Abstract

A kinetic method for the determination of traces of pyridine (40-400 ng.ml″1) is described, based on the Konig reaction with cyanogen bromide for ring-opening and using 4,4 ′-diarninostilbene-2,2′-disulphonic acid (amsonic acid) as the coupling agent. Some disadvantages of earlier Konig-based equilibrium methods are removed in the new procedure. Figures of merit of the method are given, interfering effects by several con-pounds are studied and a view on the mechanism of the process is derived.  相似文献

Several mixed-ligand complexes of formula [MX 2 (MBPY)] {where M is Pd(II) or Pt(II); X is Cl m , I m , N 3 m or NO 2 m and MBPY is 4,4'-dimethyl-2,2'-bipyridine} have been prepared. The UV-Vis spectra of these complexes were found to show a low-lying MLCT band and on irradiation at the MLCT band these complexes sensitize the oxidation of 2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-4-piperidinol (XH) in N , N -dimethylformamide (DMF) to 4-hydroxy-2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-1-piperidinoloxy free radical (XO). This photo-oxidation reaction involves singlet molecular oxygen ( 1 O 2 ) as an intermediate and its presence was confirmed by quenching studies using bis(diethyldithiocarbamato)nickel(II) [Ni(DDTC) 2 ], a well-known 1 O 2 quencher. The ability of the complexes to photosensitize the above photo-oxidation reaction follows the order: [Pt ( N 3 ) 2 ( MBPY ) ] ( 2 ) ~ [Pt ( NO 2 ) 2 ( MBPY ) ] ( 3 ) > [PtCl 2 ( MBPY ) ] ( 4 ) > [PtI 2 ( MBPY ) ] ( 1 ) > [Pd ( NO 2 ) 2 ( MBPY ) ] ( 7 ) ~ [Pd ( N 3 ) 2 ( MBPY ) ] ( 6 ) > [PdCl 2 ( MBPY ) ] ( 8 ) > [PdI 2 ( MBPY ) ] ( 5 ), which reflects the nature of the metal ion and the nature of the ligands present in the complexes.  相似文献

An analytical procedure for determining antioxidants was proposed based on chemiluminescence. The analytical system consisted of a free-radicals generator, 2,2??-azo-bis(2-amidinopropane), luminol was used as a chemiluminescence sensitizer in phosphate buffer solution (pH 7.4). The analytical conditions were optimized. The analytical procedure detection limits as low as (??M) the following: for trolox, the limit is 0.05; for ascorbate, it is 0.20; for quercetin, it is 0.03; and, for dihydroquercetin, it is 0.03. A test determination of antioxidants in food was performed.  相似文献

Reaction of Pd(OAc)2 with HL1 and HL2 (HL1=6-iso-propyl-2,2-bipyridine; HL2=6-neo-pentyl-2,2-bipyridine), followed by treatment with LiCl or KI, gives [PdCl(L1)]2, (1), [PdCl(L2)]2 (2), and [PdI(L2)]2 (3), respectively. The chloride bridge in complexes1 and2 is split by PPh3 to give the mononuclear species PdCl(L1)(PPh3) (4) and PdCl(L2)(PPh3) (5). Spectroscopic data provide evidence for coordination of the deprotonated ligands through a nitrogen and the C(3) atom of the 6-substituted pyridine. An analogous platinum complex PtCl(L3)(SMe2) (6) (HL3=6-tert-butyl-2,2-bipyridine) was obtained from trans-PtClMe(SMe2)2 and HL3.  An indirect complexometric method is described for the determination of zinc(II) using 2,2′-bipyridyl as masking agent. Zinc(II) in a given sample solution is initially complexed with an excess of EDTA and surplus EDTA is titrated with lead nitrate solution at pH 5.0–6.0 (hexamine), using xylenol orange as indicator. An excess of 2,2′-bipyridyl is then added, the mixture shaken well and the EDTA released from the Zn-EDTA complex is titrated with standard lead nitrate solution. Results are obtained for 3–39 mg of Zn with relative errors ≤ 0.5% and standard deviations ± 0.06 mg. The interference of various ions are studied. Bis(4-(4-nitrophenyl)azo-2-nitrophenyl) disulfide (NADS) has been synthesized for the first time and proposed for the indirect photometric determination of carbon disulfide by dithiocarbamic acid. The reaction, which involves the breaking of the disulfide bond with the formation of colored azothio anions, is carried out in a mixture of dimethylsulfoxide and n-butanol. The high value of the apparent molar absorptivity (2 × 105) is probably due to the autocatalytic character of the reaction. Using NADS, procedures for the determination of carbon disulfide in the atmospheric air of populated areas and in the model gas mixtures designed for the calibration of gas analyzers have been developed and certified. The procedures show high sensitivity and good reproducibility.  相似文献

The violet-colored complexes of V(V) and N-methylaminothio-formyl-N′-phenylhydroxylamine are extractable into chloroform. The spectrophotometric studies have shown that 1:3 and 1:4 (metal:ligand) complexes predominate in the acidity range 6.5–9 N and 9.5–10.5 N HCl, respectively. The values of stability constants, stepwise and overall, have been calculated by following extended Leden and Yatsimirskii methods. The analytical suitability of the reagent for the microdetermination of vanadium has also been investigated.  相似文献

 A simple and direct spectrophotometric method has been developed for the determination of cobalt(II) using N,N′-Bis(2-aminobenzoyl)ethylenediamine (Baben). The method is based on the colour reaction between Baben and cobalt(II) in borax buffer (pH 9.2). The studies are carried out at 470 nm at which the calculated value of molar absorptivity is found to be 1.102 × 104 L mol−1 cm−1. The system obeys Beer’s law over a wide range of concentration (2–20 μg/ml). The effect of interfering ions has been studied and the method was applied to the determination of cobalt in water, industrial effluents and in alloys and the results were highly satisfactory. Abstract

Fluorescence properties of 2,2′-dihydroxy-3,3′-dicarboxy -1,1′-dinaphthylmethane (pamoic acid) and of its aluminium 1:1 complex are described. The fluorescence of the latter, as measured from a water-dioxane (3:7, v/v) solution, at pH 5.05–5.20, at room temperature, is used as a basis for a new method of aluminium determination at submicrogram level. Limit of quantification of the proposed procedure is 0.028 ng.ml?1, range of applicability goes up to 1.7 ug.ml?1, RSD is 1% at 0.47 ug.ml?1 level (concentrations, given refer to HCl solution which is measured) Tolerance ratios for several interferent metal ions are given. A comparison is made with Kirkbright's method which uses 3-hydroxy-2-naphthoic acid as complexing agent: stability with time of the readings and freedom from Fe(III) interference are the main advantages of the proposed procedure. The new method is applied to the aluminium determination in atmospheric aerosol samples.  相似文献

The reactivity of oxorhenium(V) precursors with the potentially N,N-donor ligand 2,2′-dipyridylamine (dpa) has been investigated. Reaction of a two-fold molar excess of dpa with trans-[ReO(OEt)Cl2(PPh3)2] in ethanol led to the isolation of [ReOCl2(OEt)(dpa)] (1). Spectroscopic measurements indicate that dpa is coordinated as a bidentate in the equatorial plane cis to the oxo group, with the ethoxide in the trans position. Treatment of trans-[ReOCl3(PPh3)2] with a tenfold molar excess of dpa in ethanol at reflux yielded the trans-dioxo complex [ReO2(dpa)2]Cl (2), but with a twofold molar excess (μ-O)[{ReOCl2(dpa)}2] (3a) was isolated. The latter reaction with (n-Bu4N)[ReOCl4] as starting material in ethanol at room temperature led to a dark green product, also with the formulation (μ-O)[{ReOCl2(dpa)}2] (3b). These compounds were characterised by common spectroscopic techniques, and the crystal structures of 2·3H2O, 3a and 3b·2DMSO were determined. The structure of 3b presents a nearly linear O=Re–O–Re=O group, with the two [ReOCl2(dpa)] halves of the dimer rotated by 180.0° about the Re–O–Re fragment away from an eclipsed conformation. In 3a, the two halves are only rotated by 61.4°.  相似文献

Abstract

A rapid and sensitive chemiluminescence method using flow-injection has been developed for the determination of an analgesic agent drug, piroxicam. The method is based on the chemiluminescence reaction of piroxicam with an acidic potassium permanganate and Ru(bipy)3 2+. The chemiluminescence intensity is greatly enhanced when quinine sulfate is used as a sensitizer. After optimization of the different experimental parameters, a calibration graph was obtained over a concentration range of 3.0 × 0?8–3.0 × 0?5 mol L?1 with the detection limit of 1.0 × 0?8 mol L?1. The relative standard deviation is 1.5% (n = 11) for the determination of 8.0 × 10?7 mol L?1 piroxicam. The proposed method was successfully applied to commercial tablets, spiked serum, and urine samples.  相似文献

The intense yellow colored complexes of Ti(IV) and N-pyridy1-N′-β-naphthylthiourea are extractable into isoamyl alcohol. The spectrophotometric studies following Job's and molar ratio methods have shown that 1:2 and 1:3 (meta1:ligand) complexes predominate in the acidity ranges of 2.5–6 and 7–9.5 N HCl, respectively. The values of the stability constants, sepwise and overall, have been calculated following extended Leden's, Yatsimirskii's, and Harvey-Manning's methods. It is shown that photolysis of [PtMe4(bipy)] using incident radiation with λ 436 or 473 nm occurs with high quantum efficiency of 0.8–1.0 to give homolysis of a methylplatinum bond; this has allowed a study of the chemical reactions of the [PtMe3(bipy)] radical.  相似文献
