Abstract

A new ammonium ion selective electrode has been developed and found to be capable of measuring ammonium ion in the presence of other cations. The electrode's selectivity over other cations is reported as well as its response time to step changes in ammonium ion activity. In addition, blood serum samples have been analyzed for urea content by treatment with urease with no special sample pre-treatment required.  相似文献

Abstract

This paper describes a potentiometric method for the determination of sulphur in solid and liquid samples, using a sulphide ion selective electrode after the reduction distillation step. The determination of sulphide in solid and liquid samples without prior treatment was carried out by direct and titration potentiometric methods.

The reproducibility of the method and the recovery of sulphate in solid samples was investigated using analytical reagent grade 99% sodium sulphate. Portions of aproximately 100 mg of reagent were subjected to the reduction distillation process. After the ion selective electrode showed a stable value of the potential, indicating that all the sulphate had been reduced to sulphide, the potentiometric titration with lead nitrate solution was performed. A mean recovery of 98% of sulphate was found. The potentiometric titration method described in this work, can be applied to determine S= in solid samples with the advantage that it does not require sample solubilization or extraction prior to the determination. The method yields an almost total reduction of sulphur and also a good precision.  相似文献

Abstract

The performance of a new liquid-membrane electrode using valinomycin as membrane component is described with respect to selectivity, working range, speed of response and accuracy. The electrode makes possible the measurement of potassium ion activities in the range of 10?1 M to at least 10?6 M in unbuffered systems with a selectivity of potassium over sodium ions of more than 4,000. Abstract

A method has been developed for the determination of sodium in alumina using a selective ion electrode. The alumina sample is dissolved in ammonium hydrogen fluoride in platinum crucibles or sintered with boric acid using either platinum, nickel, or zirconium crucibles. Either dissolution technique completely extracts all available sodium. After dissolution, and in the presence of citrate to prevent aluminum hydroxide precipitation, the pH is adjusted to 8.7 with ammonium hydroxide, and the sodium concentration is determined by a sodium selective ion electrode.  相似文献

采用氢氧化钠熔融浸取固体废物中的氟,用离子选择电极法测定其中的总氟含量。固体废物样品经氢氧化钠高温熔融后,以热纯水浸取并加入适量的盐酸使溶液呈弱碱性,去除主要干扰离子。测定氟的线性范围为5.00~500μg,线性相关系数r=0.999 6,检出限为12.5 mg/kg。6种类型固体废物样品的加标回收率在90.4%~110.0%之间,测定结果的相对标准偏差为2.3%~4.6%(n=6)。该方法样品预处理简单、重现性好、检出限低,适用于多种固体废物中总氟的测定。  相似文献

氧氟沙星是一种新型广谱抗菌素类药物 ,其含量测定的标准方法是高效液相色谱法 ,用离子选择性电极测定氧氟沙星的方法尚未见报道 .以氧氟沙星与四苯硼酸根形成的缔合物为电活性物质首次研制了一种氧氟沙星PVC膜涂层玻璃电极 ,用于氧氟沙星制剂的测定 .实验表明 ,该电极的Nernst响应范围为 5 .0× 10 -5~ 5 .0× 10 -3mol/L ;斜率为 5 1.8mV/pC ;该电极制作方法简单 ,响应迅速 ,重现性好 ,用于氧氟沙星注射液和口服胶囊的测定 ,所得结果与高效液相色谱法一致  相似文献

This work presents the results obtained on the construction of a potentiometric ion‐selective electrode based on a polypyrrole (PPy) selective membrane to quantify the benzoate ion in nonalcoholic beverages. The electrode modification with benzoate (Benz?1) ion doped‐Ppy was carried out under an imposed potential, while the electrosynthesis optimization was undertaken using the modified Simplex method, such that the film’s sensitivity was maximized toward the benzoate ion. The maximum sensitivity recorded was ?52.02±1.55 mV/decade [Benz?1] using a graphite powder‐araldite resin composite electrode. During the modified electrode’s characterization it was found out that the response and drift were relatively short, namely 2 min and 0.4 mV min?1 respectively, within the 7 to 9 pH range, exhibiting a detection limit of 7×10?4 mol L?1 and a quantification range of 3×10?3 at 10?1 mol L?1. Selectivity coefficients were evaluated with the Matched Potential Method obtaining in all cases values much less than 1. The benzoate concentration in commercially available juices and sweetened beverages was evaluated comparing the results obtained with the proposed ion‐selective electrode and those of HPLC, the usually accepted technique. A statistical analysis of the results led to the conclusion that there exists no meaningful difference between the results obtained with both techniques, which shows the usefulness of the ion‐selective electrode to proceed with the quantification in real samples.  相似文献

New solid contact ammonium micropipette electrodes (ISE), well applicable in scanning electrochemical microscopy are reported. The solid contact was made of a PEDOT nanowire coated carbon fiber, lowered down close to the orifice, and dipped inside the cocktail being in the pipette tip. This configuration provided low electrical resistance and good potential stability. Submicron tip size, usual in case of micropipette ISE‐s easily can be fabricated in this way. The applicability of the electrode in SECM has been proved in SG/TC mode imaging urease enzyme active spots in urea solutions.  相似文献

本文报道了一种镍离子选择性电极,它以我们合成的异菸酸十六烷酯作中性载体,该电极对浓度范围为10~(-1)~8×10~(-5)mol/L的镍离子有线性响应,斜率为-25.5±0.4 mV/pC_((Ni)~(2+))(20℃).相对于钠、钾、锂、钙、锡、铁、钴、铜离子的选择性系数分别为:8.1×1~(-5)、8.6×10~(-5)、8.2×10~(-5)、4.1×10~(-3)、7.5×10~(-4)、3.2×10~(-2)、8.0×10~(-2)、4.4×10~(-1).电极重现性优良,响应较快,用交流阻抗法研究了电极膜的传导机理,实验结果表明电极过程受扩散过程控制。  相似文献

Micron-size ion selective micropipettes can be used in scanning electrochemical microscopy (SECM). They can provide excellent spatial resolution. Unfortunately the resistance of these small sensors is high. Their application needs special shielding and slow scanning rates. Usually their lifetime hardly exceeds a few days.

Zinc layer or dispersed zinc particles containing films are often used for providing cathodic protection against corrosion in case of metal surfaces. Therefore, in corrosion studies, measurements of local zinc ion concentration can give important information about the nature of the process. For corrosion studies we needed SECM measuring tips for imaging concentration profiles of Zn2+ions involved in surface processes. Based on our earlier experience, solid contact micropipettes for selective measurements of Zn2+ion concentration were prepared with a tip size of a few micrometers. The properties of the micropipettes were investigated. They were also used in SECM imaging. In this paper, details of Zn2+ion selective microelectrode preparation are described. Data about their properties, lifetime, resistance, and ion activity response are shown. Preliminary findings in SECM imaging of zinc ion concentration profiles are shown. The improvement of the scanning rate achieved by lowering tip resistance is a main advantage in potentiometric SECM.  相似文献
