Ba0.6Sr0.4TiO3 ceramics were prepared by a citrate precursor method. The structure and nonlinear dielectric properties of the resulting ceramics were investigated within the sintering temperature range 1200-1300 °C. Adopting fine Ba0.6Sr0.4TiO3 powder derived from the citrate method was confirmed to be effective in reducing the sintering temperatures required for densification. The ceramic specimens sintered at 1230-1280 °C presented relative densities of around 95%. A significant influence of sintering temperature on the microstructure and nonlinear dielectric properties was detected. The discrepancy in nonlinear dielectric behavior among the specimens sintered at different temperatures was qualitatively interpreted in terms of the dielectric response of polar micro-regions under bias electric field. The specimens sintered at 1230 and 1250 °C attained superior nonlinear dielectric properties, showing relatively low dielectric losses (tan δ) of 0.24% and 0.22% at 10 kHz together with comparatively large figure of merits (FOM) of 121 and 142 at 10 kHz and 20 kV/cm, respectively.  相似文献

The effect of post sintering annealing on the dielectric response of (Pb1−xBax)(Yb0.5Ta0.5)O3 ceramics in the diffuse phase transition range (x=0.2) has been investigated. The samples are prepared by conventional solid-state reaction method. The samples are sintered at 1300 °C for 2 h and annealed at different temperatures (800, 900 and 1000 °C) for 8 h and at 800 °C for different time durations (8, 12 and 24 h). A significant change in the dielectric response has been observed in all the samples. The dielectric constant increases remarkably and the dielectric loss tangent decreases. The dielectric peaks of the annealed samples are observed to be more diffused with noticeable frequency dispersion compared to the as sintered sample.  相似文献

Polycrystalline NiCuZn soft ferrites with stoichiometric iron were prepared by a novel microwave sintering method. The powders were calcined, compacted and sintered at 950 °C for 30 min in a microwave sintering furnace. X-ray diffraction patterns confirm the formation of single phase cubic spinel structure. The grain size was estimated using SEM micrographs. The lattice constant is found to increase with increase in zinc concentration. The sintered ferrites have been investigated for their physical, magnetic and electrical properties such as bulk density, X-ray density, porosity, anisotropy constant, initial permeability, saturation magnetization, DC resistivity, dielectric constant and dielectric loss as a function of zinc concentration. Permeability, saturation magnetization, dielectric constant and dielectric loss were found to increase while DC resistivity was found to decrease with the replacement of Zn with Ni. The present series of ferrites are found to posses properties that are suitable for the core materials in multilayer chip inductors.  相似文献

We report the use of a novel powder-in-sol precursor hybrid processing route to synthesize dense, homogeneous, and fine-crystalline Ba0.6Sr0.4TiO3-MgO (BST-MgO) ceramics as well as the study of the sintering behavior, microstructures, and dielectric properties of the ceramics. Nanosized BST powders are dispersed into BST sol-gel precursor and uniformly distributed BST slurry is obtained after ball-milling mixing. Mg(NO3)·6H2O solution is added to the BST slurry to give homogeneous BST-MgO slurry upon ball-milling mixing. The BST-MgO slurry is dried and calcined prior to pressing and sintering at low temperatures of 1200-1300 °C to form the ceramics. The ceramics possess very low dielectric loss tangent below 0.005 for frequency above 1 kHz and for temperature in the range −190-80 °C. The dielectric constant and dielectric tunability increase, while the ferroelectric transition broadening decreases, with increasing average grain size.  相似文献

The sintering behavior, microstructures, and microwave dielectric properties of Ca2Zn4Ti15O36 ceramics with B2O3 addition were investigated. The crystalline phases and microstructures of Ca2Zn4Ti15O36 ceramics with 0-10 wt% B2O3 addition were studied by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS). The sintering temperature of Ca2Zn4Ti15O36 ceramic was lowered from 1170 to 930 °C by 10 wt% B2O3 addition. Ca2Zn4Ti15O36 ceramics with 8 wt% B2O3 addition sintered at 990 °C for 2 h exhibited good microwave dielectric properties, i.e., a quality factor (Qf) 11,400 GHz, a relative dielectric constant (εr) 41.5, and a temperature coefficient of resonant frequency (τf) 94.4 ppm/°C.  相似文献

Mixed manganese-zinc and nickel-zinc ferrites of composition Mn0.2Ni0.8−xZnxFe2O4 where x=0.4x=0.4, 0.5 and 0.6 have been synthesized by the citrate precursor technique. Decomposition of the precursor at temperatures as low as 500 °C gives the ferrite powder. The ferrites have been investigated for their electrical and magnetic properties such as saturation magnetization, initial permeability, Curie temperature, AC-resistivity and dielectric constant as a function of sintering temperature and zinc content. Structural properties such as lattice parameter, grain size and density are also studied. The mixed compositions exhibited higher saturation magnetizations at sintering temperatures as low as 1200 °C. While the Curie temperature decreased with zinc content, the permeability was found to increase. The AC-resistivity ranged from 105–107 Ω cm and decreased with zinc content and sintering temperature. The dielectric constants were lower than those normally reported for the Mn–Zn ferrites. Samples sintered at 1400 °C densified to about 94% of the theoretical density and the grain size was of the order of about 1.5 μm for the samples sintered at 1200 °C and increased subsequently with sintering temperature.  相似文献

The (Zr0.8Sn0.2)TiO4 material (ZST), has been prepared by solid state reaction and characterized. The samples were sintered in the temperature range of 1260-1320 °C for 2 h. The effects of sintering parameters like sintering temperature (Ts) and MgO addition (0.2 wt.%) on structural and dielectric properties were investigated. Bulk density increases from 4900 to 5050 kg/m3 with the increase of sintering temperature. The effect of MgO addition is to lower the sintering temperature in order to obtain well sintered samples with high value of bulk density. The material exhibits a dielectric constant ?r ∼ 37 and high values of the Q × f product, greater than 45,000, at microwave frequencies. The dielectric properties make the ZST material very attractive for microwave applications such as dielectric resonators, filters, dielectric antennas, substrates for hybrid microwave integrated circuits, etc.  相似文献

Nanoparticles of Co1−xZnxFe2O4 with stoichiometric proportion (x) varying from 0.0 to 0.6 were prepared by the chemical co-precipitation method. The samples were sintered at 600 °C for 2 h and were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), low field AC magnetic susceptibility, DC electrical resistivity and dielectric constant measurements. From the analysis of XRD patterns, the nanocrystalline ferrite had been obtained at pH=12.5–13 and reaction time of 45 min. The particle size was calculated from the most intense peak (3 1 1) using the Scherrer formula. The size of precipitated particles lies within the range 12–16 nm, obtained at reaction temperature of 70 °C. The Curie temperature was obtained from AC magnetic susceptibility measurements in the range 77–850 K. It is observed that Curie temperature decreases with the increase of Zn concentration. DC electrical resistivity measurements were carried out by two-probe method from 370 to 580 K. Temperature-dependent DC electrical resistivity decreases with increase in temperature ensuring the semiconductor nature of the samples. DC electrical resistivity results are discussed in terms of polaron hopping model. Activation energy calculated from the DC electrical resistivity versus temperature for all the samples ranges from 0.658 to 0.849 eV. The drift mobility increases by increasing temperature due to decrease in DC electrical resisitivity. The dielectric constants are studied as a function of frequency in the range 100 Hz–1 MHz at room temperature. The dielectric constant decreases with increasing frequency for all the samples and follow the Maxwell–Wagner's interfacial polarization.  相似文献

Solid solutions of bismuth layered (Bi2O3)(BaxMo1−xO3) (0.2≤x≤0.8, x is in step of 0.2) ceramics were prepared by conventional solid-state reaction of the constitutive oxides at optimized temperatures with a view to study its electrical properties. Powder X-ray diffraction has been employed for physical characterization and an average grain size of ∼16 to 22 nm was obtained. XRD study reveals the single phase structure of the samples. Dielectric properties such as dielectric constant (ε′), dielectric loss (tanδ) and ac electrical conductivity (σac) of the prepared ceramics sintered at various temperatures in the frequency range 101–107 Hz have been studied. A strong dispersion observed in the dielectric properties shows the relaxor type behavior of the ceramic. The presence of maxima in the dielectric permittivity spectra indicates the ferroelectric behavior of the samples. Impedance plots (Cole–Cole plots) at different frequencies and temperatures were used to analyze the electric behavior. The value of grain resistance increases with the increase in Ba ion concentration. The conductivity mechanism shows a frequency dependence, which can be ascribed to the space charge mainly due to the oxygen vacancies. The relaxation observed for the M″ (ω) or Z″ (ω) curves is correlated to both localized and long range conduction. A single ‘master curve’ for the normalized plots of all the modulus isotherms observed for a given composition indicates that the conductivity relaxation is temperature independent.  相似文献

Abstract

Recent advances on the preparation technique of sintered diamond and cubic boron nitride containing small amount of sintering additives having superior thermal and mechanical properties is reviewed. Sintered diamond of lower metallic content (1–5 vol%) shows high hardness (100–150 GPa) and high electrical resistivity (108 ohm-cm) at room temperature. Reaction sintered cubic boron nitride contained 1–3 mole % of magnesium boron nitride shows high thermal conductivity. (7 watt/cm K at RT)  相似文献

Synthesis and characterization of zinc titanate doped with magnesium   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
Zinc titanate crystals doped with magnesium have been grown by conventional solid state reaction technique using metal oxides. It is shown that they are semiconductors. The characteristics of zinc titanate samples were found to depend on the heating conditions and the amounts of additions. Our studies revealed that magnesium can replace the zinc ion and forms a solid solution in the ZnTiO3 phase. The electrical resistivity of (Zn,Mg)TiO3 varied with sintering temperature, and has a minimum when sintered at 900 °C. Increasing amounts of magnesium will also decrease the resistivity. A V-shaped temperature dependence of resistivity was observed. Furthermore, the dielectric constant increased with sintering temperature and decreased with increasing amounts of magnesium. It also shows a maximum Q factor at a frequency of 8 GHz for the sample of (Zn0.9, Mg0.1)TiO3 sintered at 900 °C.  相似文献

Structural, dielectric and ferroelectric properties of tungsten (W) substituted SrBi2(Ta1−xWx)2O9 (SBTW) [x=0.0, 0.025, 0.05, 0.075, 0.1 and 0.2] have been studied as a function of sintering temperature (1100-1250 °C). X-ray diffraction patterns confirm the single-phase layered perovskite structure formation up to x=0.05 at all sintering temperatures. The present study reveals an optimum sintering temperature of 1200 °C for the best properties of SBTW samples. Maximum Tc of ∼390 °C is observed for x=0.20 sample sintered at 1200 °C. Peak-dielectric constant (εr) increases from ∼270 to ∼700 on increasing x from 0.0 to 0.20 at 1200 °C sintering temperature. DC conductivity of the SBTW samples is nearly two to three orders lower than that of the pristine sample. Remnant polarization (Pr) increases with the W content up to x≤0.075. A maximum 2Pr (∼25 μC/cm2) is obtained with x=0.075 sample sintered at 1200 °C. The observed behavior is explained in terms of improved microstructural features, contribution from the oxygen and cationic vacancies in SBTW. Such tungsten substituted samples sintered at 1200 °C exhibiting enhanced dielectric and ferroelectric properties should be useful for memory applications.  相似文献

The Ni-Cu-Zn ferrites with different contents of Bi4Ti3O12 ceramics (1-8 wt%) as sintering additives were prepared by the usual ceramic technology and sintered at 900 °C to adapt to the low temperature co-fired ceramic (LTCC) technology. The magnetic and dielectric properties of the ferrite can be effectively improved with the effect of an appropriate amount of Bi4Ti3O12. For all samples, the ferrite sintered with 2 wt% Bi4Ti3O12 has relatively high density (98.8%) and permeability, while the ferrite with 8 wt% Bi4Ti3O12 has relatively good dielectric properties in a wide frequency range. The influences of Bi4Ti3O12 addition on microstructure, magnetic and dielectric properties of the ferrite have been discussed.  相似文献

Sintering temperature and particle size dependent structural and magnetic properties of lithium ferrite (Li0.5Fe2.5O4) were synthesized and sintered at four different temperatures ranging from 875 to 1475 K in the step of 200 K. The sample sintered at 875 K was also treated for four different sintering times ranging from 4 to 16 h. Samples sintered at 1475 K have the cubic spinel structure with a small amount of α-Fe2O3 (hematite) and γ-Fe2O3 (maghemite). The samples sintered at≤1275 K do not show hematite and maghemite phases and the crystals form the single phase spinel structure with the cation ordering on octahedral sites. Particle size of lithium ferrite is in the range of 13-45 nm, and is depend on the sintering temperature and sintering time. The saturation magnetization increased from 45 to 76 emu/g and coercivity decreases from 151 to 139 Oe with an increase in particle size. Magnetization temperature curve recorded in ZFC and FC modes in an external magnetic field of 100 Oe. Typical blocking effects are observed below about 244 K. The dielectric constant increases with an increase in sintering temperature and particle size.  相似文献

Ferroelectric-ferromagnetic composites were prepared by the usual ceramic technology combined with the sol-gel method and sintered at 900 °C to adapt to the low-temperature co-fired ceramic (LTCC) technology. The ferroelectric ceramics in reasonable amounts can effectively decrease the RF loss, dielectric loss and increase the saturation magnetization. Variations of permeability, dielectric constant and loss tangent with the frequency in the range of 1 MHz-1.8 GHz have been discussed. The microstructures of the sintered ceramics were analyzed by scanning electron microscope (SEM). The influences of different composition on the electromagnetic properties of the composites have been investigated.  相似文献

Phase pure perovskite (1−xy)Pb(Ni1/3Nb2/3)O3-xPb(Zn1/3Nb2/3)O3-yPbTiO3 (PNN-PZN-PT) ferroelectric ceramics were prepared by conventional solid-state reaction method via a B-site oxide mixing route. The PNN-PZN-PT ceramics sintered at the optimized condition of 1185 °C for 2 h exhibit high relative density and rather homogenous microstructure. With the increase of PbTiO3 (PT) content, crystal structure and electrical properties of the synthesized PNN-PZN-PT ceramics exhibit successive phase transformation. A morphotropic phase boundary (MPB) is supposed to form in (0.9−x)PNN-0.1PZN-xPT at a region of x=32-36 mol% confirmed by X-ray diffraction (XRD) measurement and dielectric measurement. The MPB composition can be pictured as providing a “bridge” connecting rhombohedral ferroelectric (FE) phase and tetragonal one since crystal structure of the MPB composition is similar to both the rhombohedral and tetragonal lattices. Dielectric response of the sintered PNN-PZN-PT ceramics also exhibits successive phase-transition character. 0.64PNN-0.1PZN-0.26PT exhibits broad, diffused and frequency dependent dielectric peaks indicating a character of diffused FE-paraelectric (PE) phase transition of relaxor ferroelectrics and 0.40PNN-0.1PZN-0.50PT exhibits narrow, sharp and frequency independent dielectric peaks indicating a character of first-order FE-PE phase transition of normal ferroelectrics. The FE-PE phase transition of 0.56PNN-0.1PZN-0.34PT is nearly first-order with some diffused character, which also exhibits the largest value of piezoelectric constant d33 of 462pC/N.  相似文献

The electrical properties of the solid electrolytes Ag7I4VO4-Al2O3 (0-40 mol% Al2O3) are investigated. The electrical conductivity, dielectric constant and dielectric loss are increased by increasing the concentration of Al2O3; showing a maximum at 30 mol% Al2O3. The conductivity is found to be increased by decreasing the particle size of Al2O3. The results are explained using the random resistor network model (RRN). This is due to the formation of a highly conducting interface layer along the matrix-particle interface. This layer is destroyed at concentrations higher than 30 mol% Al2O3.  相似文献

CaCu3Ti4O12 ceramics were prepared at the sintering temperatures ranged from 1025 to 1125 °C, and the dielectric characteristics were evaluated together with the microstructures. The giant dielectric constant with the maximum of 53,120 was obtained in CaCu3Ti4O12 ceramics at room temperature and 10 kHz, and strong processing and microstructure dependence of dielectric characteristics of the present ceramics was determined. The precipitation of the dispersed Cu-rich secondary phases of CuO and/or Cu2O and their network structure provided the extrinsic origins of the enhanced giant dielectric response, and the present findings would offer the greater potential for enhancing the giant dielectric constant and controlling the dielectric loss in CaCu3Ti4O12 ceramics by optimizing the microstructures.  相似文献

Single-phase cubic Ba(Fe,Nb)0.5O3 (BFN) powder was synthesized by solid-state reaction at 900, 1000, 1100, 1200 °C for 4 h in air. X-ray diffraction indicated that the BFN oxide mixture calcined at 1200 °C crystallizes to the pure cubic perovskite phase. The crystallite size of the BFN increases slightly with increasing temperature, while the lattice strain progressively decreases. BFN ceramics were produced from this powder by sintering at 1350–1400 °C for 4 h in air. Samples prepared under these conditions achieved up to 97.4% of the theoretical density. The temperature dependence of their dielectric constant and loss tangent, measured at difference frequencies, shows an increase in the dielectric constant with sintering temperature and measurement frequency which is probably due to disorder on the B site ion of the perovskite. The Mössbauer spectra of these sintered BFN ceramics suggests the presence of a superstructure on the B-cation sublattice.  相似文献

Proton-conducting polymer electrolytes based on poly vinyl alcohol (PVA; 88% hydrolyzed) and ammonium iodide (NH4I) has been prepared by solution casting method with different molar ratios of polymer and salt using DMSO as solvent. DMSO has been chosen as a solvent due its high dielectric constant and also its plasticizing nature. The ionic conductivity has been found to increase with increasing salt concentration up to 25 mol% beyond which the conductivity decreases and the highest ambient temperature conductivity has been found to be 2.5×10−3 S cm−1. The conductivity enhancement with addition of NH4I has been well correlated with the increase in amorphous nature of the films confirmed from XRD and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) analyses. The temperature-dependent conductivity follows the Arrhenius relation. The polymer-proton interactions have been analyzed by FTIR spectroscopy.  相似文献
