A flow injection system is proposed for catalytic kinetic spectrophotometric determination of trace iron(II + III). The involved reaction is based on the catalytic effect of iron(III) on oxidation reaction of xylenol orange by potassium bromate to form a blue-violet complex. Iron(II) is also determined, being oxidized to iron(III) by potassium bromate. The calibration graph is linear in the range of 0.02–10.0 µg l?1 and 10.0–1100 µg l?1. The relative standard deviation is 1.5% for 4.0 µg l?1 iron(III) and 2.3% for 60.0µg l?1 iron(III) (n = 11). The presented system was applied successfully to the determination of iron in natural waters.  相似文献

Abstract

A flow‐injection spectrophotometric procedure was developed for determining N‐acetylcysteine in pharmaceutical formulations. The sample was dissolved in deionized water and 400 µl of the solution was injected into a carrier stream of 1.0×10?2 mol l?1 sodium borate solution. The sample flowed through a column (70 mm length×2.0 mm i.d.) packed with Zn3(PO4)2 immobilized in a polymeric matrix of polyester resin and Zn(II) ions were released from the solid‐phase reactor because of the formation of the Zn(II) (N‐acetylcysteine)2 complex. The mixture merged with a stream of borate buffer solution (pH 9.0) containing 5.0×10?4 mol l?1 Alizarin red S and the Zn(II)Alizarin red complex formed was measured spectrophotometrically at 540 nm. The analytical curve was linear in the N‐acetylcysteine concentration range from 3.0×10?5 to 1.5×10?4 mol l?1 (4.9 to 24.5 µg ml?1) with a detections limit of 8.0×10?6 mol l?1 (1.3 µg ml?1). The relative standard deviations (RSDs) were smaller than 0.5% (n=10) for solutions containing 5.0×10?5 mol l?1 (8.0 µg ml?1) and 8.0×10?5 mol l?1 (13.0 µg ml?1) of N‐acetylcysteine, and the analytical frequency was 60 determinations per hour. A paired t‐test showed that all results obtained for N‐acetylcysteine in commercial formulations using the proposed flow‐injection procedure and a comparative procedure agreed at the 95% confidence level.  相似文献

A simple and accurate flow injection analysis system coupled with spectrophotometric detector was developed for preconcentration and determination of europium(III) in aqueous samples. The developed flow system includes a europium preconcentration step in a column packed with Amberlite XAD-4 resin impregnated with nalidixic acid at pH 7.0. The europium complex was desorbed from the resin by 0.1 mol L?1 HCl and mixed with arsenazo-III solution (0.05 % solution in 0.1 mol L?1 HCl) and taken to the flow through cell of spectrophotometer where its absorbance was measured at 661 nm. The optimum preconcentration system, chemical and FIA variables were investigated. The preconcentration factors obtained were 115 and 500, detection limits of 0.43 and 0.1 μg L?1, sample throughputs of 40 and 10 were obtained for preconcentration time of 60 and 300 s respectively. The proposed system showed good precision and accuracy with relative standard deviation of 1.5 %. The method has been applied to the determination of europium(III) in real water samples and certified reference material IAEA-SL-1 (Lake sediment).  相似文献

Abstract

A new method for flow-injection analysis (FIA) for the determination of penicillins based on the extraction and spectrophotometric determination of ion associates with selected thiazine dyes (methylene blue, azure A, and azure B) is proposed. The reaction conditions (cdye = 2 × 10?4 mol l?1, cKCl = 1 mol l?1, pH ? 6, λ = 635 nm) were found. The factorial design has been carried out to determine the optimum flow conditions. A wide linear dynamic range of calibration curves (5.1–700 µg ml?1 for penicillin V with all dyes, R = 0.9985) and good repeatability (e.g., relative standard deviation [RSD] = 4.6–0.6% in this concentration range for the reaction with azure B) were found. The detection limit for penicillin V is 1.5 µg ml?1, and the determination limit is 5.1 µg ml?1. The maximum analysis rate is 35 samples per h. The practical samples of pharmaceutics were tested. There are no interferences from the additives in pharmaceutics.  相似文献

A rapid and simple on-line method is described for the determination of Au(III) in various samples. The method is based on the sorption of gold(III) on Lewatit MonoPlus TP207 chelating resin including the iminodiacetate group, which is used as sorbent material and packed in a minicolumn. The chemical variables such as the pH of the sample solution, eluent type, interfering ions and concentrations of reagents, and instrumental variables such as sample loading volume, reagents flow rates, and tubing length, which affect the efficiency of the method were studied and optimised. Au(III) was sorbed on the chelating resin, from which it could be eluted with 3 mol L?1 HCl, and then introduced directly to the nebuliser-burner system of FAAS. The limit of detection of the method was 0.2 µg L?1 while the relative standard deviation was <4.0% for 20 µg L?1 Au(III) concentration. The preconcentration factor was found to be 106 while the optimised sample volume was 15.3 mL. The accuracy of the method was verified by analysing the certified reference material. The developed method was applied successfully for the determination of gold in different samples with satisfactory results.  相似文献

Abstract

Two fast flow injection procedures with fluorimetric detection based on the furosemide emission are presented. The first configuration used a phosphate buffer solution pH 3.00, 0.2 ionic strength (μ) solution flowing at 3.0 ml min?1 as carrier, a 80 cm sample loop (400 µl total sample injection), and a 40 cm long reactor coil, which was kept at room temperature; the second has a unique difference: the introduction of a new channel of surfactant solution with reduction of flow rate. The excitation and emission were carried out at 270 and 410 nm, respectively; both systems presented linear dynamic range from 1.0×10?7 to 1.0×10?5 mol l?1. The limit of detection (3σ/slope) was 3.0×10?8 mol l?1, to the first system, and 10?8 mol l?1 for the second one. Both proposed methods were applied to three commercial samples from different suppliers, as tablets and ampoules, and a synthetic urine sample spiked with the analyte. They presented an analytical frequency of 90 and 60 measurements per hour, respectively to phosphate and micelar media. The results agreed with those from the label and determined by a UV‐Vis spectrophotometric comparative procedure. Recoveries around 101% were found in the commercial formulations and synthetic urine matrixes.  相似文献

An economical, fast, sensitive and selective method for the determination of uranium (VI) from sulfate media based on the flow injection on-line preconcentration in a minicolumn having amberlite IRA-402 (strong anion exchange) resin is described. Uranium (VI) was selectively adsorbed on the resin as uranyl trisulfate complex from aqueous solution of pH 2 in the minicolumn (2.56 mm i.d. and 7.5 cm in length) at a flow rate of 10 ml min?1. The adsorbed uranyl trisulfate complex was eluted by HClO4 (0.1 mol l?1, 6.5 ml min?1) and mixed with arsenazo-III (0.05 %, 6.5 ml min?1), and passed through the flow through cell of spectrophotometer where its absorbance was measured at 653 nm. Various parameters affecting adsorption and elution of the uranium complex were optimized. For data analyses peak absorbance was used. For 60 and 180 s preconcentration time, enrichment factors (EF) 20 and 40, sampling frequency (SF) 45 and 18 h?1; and detection limits (DL) (3σ) 14.2 and 8.6 μg l?1 were obtained, respectively. To enhance the sensitivity of the system, two minicolumns (described above) were used for simultaneous preconcentration and elution purpose. For 60 and 180 s preconcentration time, EF 30 and 50, SF 42 and 17 h?1 and DL (3σ) 4.4 and 3.44 μg l?1 were obtained, respectively. The effect of various anions and cations was studied for single column manifold. High selectivity of this method was observed. All the anions and cations studied did not interfere up to 330 times higher mass ratio to 300 μg l?1 U (VI) except Th(IV) which was tolerated up to 133 times by the addition of washing step in the manifold. The method based on single column manifold was applied on the spiked tap water, biological sample CRM (IAEA-V4) and synthetic leach liquor solution and good recovery was obtained. The method based on dual column manifold was validated on lake sediment SL-1 (CRM) and the results obtained were in good agreement at 95 % confidence level with the given value.  相似文献

Abstract

A novel method for the ultratrace determination of Cd2+ and Pb2+ based on magneto‐voltammetry was developed. In the presence of a low strength magnetic field of 0.6 T, square wave stripping voltammetry (SWSV) of Cd2+ and Pb2+ was performed in this determination. A high concentration of redox species Fe3+ was added to the analytes to generate a large cathodic current during the preconcentration step. A large Lorentz force arising from the flux of net current through the magnetic field resulted in convective solution flow due to magnetohydrodynamics. Then more metal ions deposited on the electrode surface at a faster rate and an enhancement as large as 160% for the stripping peak current was observed. Under the optimal conditions, this method exhibits high sensitivities of 5.67 µA µM?1 for Cd2+ and 6.98 µA µM?1 for Pb2+, over the 1×10?8 – 1×10?6 mol l?1 range. Detection limits as low as 9.0×10?10 and 8.6×10?10 mol l?1 for Cd2+ and Pb2+ were obtained with a 2 min preconcentration time, respectively. The method was successfully applied to detect Cd2+ and Pb2+ in real water samples and the results were in agreement with atomic absorption spectrometry.  相似文献

A new solid phase extraction method for the separation and preconcentration of Pd(II) was developed. As solid phase material, a new chelating polymer, poly [N-(4-bromophenyl)-2-methacrylamide-co-2-acrylamido-2-methyl-1-propanesulfonic acid - co-divinylbenzene] was synthesized. The parameters such as the effect of pH, eluent type, volume and concentration, flow rate of sample solution, sample volume and effect of interfering ions for the preconcentration of Pd(II) were investigated. The optimum pH was found to be 9. Eluent for quantitative elution was 10 mL of 1 mol L?1 HCl. The preconcentration factor of the method was 75. At optimum conditions, the recovery for Pd(II) was found to be 101?±?4%. The limit of detection (3σ) was 1.1?µg L?1. The method was applied to the determination of palladium in tap water and converter samples with satisfactory results.  相似文献

An on-line scandium preconcentration and determination method was developed with spectrophotometer associated with flow injection. Scandium from aqueous sample solution of pH 4.5 was selectively retained in the minicolumn containing XAD-4 resin impregnated with nalidixic acid at a flow rate of 11.8 mL min?1 as scandium–nalidixic acid complex. The scandium complex was desorbed from the resin by 0.1 mol L?1 HCl at a flow rate of 3.2 mL min?1 and mixed with arsenazo-III solution (0.05 % solution in 0.1 mol L?1 HCl, 3.2 mL min?1) and taken to the flow through cell of spectrophotometer where its absorbance was measured at 640 nm. The preconcentration factors obtained were 35 and 155; detection limits of 1.4 and 0.32 μg L?1 and sample throughputs of 40 and 11 were obtained for preconcentration time of 60 and 300 s, respectively. The tolerance limits of many interfering cations like Th(IV), U (VI), rare-earths and anions like tartrate, citrate, oxalate and fluoride were improved. The method was successfully applied to the determination of scandium from mock seawater samples and good recovery was obtained. The method was also validated on certified reference material IAEA-SL-1 (lake sediment) and the result was in good agreement with the reported value.  相似文献

Abstract

Rapid, simple, and accurate spectrophotometric method is presented for the determination of ibuprofen by batch and flow injection analysis methods. The method is based on ibuprofen competitive complexation reaction with phenolphthalein‐β‐cyclodextrin (PHP‐β‐CD) inclusion complex. The increase in the absorbance of the solution at 554 nm by the addition of ibuprofen was measured. Ibuprofen can be determined in the range 8.0×10?6 ?3.2×10?4 and 2.0×10?5?5.0×10?3 mol l?1 by batch and flow methods, respectively. The limit of detection and limit of quantification were 6.19×10?6 and 2.06×10?5 mol l?1 for batch and 1.77×10?5 and 5.92×10?5 mol l?1 for flow method, respectively. The sampling rate in flow injection analysis method was 120±5 samples h?1. The method was applied to the determination of pharmaceutical formulations.  相似文献

Abstract

Multi‐walled carbon nanotubes (MWNTs) were used as sorbent for flow injection (FI) on‐line microcolumn preconcentration coupled with flame atomic absorption spectrometry (FAAS) for determination of trace cadmium and copper in environmental and biological samples. Effective preconcentration of trace cadmium and copper was achieved in a pH range of 4.5–6.5 and 5.0–7.5, respectively. The retained cadmium and copper were efficiently eluted with 0.5 mol L?1 HCl for on‐line FAAS determination. The MWNTs packed microcolumn exhibited fairly fast kinetics for the adsorption of cadmium and copper, permitting the use of high sample flow rates up to at least 7.8 mL min?1 for the FI on‐line microcolumn preconcentration system without loss of the retention efficiency. With a preconcentration time of 60 sec at a sample loading flow rate of 4.3 mL min?1, the enhancement factor was 24 for cadmium and 25 for copper at a sample throughput of 45 h?1. The detection limits (3σ) were 0.30 and 0.11 µg L?1 for Cd and Cu, respectively. The precision (RSD) for 11 replicate measurements was 2.1% at the 10‐µg L?1 Cd level and 2.4% at the 10‐µg L?1 Cu level. The developed method was successfully applied to the determination of trace Cd and Cu in a variety of environmental and biological samples.  相似文献

The present paper describes the feasibility of on-line preconcentration of nickel ions from aqueous medium on Ni(II)-imprinted cross-linked poly(methacrylic acid) (IIP) synthesised through a double-imprinting method and their subsequent determination by FAAS. The proposed method consisted in loading the sample (20.0 mL, pH 7.25) through a mini-column packed with 50 mg of the IIP for 2 min. The elution step was performed with 1.0 mol L?1 HNO3 at a flow rate of 7.0 mL min?1. The following parameters were obtained: quantification limit (QL) – 3.74 µg L?1, preconcentration factor (PF) – 36, consumption index (CI) – 0.55 mL, concentration efficiency (CE) – 18 min?1, and sample throughput – 25 h?1. The precision of the procedure assessed in terms of repeatability for ten determinations was 5.6% and 2.5% for respective concentrations of 5.0 and 110.0 µg L?1. Moreover, the analytical curve was obtained in the range of 5.0–180.0 µg L?1 (r = 0.9973), and a 1.64-fold increase in the method sensitivity was observed when compared with the analytical curve constructed for the NIP (non-imprinted polymer), thus suggesting a synergistic effect of the Ni(II) ions and CTAB on the adsorption properties of the IIP. The practical application of the adsorbent was evaluated from an analysis of tap, mineral, lake and river water. Considering the results of addition and recovery experiments (90.2–100 %), the efficiency of this adsorbent can be ensured for the interference-free preconcentration of the Ni(II) ions.  相似文献

We present a method for the separation and determination of transition metals in electrolytes based on ion chromatography (IC) with post-column reaction (PCR) and serial conductivity and spectrophotometric detection. Three IC columns [Metrosep C4—250/4.0 (column A), Metrosep C6—250/4.0 (column B), and Nucleosil 100-5SA—250/4.6 (column C)] with different capacities, and stationary phases were used and compared with each other for method development. All spectrophotometric measurements were carried out with 4-(2-pyridylazo)resorcinol (PAR) as PCR reagent at a wavelength of 500 nm. To characterize the precision of the separation, the selectivity for the analysis of transition metals (nickel, cobalt, copper, and manganese) in the presence of large amounts of lithium and the resolution of the peaks were determined and compared with one another. Furthermore, the limits of detection (LOD) and quantification (LOQ) were determined for the transition metals. The LODs and LOQs determined by column C were as follows: cobalt (LOD/LOQ): 9.4 µg L?1/31.3 µg L?1, manganese (LOD/LOQ): 7.0 µg L?1/23.5 µg L?1, and nickel (LOD/LOQ): 6.3 µg L?1/21.1 µg L?1. Finally, the concentration of transition metal dissolution of the cathode material Li1Ni1/3Co1/3Mn1/3O2 (NCM) was investigated for different charge cut-off voltages by the developed IC method.  相似文献

The possibility of using ionic liquid based chitosan sorbent for the separation and preconcentration of fluoroquinolone antibiotics (marbofloxacin, enoxacin, ofloxacin, ciprofloxacin, and enrofloxacin) has been studied. For this reason, different ionic liquids were prepared and coated on the chitosan sorbent. The conditions of the preconcentration of fluoroquinolones on a microcolumn have been optimized and the extraction efficiencies of the prepared sorbents have been compared. The compounds were eluted with 5 mL of 20% NH3 (v/v, MeOH) solution and determined by HPLC with diode array and fluorescence detector. The limits of detection were found as 4.23 µ g L?1 for marbofloxacin, and 1.09 µg L?1 for enoxacin; 3.23 × 10?3 µg L?1 for ofloxacin; 8.39 × 10?3 µg L?1 for ciprofloxacin; and 19.50 × 10?3 µg L?1 for enrofloxacin. The developed method was applied for the analysis of fluoroquinolone in milk, egg, fish, bovine, and chicken samples and the recoveries were obtained in the range 70–100%.  相似文献

Abstract

A simple, rapid, and automated assay for hydrogen peroxide in pharmaceutical samples was developed by combining the multicommutation system with a chemiluminescence (CL) detector. The detection was performed using a spiral flow‐cell reactor made from polyethylene tubing that was positioned in front of a photodiode. It allows the rapid mixing of CL reagent and analyte and simultaneous detection of the emitted light. The chemiluminescence was based on the reaction of luminol with hydrogen peroxide catalyzed by hexacyanoferrate(III).

The feasibility of the flow system was ascertained by analyzing a set of pharmaceutical samples. A linear response within the range of 2.2–210 µmol l?1 H2O2 with a LD of 1.8 µmol l?1 H2O2 and coefficient of variations smaller than 0.8% for 1.0×10?5 mol l?1 and 6.8×10?5 mol l?1 hydrogen peroxide solutions (n=10) were obtained. Reagents consumption of 90 µg of luminol and 0.7 mg of hexacyanoferrate(III) per determination and sampling rate of 200 samples per hour were also achieved.  相似文献

This work assesses the use of modified natural clinoptilolite as an adsorptive material for separation and preconcentration of trace amounts of zirconium ions. A simple, rapid and economical method was developed for the preconcentration of trace amounts of zirconium in aqueous medium using 1-(2-pyridylazo)-2-naphthol as a complexing agent. Effect of sample pH, flow rate of sample and elution solutions, breakthrough volume and interference of several ions were studied. Determination of zirconium was made by ICP-AES technique. The sorption was quantitative in the pH range from 3.0 to 4.0, whereas quantitative desorption occurred instantaneously with 2 mol L?1 hydrochloric acid. Linearity was maintained between 0.05 and 9.0 μg mL?1. Relative standard deviations range from ±0.9% to ±2.3% (n?=?5). The detection limit was 0.1 ng mL?1. Because of good recovery (>97%), this method is suitable for preconcentration and determination of zirconium in effluents containing trace amount of zirconium.  相似文献

A very sensitive and selective flow injection on-line determination method of thorium (IV) after preconcentration in a minicolumn having XAD-4 resin impregnated with N-benzoylphenylhydroxylamine is described. Thorium (IV) was selectively adsorbed from aqueous solution of pH 4.5 in a minicolumn at a flow rate of 13.6 mL min?1, eluted with 3.6 mol dm?3 HCl (5.6 mL min?1), mixed with arsenazo-III (0.05% in 3.6 mol dm?3 HCl stabilized with 1% Triton X-100, 5.6 mL min?1) at confluence point and taken to the flow through cell of spectrophotometer where its absorbance was measured at 660 nm. Peak height was used for data analyses. The preconcentration factors obtained were 32 and 162, detection limits of 0.76 and 0.150 ??g L?1, sample throughputs of 40 and 11 h?1 for preconcentration times of 60 and 300 s, respectively. The tolerance levels for Zr(IV) and U(VI) metal ions is increased to 50-folds higher concentration to Th(IV). The proposed method was applied on different spiked tap water, sea water and biological sample and good recovery was obtained. The method was also applied on certified reference material IAEA-SL1 (Lake Sediment) for the determination of thorium and the results were in good agreement with the reported value.  相似文献

A hexagonal mesoporous silica (HMS) functionalized with a 5-mercapto-1-methyltetrazole derivative was employed to prepare a chemically modified carbon paste electrode for Pb(II) detection in aqueous solution by square wave adsorptive stripping voltammetry. The optimal operating conditions were 5 min preconcentration time at pH 6.5, and 120 s electrolysis time in 0.2 mol L?1 HCl. Under these conditions, the voltammetric signal increased linearly with the preconcentration time in the range 1 to 10 min and with the Pb(II) concentration in the range 1 to 100?µg L?1. The electrode was reproducible and sensitive. Simultaneous determination of Pb, Cd and Cu was also carried out with the electrode. The accuracy of the method was validated by analysing Pb(II) in tap water and groundwater samples.  相似文献

In this study, a method for the efficient production of dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) from phytosterols in a vegetable oil/aqueous two-phase system by Mycobacterium sp. was developed. After the 3-hydroxyl group of phytosterols was protected, they could be converted into DHEA with high yield and productivity by Mycobacterium sp. NRRL B-3683. In a shake flask biotransformation, 15.05 g l?1 of DHEA and a DHEA yield of 85.39% (mol mol?1) were attained after 7 days with an initial substrate concentration of 25 g l?1. When biotransformation was carried out in a 30-l stirred bioreactor with 25 g l?1 substrate, the DHEA concentration and yield was 16.33 g l?1 and 92.65% (mol mol?1) after 7 days, respectively. The results of this study suggest that inexpensive phytosterols could be utilized for the efficient production of DHEA.  相似文献
