Several phthalocyanines with different peripheral substituents were prepared and characterized by MALDI-TOF, 1H NMR, UV–vis, fluorescence, and singlet oxygen quantum yields and retention time in HPLC normal phase. Zinc was used as a central metal ion to increase the photodynamic therapy efficiency. Phthalonitrile or 4-nitro phthalonitriles were used as starting materials. The influence of lipophilicity on the photophysical and photochemical properties was evaluated.  相似文献

The chemical synthesis and characterization with spectroscopic and electrochemical properties of [bis(4-fluorophenyl)-methoxy]-substituted metallo-phthalocyanines were reported for the first time. The new phthalocyanines have been characterized by elemental analysis, UV-Vis, FT-IR, and mass spectroscopies. The aggregation behavior of the phthalocyanine compounds was investigated in different solvents and concentrations. It is found that the fluoro substituents of peripherally Co and Cu complexes are examined and induce a shift to the redox processes toward the negative potentials and formed more reversible processes. Metal-based reduction and oxidation reactions were obtained for the Co(II) complex, whereas Cu(II) complexes exhibited Pc-ring-based electron-transfer reactions. The voltammetric measurements supported the proposed structure of the complexes.  相似文献

2(3),9(10),16(17),23(24)-Tetrakis-4′-[3,5-bis-(trifluoromethyl)-phenoxy]-phthalocyanines, {M[Pc-β(OBz-(CF3)2)4]}, (M = Zn(II), Cu(II), Co(II) and Ni(II)) were synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, FTIR, 1H NMR, UV–Vis and MS (Maldi-TOF) spectral data. It is shown that the 4-(3,5-bis(trifluoromethyl)-phenoxy) moieties on the periphery affect the solubility, spectroscopic data and electrochemistry of the tetrakis metallophthalocyanines. The cyclic voltammetry and differential pulsed voltammetry of the complexes give well-defined redox couples in harmony with common metallophthalocyanine complexes. Electrochemical studies show that the complexes exhibit stable monoanionic M{Pc-β-[(OBz-(CF3)2)4]}1−, dianionic M{Pc-β-[(OBz-(CF3)2)4]}2− and monocationic M{Pc-β-[(OBz-(CF3)2)4]}1+ species during the reduction and oxidation processes. When compared with the unsubstituted analogues, the redox potentials of the complexes shifted to more positive potentials due to the electron-withdrawing fluorine groups.  相似文献

The synthesis of a new phthalonitrile derivative (4-(benzo[d]thiazol-2-ylthio)phthalonitrile), its metal-free phthalocyanine, and metallo-phthalocyanines are described. Phthalocyanines are formed in high yield with template synthesis. These compounds showed considerable solubility in CHCl3, DMF and DMSO, a primary condition for potential applications. The newly synthesized compounds have been characterized by elemental analyses, UV-Visible spectra, IR and 1H-NMR.  相似文献

The synthesis and characterization of new phthalocyanines bearing eight N-alkyl or N-aryl sulfonamide groups is described. The synthetic route involves the chorosulfonation of 4,5-diphenoxyphthalonitrile with chlorosulfonic acid and reaction of the resulting 4,5-bis(p-chlorosulfonylphenoxy)phthalonitrile with amines. The sulfonamide-substituted phthalonitriles are then cyclotetramerized to yield the title compounds in good yields (50–83%).  相似文献

Preparation and characterization of peripherally glucose substituted zinc(II) phthalocyanine 6, linked via the anomeric carbon through a novel glycosidation method is reported for the first time, for which classical Pc template chemistry with the unprotected phthalonitrile 4 could be used. Phthalocyanine 6 was formed in high yield and is displaying a high solubility in water as a primary condition for a potential biological application.  相似文献

Dicyanophthalates 3 were synthesized via Pd-catalyzed two-fold cyanation of the corresponding 4,5-dichlorophthalates with Zn(CN)2. Appropriate modification of reaction conditions allowed one-pot synthesis of the corresponding zinc phthalocyanines 7 bearing eight peripheral alkyl ester groups. Powder X-ray diffraction study of a mesogenic zinc phthalocyanine bearing branched alkyl substituents revealed a rare case of a transition between two columnar rectangular liquid crystalline mesophases with different symmetry.  相似文献

A novel alcohol-soluble ionophore ligand and its non-peripherally tetrasubstituted functional 1,8,15,22-tetrakis(6-hydroxyhexylsulfanyl) metallophthalocyanines M[Pc(α-SC6H12OH)4] (M = Cu(II), Zn(II), Co(II); Pc = phthalocyanine) are reported. The aggregation and cation binding behaviors of the phthalocyanine compounds in the presence of soft AgI and PdII metal ions were investigated by using UV–Vis spectroscopy. The new compounds have been characterized by elemental analysis, IR, 1H, 13C NMR, UV/Vis spectroscopy, ESI and MALDI–TOF–MS mass spectra. Voltammetric and in-situ spectroelectrochemical studies show that while copper and zinc phthalocyanine complexes give well-defined ring-based reduction and oxidation processes, the cobalt phthalocyanine gives both metal-based and ring-based redox processes which have reversible and diffusion controlled character.  相似文献

The synthesis of new polyfluorinated dendrimeric metallophthalocyanines (M = Zn, Ni, Co) bearing 3,5-bis(2′,3′,4′,5′,6′-pentafluorobenzyloxy)benzyloxy moieties (24) was achieved by cyclotetramerization of phthalonitrile derivative 1 in the presence of zinc, nickel or cobalt salts in DMF. All the target phthalocyanines were separated by column chromatography and their spectroscopic, fluorescence and energy transfer properties, and aggregation behavior were investigated in different solvents and at different concentrations in chloroform. The compounds were characterized by Fourier transform-infrared, fluorine, proton and carbon nuclear magnetic resonance, mass, ultraviolet–visible and fluorescence spectral data. The phthalocyanines (24) were extremely soluble in various organic solvents, such as tetrahydrofuran, acetone and dichloromethane.  相似文献

Metal free (2), manganese (3), and cobalt (4) phthalocyanines, which are octa-substituted at the peripheral positions with [4-(thiophen-3-yl)-phenoxy] moieties, were synthesized and electrochemical properties were reported for the first time. The complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, IR, 1H NMR, mass spectroscopy, and electronic spectroscopies. Electrochemical and spectroelectrochemical measurements exhibit that incorporation of the redox active metal ions, CoII and MnIIIOAc, into the phthalocyanine core extends the redox richness of the Pc ring with the reversible metal-based reduction and oxidation couples in addition to the common Pc ring-based electron transfer processes. Presence of molecular oxygen in the electrolyte system causes to form π-oxo MnPc complexes, which alter the voltammetric and spectroelectrochemical responses of the complex. An in situ electrocolorimetric method has been applied to investigate the color of the electro-generated anionic and cationic forms of the complexes for possible electrochromatic applications.  相似文献

The effects of introducing gallium and indium metals into phthalocyanine molecules were investigated via temperature and frequency dependent dielectric spectroscopy. The dielectric properties of Ga(III) and In(III) phthalocyanine pellets were measured at frequencies from 1 kHz to 1 MHz in the temperature range 300-530 K. The temperature dependence of the real part of the dielectric constant suggested that these compounds exhibit semiconductor behavior. The activation energy values were calculated from the Arrhenius plots at different frequencies. A distinct transition in these plots indicated the activation of ionic conductivity at higher temperatures.  相似文献

Two new axially disubstituted silicon(IV) phthalocyanines 1 and 2 have been synthesized by treating silicon phthalocyanine dichloride with 1-adamantanemethanol or 1-adamamtaneethanol, respectively. The crystal structure of compound 2 has been characterized by X-ray diffraction analysis. Both compounds are efficient singlet-oxygen generator with a quantum yield of 0.40-0.43. With two rigid bulky adamantane moieties at the axial positions, these phthalocyanines not only are essentially non-aggregated in common solvents, but also exhibit a high photostability. They are about 100 times more stable than zinc phthalocyanine under the same irradiation conditions. With the goal of enhancing the biocompatibilities, interactions and conjugations of these two compounds with bovine serum albumin have also been investigated.  相似文献

This work reports on the electrocatalytic oxidation of hydroxide using different central metal ion phthalocyanines and porphyrins immobilized on gold electrodes. The apparent electrocatalytic activity of cobalt phthalocyanine or porphyrin modified electrodes was found to be the greatest among the present series of metal ion macrocycles investigated. Copper and unmetallated phthalocyanine or porphyrin modified electrodes show no electrocatalytic behaviour towards hydroxide, such as bare gold. A possible mechanism for the enhanced reactivity of cobalt ion macrocycles towards the oxygen evolution is given. It is also stated that the electrocatalytic activity towards an adsorbate involves several aspects, such as the coordination state of the central metal ion, the nature of the ligand, the stability of the complexes, the number of d electrons, the energy of orbitals and the strength of the bonding between the central metal ion and the axial ligand.  相似文献

In this study, we report a new ligand, 6-hexyloxy-3-[p-(3′,4′-dicyanophenoxy)phenyl]coumarin, and its fluorescent tetrasubstituted phthalocyanines {M[Pc(OBzCou)4], M = 2H, Zn(II), Co(II); Bz: Benzene}. The effect of the coumarin derivative on the intensity of the fluorescence spectra of the metal-free (H2Pc) and zinc phthalocyanine (ZnPc) derivatives was investigated. The change of the emission properties of both the coumarin moieties and the phthalocyanine core in the presence of the metal ion and the ring-opening reaction of the coumarin were studied by means of steady-state fluorescence spectroscopy. The radiative decay of the Pcs and the treated coumarin substituents bound to the Pcs was examined. The novel chromogenic compounds were characterized by elemental analysis, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, Maldi-TOF, IR and UV–Vis spectral data. The photophysical properties of the Pcs are extensively affected by their state of aggregation: in particular, dimerization and aggregation result in a remarkable modification of the absorption and emission bands and may induce significant quenching of the usually strong Pc fluorescence. The electronic spectra exhibit a band of coumarin identity together with characteristic Q and B bands of the phthalocyanine core.  相似文献

Synthesis of non-substituted metal phthalocyaninates starting from phthalonitrile in various non-aqueous solvents in the presence of elemental copper and nickel, supported in alumina, is described. Special attention is paid to phthalocyanine formation at relatively low temperatures (20–50°C). It is shown that the presence of supported elemental metals increases the rate of PcM formation.  相似文献

A novel type of ionophore ligands, 3′-(2,3-dihydroxypropylthio)-phthalonitrile and 4′(2,3-dihydroxypropylthio)-phthalonitrile, and their α- and β-tetrasubstituted metallo phthalocyanines, (MPc), (M = ZnII, CoII, MnIIICl, FeIIIAc, CuII) have been prepared and fully characterized by elemental analysis, FT-IR, 1H and 13C NMR, and MS (ESI and Maldi-TOF). The complexes are soluble in both polar and non-polar solvents, such as MeOH and EtOH, THF, CHCl3 and CH2Cl2. The spectroscopic properties of the complexes are affected strongly by the electron-donating sulfanyl units on the periphery of the phthalocyanines. The cation binding properties of the complexes, for example using AgI and PdII, were evaluated by UV-Vis spectroscopy and the results show the formation of polynuclear phthalocyanine complexes. Functional donors on the periphery of the zinc and copper complexes coordinate to AgI and PdII to give ca. a 2:1 metal-phthalocyanine complex binding ratio for the concentration of 2.5 × 10−5 M (Pc) and 1.0 × 10−3 M (Metal ions). Voltammetric and in-situ spectroelectrochemical studies were performed to characterize the redox behavior of the complexes. An in-situ electrocolorimetric method was applied to investigate the colors of the electro-generated anionic and cationic forms of the complexes.  相似文献

Our efforts toward the development of the synthesis of a novel type of receptor ligand and its tetrasubstituted phthalocyanines, 2,9,16,23-tetrakis(6-hydroxyhexylsulfanyl) phthalocyanine, M[Pc(S–C6H13OH)4] (M = Zn(II), Cu(II), Co(II)), bearing sulfur and oxygen donor atoms on the periphery together with hexyl moieties, have been carried out together with spectroscopic and electrochemical characterization. The newly synthesized functional phthalocyanines were soluble in MeOH, EtOH, THF, DMF, CNP (α-chloronapthalene), DMSO and quinoline, and less soluble in i-PrOH and CH3CN. Cation binding abilities of the functional phthalocyanines with Ag+, Pd2+, Hg2+ and Cd2+, resulting in the formation of polynuclear phthalocyanine complexes, were evaluated by UV–Vis spectroscopic techniques. The spectroscopic properties of the complexes were affected strongly by the electron-donating sulfanyl units on the periphery. The cyclic voltammetry of the complexes were examined on a platinum electrode in DMSO. The new synthesized compounds have been characterized by elemental analysis, FTIR, 1H and 13C NMR, MS (ESI and MALDI-TOF) and UV–Vis spectral data.  相似文献

The BePc(4-Mepy), MgPc(4-Mepy)2 were recrystallised from wet 4-picoline and the aqua M((II) phthalocyaninato complexes, BePcH2O · (4-Mepy) (Ia), (MgPcH2O · (4-Mepy))2 (IIa) and (MgPcH2O · (4-Mepy)2) · (4-Mepy) (IIb), have been obtained. Recrystallisation of ZnPc(4-Mepy) in wet 4-picoline yields the β-ZnPc in microcrystalline form. The Ia, IIa and IIb complexes were obtained in crystalline form. The composition of the Mg complexes (IIa and IIb) depends on the crystallisation temperature. The BePcH2O · (4-Mepy) compound crystallises in the centrosymmetric space group of the triclinic system, while both Mg complexes crystallise in the P21/n space group of the monoclinic system. In all crystals the central M(II) atom (Be and Mg) is 4 + 1 coordinated, equatorially by four N-isoindole atoms of Pc macrocycle and axially by O atom of water molecule. Interaction of the central M atom of MgPc with axially ligated water molecule leads to the saucer-shape of the Pc ring and deviates the central M(II) atom from the N4-isondole plane by 0.308(2), 0.482(2) and 0.537(2) Å in Ia, IIa and IIb, respectively. The molecules in the Ia and IIa crystals are linked together by a pair of O–H?N hydrogen bonds between the H atom of water molecule and the azamethine N atom of the other Pc into a dimeric structure, and the 4-picoline molecules are linked to the (MPcH2O)2 dimeric structure. In IIb crystal the MgPcH2O molecule is linked by O–H?N hydrogen bonds with two 4-picoline molecules, while the third 4-picoline molecule interacts only by the van der Waals forces. The O–H?N hydrogen bonding system and the π–π interactions between the aromatic Pc macrocyles are the key for the molecular arrangement and stabilisation of the structure. The stability of the solid-state complexes was analysed by thermogravimetric measurements. Only the solid-state spectrum of IIa complex exhibits an intense near IR absorption band. The spectra of IIa and IIb in solution are identical, the Q band is blue shifted in O-donor solvents comparing with the spectrum in N-donor solvents.  相似文献

The synthesis of three new TTF-annulated phthalocyanine (Pc) derivatives 5a-c are described. All of them have been characterized by elemental analysis, IR and UV-vis spectroscopy. In all cases, the incorporation of long and flexible aliphatic side-chains into the rigid TTF-annulated Pc core did not promote the formation of a discotic mesophase.  相似文献
