Abstract

Hafnium(IV) reacts with 2-(5-bromo-2-pyridylazo)-5-diethylaminophenol in the pH range 3.3–11.0 to yield a sparingly soluble red-coloured chelate that can be dissolved with Triton X-100. Effect of initial pH of metal ion and order of addition of reagents was studied in detail. The 1:3 complex adheres to Beer's law over the concentration range 0.02–1.12 μg/ml of Hf(IV), has a molar absorptivity 1.33x105 1 mol?1cm?1, Sandell sensitivity 1.3 ng cm?2, formation constant (log K) 11.94 and the method had a relative standard deviation of ± 1.5%. Effect of 60 diverse ions on the determination of hafnium(IV) was studied. This fairly selective method is the most sensitive so far reported for the spectrophotometric determination of hafnium(IV).  相似文献

Abstract

A spectrophotometric study of the Pd(II) complex of a reagent 2-(5-Bromo-2-Pyridylazo)-5-(diethylamino)-Phenol (5-Br-PADAP) is presented. A violet complex is formed at pH 3.53, and shows maximal absorbance at 585 nm with molar absorptivity of 3.86 × 104 1. mol?1 cm?1. Beer's law is obeyed up to 50 μ of Pd(II). The method offers the advantages of simplicity, high precision, requires no extraction and is very selective, where 5.0 mg Pt(VI) and 0.3 mg Au(III) ions do not interfere.  相似文献

Abstract

An extraction-spectrophotometric method for the determination of trace amounts of iron based on its extraction into chloroform with 2-(4, 5-dimethyl-2-thiazolylazo)-4, 6-dimethylphenol has been developed, which allows the determination of 5–28 μg Fe (?773 = 1.38×104 1. mol?1. cm?1). The use of second order analogue derivative spectrophotometry allows the determination of down to 0.2–5 μg, Fe. The methods are quite selective and have been applied to the determination of iron in mineral waters.  相似文献

Abstract

Herein, we describe a one-pot synthesis of some novel 2-(3-alkyl/aryl-5-trifluoromethylpyrazol-1-yl)-4-(coumarin-3-yl)thiazoles (6) involving the reaction of 3-alkyl/aryl-5-hydroxy-5-trifluoromethyl-4,5-dihydropyrazole-1-thiocarboxamides (3) with 3-bromoacetylcoumarins (5) in the presence of sodium carbonate in ethanol. Reaction of 3 with 5 in the absence of sodium carbonate, however, resulted in the formation of 2-(3-alkyl/aryl-5-hydroxy-5-trifluoromethyl-4,5-dihydropyrazol-1-yl)-4-(coumarin-3-yl)thiazoles, which were subsequently dehydrated to 6 by refluxing in ethanol in the presence of sodium carbonate. The structure of the synthesized compounds (6) was confirmed by infrared (IR), mass, 1H NMR, and 13C NMR spectra and elemental analysis data. Newly synthesized compounds (6) showed moderate to good activity against Gram-positive bacteria.  相似文献

Abstract

The reaction between lead(II) and 2-(2-Thiazolylazo)-p-Cresol(TAC) in the presence of TERGITOL NPX (4 mg/ml) at an apparent pH 9.0–10.0 results in an intensely colored complex which is stable for at least 4 hr.

The composition of the complex is 1:2 cation: TAC and the log of the formation constant is 11.92 ± 0. 40. Beer's law is obeyed up to 6.0μg.ml?1 of lead(II) at 650nm.

The apparent molar absorptivity at 650 nm is 2.07 × 104 1. mole?1.cm?1 and the detection limit was obtained as 10.0 ng.ml?1 of lead(II).

The method is applied to determination of lead(II) in copper-base alloy.  相似文献

The bidentate benzimidazolic hpbm (1), [2-(2-hydroxyphenyl)-1H-benzimidazole], was obtained under mild conditions, and its corresponding metal complexes, di-µ-oxo dimanganese(IV,IV) [Mn2O2(hpbm)4 · 2Py · 5H2O] (2), and mononuclear complex [Co(hpbm)2] (3), were prepared and characterized. The crystal structures of 2 and 3 have been established by X-ray diffraction. Complex 2 consists of two six-coordinate manganese(IV) coordinated to two hpbm ligands and bridged by two O2? with a Mn–Mn distance of 2.777 Å. For 3, a Co(II) is coordinated to two deprotonated hpbm in a nearly tetrahedral environment. Hydrogen bonds play pivotal roles in constructing the dimensional structures of both the compounds.  相似文献

An extraction-spectrophotometric method is described for the determination of traces of iron(II) with 2-[2-(3,5-dibromopyridyl)azo]-5-diethyl-aminobenzoic acid. The reagent forms a stable and blue 12 iron/reagent complex that can be extracted into chloroform. The apparent molar absorptivity of the iron(II) complex is 1.09 × 105 1 mol–1 cm–1 at 624 nm in chloroform. The reagent is relatively selective; interferences from cobalt, copper, nickel and vanadium can be removed by using dimethylglyoxime and EDTA. The method is applied to the determination of iron (II) in sea water and aluminium alloys with good precision and accuracy.  相似文献

Two new coordination supramolecular complexes based on a versatile and unsymmetrical 5-(4-pyridyl)-1,3,4-oxadiazole-2-thione (Hpot) and MnII and NiII have been synthesized and structurally characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. Reaction of MnCl2?· 4H2O with Hpot afforded a neutral mononuclear complex [Mn(pot)2(H2O)4]?·?2H2O (1), which exhibits a three-dimensional (3-D) supramolecule through versatile intermolecular O–H?···?X (X=O, N and S) hydrogen bond interactions. When using NiCl2?·?6H2O instead of MnCl2?· 4H2O under similar reaction conditions, a neutral mononuclear complex [Ni(pot)2(H2O)4] (2) is also obtained, which does not exhibit intermolecular hydrogen bonds and π–π stacking interactions. It is very interesting that the pot anion exhibits different coordination modes in complexes 1 and 2. The IR spectra and the TGA for 1 and 2 have been investigated and discussed in detail.  相似文献

The phosphonomethylhydrazide 2a reacts with N-acylated imidates 3a–d to give the corresponding 5-aryl (or 5-benzyl)-2-[(1-diethoxyphosphonyl)methyl]-1,3,4-oxadiazoles 4a–d after the elimination of ethanamide 5. Compounds 2a–e are prepared by the action of triethyl phosphonoacetate 1 with hydrazine and its derivatives. The structures of 1,3,4-oxadiazoles 4a–d and hydrazides 2a–e have been unequivocally confirmed by means of IR, 1 H, 13 C, 31 P NMR and mass spectrometry.  相似文献

Reactions of Zn(II) salts, 5-(4-(1H-imidazol-1-yl)phenyl)-1H-tetrazolate (HIPT) and 2-mercaptobenzoic acid or 2-propyl-1H-imidazole-4,5-dicarboxylic acid (H3PrIDC), result in two mixed-ligand coordination polymers (CPs), [Zn2(IPT)(DSDB)(OH)]n (H2DSDB = 2,2′-disulfanediyldibenzoic acid, 1) and [Zn2(IPT)(PrIDC)(H2O)]n (H3PrIDC = 2-propyl-1H-imidazole-4,5-dicarboxylic acid, 2). Compound 1 possesses a 2-D structure built by 1-D [Zn(IPT)]n chains and DSDB2? connectors, in which the DSDB2? is generated via in situ reaction from 2-mercaptobenzoic acid. It displays a new intricate 4-nodal {3·4·6·7·8·9}{3·6·7·8·9·10}{3·8·9}{4·6·8} topology. Compound 2 displays a 3-D framework with new 3-connected topology with Schläfli symbol of (4·8·10) (8·122), in which the 1-D Zn-carboxylate chains were bridged by 3-connected IPT? ligands. The thermal stabilities and luminescence properties of 1 and 2 have also been studied. The compounds exhibit intense solid-state fluorescent emissions at room temperature.  相似文献

Two new complexes, [Co(L)2]Cl·(MeOH)2 (1) and [Ni(L)2]4·EtOH (2) (L?=?(E)-2-(amino((pyridin-2-ylmethylene)amino)methylene)maleonitrile), were synthesized and characterized by X-ray crystallography, IR, UV, and fluorescence spectroscopy. According to X-ray crystallographic studies, each metal was six-coordinate with six nitrogens from two ligands. Both complexes form two-dimensional supramolecular networks via hydrogen bonding and π–π interactions. Ultraviolet and visible spectra showed that absorptions arise from π–π ?, MLCT, and dd electron transitions. Fluorescence spectroscopy revealed moderate intercalative binding of these two complexes with EB–DNA, with apparent binding constant (K app) values of 9.14?×?105 and 3.20?×?105?M?1 for Co(III) and Ni(II) complexes, respectively. UV–visible absorption spectra showed that the absorption of DNA at 260?nm was quenched for 2 but quenched then improved for 1 with addition of complexes, tentatively attributed to the effect of the combined intercalative binding and electrostatic interaction for 1.  相似文献

Abstract

A sensitive and selective method for the determination of palladium(II) in mineral veins of quartz, a pegmatite rock from Campo Largo County, Parana State, Brazil, was investigated. After liquid-liquid extraction of Pd2- from aqueous solution, pH 2.4, with [5-(4-dimethylaminebenzylidene)rhodanine] and methyl isobutyl ketone, the back-extraction was performed with 3.0 mol.L?1 sulfuric acid. At pH 2.4, only trace amounts of gold(III) and silver(I) were co-extracted with palladium(II). However, neither Au3+ nor Ag+ interfere with palladium(II) determination by differential pulse polarography using tris(hydroxymethyl)aminomethane and potassium nitrate, pH 11.0, as supporting electrolyte. The observed detection limit was 1.0 μg(Pd2+).L?1.  相似文献

Abstract

Tetrazole-carboxylate ligands are universally considered as multi-functional candidates for the construction of coordination architectures. A 1-D [Fe(pytza)2(H2O)2]n·2nH2O (pytza = 5-(3-pyridyl)tetrazole-acetato) has been prepared. In vitro study on Hela cells show that Hpytza is naturally nontoxic while [Fe(pytza)2(H2O)2]n·2nH2O shows high toxicity with a half-maximal inhibitory concentration (IC50) of 6.3?×?10?5 M. In addition, the compound can effectively inhibit the migration of Hela cells.  相似文献

A separation-preconcentration method based on supramolecular solvent ultrasonic-assisted liquid-phase microextraction (Ss-USA-LPME) for spectrophotometric determination of mercury as 1-(2-pyridylazo)-2-naphthol (PAN) chelates has been established. Red coloured Hg(II)-PAN hydrophobic complex was extracted into the supramolecular phase (1-decanol/THF) at pH 9.5. The extract was separated from aqueous phase by centrifugation, diluted with ethanol and determined by UV–Vis spectrophotometer at λmax = 560 nm. The influences of important analytical parameters such as pH, amount of PAN, 1-decanol and THF, sample volume and matrix effects for the quantitative recoveries were examined and optimised. Under the optimised experimental conditions, the amount of ligand, 1-decanol and THF were 1.0 × 104 M, 200 µL and 300 µL, respectively. The optimum time of ultrasonic bath and centrifugation were found as 2 min and 5 min. A linear calibration graph was obtained linearly in the concentration ranges of 8.31000 µg L?1. The preconcentration factor was obtained as 20. The limit of detection (LOD) was 2.6 µg L?1 with the relative standard deviation (RSD) of 2.4% for mercury (C = 100 µg L?1, n = 7). The validity of the developed Ss-USA-LPME technique was checked with a certified reference material of NIST 1641d. The presented method has been successfully applied to the determination of mercury in water samples.  相似文献

A flow injection method using 2-(5-nitro-2-pyridylazo)-5-(N-propyl-N-sulfopropylamino)phenol-(Nitro-PAPS) as a new chromogenic reagent is presented for sensitive and rapid determination of vanadium. Nitro-PAPS reacts with vanadium(V) in weakly acidic medium to form a water soluble complex of molar absorptivity of 8.0 × 104L mol–1 cm–1 at 592 nm (maximum absorption wavelength), which permits the straightforward application of a flow injection system to the sensitive determination of vanadium. Under the optimum conditions established, a linear calibration graph was obtained in the range 1–120 ng mL–1. The relative standard deviation for 60 ng mL–1 vanadium was 2.2% (n = 5) and the limit of detection was 1 ng mL–1. The sample throughput is about 40 h–1. Most inorganic and organic anions examined did not interfere even at concentrations of 3000–6000 times of vanadium. Interference from cobalt(II), copper(II) and nickel(II) at 200ng mL–1 levels can be overcome by the addition of N-(dithio-carboxy)sarcosine. The recoveries for each 20 and 10 ng mL–1 vanadium added to the river water were 98 and 97%, respectively.The authors express their thanks to Miss Miho Suzuki and Miss Hiroyo Yamada for their experimental assistance in part.  相似文献

Three triorganotin(IV) esters of 2-{[N-(2-oxo-2H-naphthalene-1-yliden)hydrazo]}benzoic acid were prepared and studied by IR and NMR spectroscopy and X-ray crystallography for the tributyl- and triethyltin(IV)-2-{[N-(2-oxo-2H-naphthalene-1-yliden)hydrazo]}benzoates (2, 3). These compounds are monomeric in solution with four-coordinate tin. The hydrazo tautomeric forms are present in chloroform solution as well as in the solid state. The coordination geometries of tin in 2 and 3 are trigonal bipyramidal with all three carbons in equatorial positions, one carboxylic oxygen and the quinone-type oxygen from adjacent molecules are in axial positions forming centrosymmetric dimers with the ring containing 20 members. The yield of the tricyclohexyltin(IV) derivative (4) is much lower than 2 or 3, with instability towards moisture in solution. The product of the reaction with water is the bis2-hydroxo)-bis{2-{[N-(2-oxo-2H-naphthalene-1-yliden)hydrazo]}benzoato}tetracyclohexylditin (4a) dimer. The tin is five-coordinate in the solid state by two cyclohexyl and two hydroxy groups, the last coordination site is occupied by a monodentate carboxy group. The dimeric form of this compound remains in chloroform solution.  相似文献

A new series of 2-(coumarin-3-yl)-5-mercapto-1,3,4-oxadiazoles based on various aryl thiourea/ureas incorporating a 1,3,5-s-triazine moiety is reported. The components of this series have been obtained by the reaction of cyanuric chloride (1) with 2-(coumarin-3-yl)-5-mercapto-1,3,4-oxadiazole (2). The prepared 2-{(coumarin-3-yl-1,3,4-oxadiazolyl)-5-thio}-4,6-dichloro-s-triazine (3) was subsequently treated with morpholine (4) to form 2-{(coumarin-3-yl-1,3,4-oxadiazolyl)-5-thio}-4-(morpholino)-6-chloro-s-triazine (5). This was further treated with various substituted aryl urea/thioureas (6a–k/7a–k) to afford the title compounds 8a–k and 9a–k, which were and tested for their antibacterial activity (MIC) against different microorganisms. The structures of the novel synthesized compound have been established on the basis of 1H NMR and FT-IR data together with elemental analysis.
