Picolinealdehyde salicyloylhydrazone reacts with vanadium(V) to produce a yellow 1:1 complex (λmax = 400 nm, ? = 2.17 × 104 liters · mol?1 cm?1) in aqueous ethanolic solution. The yellow complex can be extracted into chlorobenzene (λmax = 425 nm, ? = 2.16 × 104 liters · mol?1 cm?1) and used for the spectrophotometric determination of trace amounts of vanadium. Interferences have been investigated. The method has been applied to the determination of vanadium in steel and in lead concentrates.  相似文献

2,2′-Dihydroxybenzophenone thiosemicarbazone forms complexes with Cu(II) (λmax = 385 nm, ? = 8.60 × 103 liter · mol?1 · cm?1); Ni(II) (λmax = 380 nm, ? = 15.4 × 103 liter · mol?1 · cm?1); Co(II) (λmax = 380 nm, ? = 12.3 × 103 liter · mol? · cm?1); and Fe(III) (λmax = 365 nm, ? = 7.9 × 103 liter · mol?1 · cm?1) and have been applied to the analysis of these metal ions in binary, ternary, and quaternary mixtures. The determination procedures are based exclusively on the different pH values of the formation complexes, hence the extraction step is not necessary.  相似文献

Abstract

The spectrophotometric study was made of red-violet 1, 3-cyclohexanedione bis-thiosemicarbazone-Bi (III) in an acidic dimethylformamide-water solution (λmax = 540 nm, ? = 3.3 × 10?4 1. mol?1. cm?1, stoichiometry 3:1, apparent stability constant (6.0 × 1010). A new method for the spectrophotometric determination of Bi (III) is proposed for concentrations between 0.7 and 7.4 ppm. The relative error (95 % confidence level) is 0.5 % for 3.7 ppm of Bi (III).

The extraction with methyl isobutyl ketone of the red-violet complex was also studied spectrophotometrically (λmax = 550 nm, ? = 3.34 × 104 1. mol?1.cm?1, stoichiometry 2:1). A new method for the extraction-spectrophotometric determination of Bi (III) is proposed for concentrations, in aqueous phase, between 0.2 and 1.2 ppm. The relative error (95 % confidence level) is 0.8 % for 0.9 ppm of Bi (III).  相似文献

The formation of complexes at pH 4.7 of the Hg(II) with five monothiosemicarbazone and two dithiosemicarbazone has been studied. The mercury(II) reacts with monothiosemicarbazones of salicylaldehyde (λmax = 363 nm, E = 1.69 × 104liters · mol?1cm?1), pi-colinadehyde (λmax = 363 nm, E = 2.38 × 104liters · mol?1cm?1), 6-methyl-picolinaldehyde (λmax = 363 nm, E = 2.28 × 104liters · mol?1cm?1), di-2-pyridylketone (λmax = 380 nm, E = 2.08 × 104liters · mol?1cm?1), and o-naphthoquinone (λmax = 540 nm, E = 1.03 × 104liters · mol?1cm?1) and with dithiosemicarbazones of 1,4-dihydroxyphthalimide (λmax = 430 nm, E = 2.56 × 104liters · mol?1cm?1) and dipyridylglyoxal (λmax = 363 nm, E = 2.37 × 104liters · mol?1cm?1). A critical comparison of the stoichiometry and apparent stability constant of complexes with mono- and dithiosemicarbazones is given.  相似文献

Abstract

The spectrophotometric study of violet complex Anthrapurpurin-Mg(II) in a basic medium and a hydroalcoholic solution was made (δmax - 530 nm., ? = 3.5 × 103 1 mol?1 cm?1, stoichiometry 1:1, apparent constant of stability log K = 9. 26). The complex μ-TEPP-trans-bis[P(OEt)3Ru(NH3)4]2(PF6)4 has been prepared and characterized by microanalysis, vibrational and electronic spectroscopy (λmax=299 nm, ?=6.4 × 102 M?1 cm?1; λmax=262 nm, ?=8.6 × 102 M?1 cm?1), and cyclic voltammetry (E°'=+0.64 V versus S.C.E., 25°, μ=0.10 M NaCf3COO, CH+=1 × 10?3 M). In aqueous solutions, ([H+] > 1 × 10?4 M), the binuclear species undergoes hydrolysis yielding the mononuclear species trans-(Ru(NH3)4P(OEt)3(H2O)]2+ with a specific rate constant of 2.4 × 10?5 sec?1 at 25° δH#=84.5 kJ mol?1; δS#=?49.4 J mol?1 K?1.  相似文献

The synthesis, characteristics and analytical reactions of di-2-pyridyl ketone thiosemicarbazone are described. Diphenylglyoxal bis(2-hydroxybenzoylhydrazone) has been used as a sensitive reagent for the spectrophotometric determination of tin. This reagent forms an orange-yellow complex with stannous ion at pH 3.5–7.0 (λmax = 455 nm, ? = 2.25 × 104 liter mol?1/cm?1 while no reaction is observed with quadrivalent tin. The colored complex extracted into isobutyl methyl ketone has been used for the spectrophotometric determination of trace amounts of tin(II). The molar absorption in the organic solvent is 3.54 × 104 liter mol?1 cm?1 and the compound shows its maximum absorbance at 455 nm. The interferences of foreign ions have been determined.  相似文献

The spectrophotometric study of the complexation reaction between 5,5′methylenedisalicylhydroxamic acid and V(V) shows that two complexes are formed, the 1:1 (? = 5100 liters mol?1 cm?1 at 490 nm, log Kest = 5.8 ± 0.1) and the 1:2 (L:V) (? = 6250 liters mol?1 cm?1 at 600 nm, log Kest = 6.1 ± 0.1). A spectrophotometric method is developed for the determination of vanadium (2–9 ppm) at 2 N HCl and 495 nm, which allows its determination in petroleum crude oils with a series of advantages over the ASTM D-1548-63 method.  相似文献

The structure of styryl dye, 2-[(E)-2-(4-dipropylaminophenyl)-1-ethenyl]-1,3,3-trimethyl-3H-indolium chloride (I), was investigated using methods such as UV-VIS, fluorescence spectroscopy, and NMR (1H, 13C, APT, HMQC, COSY) and also by examining its electrochemical properties. A study of the acid-base properties revealed the existence of three different forms of the dye. The mechanisms of protolysis and hydrolysis are discussed. The reagent exists in a reactive single-charged form I + over a wide range of acidity (pH 4–11). The optimum analytical wavelength of the singlecharged form is 550 nm, where the molar absorptivity is 5.51 × 104 L mol?1 cm?1. The values of the optimum analytical wavelength and molar absorptivity of the protolysed and hydrolysed forms are: λ max(I-H2+) = 380 nm, ?(I-H2+) = 2.01 × 104 L mol?1 cm?1; λ max(I-OH) = 320 nm, ?(I-OH) = 1.12 × 104 L mol?1 cm?1. A theoretical study of the spectral and chemical properties of I was carried out by performing quantum chemical calculations.  相似文献

3-(2′-Thiazolylazo)-2,6-diaminopyridine reacts with palladium(II) in strongly perchloric acid media, to produce a blue 1:1 complex (λmax = 665 nm, ? = 1.37 × 104 liters · mol?1 · cm?1), which allows the spectrophotometric determination of 0.6 to 4.5 ppm of palladium. Nitrite is diazotised with p-nitroaniline in hydrochloric acid and coupled with 8-quinolinol in alkaline medium to give a purple azo dye (λmax = 550 nm, ? = 3.88 × 104 l mol-1 cm-1). Extraction of the dye into 3-methyl-1-butanol shifts the absorption maximum to 570 nm and improves the apparent molar absorptivity to 5.852 × 104 l mol-1 cm-1. Beer's law is obeyed for 0.01–0.06 ppm nitrite. The Sandell sensitivity is 0.00078 μg cm-2. The method is applicable to polluted waters.  相似文献

The reversible dimerisation of o-phenylenedioxydimethylsilane (2,2-dimethyl-1,3,2-benzodioxasilole) has been studied by 1H NMR spectroscopy. The kinetics of this reaction can be described quantitatively by a bimolecular 10-ring formulation reaction and a monomolecular backreaction. The thermodynamic and kinetic parameters are: ΔH0 = ?43 kJ mol?1; ΔS0 = ?112 J mol?1 K?1; ΔG0298 = ?9.6 kJ mol?1; ΔH3298 = 57 kJ mol?1; ΔS3298 = ?129 J mol?1 K?1; ΔG3298 = 96 kJ mol?1; Ea = 60 kJ mol?1; A = 3.17 × 106 l mol?1 s?1. Remarkable is the low activation energy of formation of the ten-membered ring, considering that two SiO bonds have to be cleaved during the reaction. The Reaction of Iron(III) with Catechol-3,5-Disulphonic Acid (Tiron) and Ethylene Diamine-Tetracetic Acid In the system iron(III)-Tiron-EDTA a ternary chelate could be detected besides the well known complexes in a weak acid solution. By means of spectro-photometric measurements under various conditions (concentration of ligands) we found [FeHYL]4? with λmax = 555 nm und ε555 = 2500 l · mol?1 · cm?1. The formation of the ternary chelate is an inner-complex reaction of displacing, in which donor atoms of the EDTA in FeY? are replaced by Tiron. As a novel ultraviolet (UV) absorbent with excellent performance in UVA section (320 ~ 400 nm), 2‐{2‐hydroxy‐4‐[(octyloxycarbonyl)ethylideneoxy]phenyl}‐4,6‐Bis(4‐biphenylyl)‐1,3,5‐triazine (CGL‐479) was synthesized in a simple method with a total yield of 45.3% in four steps. Its outstanding UV absorption capability (λmax = 326 nm, εmax = 4.15 × 104 L?mol?1?cm?1), high thermostability [T5 (the temperature of losing 5% in weight) = 385 °C], and compatibility with polymer materials make it a potential substitute of the traditional UV absorbents.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

A simple and very sensitive method for the determination of formaldehyde is described. Formaldehyde reacts with phloroglucinol in acid medium producing a yellow dye with λmax at 435nm. The method is useful for the determination of formaldehyde in the range 0-2.5μg in an overall volume of 10mL with molar absorptivity of 8.3 × 1041 mol?1 cm?1 and a relative standard deviation of 2% at 1.5μg level (n=10).  相似文献
