Here, we report multinuclear organometallic molecular wires having (2,5-diethynylthiophene)diyl-Ru(dppe)2 repeating units. Despite the molecular dimensions of 2–4 nm the multinuclear wires show high conductance (up to 10−2 to 10−3G0) at the single-molecule level with small attenuation factors (β) as revealed by STM-break junction measurements. The high performance can be attributed to the efficient energy alignment between the Fermi level of the metal electrodes and the HOMO levels of the multinuclear molecular wires as revealed by DFT–NEGF calculations. Electrochemical and DFT studies reveal that the strong Ru–Ru interaction through the bridging ligands raises the HOMO levels to access the Fermi level, leading to high conductance and small β values.

PdII/CuI co-catalyze an arylation reaction of gem-difluoroalkenes using arylsulfonyl chlorides to deliver α,α-difluorobenzyl products. The reaction proceeds through a β,β-difluoroalkyl–Pd intermediate that typically undergoes unimolecular β-F elimination to deliver monofluorinated alkene products in a net C–F functionalization reaction. However to avoid β-F elimination, we offer the β,β-difluoroalkyl–Pd intermediate an alternate low-energy route involving β-H elimination to ultimately deliver difluorinated products in a net arylation/isomerization sequence. Overall, this reaction enables exploration of new reactivities of unstable fluorinated alkyl–metal species, while also providing new opportunities for transforming readily available fluorinated alkenes into more elaborate substructures.

PdII/CuI co-catalyze a desulfitative arylation of aliphatic gem-difluoroalkenes in a radical arylation/migratory insertion sequence that avoids β-F elimination.  相似文献

Deuterium labelled compounds are of significant importance in chemical mechanism investigations, mass spectrometric studies, diagnoses of drug metabolisms, and pharmaceutical discovery. Herein, we report an efficient hydrogen deuterium exchange reaction using deuterium oxide (D2O) as the deuterium source, enabled by merging a tetra-n-butylammonium decatungstate (TBADT) hydrogen atom transfer photocatalyst and a thiol catalyst under light irradiation at 390 nm. This deuteration protocol is effective with formyl C–H bonds and a wide range of hydridic C(sp3)–H bonds (e.g. α-oxy, α-thioxy, α-amino, benzylic, and unactivated tertiary C(sp3)–H bonds). It has been successfully applied to the high incorporation of deuterium in 38 feedstock chemicals, 15 pharmaceutical compounds, and 6 drug precursors. Sequential deuteration between formyl C–H bonds of aldehydes and other activated hydridic C(sp3)–H bonds can be achieved in a selective manner.

Complexes of the Lewis base-free cations (MeBDI)Mg+ and (tBuBDI)Mg+ with Ph–X ligands (X = F, Cl, Br, I) have been studied (MeBDI = HC[C(Me)N-DIPP]2 and tBuBDI = HC[C(tBu)N-DIPP]2; DIPP = 2,6-diisopropylphenyl). For the smaller β-diketiminate ligand (MeBDI) only complexes with PhF could be isolated. Heavier Ph–X ligands could not compete with bonding of Mg to the weakly coordinating anion B(C6F5)4. For the cations with the bulkier tBuBDI ligand, the full series of halobenzene complexes was structurally characterized. Crystal structures show that the Mg⋯X–Ph angle strongly decreases with the size of X: F 139.1°, Cl 101.4°, Br 97.7°, I 95.1°. This trend, which is supported by DFT calculations, can be explained with the σ-hole which increases from F to I. Charge calculation and Atoms-In-Molecules analyses show that Mg⋯F–Ph bonding originates from electrostatic attraction between Mg2+ and the very polar Cδ+–Fδ bond. For the heavier halobenzenes, polarization of the halogen atom becomes increasingly important (Cl < Br < I). Complexation with Mg leads in all cases to significant Ph–X bond activation and elongation. This unusual coordination of halogenated species to early main group metals is therefore relevant to C–X bond breaking.

Complexes of a highly Lewis acidic Mg cation and the full series of Ph–X (X = F, Cl, Br, I) have been structurally characterized. The Mg⋯X–Ph angle decreases with halogen size on account of the growing halogen σ-hole.  相似文献

Metal-mediated DNA base pairs, which consist of two ligand-type artificial nucleobases and a bridging metal ion, have attracted increasing attention in recent years as a different base pairing mode from natural base pairing. Metal-mediated base pairing has been extensively studied, not only for metal-dependent thermal stabilisation of duplexes, but also for metal assembly by DNA templates and construction of functional DNAs that can be controlled by metals. Here, we report the metal-mediated base paring properties of a novel 2-oxo-imidazole-4-carboxylate (ImOC) nucleobase and a previously reported 2-oxo-imidazole-4-carboxamide (ImOA) nucleobase, both of which can be easily derived from a commercially available uridine analogue. The ImOC nucleobases were found to form stable ImOC–CuII–ImOC and ImOC–HgII–ImOC base pairs in the presence of the corresponding metal ions, leading to an increase in the duplex melting temperature by +20 °C and +11 °C, respectively. The ImOC bases did not react with other divalent metal ions and showed superior metal selectivity compared to similar nucleobase design reported so far. The ImOC–CuII–ImOC base pair was much more stable than mismatch pairs with other natural nucleobases, confirming the base pair specificity in the presence of CuII. Furthermore, we demonstrated the quantitative assembly of three CuII ions inside a DNA duplex with three consecutive ImOC–ImOC pairs, showing great potential of DNA-template based CuII nanoarray construction. The study of easily-prepared ImOC base pairs will provide a new design strategy for metal-responsive DNA materials.

Calculated conductance through Aun–S–Bridge–S–Aun (Bridge = organic σ/π-system) constructs are compared to experimentally-determined magnetic exchange coupling parameters in a series of TpCum,MeZnSQ–Bridge–NN complexes, where TpCum,Me = hydro-tris(3-cumenyl-1-methylpyrazolyl)borate ancillary ligand, Zn = diamagnetic zinc(ii), SQ = semiquinone (S = 1/2), and NN = nitronylnitroxide radical (S = 1/2). We find that there is a nonlinear functional relationship between the biradical magnetic exchange coupling, JD→A, and the computed conductance, gmb. Although different bridge types (monomer vs. dimer) do not lie on the same JD→Avs. gmb, curve, there is a scale invariance between the monomeric and dimeric bridges which shows that the two data sets are related by a proportionate scaling of JD→A. For exchange and conductance mediated by a given bridge fragment, we find that the ratio of distance dependent decay constants for conductance (βg) and magnetic exchange coupling (βJ) does not equal unity, indicating that inherent differences in the tunneling energy gaps, Δε, and the bridge–bridge electronic coupling, HBB, are not directly transferrable properties as they relate to exchange and conductance. The results of these observations are described in valence bond terms, with resonance structure contributions to the ground state bridge wavefunction being different for SQ–Bridge–NN and Aun–S–Bridge–S–Aun systems.

Calculated conductance through Aun–S–Bridge–S–Aun constructs are compared to experimental magnetic exchange coupling parameters in TpCum,MeZn(SQ–Bridge–NN) complexes, where SQ = semiquinone radical and NN = nitronylnitroxide radical.  相似文献

Sequential treatment of [Rh(COE)2Cl]2 (COE = cyclooctene) with PiPr3, alkyne derivatives and tBuN Created by potrace 1.16, written by Peter Selinger 2001-2019 BMes (Mes = 2,4,6-trimethylphenyl) provided functionalized rhodium η4-1,2-azaborete complexes of the form (η4-azaborete)RhCl(PiPr3). The scope of this reaction was expanded to encompass alkynes with hydrogen, alkyl, aryl, ferrocenyl, alkynyl, azaborinyl and boronate ester substituents. Treatment of these complexes with PMe3 led to insertion of the rhodium atom into the B–C bond of the BNC2 ring, forming 1-rhoda-3,2-azaboroles. Addition of N-heterocyclic carbenes to azaborete complexes led to highly unusual rearrangements to rhodium η21-allenylborylamino complexes via deprotonation and C–N bond cleavage. Heating and photolysis of an azaborete complex also led to rupture of the C–N bond followed by subsequent rearrangements, yielding an η4-aminoborylallene complex and two isomeric η4-butadiene complexes.

Rhodium η4-azaborete complexes can be transformed into a variety of species with ring-opened, BN-containing ligands by treatment with Lewis bases.  相似文献

An efficient strategy for designing charge-transfer complexes using coinage metal cyclic trinuclear complexes (CTCs) is described herein. Due to opposite quadrupolar electrostatic contributions from metal ions and ligand substituents, [Au(μ-Pz-(i-C3H7)2)]3·[Ag(μ-Tz-(n-C3F7)2)]3 (Pz = pyrazolate, Tz = triazolate) has been obtained and its structure verified by single crystal X-ray diffraction – representing the 1st crystallographically-verified stacked adduct of monovalent coinage metal CTCs. Abundant supramolecular interactions with aggregate covalent bonding strength arise from a combination of M–M′ (Au → Ag), metal–π, π–π interactions and hydrogen bonding in this charge-transfer complex, according to density functional theory analyses, yielding a computed binding energy of 66 kcal mol−1 between the two trimer moieties – a large value for intermolecular interactions between adjacent d10 centres (nearly doubling the value for a recently-claimed Au(i) → Cu(i) polar-covalent bond: Proc. Natl. Acad. Sci. U.S.A., 2017, 114, E5042) – which becomes 87 kcal mol−1 with benzene stacking. Surprisingly, DFT analysis suggests that: (a) some other literature precedents should have attained a stacked product akin to the one herein, with similar or even higher binding energy; and (b) a high overall intertrimer bonding energy by inferior electrostatic assistance, underscoring genuine orbital overlap between M and M′ frontier molecular orbitals in such polar-covalent M–M′ bonds in this family of molecules. The Au → Ag bonding is reminiscent of classical Werner-type coordinate-covalent bonds such as H3N: → Ag in [Ag(NH3)2]+, as demonstrated herein quantitatively. Solid-state and molecular modeling illustrate electron flow from the π-basic gold trimer to the π-acidic silver trimer with augmented contributions from ligand-to-ligand’ (LL′CT) and metal-to-ligand (MLCT) charge transfer.

A stacked Ag3–Au3 bonded (66 kcal mol−1) complex obtained crystallographically exhibits charge-transfer characteristics arising from multiple cooperative supramolecular interactions.  相似文献

This work emphasizes easy access to α-vinyl and aryl amino acids via Ni-catalyzed cross-electrophile coupling of bench-stable N-carbonyl-protected α-pivaloyloxy glycine with vinyl/aryl halides and triflates. The protocol permits the synthesis of α-amino acids bearing hindered branched vinyl groups, which remains a challenge using the current methods. On the basis of experimental and DFT studies, simultaneous addition of glycine α-carbon (Gly) radicals to Ni(0) and Ar–Ni(ii) may occur, with the former being more favored where oxidative addition of a C(sp2) electrophile to the resultant Gly–Ni(i) intermediate gives a key Gly–Ni(iii)–Ar intermediate. The auxiliary chelation of the N-carbonyl oxygen to the Ni center appears to be crucial to stabilize the Gly–Ni(i) intermediate.

We have developed Ni-catalyzed reductive coupling of N-carbonyl protected α-pivaloyloxy glycine with Csp2-electrophiles that enabled facile preparation of α-amino acids, including those bearing hindered branched vinyl groups.  相似文献

Electronic interactions can radically enhance the performance of supported metal catalysts and are critical for fundamentally understanding the nature of catalysts. However, at the microscopic level, the details of such interactions tuning the electronic properties of the sites on the metal particle''s surface and metal–support interface remain obscure. Herein, we found polarized electronic metal–support interaction (pEMSI) in oxide-supported Pd nanoparticles (NPs) describing the enhanced accumulation of electrons at the surface of NPs (superficial Pdδ) with positive Pd atoms distributed on the interface (interfacial Pdδ+). More superficial Pdδ species mean stronger pEMSI resulting from the synergistic effect of moderate Pd–oxide interaction, high structural fluxionality and electron transport activity of Pd NPs. The surface Pdδ species are responsible for improved catalytic performance for H2 evolution from metal hydrides and formates. These extensive insights into the nature of supported-metal NPs may open new avenues for regulating a metal particle''s electronic structure precisely and exploiting high-performance catalysts.

A new type of electronic effect, polarized metal-support interaction (pEMSI), in oxide-supported Pd nanoparticles describing the enhanced accumulation of electrons at the superficial surface is responsible for improved catalytic H2 evolution.  相似文献

A tetra(o-tolyl) (μ-hydrido)diborane(4) anion 1, an analogue of [B2H5] species, was facilely prepared through the reaction of tetra(o-tolyl)diborane(4) with sodium hydride. Unlike common sp2–sp3 diborane species, 1 exhibited a σ-B–B bond nucleophilicity towards NHC-coordinated transition-metal (Cu, Ag, and Au) halides, resulting in the formation of η2-B–B bonded complexes 2 as confirmed by single-crystal X-ray analyses. Compared with 1, the structural data of 2 imply significant elongations of B–B bonds, following the order Au > Cu > Ag. DFT studies show that the diboron ligand interacts with the coinage metal through a three-center-two-electron B–M–B bonding mode. The fact that the B–B bond of the gold complex is much prolonged than the related Cu and Ag compounds might be ascribed to the superior electrophilicity of the gold atom.

A tetra(o-tolyl)(μ-hydrido)diborane(4) anion is facilely prepared via the reaction of tetra(o-tolyl)diborane(4) with NaH. It exhibits a σ-B–B bond nucleophilicity towards NHC-metal halides to give the corresponding η2-B–B bonded metal complexes.  相似文献

The use of donor–π–acceptor (D–π–A) skeletons is an effective strategy for the design of fluorophores with red-shifted emission. In particular, the use of amino and boryl moieties as the electron-donating and -accepting groups, respectively, can produce dyes that exhibit high fluorescence and solvatochromism. Herein, we introduce a dithienophosphole P-oxide scaffold as an acceptor–spacer to produce a boryl- and amino-substituted donor–acceptor–acceptor (D–A–A) π-system. The thus obtained fluorophores exhibit emission in the near-infrared (NIR) region, while maintaining high fluorescence quantum yields even in polar solvents (e.g. λem = 704 nm and ΦF = 0.69 in CH3CN). A comparison of these compounds with their formyl- or cyano-substituted counterparts demonstrated the importance of the boryl group for generating intense emission. The differences among these electron-accepting substituents were examined in detail using theoretical calculations, which revealed the crucial role of the boryl group in lowering the nonradiative decay rate constant by decreasing the non-adiabatic coupling in the internal conversion process. The D–A–A framework was further fine-tuned to improve the photostability. One of these D–A–A dyes was successfully used in bioimaging to visualize the blood vessels of Japanese medaka larvae and mouse brain.

Combination of electron-accepting diarylboryl terminal groups and dithienophosphole oxide spacers with electron-donating triarylamine moieties produces donor–acceptor–acceptor type π-systems, which exhibit emissions in the near-infrared region.  相似文献

Fluorescent photosensitizers (PSs) often encounter low singlet oxygen (1O2) quantum yields and fluorescence quenching in the aggregated state, mainly involving the intersystem crossing process. Herein, we successfully realize maximizing 1O2 quantum yields of fluorescent PSs through promoting radical-pair intersystem crossing (RP-ISC), which serves as a molecular symmetry-controlling strategy of donor–acceptor (D–A) motifs. The symmetric quadrupolar A–D–A molecule PTP exhibits an excellent 1O2 quantum yield of 97.0% with bright near-infrared fluorescence in the aggregated state. Theoretical and ultrafast spectroscopic studies suggested that the RP-ISC mechanism dominated the formation of the triplet for PTP, where effective charge separation and an ultralow singlet–triplet energy gap (0.01 eV) enhanced the ISC process to maximize 1O2 generation. Furthermore, in vitro and in vivo experiments demonstrated the dual function of PTP as a fluorescent imaging agent and an anti-cancer therapeutic, with promising potential applications in both diagnosis and theranostics.

Organic donor–acceptor (D–A) co-crystals have attracted much interest due to their important optical and electronic properties. Co-crystals having ⋯DADA⋯ π-stacked morphologies are especially interesting because photoexcitation produces a charge-transfer (CT) exciton, D˙+–A˙, between adjacent D–A molecules. Although several studies have reported on the steady-state optical properties of this type of CT exciton, very few have measured the dynamics of its formation and decay in a single D–A co-crystal. We have co-crystallized a peri-xanthenoxanthene (PXX) donor with a N,N-bis(3-pentyl)-2,5,8,11-tetraphenylperylene-3,4:9,10-bis(dicarboximide) (Ph4PDI) acceptor to give an orthorhombic PXX–Ph4PDI ⋯DADA⋯ π-stacked co-crystal with a CT transition dipole moment that is perpendicular to the transition moments for Sn ← S0 excitation of PXX and Ph4PDI. Using polarized, broadband, femtosecond pump–probe microscopy, we have determined that selective photoexcitation of Ph4PDI in the single co-crystal results in CT exciton formation within the 300 fs instrument response time. At early times (0.3 ≤ t ≤ 500 ps), the CT excitons decay with a t−1/2 dependence, which is attributed to CT biexciton annihilation within the one-dimensional ⋯DADA⋯ π-stacks producing high-energy, long-lived (>8 ns) electron–hole pairs in the crystal. These energetic charge carriers may prove useful in applications ranging from photovoltaics and opto-electronics to photocatalysis.

Femtosecond transient absorption microscopy of donor–acceptor single co-crystals shows that photogenerated charge transfer excitons in one-dimensional donor–acceptor π stacks annihilate to produce high-energy, long-lived electrons and holes.  相似文献

It is ideal yet challenging to achieve precise tumor targeting and high-quality imaging guided combined photodynamic and photothermal therapy (PDT and PTT). In this study, we synthesized a series of D–π–A-type single-molecule photosensitizers (CyE-TT, CyQN-TT, and CyQN-BTT) based on quaternized 1,1,2-trimethyl-1H-benz[e]indoles as acceptors by introducing π-bridges to elongate their emission wavelength and triphenylamine as a donor to construct a twisted molecular conformation. We found that the 1O2 generation ability and the photothermal conversion efficiency (PCE) are directly correlated with the π-bridge between donors and acceptors in these molecules. When a 2,1,3-benzothiadiazole group as a π-bridge was introduced into CyQN-BTT, the singlet oxygen yield enhanced to 27.1%, PCE to 37.8%, and the emission wavelength was red-shifted to near-infrared II (NIR-II). Importantly, double-cationic CyQN-BTT displays structure-inherent cancer cell targeting ability instead of targeting normal cells. Consequently, relying on NIR-II fluorescence imaging (NIR-II FLI) and photoacoustic imaging (PAI) guided PDT and PTT, CyQN-BTT can accurately locate solid tumors in mice and effectively eliminate them with good biocompatibility and biosafety to normal tissues. This study provides insights into the design and development of a tumor-specific targeting multifunctional photosensitizer for precise cancer phototherapy.

An D–π–A-type single-molecule photosensitizer with structure-inherent cancer cell targeting ability was developed for NIR-II fluorescence imaging and photoacoustic imaging guided phototherapy to effectively eliminate tumors in mice.  相似文献

How far can we push the limits in removing stereoelectronic protection from an unstable intermediate? We address this question by exploring the interplay between the primary and secondary stereoelectronic effects in the Baeyer–Villiger (BV) rearrangement by experimental and computational studies of γ-OR-substituted γ-peroxylactones, the previously elusive non-strained Criegee intermediates (CI). These new cyclic peroxides were synthesized by the peroxidation of γ-ketoesters followed by in situ cyclization using a BF3·Et2O/H2O2 system. Although the primary effect (alignment of the migrating C–Rm bond with the breaking O–O bond) is active in the 6-membered ring, weakening of the secondary effect (donation from the OR lone pair to the breaking C–Rm bond) provides sufficient kinetic stabilization to allow the formation and isolation of stable γ-hydroperoxy-γ-peroxylactones with a methyl-substituent in the C6-position. Furthermore, supplementary protection is also provided by reactant stabilization originating from two new stereoelectronic factors, both identified and quantified for the first time in the present work. First, an unexpected boat preference in the γ-hydroperoxy-γ-peroxylactones weakens the primary stereoelectronic effects and introduces a ∼2 kcal mol−1 Curtin–Hammett penalty for reacquiring the more reactive chair conformation. Second, activation of the secondary stereoelectronic effect in the TS comes with a ∼2–3 kcal mol−1 penalty for giving up the exo-anomeric stabilization in the 6-membered Criegee intermediate. Together, the three new stereoelectronic factors (inverse α-effect, misalignment of reacting bonds in the boat conformation, and the exo-anomeric effect) illustrate the richness of stereoelectronic patterns in peroxide chemistry and provide experimentally significant kinetic stabilization to this new class of bisperoxides. Furthermore, mild reduction of γ-hydroperoxy-γ-peroxylactone with Ph3P produced an isolable γ-hydroxy-γ-peroxylactone, the first example of a structurally unencumbered CI where neither the primary nor the secondary stereoelectronic effect are impeded. Although this compound is relatively unstable, it does not undergo the BV reaction and instead follows a new mode of reactivity for the CI – a ring-opening process.

Protecting stereoelectronic effects prevent Baeyer–Villiger rearrangement and stabilize γ-OX-γ-peroxylactones (X = H, OH), the previously elusive non-strained Criegee intermediates.  相似文献

We report the synthesis of covalently linked self-assembled monolayers (SAMs) on silicon surfaces, using mild conditions, in a way that is compatible with silicon-electronics fabrication technologies. In molecular electronics, SAMs of functional molecules tethered to gold via sulfur linkages dominate, but these devices are not robust in design and not amenable to scalable manufacture. Whereas covalent bonding to silicon has long been recognized as an attractive alternative, only formation processes involving high temperature and/or pressure, strong chemicals, or irradiation are known. To make molecular devices on silicon under mild conditions with properties reminiscent of Au–S ones, we exploit the susceptibility of thiols to oxidation by dissolved O2, initiating free-radical polymerization mechanisms without causing oxidative damage to the surface. Without thiols present, dissolved O2 would normally oxidize the silicon and hence reaction conditions such as these have been strenuously avoided in the past. The surface coverage on Si(111)–H is measured to be very high, 75% of a full monolayer, with density-functional theory calculations used to profile spontaneous reaction mechanisms. The impact of the Si–S chemistry in single-molecule electronics is demonstrated using STM-junction approaches by forming Si–hexanedithiol–Si junctions. Si–S contacts result in single-molecule wires that are mechanically stable, with an average lifetime at room temperature of 2.7 s, which is five folds higher than that reported for conventional molecular junctions formed between gold electrodes. The enhanced “ON” lifetime of this single-molecule circuit enables previously inaccessible electrical measurements on single molecules.

Spontaneously formed Si–S bonds enable monolayer and single-molecule Si–molecule–Si circuits.  相似文献

As an alternative approach to traditional C–H activation that often involved harsh conditions, and vicinal or primary C–H functionalization, radical relay offers a solution to these long-held problems. Enabled by 1,n (n = 5, 6)-hydrogen atom transfer (HAT), we use a most prevalent moiety, alkene, as the precursor to an sp3 C-centered radical to promote selective cleavage of inert C(sp3)–H bonds for the generation of azidotrifluoromethylated molecules. Mild conditions, broad scope and excellent regioselective control (>20 : 1) are observed in the reactions. Deuterium labelling studies disclose the kinetic characteristics of the transformations and verify a direct 1,n-HAT pathway. The key to this C-centered radical relay is that iron plays a dual role as a radical initiator and terminator to incorporate the azide functionality through radical oxidation via azido–ligand-transfer. The methods and the later derivatization promise expeditious synthesis of CF3-containing organic azides, γ-lactam and triazoles that are widely used in designing new fluorescent tags and functional materials.

Remote functionalization of inert C(sp3)–H bonds is described via iron-catalyzed sp3 C-centered radical relay.  相似文献

Triplet diradicals have attracted tremendous attention due to their promising application in organic spintronics, organic magnets and spin filters. However, very few examples of triplet diradicals with singlet–triplet energy gaps (ΔEST) over 0.59 kcal mol−1 (298 K) have been reported to date. In this work, we first proved that the dianion of 2,7-di-tert-butyl-pyrene-4,5,9,10-tetraone (2,7-tBu2-PTO) was a triplet ground state diradical in the magnesium complex 1 with a singlet–triplet energy gap ΔEST = 0.94 kcal mol−1 (473 K). This is a rare example of stable diradicals with singlet–triplet energy gaps exceeding the thermal energy at room temperature (298 K). Moreover, the iron analog 2 containing the 2,7-tBu2-PTO diradical dianion was isolated, which was the first single-molecule magnet bridged by a diradical dianion. When 2 was doubly reduced to the dianion salt 2K2, single-molecule magnetism was switched off, highlighting the importance of diradicals in single-molecule magnetism.

We report a triplet diradical dianion in magnesium complex with ΔEST = 0.94 kcal mol−1 (473 K). Its iron analog is the first single-molecule magnet bridged by a diradical dianion, and the SMM property is switched off through two-electron reduction.  相似文献

Iron-catalyzed highly regio- and enantioselective organic transformations with generality and broad substrate scope have profound applications in modern synthetic chemistry; an example is herein described based on cis-FeII complexes having metal- and ligand-centered chirality. The cis-β FeII(N4) complex [FeII(L)(OTf)2] (L = N,N′-bis(2,3-dihydro-1H-cyclopenta-[b]quinoline-5-yl)-N,N′-dimethylcyclohexane-1,2-diamine) is an effective chiral catalyst for highly regio- and enantioselective alkylation of N-heteroaromatics with α,β-unsaturated 2-acyl imidazoles, including asymmetric N1, C2, C3 alkylations of a broad range of indoles (34 examples) and alkylation of pyrroles and anilines (14 examples), all with high product yields (up to 98%), high enantioselectivity (up to >99% ee) and high regioselectivity. DFT calculations revealed that the “chiral-at-metal” cis-β configuration of the iron complex and a secondary π–π interaction are responsible for the high enantioselectivity.

A cis-β FeII complex having metal- and ligand-centered chirality catalyzes highly regio- and enantioselective alkylation of indoles (at the N1, C2, or C3 position), pyrroles and anilines with α,β-unsaturated 2-acyl imidazoles (48 examples, up to 99% ee).  相似文献
