Synthesis of sulfonated porous polymers with improved hydrophobicity and stability is of extreme importance in both academic research and industrial applications. However, there is often a trade-off between acidity and surface hydrophobicity of sulfonated polymers. In this study, we report a strategy for the synthesis of sulfonated porous organic polymers (S-PT) with improved hydrophobicity via free radical polymerization method by using a rigid and large multidentate monomer, 1,3,5-tri(4-vinylphenyl)-benzene, having a hydrophobic core. The results of vapor adsorption measurement show that S-PT has more hydrophobic properties than sulfonated poly(divinylbenzene) (S-PD), attributed to the hydrophobic core of its multidentate monomer. Furthermore, the optimization of sulfonation time established a balance between surface acidity and hydrophobicity. Under optimized conditions, S-PT afforded up to 113 mmol g−1 h−1 TOF in the esterification of oleic acid with methanol, more active than commercial Amberlyst-15 with TOF of 15 mmol g−1 h−1 and Nafion NR50 with TOF of 7 mmol g−1 h−1. We believe that the findings of this study will provide useful insights to advance the design and synthesis of solid acid catalysts for organic transformations.  相似文献

Summary: Biodegradable amphiphilic poly(ether-anhydride) gel nanoparticles (GNPs) with a hydrophobic crosslinked core and a hydrophilic PEG shell have been prepared from amphiphilic photo-crosslinkable ether-anhydride macromers via microemulsion photo-polymerization. The properties of the GNPs, such as degradability, size and drug-loading capacity, were investigated by tailoring the length of PEG chains in macromers from 400 to 4000 and by the addition of a hydrophobic photo-crosslinkable monomer: stearic monoacrylic anhydride (MSA). TEM showed that the GNPs were spherical in shape with a core-shell structure when MSA was added. The GNPs were used as the carriers to enhance the solubility of hydrophobic drugs. Indomethacin (IND) as a model drug was entrapped in the hydrophobic crosslinked core by an in situ embedding method. Results showed that IND maintained chemically intact during the formulation process, and its dissolution rate were improved compared to those of the pure IND. The GNPs prepared from PEG macromer (molecular weight: 4000) with the addition of MSA exhibited the zero-order release behavior, which is potentially useful to control the release of hydrophobic drugs.  相似文献

Abstract

Tris (acetylacetonato)cobalt(III) and tris(acetylacetonato)-chromium(III) have been eluted by gel chromatography through styrene-divinylbenzene copolymer gel using an organic solvent as an eluent. Elution counts of these chelates in these solvents reflect some mutual interactions between metal chelate, gel and solvent. When benzene or chloroform was used as an eluent, sieving effect seems to be dominant for the separation of these chelates. Discussions were done in relation to solubility parameters of the solvent, the complex and the gel.  相似文献

The chemistry of polyvalent iodine compounds has piqued the interest of researchers due to their role as important and flexible reagents in synthetic organic chemistry, resulting in a broad variety of useful organic molecules. These chemicals have potential uses in various functionalization procedures due to their non-toxic and environmentally friendly properties. As they are also strong electrophiles and potent oxidizing agents, the use of hypervalent iodine reagents in palladium-catalyzed transformations has received a lot of attention in recent years. Extensive research has been conducted on the subject of C—H bond functionalization by Pd catalysis with hypervalent iodine reagents as oxidants. Furthermore, the iodine(III) reagent is now often used as an arylating agent in Pd-catalyzed C—H arylation or Heck-type cross-coupling processes. In this article, the recent advances in palladium-catalyzed oxidative cross-coupling reactions employing hypervalent iodine reagents are reviewed in detail.  相似文献

超分子凝胶是由有机分子在非共价键作用力驱动下自组装形成的一种具有液态和固态双重性质的软物质。超分子凝胶能对多种外界刺激做出响应,广泛应用于催化和传感等领域。与传统的小分子探针相比,超分子凝胶传感器显示出了多种检测模式和多信号输出的优点,如超分子凝胶材料的内部三维网络结构和较大的接触面积有利于分析物的快速渗透,并且其凝胶状态的变化可以作为检测过程中的输出信号。此外,干凝胶薄膜材料还具有三维网络结构,在检测气体分析物方面表现出优异的检测性能。本文重点介绍了超分子凝胶在气态酸和有机胺检测中的应用以及相关超分子凝胶的设计和检测机理,为构建用于气态酸和有机胺检测的新型超分子凝胶提供了参考。最后总结了超分子凝胶在气态酸和有机胺检测中存在的问题及应用前景。  相似文献
