把雪崩电离模型引入受激布里渊散射模型中,数值模拟了无光学击穿和有光学击穿时受激布里渊散射能量反射率随输入光功率密度的变化规律.实验上选取净化和未净化的CCl4作为散射介质,在Nd:YAG调Q激光系统中进行了验证,理论与实验符合得很好.结果表明:当无光学击穿时,随着输入光功率密度的增大,能量反射率先是非线性增大,然后缓慢增大趋于饱和;而当有光学击穿时,随着输入光功率密度的增大,能量反射率先是非线性增大,达到最高值之后开始下降,最终趋于零.无光学击穿时的能量反射率及其稳定度明显高于有光学击穿时的情况. 关键词: 受激布里渊散射 光学击穿 雪崩电离  相似文献

Stimulated Brillouin scattering (SBS) numerical mode for broadband multimode KrF laser pump with optical breakdown has been built up in this paper. The basic premises of the model are that KrF spectrum is composed of an umber of lines and SBS arises from these lines with coupling to some extent. The broadband SBS threshold strongly depends on pump bandwidth. SBS and optical breakdown occur nearly simultaneously when broadband SBS and breakdown have the same threshold. The decrease of saturation reflectivity for broadband pump radiation is explained with this model. Experimental results agree well with the model.  相似文献

研究了介质所含杂质悬浮颗粒的大小和介质本身化学结构特性对光学击穿阈值的影响.实验结果表明,随着介质所含杂质悬浮颗粒的变小,其光学击穿阈值先是缓慢增大之后(颗粒直径小于0.22μm)迅速增大.通过净化介质可提高光学击穿阈值,进而提高相位共轭保真度、能量反射率及其稳定度等SBS特性.分子中外层原子对内部化学键的保护作用越好,外层原子的电离能越高,价电子数目越少,介质光学击穿阈值就越高. 关键词: 受激布里渊散射 液体介质 光学击穿  相似文献

建立了受激布里渊散射介质中热作用破坏的物理模型, 数值模拟了杂质颗粒的温度随其半径的变化曲线.结果显示,杂质颗粒存在一个最大热作用半径, 介质所含颗粒的尺寸在此半径附近时,介质最容易发生光学击穿现象, 其光学击穿阈值最低.在Continuum Nd: YAG种子注入式激光系统中,选取FC-3283, GF-180和HFE-7100介质, 通过不同孔径的过滤膜进行过滤,并研究了过滤前后的光学击穿阈值和能量反射率. 结果表明,随着过滤孔径的变小,介质光学击穿阈值逐渐提高, 且过滤之后介质的能量反射率有了明显的提高.介绍了一种利用He-Ne激光透射光光斑变化来判断是否发生光学击穿现象的方法,该方法具有方便、 准确的特点,可有效地减小由于肉眼观测引起的误差.  相似文献

Stimulated Brillouin scattering (SBS) provides a simple and effective method to compress pulses to 100 ps for shock ignition. This paper gives out two kinds of novel SBS mediums with excellent quality and superior performance, FC-43 and FC-70. The SBS parameters of FC-43 and FC-70 are calculated and measured. Both of these two mediums have the properties of lower absorption, higher optical loads and short phonon lifetime. The shortest pulse width achieved by SBS compressor was 235 ps for FC-43 and 175 ps for FC-70, and the highest energy reflectivity was more than 80 % for both of them. The compression efficiency and stability of FC-70 is better than FC-43, indicating FC-70 is more suitable to be used as the SBS medium to generate 100-ps pulses.  相似文献

实验研究发现抽运功率密度(或抽运能量)的波动引起的受激布里渊散射(SBS)反射率的不稳定程度受实验参数(抽运能量、介质气压和透镜焦距)的影响.当抽运能量、介质气压和透镜焦距这三个参数同时满足下列条件时可以获得稳定的输出:抽运能量超过5倍的SBS阈值,介质气压在16×105Pa和透镜焦距在15—50cm的范围内;同时还发现当改变实验参数时SBS反射率与稳定性的变化规律完全一致,反射率越高稳定性越好.通过理论分析得到 SBS反射率的相对稳定度实际上是受GIL因子的影响,理论计算与实验符合得很好. 关键词: KrF激光 受激布里渊散射 反射率 稳定度  相似文献

The factors that affect the performance of stimulated Brillouin scattering phase conjugating mirror (SBS-PCM) in high-power condition are demonstrated. In high-power condition, the reflectivity is limited by both the SBS medium and the PCM configuration. FC-72 is found to be the best SBS liquid medium for its very high optical breakdown threshold and very low absorption coefficient by comparing several media. As FC-72 is chosen, the impurity of the liquid is the most remarkable factor which affects the reflectivity of PCM. The Millipore membrane filters with aperture of 0.22 μm was used to clean the liquid, and the reflectivity was evidently increased. Among the parameters of the SBS-PCM, the focal length of lens is one of the most important parameters related to the load ability. In the condition of the input laser of 1 J and 10 Hz, the appropriate focal length is proved to be 50 cm. As lens is chosen, the rotating wedge plate (RWP) is used to decrease the effects of optical breakdown and thermal effects in the condition of high power and stable reflectivity is achieved. Synthetically considering all the factors of medium and configuration, an energy reflectivity of 82% is achieved when the input energy is 0.94 J and the repetition rate is at 10 Hz.  相似文献

A phase conjugating mirror combining a fused silica rod and an optical fiber is presented. This configuration combines a large diameter fused silica rod with a high laser damage threshold and an optical fiber with a low stimulated Brillouin scattering (SBS) threshold. The composed SBS generator-amplifier construction, similar to the two-cell type makes a forced SBS process, in which the Stokes beam reflected by the fiber is injected into the fused silica rod. Using this combined phase conjugating mirror in a laser-diode-pumped laser master oscillator power amplifier system, we obtained 42% SBS reflectivity at most at 100 Hz repetition rate. At the same time, the inverse beam quality parameter M(2) is reduced from 3 to 1.6, while at 400 Hz repetition rate, M(2) is reduced from 4 to 1.7.  相似文献

In order to improve the performance of the two-cell stimulated Brillouin scattering (SBS) system, this paper proposes the methods of using mixtures, which require amplifier media to have small absorption rate, and generator media to have high optical breakdown threshold and Brillouin frequency shift equal to that of the amplification media. The characteristics of the two-cell SBS system are studied experimentally by using CCl4 as amplifier medium and CCl4, C2H5OH and CCl4/C2H5OH liquid mixture as generator medium pumped by Nd:YAG Q-switched laser. The obtained results show that liquid mixture in generator cell improves the power load ability, phase conjugation fidelity, energy reflectivity (ER) and ER stability.  相似文献

The characteristics of stimulated Brillouin scattering (SBS) in a liquid-core optical fiber (LCOF) contained CS2 with 10?ns pulses at 532?nm wavelength are investigated experimentally. The threshold, reflectivity, pulse-shape (PS) fidelity, and phase-conjugation (PC) fidelity of LCOFs with different core diameters and lengths are measured. Threshold energy is as low as 2.5???J, and the SBS reflectivity, the PS fidelity, and PC fidelity exceed simultaneously 90?% when the input energy is over 20 times threshold.  相似文献

In this paper,a method of choosing mixture medium in two-cell stimulated Brillouinscattering(SBS)system to improve the system performance is proposed.The Brillouin frequency shift(BFS)of mixture medium varies with the mixing ratio andthus the difference of the BFS between the two cells can be eliminated.The two-cellSBS system with acetone(C3H6O)in its generator cell and mixture liquid ofCCl4/C2Cl4 in its amplifier cell is investigated.The C3H6O has a high optical breakdown threshold and the mixture liquid of CCl4/C2Cl4 has a small absorption coeffi-cient and the same BFS as that of C3H6O when the volume fraction of CCl4 is 4%.Compared with two-cell SBS system with the same liquid(C2Cl4)or different liquid(C3H6O and C2Cl4)in generator and amplifier cell,the SBS system with mixture liq-uid(CCl4/C2Cl4)in amplifier cell and C3H6O in generator cell improves thepower-load,energy reflectivity(ER),phase conjugation(PC)fidelity and ER stabil-ity.  相似文献

A theoretical analysis of stimulated Brillouin scattering (SBS) in linear cavity Yb3+-doped double-clad fiber lasers is presented by solving the steady-state rate equations with the SBS. The effects of cavity length, fiber core diameter, input mirror reflectivity at Stokes wavelength, Yb3+ concentration and laser linewidth on the SBS are discussed. Numerical results show that the SBS threshold power can be improved by shortening the cavity length, using large mode area fiber, reducing the input mirror reflectivity at Stokes wavelength, lowering the Yb3+ concentration and broadening the laser linewidth, and the influence of the laser linewidth on the SBS threshold power is more noticeable than other system parameters.  相似文献

The strong wave-front aberrations compensated by stimulated Brillouin scattering phase conjugate mirror (SBS-PCM) in a high power laser were investigated experimentally. The wave-front fluctuation of the 10 Hz 500 mJ Nd:YAG laser is 0.5λ. Transmitting through a random phase plate (RPP), it increases to 8.6λ. While using SBS-PCM in place of a high reflection mirror, the distortion induced by the RPP is compensated, and the wave-front fluctuation becomes 0.9λ. At the same time, obvious breakdown phenomena in the SBS cell were observed, and the reflectivity is unstable. A rotating wedge plate is introduced into the phase conjugating mirror to make the focus of the SBS cell rotate and optical breakdown is avoided effectively. The reflectivity becomes stable around about 70% and the instability is changed from ±4.1% to ±0.9%. Besides, the compensated wave-front fluctuation is only 0.6λ, which is near to the original wave-front distribution. The results show that the reflectivity of the SBS-PCM is very high and stable when there are no other nonlinear effects such as optical breakdown. Thus the compensating effects for strong wave-front errors are perfect.  相似文献

建立了描述噪声起振和Stokes种子光辅助起振的SBS(受激布里渊散射)理论模型,利用变步长有限差分方法数值求解了一维瞬态后向SBS耦合波方程组,得到了抽运光和散射光光强以及介质密度变化量的时空分布;研究了Stokes激光场对SBS反射率以及发生阈值的影响,发现Stokes种子光的存在大大减短了SBS过程的起振时间,并且在抽运光脉冲宽度固定的情况下使SBS的发生阈值大幅度降低;最后,探讨了瞬态受激布里渊过程对光学材料破坏的可能性并对今后的工作进行了展望. 关键词: 光学透明材料 受激布里渊散射 斯托克斯种子光 反射率  相似文献
