利用冷靶反冲离子动量谱仪,对低能He2+-He碰撞反应中产生的反冲靶离子和炮弹离子进行了符合测量,根据反冲靶离子的动量,研究了转移电离过程中的电荷转移机理.实验结果表明:在20—40 keV能量范围内,靶原子上的一个电子俘获到炮弹离子的基态,另一个电子直接发射到靶的连续态的直接电离及另一个电子俘获到炮弹离子的连续态的过程(ECC)是最主要的转移电离机理,且ECC过程主要发生在大碰撞参数条件下;炮弹离子俘获两个电子处在双激发态的自电离过程的贡献很小. 关键词: 冷靶反冲离子动量谱仪 转移电离机理 离子原子碰撞  相似文献

Employing the recoil ion momentum spectroscopy we investigate the collision between He^2+ and argon atoms. By measuring the recoil longitudinal momentum the energy losses of projectile are deduced for capture reaction channels. It is found that in most cases for single- and double-electron capture, the inner electron in the target atom is removed, the recoil ion is in singly or multiply excited states (hollow ion is formed), which indicates that electron correlation plays an important role in the process. The captured electrons prefer the ground states of the projectile. The recoil ion production cross sections in 2MeV/amu Br n++Ne0→Br n′++Ne q+ were measured using a projectile ion — recoil ion coincidence technique where the final charge states of both collisions partners were detected simultaneously. Multiple ionization was found to be the dominant process for the production of low charge state recoil ions whereas the production of highly charged recoil ions is accompanied by electron capture from the Nek-shell. The derived ratio of single to double Ne-k electron capture probabilities indicates deviations from a binomial statistics distribution.  相似文献

利用冷靶反冲离子动量谱仪装置系统研究了20—40 keV He2+-He碰撞体系的态选择单电子俘获过程,实验获得了单电子俘获过程的态选择截面以及角微分截面.在所研究的能区范围,电子俘获到L壳层的截面最大,为主要的反应道,这与分子库仑过垒模型的反应窗理论的预测一致.实验测量的态选择截面与原子轨道紧耦合的计算结果很好地符合,与光谱方法的测量结果存在一定的差别,主要原因是光谱方法不能测量完整的反应通道信息.实验结果表明,总角微分截面在小角度范围主要来源于电子俘获到基态的贡献,在大角度范围主要来自电子俘获到激发态的贡献;电子俘获到基态的和激发态的角微分截面均出现振荡结构,这种振荡来源于电子俘获反应中分子轨道之间的相干效应.实验测量的角微分截面与其他实验和紧耦合方法的计算结果进行了比较和分析. 关键词: 冷靶反冲离子动量谱仪 态选择电子俘获 态选择截面 角微分截面  相似文献

The cold-target recoil-ion momentum spectroscopy has been employed to study the single-electron-capture processes in collisions of N3+ ions with He atoms at an impact energy of 30 keV. From the longitudinal momentum spectrum of recoil ions, the different electronic configuration was identified, and the metastable projectile ions were distinguished. For the ground-state N3+(2s2 1S) projectile, the single-electron capture into the N2+(2s22p 2P) state is the dominant reaction channel, whereas for the metastable-state N3+(2s2p 3P) projectile, the single-electron capture into the N2+(2s2p2 2D) state is the main reaction channel. The fraction of the metastable-state N3+(2s2p 3P) of the incident projectile beam is about 46%. The relative differential cross sections for the capture to different orbitals of N3+ ions are obtained and are compared with other experiments at low energy and the predictions of the classical over-the-barrier model.  相似文献

The momentum distribution (or angular distribution) in inelastic heavy ion reactions is calculated by using a two-step model (“abrasion” and “ablation”). First, all nucleons in the volume element where projectile and target overlap spatially during the collision are sheared away. The remaining prefragment (the projectile minus the sheared off nucleons) has a recoil momentum proportional to the Fermi momentum. The prefragment is left in an excited state and emits nucleons, the recoil momentum given to the final fragment is proportional to the nuclear temperature. This two-step model reproduces the overall trend and the isotopic dependence for the widths of the experimental momentum distributions. Contrary to previous theoretical studies we find that surface and friction phenomena lead to an anisotropy: The momentum distributions in transverse direction are always broader than in the longitudinal direction by about 5 to 10%.  相似文献

We consider relativistic collisions of heavy hydrogenlike ions with hydrogen and helium atoms in which the ion-atom interaction causes both colliding particles to change their internal states. Concentrating on the study of the longitudinal momentum spectrum of the atomic recoil ions, we discuss the role of relativistic and higher order effects, predict a surprisingly strong influence of the projectile's electron on the momentum transfer, and show that the important information about the doubly inelastic collisions could be obtained in experiment merely by measuring the recoil momentum spectrum.  相似文献

An on-line facility to measure coincidences between the recoil ions and the scattered projectiles (SCORPION) has been designed, fabricated and commissioned at Nuclear Science Centre (NSC), New Delhi. The facility consists of a four jaw slit assembly, a time of flight (TOF) spectrometer, a parallel plate electrostatic charge analyser and a one dimensional position sensitive parallel plate avalanche counter (PPAC). Details of the design and working principles of various components and the test results obtained for the Si q+-Ar collision system are presented to highlight the performance of the system. A multiple loss of up to four electrons has been observed for 60 MeV Si4+ ions colliding with argon atoms in a single collision condition. Spectra of recoil ions detected in coincidence with a particular charge state of the scattered projectile show a bell shaped distribution as a function of the recoil charge state (r) for the electron loss events. However, the yield of recoil ions drops asr increases for the direct ionization channel. Also for electron loss, the peak of the recoil ion distribution is seen to shift to a higher recoil charge state as the number of lost electrons from the projectile increases.  相似文献

使用离线y能谱法和厚靶──厚收集箔技术测量了40MeV/u 40Ar和Cu相互作用中靶余核的生成截面和前向平均反冲射程FW值.根据电荷分布假设得到了靶余核的质量产额分布.从FW值导出了重离子碰撞中的线性动量转移.与12C+Cu和20Ne+Cu的类似结果比较指出,在相同的弹核速度下,相应于中心碰撞的相对线性动量转移随弹核质量增加而减小,但是在40Ar离子和Cu的中心碰撞中产生的复合系统的激发能比12C和20Ne离子碰撞情况下更高,达到每核子5.3MeV.  相似文献

采用冷靶反冲离子动量谱仪技术,实验测量了能量为6和8.6 keV/u N6+-Ne碰撞的单电子俘获过程,得到了主量子数n分辨的态选择截面和炮弹离子的散射角分布。实验结果表明,单电子主要被俘获到n=3和n=4的态。这与分子库仑过垒模型计算的反应窗所预测的结果符合。同时,实验获得了单电子俘获到n=3和n=4量子态的角微分截面,此结果与经典模型的计算结果存在较大差别,主要原因是碰撞反应过程的多通道耦合效应。  相似文献

We show that the recently reported momentum distribution of recoil ions from laser induced nonsequential double ionization can be interpreted as a combined effect of interelectron correlation and final state field interaction ("Volkov dressing") of the two outgoing electrons. We also find a cutoff formula for the recoil momentum that gives the maximum momenta observed in the experiments.  相似文献

The principle and technique details of recoil ion momentum imaging are discussed and summarized. The recoil ion momentum spectroscopy built at the Institute of Modern Physics (Lanzhou) is presented. The first results obtained at the setup are analyzed. For 30 keV He2+ on He collision, it is found that the capture of single electron occurs dominantly into the first excited states, and the related scattering angle results show that the ground state capture occurs at large impact parameters, while the capture into excited states occurs at small impact parameters. The results manifest the collision dynamics for the sub-femto-second process can be studied through the techniques uniquely. Finally, the future possibilities of applications of the recoil ion momentum spectroscopy in other fields are outlined. A projectile ion-recoil ion coincidence technique has been employed to study the multiple ionization and the charge transfer processes in collisions of 60–120 MeV Si q+ (q = 4−14) ions with neutral argon atoms. The relative contribution of different ionization channels, namely; direct ionization, electron capture and electron loss leading to the production of slow moving multiply charged argon recoil ions have been investigated. The data reported on the present collision system result from a direct measurement in the considered impact energy for the first time. The total ionization cross-sections for the recoil ions are shown to scale as q 1.7/E p 0.5 , where E p is the energy in MeV of the projectile and q its charge state. The recoil fractions for the cases of total- and direct ionizations are found to decrease with increasing recoil charge state j. The total ionization fractions of the recoils are seen to depend on q and to show the presence of a ‘shell-effect’ of the target. Further, the fractions are found to vary as 1/j 2 upto j = 8+. The average recoil charge state 〈j〉 increases slowly with q and with the number of lost or captured electrons from or into the projectile respectively. The projectile charge changing cross-sections σ qq are found to decrease with increasing q for loss ionization and to increase with q for direct-and capture ionization processes respectively. The physics behind various scaling rules that are found to follow our data for different ionization processes is reviewed and discussed.  相似文献

The electron captures by projectile ions from hydrogenic ions are investigated in strongly coupled semiclassical plasmas. The electron capture radius by the projectile ion is obtained by the effective screened pseudopotential model taking into account both the plasma screening and quantum effects. The semiclassical version of the Bohr-Lindhard method is applied to obtain the electron capture probability. The impact-parameter trajectory analysis is applied to the motion of the projectile ion in order to visualize the electron capture radius and capture probability as functions of the impact parameter, thermal de Broglie wavelength and Debye length. The results show that the quantum and plasma screening effects significantly reduce the electron capture probability and the capture radius. It is found that the electron capture position is shifted to the core of the projectile ion with increasing the thermal de Broglie wavelength. It is also found that the quantum effects on the electron capture probability are more significant than the collective screening effects on the electron capture probability. Double ionization of helium by electron impact is studied in a kinematical complete experiment in the threshold regime at 5 eV excess energy. As expected the recoil ion carries the full initial projectile momentum and the emitted electrons' sum momentum in average is zero. The electron emission is revealed to be completely dominated by the symmetric 120 degrees configuration predicted by many threshold theories but never observed experimentally before. Fully differential cross sections show a more complex structure than expected for a pure threshold collision dynamics.  相似文献

Cross Sections and average forward recoil range FW were measured for target residues from the interaction of Cu with 40MeV/u 40Ar ions using off-line y-ray spectroscopy.The mass yield distribution was obtained with assumption of charge distribution.The linear momentum transfer was calculated from FW values.A comparison with similar results of 12C+Cu and 20Ne+Cu reactions indicates that the fractional linear momentum transfer,corresponding to central collisions,decreases with increasing projectile mass at the same energy per nucleon. However,the excitation energy of the composite system created from the collisions of Cu with 40Ar ions reached the value of 5.3MeV /u and was higher than those from the collisions with 12C and 20Ne ions.  相似文献

We studied three-dimensional angular distributions and longitudinal momentum spectra of electrons ejected in transfer plus ionization (TI), i.e., the ejection of one and the capture of a second target electron, for ion-helium collisions. We observe a pronounced structure strongly focused opposite to the projectile beam direction, which we associate with a new correlated TI mechanism proposed recently. This process contributes significantly to the total cross sections over a broad range of perturbations η, even at η as large as 0.5, where uncorrelated TI mechanisms were thought to be dominant.  相似文献
