Small change matters: T-shaped Pt(II) complexes with less flexible substituents, than, for example, isopropyl or tert-butyl groups, on N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC) ligands allow for C-H bond activation reactions of aromatic compounds (see scheme; BAr(f)(4)(-) =tetrakis[(3,5-trifluoromethyl)phenyl]borate; F yellow, Pt red). NHC substituents that are not highly branched prevent agostic interactions and reduce the barriers to achieve the C-H bond cleavage.  相似文献

The reaction of [PtMe2(NN)] and B(C6F5)3/H2O in CF3CH2OH with arenes Ar-H gives [PtAr{HOB(C6F5)3}(LL)] if the bis(pyridyl) ligand NN forms a six-membered, but not five-membered, chelate ring; methyl-substituted arenes give selectivity for metalation of meta > para > ortho, but methoxy-substituted arenes give ortho > meta, para.  相似文献

Anhydrous cationic Pt(II) complexes [(NN)Pt(CH3)(CF3CD2OD)]+ (1, NN = ArN=C(Me)-C(Me)=NAr), which are obtained by reaction of (NN)Pt(CH3)2 with B(C6F5)3 in CF3CD2OD, activate C-H bonds of benzene and methylbenzenes, with enhanced reactivity compared to the previously prepared equilibrium mixtures with the (thermodynamically favored) aquo complexes. For methylbenzenes (toluene, p-xylene, mesitylene), activation at the aromatic and benzylic positions are kinetically competitive, but the product of the latter is strongly favored thermodynamically. This unusual trend is attributed to formation of eta3-benzyl structures, which can be observed spectroscopically for 1,4-diethylbenzene activation.  相似文献

Kinetic data for the C-H bond activation of 2-phenylpyridine by Ru(II)(carboxylate)(2)(p-cymene) I (acetate) and I' (pivalate) are available for the first time. They reveal an irreversible autocatalytic process catalyzed by the coproduct HOAc or HOPiv (acetonitrile, 27 °C). The overall reaction is indeed accelerated by the carboxylic acid coproduct and water. It is retarded by a base, in agreement with an autocatalytic process induced by HOAc or HOPiv that favors the dissociation of one carboxylate ligand from I and I' and consequently the ensuing complexation of 2-phenylpyridine (2-PhPy). The C-H bond activation initially delivers Ru(O(2)CR)(o-C(6)H(4)-Py)(p-cymene) A or A', containing one carboxylate ligand (OAc or OPiv, respectively). The overall reaction is accelerated by added acetates. Consequently, C-H bond activation (faster for acetate I than for pivalate I') proceeds via an intermolecular deprotonation of the C-H bond of the ligated 2-PhPy by the acetate or pivalate anion released from I or I', respectively. The 18e complexes A and A' easily dissociate, by displacement of the carboxylate by the solvent (also favored by the carboxylic acid), to give the same cationic complex B(+) {[Ru(o-C(6)H(4)-Py)(p-cymene)(MeCN)](+)}. Complex B(+) is reactive toward oxidative addition of phenyl iodide, leading to the diphenylated 2-pyridylbenzene.  相似文献

The reaction of [Sm{N(SiMe3)2}2(THF)2] (THF=tetrahydrofuran) with carbodiimides RN=C=NR (R=Cy, C6H3-2,6-iPr2) led to the formation of dinuclear SmIII complexes via differing C-C coupling processes. For R=Cy, the product [{(Me3Si)2N}2Sm(micro-C2N4Cy4)Sm{N(SiMe3)2}2] (1) has an oxalamidinate [C2N4Cy4]2- ligand resulting from coupling at the central C atoms of two CyNCNCy moieties. In contrast, for R=C6H3-2,6-iPr2, H transfer and an unusual coupling of two iPr methine C atoms resulted in a linked formamidinate complex, [{(Me3Si)2N}2Sm{micro-(RNC(H)N(Ar-Ar)NC(H)NR)}Sm{N(SiMe3)2}2] (2) (Ar-Ar=C6H3-2-iPr-6-C(CH3)2C(CH3)2-6'-C6H3-2'-iPr). Analogous reactions of RN=C=NR (R=Cy, C6H3-2,6-iPr2) with the SmII "ate" complex [Sm{N(SiMe2)3Na] gave 1 for R=Cy, but a novel C-substituted amidinate complex, [(THF)Na{N(R)C(NR)CH2Si(Me2)N(SiMe3)}Sm{N(SiMe3)2}2] (3), for R=C6H3-2,6-iPr2, via gamma C-H activation of a N(SiMe3)2 ligand.  相似文献

Pd-catalyzed highly para-selective C-H arylation of monosubstituted arenes (including toluene) is developed for the first time using an F(+) reagent as a bystanding oxidant. This finding provides a new retrosynthetic disconnection for para-substituted biaryl synthesis via C-H/C-H cross-coupling.  相似文献

Treatment of trans-[PtCl4(RCN)2] (R = Me, Et, Ph, NEt2) with 2 equiv of the amidine PhC(=NH)NHPh in a suspension of MeCN (R = Me), CHCl3 (R = Et, Ph), or in CHCl3 solution (R = NEt2) results in the formation of the imidoylamidine complexes trans-[PtCl4{NH=C(R)N=C(Ph)NHPh}2] (1-4) isolated in good yields (66-84%). The reaction of soluble complexes 3 and 4 with 2 equiv of Ph3P=CHCO2Me in CH2Cl2 (40 degrees C, 5 h) leads to dehydrochlorination resulting in a chelate ring closure to furnish the platinum(IV) chelates [PtCl2{NH=C(R)NC(Ph)=NPh}2] (R = Ph, 5; R = NEt2, 6), accordingly, and the phosphonium salt [Ph3PCH2CO2Me]Cl. Treatment of 5 with 3 equiv of Ph3P=CHCO2Me at 50 degrees C for 5 d resulted in only a 30% conversion to the corresponding Pt(II) complex [Pt{NH=C(NEt2)NC(Ph)=NPh}2] (15). The reduction can be achieved within several minutes, when Ph2PCH2CH2PPh2 in CDCl3 is used. When the platinum(II) complex trans-[PtCl2(RCN)2] is reacted with 2 equiv of the amidine, the imidoylamidinato complexes [PtCl(RCN){NH=C(R)NC(Ph)=NHPh}] (8-11) and [PhC(=NH)NHPh] x HCl (7) are formed. The reaction of trans-[PtCl2(RCN)2] with 4 equiv of the amidine under a prolonged reaction time or treatment of [PtCl(RCN){NH=C(R)NC(Ph)=NHPh}] (8-11) with 2 more equiv of the amidine yields the complex bearing two chelate rings [Pt{NH=C(R)NC(Ph)=NHPh}2] (12-15). The treatment of cis-[PtCl2(RCN)2] (R = Me, Et) with the amidine gives ca. 50-60% yield of [PtCl2{NH=C(R)NHC(Ph)=NHPh}] (16 and 17). All of the platinum compounds were characterized by elemental analyses; FAB mass spectrometry; IR spectroscopy; 1H, 13C{1H}, and 195Pt NMR spectroscopies, and four of them (4, 6, 8, and 15) were also characterized by X-ray crystallography. The coupling of the Pt-bound nitriles and the amidine is metal-mediated insofar as RCN and PhC(=NH)NHPh do not react in the absence of the metal centers in conditions more drastic than those of the observed reactions. The nitrile-amidine coupling reported in this work constitutes a route to the synthesis of imidoylamidine complexes, some of them exhibiting luminescent properties.  相似文献

Platinum(II) and palladium(II) complexes of the trithiacrown [9]aneS(3) containing a range of Group 15 donors are reviewed. These complexes have the general formula [M([9]aneS(3))(L(2))](n+) where L represents at least one Group 15 donor. Complexes involving pnictogens, with the exception of bismuth, are observed. The complexes generally have an elongated square pyramidal geometry with a long distance interaction to the third sulphur of the [9]aneS(3) which forms the apex of the square pyramid. This axial metal-sulphur distance is quite sensitive to the donor properties of L. Poorer donors such as Sb and As ligands show short axial distances whereas the better N donor ligands show longer distances. Pt(II) complexes of the formula [Pt([9]aneS(3))(EPh(3))(2)](2+) (E = P, As, Sb) show a considerable distortion towards a trigonal bipyramidal geometry due to intramolecular π-π interactions. Over seventy of these types of complexes have been crystallographically characterized and are discussed in this article. Other unique features of the complexes, including NMR spectroscopy, redox chemistry, and electronic spectroscopy, are also discussed.  相似文献

Reactivity, kinetic, and thermodynamic studies are reported for reactions of a rhodium(II) bimetalloradical with H(2), and with the methyl C-H bonds for a series of substrates CH(3)R (R = H, CH(3), OH, C(6)H(5)) using a m-xylyl diether tethered diporphyrin ligand. Bimolecular substrate reactions involving the intramolecular use of two metalloradical centers and preorganization of the four-centered transition state (M*...X...Y*...M) result in large rate enhancements as compared to termolecular reactions of monometalloradicals. Activation parameters and deuterium kinetic isotope effects for the substrate reactions are reported. The C-H bond reactions become less thermodynamically favorable as the substrate steric requirements increase, and the activation free energy (DeltaG++) decreases regularly as DeltaG degrees becomes more favorable. An absolute Rh-H bond dissociation enthalpy of 61.1 +/- 0.4 kcal mol(-1) is directly determined, and the derived Rh-CH(2)R BDE values increase regularly with the increase in the C-H BDE.  相似文献

The reaction of the in situ generated cyclooctene iridium(I) derivative trans-[IrCl(C8H14)(PiPr3)2] with benzene at 80 degrees C gave a mixture of the five-coordinate dihydrido and hydrido(phenyl) iridium(III) complexes [IrH2(Cl)(PiPr3)2] 2 and [IrH(C6H5)(Cl)(PiPr3)2] 3 in the ratio of about 1 : 2. The chloro- and fluoro-substituted arenes C6H5X (X = Cl, F), C6H4F2 and C6H4F(CH3) reacted also by C-H activation to afford the corresponding aryl(hydrido) iridium(III) derivatives [IrH(C6H4X)(Cl)(PiPr3)2] 7, 8, [IrH(C6H3F2)(Cl)(PiPr3)2] 9-11 and [IrH[C6H3F(CH3)](Cl)(PiPr3)2] 12, 13, respectively. The formation of isomeric mixtures had been detected by 1H, 13C, 19F and 31P NMR spectroscopy. Treatment of 3 and 7-13 with CO gave the octahedral carbonyl iridium(III) complexes [IrH(C6H3XX')(Cl)(CO)(PiPr3)2] 5, 14-20 without the elimination of the arene. The reactions of trans-[IrCl(C8H14)(PiPr3)2] with aryl ketones C6H5C(O)R (R = Me, Ph), aryl ketoximes C6H5C(NOH)R (R = Me, Ph) and benzaloxime C6H5C(NOH)H resulted in the formation of six-coordinate aryl(hydrido) iridium(III) compounds 21-25 with the aryl ligand coordinated in a bidentate kappa2-C,O or kappa2-C,N fashion. With C6H5C(O)NH2 as the substrate, the two isomers [IrH[kappa2-N,O-NHC(O)C6H5](Cl)(PiPr3)2] 26 and [IrH[kappa2-C,O-C6H4C(O)NH2](Cl)(PiPr3)2] 27 were prepared stepwise. Treatment of trans-[IrCl(C8H14)(PiPr3)2] with benzoic acid gave the benzoato(hydrido) complex [IrH[kappa2-O,O-O2CC6H5](Cl)(PiPr3)2] 29 which did not rearrange to the kappa2-C,O isomer.  相似文献

The Ru(2) and RuNi derivatives of 1,8-bis(10,15,20-trimesityl-5-porphyrinato)anthracene-a recently reported cofacial diporphyrin ligand comprising two hindered porphyrins spanned by an anthracene bridge-have been synthesized. Both Ru(2)(DPAHM) and RuNi(DPAHM) are extremely reactive species that apparently contain 14-electron Ru(II) centers and, as is the case for their monoporphyrin analog, (5,10,15,20-tetramesitylporphyrinato)ruthenium [Ru(TMP)], must be rigorously protected from oxygen, nitrogen, and other ligating agents. In addition, these electron-deficient Ru(II) porphyrins all appear to bind aromatic solvents such as benzene and toluene, the weakest ligating solvents in which these Ru(II) porphyrins have been found soluble. Ru(TMP) and its metallodiporphyrin analogs, Ru(2)(DPAHM) and RuNi(DPAHM), catalyze H(2)/D(2) exchange in benzene solution and as solids. When adsorbed on a particularly nonpolar carbon support, these Ru(II) porphyrins all manifest significant activity with respect to catalytic H(2)/D(2) exchange [approximately 40 turnovers s(-)(1), when normalized for Ru(II) content]. In addition, these molecules slowly catalyze the exchange of H(2) into deuterated aromatic hydrocarbons and, in the absence of solvent, the exchange of D(2) into CH(4). Kinetic studies of H(2)/D(2) exchange catalyzed by these Ru(II) porphyrins on carbon supports indicate that exchange is likely to be effected by one face of a single Ru(TMP) moiety. The activity of each supported catalyst was suppressed by the presence of ligands, either exogenous (CO irreversibly and N(2) reversibly) or from polar functionalities on the surface of the supporting matrix.  相似文献

Oxidative annulations for the synthesis of carbocycles were developed using a catalytic palladium(II) system. Indoles with pendant olefin tethers were oxidatively cyclized to form annulated products. Electron-rich aromatic systems were also investigated, culminating in the synthesis of benzofurans and dihydrobenzofurans by a similar protocol. These reactions were demonstrated to proceed by an initial C-H bond functionalization event, followed by olefin insertion and β-hydride elimination.  相似文献

There have been synthesized Pt(II) stereoisomeric complexes with hydroxy-α-amino acid serine (SerH = NH2CH(CH2OH)COOH is α-amino-β-hydroxypropionic acid): trans-[Pt(S-SerH)2Cl2], trans-[Pt(R-SerH)(S-SerH)Cl2] with monodentately (through NH2 group ) bound SerH and cis-, trans-[Pt(R-Ser)(S-Ser)], trans-[Pt(S-Ser)2] with bidentately bound (through groups NH2 and COO) ligands (R, S is the absolute configuration of asymmetric carbon atom). The successive phases in the synthesis of Pt(II) stereoisomeric complexes with serine were studied by 195Pt NMR spectroscopy. To identificate the compounds synthesized the method of elemental analysis, IR and NMR (195Pt, 13C, 1H) spectroscopy were used. For trans-[Pt(R-Ser)(S-Ser)] the X-ray diffraction data were obtained.  相似文献

The reactions of [Ag(NH=CMe2)2]ClO4 with cis-[PtCl2L2] in a 1:1 molar ratio give cis-[PtCl(NH=CMe2)(PPh3)2]ClO4 (1cis) or cis-[PtCl(NH=CMe2)2(dmso)]ClO4 (2), and in 2:1 molar ratio, they produce [Pt(NH=CMe2)2L2](ClO4)2 [L = PPh3 (3), L2= tbbpy = 4,4'-di-tert-butyl-2,2'-dipyridyl (4)]. Complex 2 reacts with PPh3 (1:2) to give trans-[PtCl(NH=CMe2)(PPh3)2]ClO(4) (1trans). The two-step reaction of cis-[PtCl2(dmso)2], [Au(NH=CMe2)(PPh3)]ClO4, and PPh3 (1:1:1) gives [SP-4-3]-[PtCl(NH=CMe2)(dmso)(PPh3)]ClO4 (5). The reactions of complexes 2 and 4 with PhICl2 give the Pt(IV) derivatives [OC-6-13]-[PtCl3(NH=CMe2)(2)(dmso)]ClO4 (6) and [OC-6-13]-[PtCl2(NH=CMe2)2(dtbbpy)](ClO4)2 (7), respectively. Complexes 1cis and 1trans react with NaH and [AuCl(PPh3)] (1:10:1.2) to give cis- and trans-[PtCl{mu-N(AuPPh3)=CMe2}(PPh3)2]ClO4 (8cis and 8trans), respectively. The crystal structures of 4.0.5Et2O.0.5Me2CO and 6 have been determined; both exhibit pseudosymmetry.  相似文献
