Abstract

The stability constants determined experimentally were correlated with Gibbs energies of ion—ligand interaction on the electrostatic level. Total charges on individual ligand atoms were calculated using the extended Hückel method (EHT). The inductive effect of the methyl group caused an increase of the stability constants for the macrotetrolides.  相似文献

Alkali metal alkoxides can be formed by the direct reaction of alkali metals with the corresponding alcohol. Under certain conditions, however, these reactions become dangerous. One of the reasons for the instability build-up in the reaction mixture is related to the electrochemical behaviour of the heterogeneous medium. Another reason is the instability introduced by the simultaneous presence of oxygen and alkali metal atoms in the reagents. Accelerating rate calorimetry is an excellent way to determine safe working conditions for the handling of such compounds. Electronic properties of series of alkali metals complexes with crown ethers and cryptands were studied via DFT hybrid functionals. For [M([2.2.2]crypt)] (M=Li, Na, K) extremely low (1.70–1.52 eV) adiabatic ionization potentials were found. Such low values of ionization energies are significantly lower than those of alkali metal atoms. Thus, the investigated complexes can be defined as superalkalis. As a result, our investigation opens up new directions in the designing of chemical species with record low ionization potentials and extends the explanation of the ability of the cryptates and alkali crown ether complexes to stabilize multiple charged Zintl ions.  相似文献

Desferrioxamine (DFO) is the current “gold standard” chelator for 89Zr4+, which is used to label monoclonal antibodies for applications in immunopositron emission tomography. Recently, controversial data have been reported regarding the speciation and the stability of the complexes formed by DFO with Zr4+ in solution. To shed some light on this point, we studied the coordination properties in solution ofa chromophoric DFO derivative bearing a substituted pyrimidine residue (DFOPm) toward several metal ions (Zr4+, Cu2+, Zn2+, Mg2+, Ca2+, Na+, K+). Potentiometric titrations showed that DFOPm and pristine DFO form complexes with very similar stoichiometry and stability. DFOPm, which can consequently be taken as a model system for DFO, provides a photochemical response to metal coordination that can be used to further define the complexes formed. In the critical case of Zr4+, spectrophotometric measurements allowed the verification of the formation of 1:1 and 2:3 complexes that, together with 2:2 complexes form the coordination model that was obtained through the use of our potentiometric measurements. Additionally, mass spectrometry measurements verified the formation of 1:1 and 2:3 complexes and showed that 1:2 species can be easily generated through the fragmentation of the 2:3 species. In conclusion, the results obtained with DFOPm validate the complexation model of Zr4+/DFO composed of 1:1, 2:2, and 2:3 metal-to-ligand complexes. Convergences and conflicts with other works are addressed.  相似文献

Reactions of 1,3-diisopropylcarbodiimide with alkali metal amides, MN(SiMe3)2 (M=Li or Na) in hexane or THF produced the alkali metal guanidinates { (i-PrN)2C [N(SiMe3)2]Li }2 (1) and { (i-PrN)2C[N(SiMe3)2]Na(THF) } 2 (2) in nearly quantitative yields. Both complexes 1 and 2 were well characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectra, ^1H and ^13C NMR spectra, and X-ray diffraction. It was found that the guanidinates adopt different coordination modes in these complexes.  相似文献

The adsorptions of a series of alkali metal(AM) atoms, Li, Na, K, Rb and Cs, on a Si(001)-2×2 surface at 0.25 monolayer coverage have been investigated systematically by means of density functional theory calculations. The effects of the size of AM atoms on the Si(001) surface are focused in the present work by examining the most stable adsorption site, diffusion path, band structure, charge transfer, and the change of work function for different adsorbates. Our results suggest that, when the interactions among AM atoms are neglectable, these AM atoms can be divided into three classes. For Li and Na atoms, they show unique site preferences, and correspond to the strongest and weakest AM–Si interactions, respectively. In particular, the band structure calculation indicates that the nature of Li–Si interaction differs significantly from others. For the adsorptions of other AM atoms with larger size(namely, K, Rb and Cs), the similarities in the atomic and electronic structures are observed, implying that the atom size has little influence on the adsorption behavior for these large AM atoms on the Si(001) surface.  相似文献

An equilibrium study concerning the association of Na+, K+, Rb+ and Cs+ with 4, 7, 13, 18-tetraoxa-1,10-diazabicyclo [8, 5, 5]-eicosane [211], 4, 7, 13, 16, 21-pentaoxa-1, 10-diazabicyclo [8, 8, 5]-tricosane [221] and 4, 13-didecyl-1, 7, 10, 16-tetraoxa-4, 13-diazacyclooctadecane [22-DD] in acetonitrile has been carried out at 25 °C by using a conductometric technique. The observed molar conductivity, Λ, of a test solution was found to decrease significantly for mole ratios less than 1:1 upon the addition of the complexing ligand. A model based on 1:1 stoichiometry has been used to analyze the conductivity data. The data have been fitted according to a non-linear least-squares analysis that provides the stability constant, K, and the molar conductivity, Λc, for each cation – ligand inclusion complex. The binding sequences were found to follow the order: Na+ > K+ > Rb+ ≫ Cs+ (K ≈ 0) for [211], Na+ > K+ > Rb+ > Cs+ for [221] and K+ > Na+ > Rb+ > Cs+ for [22-DD] complexes. Trends in ionic conductivities of complexed ions are also discussed.  相似文献

The cadmium(Ⅱ)-glycinamide system was modeled and its stability constants were calculated by a unified mathematical treatment for experimental data obtained from ion selective electrode (ISE) and differential pulse polarography (DPP). It has been shown that very much the same experimental complex formation curve (ECFC) and theoretical complex formation curve (TCFC) could be given from both experimental techniques for the same experimental conditions, such as the same total ligand c(LT) and metal ion c(MT) concentrations. The combination of the two techniques is of many advantages as ISE can be performed at low a c(LT)∶c(MT) ratio and significantly higher c(MT), whereas DPP could be used well at larger the c(LT)∶c(MT) ratio and very low c(MT). This makes it possible to study a metal-ligand system in much broader range of experimental conditions that, in turn, provides us more data and information about the metal-ligand system of interest. Application of the unified mathematical treatment to the cadmium-glycinamide system in this paper, three new complexes MHL, ML3 and ML3(OH) as well as two complexes ML and ML2, reported in literatures, could be modeled and all their stability constants have been refined.  相似文献

研究了非抑制型阳离子交换色谱中色谱柱温度(25~50℃)对碱金属离子(Li+、Na+、K+、Rb+)和碱土金属离子(Mg2+、Ca2+、Sr2+)以及NH4+保留的影响。在Shim-pack IC-C1磺酸型阳离子交换柱上,以硝酸为流动相分离碱金属离子,以乙二胺或乙二胺-草酸(柠檬酸)为流动相分离碱土金属离子,随着色谱柱温度的升高,碱金属和碱土金属离子的保留时间均增长,其范特霍夫曲线具有良好的线性关系,斜率为负值,表明在此条件下碱金属和碱土金属离子的保留为吸热过程。在Shim-pack IC-SC1羧酸型阳离子交换柱上,以硫酸为流动相同时分离碱金属和碱土金属离子,随着色谱柱温度的升高,Mg2+、Ca2+的保留时间增长,而K+、Rb+的保留时间缩短,Li+、Na+、NH4+的保留时间基本不变。在此条件下,Mg2+、Ca2+、K+和Rb+的范特霍夫曲线具有良好的线性关系,其中Mg2+和Ca2+的曲线斜率为负值,K+和Rb+的曲线斜率为正值,表明Mg2+和Ca2+的保留表现为吸热过程,K+和Rb+的保留表现为放热过程。研究表明在不同固定相和流动相条件下,色谱柱温度对碱金属和碱土金属离子保留行为的影响不同。  相似文献

本文叙述用单色酸碱指示剂对-硝基酚直接光度测定减卤晶体中OH~-的方法,确定光度测定的条件:吸收峰波长、试剂浓度、稳定性、盐效应等。本法操作简单,灵敏度高(5×10~(-6)wt%)、重现性好(相对偏差<1×10~(-5)wt%),完全适用于碱卤化合物中ppm级以下氢氧根浓度的测定。  相似文献

Metformin has been used for decades in millions of type 2 diabetes mellitus patients. In this time, correlations between metformin use and the occurrence of other disorders have been noted, as well as unpredictable metformin side effects. Diabetes is a significant cancer risk factor, but unexpectedly, metformin-treated diabetic patients have lower cancer incidence. Here, we show that metformin forms stable complexes with copper (II) ions. Both copper(I)/metformin and copper(II)/metformin complexes form adducts with glutathione, the main intracellular antioxidative peptide, found at high levels in cancer cells. Metformin reduces cell number and viability in SW1222 and K562 cells, as well as in K562-200 multidrug-resistant cells. Notably, the antiproliferative effect of metformin is enhanced in the presence of copper ions.  相似文献

Stability constants K ML for the 1:1 complexes of Na+, K+, Rb+, and Cs+ with dibenzo-24-crown-8 (DB24C8) and dibenzo-18-crown-6 (DB18C6) in water have been determined by a capillary electrophoretic technique at 25°C. The K ML sequence is Na+ < K+ < Rb+ < Cs+ for DB24C8 and Na+ < K+ > Rb+ > Cs+ for DB18C6. Compared with DB18C6, DB24C8 exhibits higher selectivity for K+ over Na+, but lower selectivity for K+, Rb+, and Cs+. To evaluate the solvation of the complexes in water, their transfer activity coefficients sH2O between polar nonaqueous solvents and water have been calculated. The sH2O values provide the following information: interactions with water of the metal ions and of the crown-ether oxygens are greatly reduced upon complexation and the complexes undergo hydrophobic hydration in water; the character of each alkali metal ion in solvation is more effectively masked by DB24C8 than by DB18C6, because of the larger and more flexible ring structure of DB24C8. Solvent effects on the complex stabilities are discussed on the basis of the sH2O values.  相似文献

The benchmark inclusion complexes formed by α‐cyclodextrin (αCD) with alkali‐metal cations are investigated under isolated conditions in the gas phase. The relative αCD‐M+ (M=Li+, Na+, K+, Cs+) binding affinities and the structure of the complexes are determined from a combination of mass spectrometry, infrared action spectroscopy and quantum chemical computations. Solvent‐free laser desorption measurements reveal a trend of decreasing stability of the isolated complexes with increasing size of the cation guest. The experimental infrared spectra are qualitatively similar for the complexes with the four cations investigated, and are consistent with the binding of the cation within the primary face of the cyclodextrin, as predicted by the quantum computations (B3LYP/6‐31+G*). The inclusion of the quantum‐chemical cation disrupts the C6 symmetry of the free cyclodextrin to provide the optimum coordination of the cations with the ‐CH2OH groups in C1, C2 or C3 symmetry arrangements that are determined by the size of the cation.  相似文献

The thermal stability of metal complexes immobilized on the surface of silica and its connection with the catalytic activity in the oxidation of hydrogen were investigated. High catalytic activity was exhibited by heterogenized platinum and palladium acetylacetonate near room temperatures in the initial state and by γ-aminopropylsilicas treated with platinum and palladium complexes. The catalytic activity of the metal complexes correlates with their thermal stability and with the ability to undergo oxidation to a metal state with high valence. 在正常毛细管温度(200 ℃)下,利用电喷雾质谱(ESI-MS)研究了NaNO3、KNO3、NaNO2和KNO2形成的新型簇合物离子,采用电喷雾多级串联质谱(ESI-MSn)研究了簇合物离子裂解行为.实验结果表明: NaNO3和KNO3溶液产生的簇合物离子及这些离子的裂解方式相似;NaNO2溶液产生的簇合物离子比NaNO3和KNO3溶液产生的复杂;KNO2溶液产生了含有Na+离子的簇合物离子,通过分析KNO2簇合物离子的裂解行为证明了Na+与NO-2的亲合势大于K+.此外,还研究了离子源金属毛细管温度和溶液浓度对簇合物离子形成的影响.  相似文献

用草酸为淋洗液的单柱离子色谱法同时测定了碱金属、铵离子和胺类。淋洗液的最佳浓度为4.0mmol/L,在此条件下测得了碱金属、铵离子和胺类的检出限、相对标准偏差和工作曲线方程,应用于自来水、井水、汽水和雪样分析,结果良好。  相似文献
