To achieve the stereoselective and regioselective diamination of alkenes,Xu et al.developed an electrochemical protocol for the diamination of aryl alkenes with sulfamides by using triarylamine as a redox mediator.The chemistry proceeded in an undivided cell under constant current conditions,featuring not only wide scope of substrates and reasonable yields,but also excellent diastereoselectivity(>20:1 dr)and regioselectivity.This work has been published in the Nature Communications and can be reached at https://doi.org/10.1038/s41467-019-13024-5.  相似文献

It is challenging to realize both high fracture toughness and low hysteresis perfectly in synthetic systems, which restricts the use of stretchable hydrogels in load-bearing applications. Recently, by imbedding the folded polyprotein cross-linker in a percolating random coiled network, Cao et al. demonstrated a highly stretchable hydrogel, which shows low hysteresis(<5%) but achieves high fracture toughness(ca. 900 J/m2). Moreover, the hydrogel shows outstanding anti-fatigue properties with a fatigue fracture threshold of 126 J/m2. The unique network structure breaks the hysteresis-toughness correlation that is usually reported in stretchable and tough hydrogels. Uranium-free molybdenum-based CerMet fuels can be applied for transmutation of minor actinides in GEN IV reactors or ADS. In a reprocessing concept designed in the first paper in this mini-series (Mareš and John in J Radioanal Nucl Chem 320(1):227–233, 2019. https://doi.org/10.1007/s10967-019-06456-2) the residual radionuclidic impurities need to be separated from slightly alkaline (pH 9.1) highly concentrated ammonium molybdate solutions. Screening tests of technetium extraction onto three extraction chromatographic materials were performed in present study. Solid extractants based on Aliquat® 336 turned out to be the most promising for Tc extraction from molybdenum solutions both from the point of view of the extraction kinetics and the practical extraction capacity. The overall results of this mini-series allowed to conclude that if the molybdenum recycling concept proposed is adopted, separation of the residual radionuclidic impurities should not represent a significant problem.

Rapid classification of the secondary structures of nucleic acids, such as G-quadruplexes(G4s) is desirable but very challenging due to the high similarity among different folding. Chen et al. constructed a host-guest sensor array to differentiate the topology of unmodified G4s for the first time. Multiple equilibria present in the sensing system resulted in differential fluorescence responses to different G4 structures, and yielded excellent selec-tivity of the sensor array in structure discrimination. Given the fact that aldehydes are among the most fundamental and versatile building blocks in organic synthesis, the development of highly efficient and selective methods for their preparation, especially for those delicately functionalized ones remains significant challenging. To address such an issue, Xu and co-workers have recently reported an elegant electrochemical approach realizing the highly regioselective oxidation of functionalized methyl aromatic hydrocarbons towards the desired aromatic acetals without the use of any chemical oxidants or transition metal catalysts. These acetals can be then conveniently converted into corresponding structurally diverse aldehydes via hydrolysis. In addition, the synthetic practicability of current method was further highlighted as the key step in the preparation of the antihypertensive drug telmisartan. Acute kidney injury is one of the most troublesome and lethal adverse effects in patients receiving chemotherapy. Conventional approaches that mitigate the toxicity of chemotherapeutic agents, however, also consequently compromise their tumor-killing efficacy. In order to overcome this dilemma, Ling and colleagues developed a ceria nanoparticle-based antioxidant agent that selectively relieved chemotherapy-induced oxidative damage in healthy tissues but not in the tumor microenvironment, where the slightly acidic pH acted to inhibit its enzyme-like and antioxidant activity. These ceria nanoparticles with context-dependent catalytic activity thus implied a possible reconciliation between effective protection from kidney injury and high potency of chemotherapy. Low water vapor and air permeability is a persistent challenge in wearable and on-skin electronics, as it reduces wearing comfort, and leads to skin irritation and inflammation in the long term. To tackle this issue, Zheng and coworkers designed a stretchable conductor based on an elastomeric fiber mat coated by liquid metal. After simple activation via stretching, the flexible conductor was endowed with excellent permeability, good stretchability, exceptional electrical stability, and good biocompatibility, ascribed to the mesh-like structure and the vertically buckled structure of the liquid metal. Based on the intriguing properties of the material, it was employed in a multi-functional wearable device, able to detect the heartbeat and sweat while serving as a heating device. Electrochemistry at confinement plays a significant impact on single entity analysis, efficient energy conversion, and nanofluidic transportation. Usually, the confinement is constructed by nanopore-structured materials. However, the physicochemical properties of function elements at inner walls of nanopore are inexplicit due to the limit of technology, which hinders the elegant modifications of nanopores and their related sophisticated applications. To address this issue, Xia and coworkers from China University of Geosciences developed a new solid-state nanochannel system modified with only function elements at outer surface. Explicit regulation of ion transport across this system was realized by the precise measurement of the physicochemical pro-perties of function elements at the outer surface, which was further supported by the numerical simulations. Furthermore, this novel system shows advantages in osmotic energy conversion and universal sensing of targets from ions to cells. Poly(n-butylacrylate-co-carbon monoxide-co-ethylene) (polyEBC) samples prepared from 13C-labeled monomer, n-butyl acrylate, were characterized using two dimensional (2D) pulsed field gradient (PFG) 750 MHz NMR spectroscopy. To elucidate the complex structure of the terpolymer, 2D-1H/13C-heteronuclear single quantum coherence (HSQC) and heteronuclear multiple bond correlation (HMBC) experiments were conducted by selectively exciting the enhanced resonances in the spectra of two polymer samples, one polymer resulting from synthesis with 1-13C-n-butylacrylate monomer and a second polymer obtained from a synthesis with 2-13C-n-butylacrylate monomer. High-resolution 2D-NMR combined with 13C-labeling of the polymer greatly simplifies the 2D-NMR spectra, selectively enhances the weak peaks from low occurrence B-centered triad structures, and aids in their resonance assignments. In all experiments, the sample temperature was 120 degrees C, to ensure a homogeneous solution and sufficient molecular mobility.
