aδ(I)B whenever AB = 0; (2) δ is generalized derivable at zero point, i.e., there exist additive maps τ1 and τ2 on U derivable at zero point such that δ(AB) = δ(A)B + Aτ1 (B) = τ2 (A)B + Aδ(B) whenever AB = 0; (3) δ is a special generalized derivation; (4) δ is a generalized derivation. A structure of a left-symmetric algebra on the set of all derivations of a free algebra is introduced such that its commutator algebra becomes the usual Lie algebra of derivations. Left and right nilpotent elements of left-symmetric algebras of derivations are studied. Simple left-symmetric algebras of derivations and Novikov algebras of derivations are described. It is also proved that the positive part of the left-symmetric algebra of derivations of a free nonassociative symmetric m-ary algebra in one free variable is generated by one derivation and some right nilpotent derivations are described.  相似文献

Let L be a J-subspace lattice on a Banach space X and Alg L the associated J-subspace lattice algebra. Let A be a standard operator subalgebra (i.e., it contains all finite rank operators in AlgL) of AlgL and M■B(X) the Alg L-bimodule. We study derivations on quaternion algebras that stabilise quadratic subfields. Following the work of L. Juan and A. Magid [10], we provide an explicit construction of a differential splitting field for a given differential quaternion algebra. A Lie isomorphism ? between algebras is called trivial if ?=ψ+τ, where ψ is an (algebraic) isomorphism or a negative of an (algebraic) anti-isomorphism, and τ is a linear map with image in the center vanishing on each commutator. In this paper, we investigate the conditions for the triviality of Lie isomorphisms from reflexive algebras with completely distributive and commutative lattices (CDCSL). In particular, we prove that a Lie isomorphism between irreducible CDCSL algebras is trivial if and only if it preserves I-idempotent operators (the sum of an idempotent and a scalar multiple of the identity) in both directions. We also prove the triviality of each Lie isomorphism from a CDCSL algebra onto a CSL algebra which has a comparable invariant projection with rank and corank not one. Some examples of Lie isomorphisms are presented to show the sharpness of the conditions.  相似文献
