Abstract

The uranyl-alizarin fluorine blue chelate complex shows an absorption peak at 560 nm, 30 nm higher than that of any other single metal complex of the reagent. The complex shows, at pH 4.5, a conditional stability constant of 2.3 × 106 litres mole?1 and molar absorptivity of 4100 litres mole?1 cm?1. Study of the feasibility of using this reaction for the photometric determination of Uo2 +2 in both one and two liquid phase systems reveals serious interference from other metal ions.  相似文献

Abstract

The sensitizing effect of spectroscopic probe and microemulsion media on the determination of serum albumin by spectrometry was developed. The main factors affecting the determination were investigated in detail. The results showed that serum albumin reacted with spectroscopic probe Al(III)‐CAS to form a blue complex at pH=3.0 in the p‐octyl polyethyleneglycolphenyether microemulsion (Triton X‐100‐M). The λmax=641 nm, and Beer's law was obeyed in the range of 0.0 and 35.0 µg · ml?1 for bovine serum albumin (BSA). The sensitizing effect of spectroscopic probe in Triton X‐100-M microemulsion was higher than that in aqueous media. The proposed method has been used to determine protein in serum with satisfactory results.  相似文献

Abstract

A sensitive and selective method for the extraction and spectrophotometric determination of Zr(IV) with N-p-chlorophenyl-3,4-,5-trimethoxycinnamohydroxamic acid (PTCHA) has been developed. The binary complex of Zr(IV)-PTCHA is extracted from 2–6 M HCl into chloroform, having a maximum absorbance at 385 nm; molar absorptivity 2.1 × 104 1 mol?1 cm?1. A ternary complex with xylenol orange (Zr-PTCHA-XO) have been studied in chloroform-ethanol media, which absorbs at 540 nm; molar absorptivity 4.3 × 104 1 mol?1 cm?1. The present method is applied for the analysis of zirconium in standard samples.  相似文献

Abstract

A highly selective spectrophotometric method for the determination of aqueous sulfite was developed. Sulfite was found to react with o-phthaldialdehyde in presence of ammonia yielding a deep blue colored complex the absorbance of which is sensitive to trace sulfite concentrations. The method is simple, very sensitive, and convenient for the determination of as little as 5X10?6 M sulfite. The molar absorptivity of the colored complex is about 1.2X104 L cm?1 mol?1. The proposed method is more sensitive and selective for sulfite than the widely used Ellman reagent method. Absorbance is measured at 628 nm which is the best of the two absorption maxima that are exhibited by the compound.  相似文献

Abstract

The reaction between titanium(IV) and 3,4-dihydroxybenzoic acid in aqueous media results in an intensely colored complex which is stable for at least 8h. It allows the spectrophotometric determination of titanium in silicate rocks. The proposed method, in pH 4.0–6.0, shows a molar absorptivity of 1.43.104 L.mole?1.cm?1 at 380 nm. Beer's Law is obeyed up to 3.0 μg/mL of titanium(IV). The interference of iron(III) can be eliminated by reduction to iron(II) with hydroxylamine hydrochloride. The method was applied to the determination of titanium in various standard rocks and the results indicated that the accuracy and precision are satisfatory.  相似文献

A new spectrophotometric method for the determination of gallium with chromal blue G in the presence of cetyltrimethylammonium chloride is described. The sensitivity of color reaction between gallium and chromal blue G is greatly increased by the sensitizing action of cetyltrimethylammonium chloride. The gallium complex has maximal absorbance at 662 nm and pH 6.2–6.8. Beer's law is obeyed over the range 0.04–0.6 ppm of gallium. The molar absorptivity of the complex is 1.44 × 105 liters mol?1 cm?1 at 662 nm, and the spectrophotometric sensitivity is 4.8 × 10?4 μg Ga cm?2. The mole ratio of gallium and chromal blue G in the complex is estimated to be 1:4. The formation constant and effect of interfering ions are described.  相似文献

Abstract

A sensitive and selective method has been developed for the spectrophotometric determination of antimony in the tervalent oxidation state. It was found that antimony (III) reacts with mandelic acid to form a complex anion extractable into chlorobenzene with malachite green in weak acidic media (pH 2.2 to 3.5) at room temperature and is determined indirectly by measuring the absorbance of malachite green in the extract at 628 nm. The calibration graph is linear for antimony (III) over the range 0.088–1.8 mg 1?1 (7.2 × 10?7–1.5 × 10?5 mol 1?1) with the apparent molar absorptivity ε × 6.9 × 104 1 mol?1 cm?1. Antimony (V) was slightly extracted in the presence of phosphate buffer with ε × 2.7 × 103 1 mol?1 cm?1.  相似文献

A procedure is described in which gold(III) is quantitatively extracted with an amidine into chloroform over the acidity range pH 3.0–11.0 M HCl, followed by its selective spectrophotometric determination by interaction of the extract with methylene blue in the pH range 3.0–9.0. The molar absorptivity of the coloured complex formed by extraction with ten different amidines and methylene blue reaction lie in the range 1.1 × 104?6.5 × 104 1 mol?1 cm?1 at λmax (650 nm) in chloroform. The simplest compound, N, N′-diphenylbenzamidine, was chosen for detailed study. The limit of detection is 5 μg Au l?1. The method is free from interferences from the metals that are generally associated with gold. The method is simple, reproducible and applicable to the accurate recovery of gold from low-grade ores containing the metal at levels of > 1.5 μg g?1.  相似文献

Abstract

A highly sensitive spectrophotometric method for determination of palladium by the new chromogenic reagent (BPT) has been developed. In the presence of cetyltrimethylammonium bromide(CTMAB), palladium reacts with BPT to form a stable yellow complex in HAc-NaAc buffer solution of pH 4.6-5.6 at 294.4 nm with a molar absorptivity of 2.46 x 105 l mol?1 cm?1. The method is simple, rapid and sensitive. Trace amounts of palladium in mineral and catalyst samples have been satisfactorily determined by the method.  相似文献

Abstract

Isonitroso-4-methyl-2-pentanone (HIMP) is proposed as a new reagent for extraction and photometric determination of Pd(II). The reagent forms a yellow complex with palladium in the pH range 4.0-5.0. The complex extracted into chloroform was measured at 330 nm. The molar absorptivity was found to be 5.37 × 103 1 mol?1 cm?1 and Sandell's sensitivity 20 ng cm?2 Beer's law was obeyed over the concentration range 0.1-10.0 μg/ml of palladium. The method is applicable for palladium estimation in Ores and catalysts.  相似文献

Abstract

A simple, sensitive and selective method for the determination of microamounts of arsenic (III) in the environment is described. Arsenic forms a yellow coloured complex with N-phenylbenzo-hydroxamic acid (PBHA) at pH 4.5-5.2 which can be extracted from chloroform. The effective molar absorptivity of As-PBHA extract is 1.1 × 1mol?1cm?1 at 410 nm. Many common ions associated with arsenic do not interfere. The effect of pH, reagent concentration and solvent is described. The arsenic in trace quantities is estimated in the industrial effluents, soil and glass samples.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

Propofol is coupled with 2, 6-dichloroquinone-4-chlorimide (DCQ) in a reaction buffered at pH 9.6 to give a colored product having an analytically useful maximum at 635 nm. The factors affecting the color generation were optimized and incorporated in the procedure. The reacted propofol has a molar absorptivity of 3.9 × 10?4 L mol?1 cm?1, and Beer's law is obeyed for concentrations 1-5 μg ml?1 with detection limit 0.25 μg ml?1. The method was found applicable to biological fluids (plasma and urine) spiked with propofol at concentration levels 1-5 μg ml?1 for plasma and 1-5 μg 0.5 ml?1 urine (less sensitivity is obtained with urine volumes above 0.5 ml) with detection limits 0.28 μg ml?1 for plasma and 0.4 μg 0.5 ml?1 urine. The average recovery for the commercial preparation (1% w/v propofol emulsion intravenous injection for infusion) was 99.54% with an RSD of 1.05%. The method was validated by an adopted HPLC method. The results obtained by the HPLC method for the commercial preparation were statistically compared with the proposed method and evaluated at the 95% confidence limits.  相似文献

Abstract

The color reaction between Xylenol orange (XO), zirconium (IV) and fluoride ions in the presence of various surfactants alone or in combination was studied at various pH. The XO -zirconium)IV)-fluoride ion ternary complex in mixed micellar media containing a low concentration of N-hexadecylpyridinium chloride (HPC) as a cationic surfactant and large amounts of (poly{oxyethylene)dodecyl ether (Brij 35) as a nonionic surfactant at weakly acidic media was found to be the most stable, and showed a remarkable bathochromic shift and clear contrast against a reagent blank. The maximum absorbance was at 600 nm in the mixed micellar media at pH 3.5, and the apparent molar absorptivities at 600 nm were 7.0 × 104 1 mol?1 cm?1 for zirconium(IV) and 1.4 × 104 1 mol?1 cm?1 for fluoride ion. The calibration curves covered the ranges of 0.5 ~ 20.0 μg/10 ml zirconium! IV) and 0 ~ 20.0 μg/10 ml fluoride ion with the Sandell sensitivities being 0.0013 μg/cm2 for zirconium(IV) and 0.0016 μg/cm2 for fluoride ion.  相似文献

Abstract

A simple, sensitive, and direct spectrophotometric method has been developed for the assay of sparfloxacin in bulk and pharmaceutical preparations. The proposed method is based on the formation of ternary complex between an investigated drug, palladium(II) ion and eosin in the presence of methylcellulose as surfactant and acetate buffer of pH 4.2. Spectrophotometrically, under the optimum conditions, the ternary complex showed absorption maximum at 550 nm, with apparent molar absorptivity of 2.69×104 l mol?1 cm?1, Sandell's sensitivity of 0.01458 µg ml?1 and linearity in the concentration range 1.6–16 µg ml?1. The composition of the ternary complex was studied by Job's method of continuous variation and the result indicated that the molar ratio of SPFX: Pd: eosin is 1∶1∶1. The optimum reaction conditions and other analytical parameters are evaluated. The proposed method was successfully applied for the determination of SPFX in its pharmaceutical product with mean percentage recoveries of 99.71%. The observed data has been subjected to statistical analysis, which revealed high accuracy and precision.  相似文献

Abstract

Two acid dye reagents have been utilized for spectrophotometric determination of triamterene in pure form and in pharmaceutical preparations. The dyes used are bromophenol blue (B. P. B), and bromothymol blue (B. T. S. They form a chloroform-soluble, coloured ion association complex with triamterene, at pH 3.4 and 3.2 using B. P. B and B. T. B, respectively. The formed complex could be extracted and measured spectrophotometrically at 417 nm for both dyes. The molar ratio of the formed drug-dye ion association complex is found to be 1:1 for both dyes used, as deduced by applying Job's method. Linearity was obtained using concentration ranges of 2.5–10 μg, and 2.5–15 μg. ml?1 of triamterene with B. P. B. and B. T. B. respectively. The validity of the procedure was assessed by applying the standard addition technique. Results obtained by using the proposed procedure were statistically analysed and compared with those obtained by adopting the pharmacopoeial method.  相似文献

Abstract

A spectrophotometric study of the Pd(II) complex of a reagent 2-(5-Bromo-2-Pyridylazo)-5-(diethylamino)-Phenol (5-Br-PADAP) is presented. A violet complex is formed at pH 3.53, and shows maximal absorbance at 585 nm with molar absorptivity of 3.86 × 104 1. mol?1 cm?1. Beer's law is obeyed up to 50 μ of Pd(II). The method offers the advantages of simplicity, high precision, requires no extraction and is very selective, where 5.0 mg Pt(VI) and 0.3 mg Au(III) ions do not interfere.  相似文献

Nickel(II) and bromazepam (LH) form a colorless complex in acid and slightly alkaline media, and another yellow one at pH values greater than 11. The influence of pH as well as the stoichiometry of both complexes was studied. Assuming Ni(LH)32+ and NiL3? complexes, pK values of 14.5 and 17.6 were respectively found. A spectrophotometric method is proposed for the determination of Ni as the Ni(LH)32+ complex (acid medium), a molar absorptivity of 2.02 × 104 liters · mol ?1 · cm?1 being calculated.  相似文献

Abstract

A simple, rapid and sensitive spectrophotometric method has been developed for the determination of saccharin using azure C. Saccharin reacts quantitatively with azure C in citric acid buffer forming a blue product. The blue product can be extracted into chloroform, Beer's law is valid over the concentration range 3–75 ppm of saccharin and the molar absorptivity is 3.1 × 103 1 mol?1 cm?1. Reasonable amounts of ingredients that are likely to be present in soft drinks and pharmaceuticals do not interfere. Recoveries of saccharin from soft drinks and pharmaceuticals were satisfactory.  相似文献
