The Cauchy problem for a degenerate parabolic equation with a source and inhomogeneous density of the form
$\rho (x)\frac{{\partial u}}{{\partial t}} = div(u^{m - 1} \left| {Du} \right|^{\lambda - 1} Du) + \rho (x)u^p $
is studied. Time global existence and nonexistence conditions are found for a solution to the Cauchy problem. Exact estimates of the solution are obtained in the case of global solvability.

In this paper we prove the following theorem: Let \(\Omega \subset \mathbb {R}^{n}\) be a bounded open set, \(\psi \in C_{c}^{2}(\mathbb {R}^{n})\), \(\psi > 0\) on \(\partial \Omega \), be given boundary values and u a nonnegative solution to the problem
$$\begin{aligned}&u \in C^{0}(\overline{\Omega }) \cap C^{2}(\{u> 0\}) \\&u = \psi \quad \text { on } \; \partial \Omega \\&{\text {div}} \left( \frac{Du}{\sqrt{1 + |Du|^{2}}}\right) = \frac{\alpha }{u \sqrt{1 + |Du|^{2}}} \quad \text { in } \; \{u > 0\} \end{aligned}$$
where \(\alpha > 0\) is a given constant. Then \(u \in C^{0, \frac{1}{2}} (\overline{\Omega })\). Furthermore we prove strict mean convexity of the free boundary \(\partial \{u = 0\}\) provided \(\partial \{u = 0\}\) is assumed to be of class \(C^{2}\) and \(\alpha \ge 1\).

We consider the generalized Korteweg-de Vries (gKdV) equation with the time oscillating nonlinearity:
$${\partial}_t u+{\partial}_x^3 u+ g(\omega t) {\partial}_x (|u|^{p-1}u)= 0, \quad (t, x) \in \mathbb{R} \times \mathbb{R}.$$
Under the suitable assumption on g, we show that if the nonlinear term is mass critical or supercritical i.e., \({p \geq 5}\) and \({u(0) \in \dot{H}^{s_{p}}}\), where \({s_{p} = 1/2 - 2/(p-1)}\) is a scale critical exponent, then there exists a unique global solution to (gKdV) provided that \({|\omega|}\) is sufficiently large. We also obtain the behavior of the solution to (gKdV) as \({|\omega| \to \infty}\).

The present article is concerned with the following nonlocal elliptic equation involving concave and convex terms,
$$\begin{array}{ll}- M \left(\int_\Omega \frac{1}{p(x)}|\nabla u|^{p(x)}{\rm d}x\right)\Big(\Delta_{p(x)}u\Big) \!&=\! \lambda \big(g(x)|u|^{q(x)-2}u\!-\!h(x)\\ &\quad |u|^{r(x)-2}u\big), \quad x\in \Omega,\\ & u = 0,\quad x\in \partial\Omega. \end{array}$$
By means of the variational approach, we prove that the above problem admits a sequence of infinitely many solutions under suitable assumptions.

We study positive solutions of the following polyharmonic equation with Hardy weights associated to Navier boundary conditions on a half space:?????(-?)~mu(x)=u~p(x)/|x|~s,in R_+~n,u(x)=-?u(x)=…=(-?)~(m-1)u(x)=0,on ?R_+~n,(0.1)where m is any positive integer satisfying 02mn.We first prove that the positive solutions of(0.1)are super polyharmonic,i.e.,(-?)~iu0,i=0,1,...,m-1.(0.2) For α=2m,applying this important property,we establish the equivalence between (0.1) and the integral equation u(x)=c_n∫R_+~n(1/|x-y|~(n-α)-1/|x~*-y|~(n-α))u~p(y)/|y|~sdy,(0.3) where x~*=(x1,...,x_(n-1),-x_n) is the reflection of the point x about the plane R~(n-1).Then,we use the method of moving planes in integral forms to derive rotational symmetry and monotonicity for the positive solution of(0.3),in whichαcan be any real number between 0 and n.By some Pohozaev type identities in integral forms,we prove a Liouville type theorem—the non-existence of positive solutions for(0.1).  相似文献

Given \(1\le q \le 2\) and \(\alpha \in \mathbb {R}\), we study the properties of the solutions of the minimum problem
$$\begin{aligned} \lambda (\alpha ,q)=\min \left\{ \dfrac{\displaystyle \int _{-1}^{1}|u'|^{2}dx+\alpha \left| \int _{-1}^{1}|u|^{q-1}u\, dx\right| ^{\frac{2}{q}}}{\displaystyle \int _{-1}^{1}|u|^{2}dx}, u\in H_{0}^{1}(-1,1),\,u\not \equiv 0\right\} . \end{aligned}$$
In particular, depending on \(\alpha \) and q, we show that the minimizers have constant sign up to a critical value of \(\alpha =\alpha _{q}\), and when \(\alpha >\alpha _{q}\) the minimizers are odd.

In this paper we study a Dirichlet-to-Neumann operator with respect to a second order elliptic operator with measurable coefficients, including first order terms, namely, the operator on \(L^2(\partial \Omega )\) given by \(\varphi \mapsto \partial _{\nu }u\) where u is a weak solution of
$$\begin{aligned} \left\{ \begin{aligned}&-\mathrm{div}\, (a\nabla u) +b\cdot \nabla u -\mathrm{div}\, (cu)+du =\lambda u \ \ \text {on}\ \Omega ,\\&u|_{\partial \Omega } =\varphi . \end{aligned} \right. \end{aligned}$$
Under suitable assumptions on the matrix-valued function a, on the vector fields b and c, and on the function d, we investigate positivity, sub-Markovianity, irreducibility and domination properties of the associated Dirichlet-to-Neumann semigroups.

The goal of this paper is to establish singular Adams type inequality for biharmonic operator on Heisenberg group. As an application, we establish the existence of a solution to
$$\Delta_{\mathbb{H}^n}^2 u=\frac{f(\xi,u)}{\rho(\xi)^a}\,\,\text{ in}\Omega,\,\, u|_{\partial\Omega}=0=\left.\frac{\partial u}{\partial\nu}\right|_{\partial\Omega},$$
where \({0\in \Omega \subseteq \mathbb{H}^4}\) is a bounded domain, \(0 \leq a \leq Q,\,(Q=10).\) The special feature of this problem is that it contains an exponential nonlinearity and singular potential.

We prove the \(C^{1,\beta }\)-boundary regularity and a comparison principle for weak solutions of the problem

where \(\Omega \) is a bounded domain in \(\mathbb {R}^{N},N>1\ \)with smooth boundary \(\partial \Omega ,\ \ \Delta _{p}u=\mathrm{div}(|\nabla u|^{p-2}\nabla u),\psi _{p}(u)=|u|^{p-2}u,p>1,\ \)and f is allowed to be unbounded.

Let \(\Omega \subset \mathbb {R}^\nu \), \(\nu \ge 2\), be a \(C^{1,1}\) domain whose boundary \(\partial \Omega \) is either compact or behaves suitably at infinity. For \(p\in (1,\infty )\) and \(\alpha >0\), define
$$\begin{aligned} \Lambda (\Omega ,p,\alpha ):=\inf _{\begin{array}{c} u\in W^{1,p}(\Omega )\\ u\not \equiv 0 \end{array}}\dfrac{\displaystyle \int _\Omega |\nabla u|^p \mathrm {d} x - \alpha \displaystyle \int _{\partial \Omega } |u|^p\mathrm {d}\sigma }{\displaystyle \int _\Omega |u|^p\mathrm {d} x}, \end{aligned}$$
where \(\mathrm {d}\sigma \) is the surface measure on \(\partial \Omega \). We show the asymptotics
$$\begin{aligned} \Lambda (\Omega ,p,\alpha )=-(p-1)\alpha ^{\frac{p}{p-1}} - (\nu -1)H_\mathrm {max}\, \alpha + o(\alpha ), \quad \alpha \rightarrow +\infty , \end{aligned}$$
where \(H_\mathrm {max}\) is the maximum mean curvature of \(\partial \Omega \). The asymptotic behavior of the associated minimizers is discussed as well. The estimate is then applied to the study of the best constant in a boundary trace theorem for expanding domains, to the norm estimate for extension operators and to related isoperimetric inequalities.

We consider the equation \(-\Delta u = |u| ^{\frac{4}{n-2}}u + \varepsilon f(x) \) under zero Dirichlet boundary conditions in a bounded domain \(\Omega \) in \(\mathbb {R}^{n}\), \(n \ge 3\), with \(f\ge 0\), \(f\ne 0\). We find sign-changing solutions with large energy. The basic cell in the construction is the sign-changing nodal solution to the critical Yamabe problem
$$\begin{aligned} -\Delta w = |w|^{\frac{4}{n-2}} w, \quad w \in {\mathcal D}^{1,2} (\mathbb {R}^n) \end{aligned}$$

In this paper, we are concerned with the following nonlocal problem
$$\begin{aligned} -\Delta u+u=q(x)\left( \int _{\mathbb {R}^N}\frac{q(y)|u(y)|^p}{|x-y|^{N-\alpha }}\mathrm{d}y\right) |u|^{p-2}u,\quad x\in \mathbb {R}^N, \end{aligned}$$
where \(N\ge 3, \alpha \in ((N-4)_+,N), 2\le p<\frac{N+\alpha }{N-2}\) and q(x) is a given potential. Using comparison arguments and variational approach, we obtain the existence of positive ground-state solution for the Choquard-type equations with some restrictions on the potential q.

We study the following integral type operator
$T_g (f)(z) = \int\limits_0^{z_{} } { \cdots \int\limits_0^{z_n } {f(\zeta _1 , \ldots ,\zeta _n )} g(\zeta _1 , \ldots ,\zeta _n )d\zeta _1 , \ldots ,\zeta _n } $
in the space of analytic functions on the unit polydisk U n in the complex vector space ?n. We show that the operator is bounded in the mixed norm space
, with p, q ∈ [1, ∞) and α = (α1, …, αn), such that αj > ?1, for every j = 1, …, n, if and only if \(\sup _{z \in U^n } \prod\nolimits_{j = 1}^n {\left( {1 - \left| {z_j } \right|} \right)} \left| {g(z)} \right| < \infty \). Also, we prove that the operator is compact if and only if \(\lim _{z \to \partial U^n } \prod\nolimits_{j = 1}^n {\left( {1 - \left| {z_j } \right|} \right)} \left| {g(z)} \right| = 0\).

The purpose of this work is the analysis of the solutions to the following problems related to the fractional p-Laplacian in a Lipschitzian bounded domain \({\Omega \subset \mathbb{R}^N}\),
$$\left\{\begin{array}{lll}-\int_{\mathbb{R}^N}\frac{|u(y)-u(x)|^{p-2}(u(y)-u(x))}{|x-y|^{\alpha p}}\;dy=f(x,u)\;\;&x\in \Omega,\\ u=g(x) &x\in\mathbb{R}^N\setminus \Omega,\end{array}\right.$$
where \({\alpha\in(0,1)}\) and the exponent p goes to infinity. In particular we will analyze the cases:
  1. (i)
    \({f=f(x).}\)

  2. (ii)
    \({f=f(u)=|u|^{\theta(p)-1} u \, {\rm with} \, 0 < \theta(p) < p -1 \, {\rm and} \, \lim_{p\to\infty}\frac{\theta(p)}{p-1}=\Theta < 1 \, {\rm with} \, g \geq 0.}\)

We show the convergence of the solutions to certain limit as \({p\to\infty}\) and identify the limit equation. In both cases, the limit problem is closely related to the Infinity Fractional Laplacian:
$$\mathcal{L}_\infty v(x)=\mathcal{L}_\infty^+ v(x)+\mathcal{L}_\infty^- v(x),$$
where
$$\mathcal{L}_\infty^+ v(x)=\sup_{y\in\mathbb{R}^N}\frac{v(y)-v(x)}{|y-x|^\alpha}, \quad \mathcal{L}_\infty^- v(x)=\inf_{y\in\mathbb{R}^N}\frac{v(y)-v(x)}{|y-x|^\alpha}.$$

In this article we study the problem
$$\begin{aligned} \Delta ^{2}u-\left( a+b\int _{\mathbb {R}^{N}}\left| \nabla u\right| ^{2}dx\right) \Delta u+V(x)u=\left| u\right| ^{p-2}u\ \text { in }\mathbb {R}^{N}, \end{aligned}$$
where \(\Delta ^{2}:=\Delta (\Delta )\) is the biharmonic operator, \(a,b>0\) are constants, \(N\le 7,\) \(p\in (4,2_{*})\) for \(2_{*}\) defined below, and \(V(x)\in C(\mathbb {R}^{N},\mathbb {R})\). Under appropriate assumptions on V(x), the existence of least energy sign-changing solution is obtained by combining the variational methods and the Nehari method.

We study, in the semiclassical limit, the singularly perturbed nonlinear Schrödinger equations
$$\begin{aligned} L^{\hbar }_{A,V} u = f(|u|^2)u \quad \hbox {in}\quad \mathbb {R}^N \end{aligned}$$
(0.1)
where \(N \ge 3\), \(L^{\hbar }_{A,V}\) is the Schrödinger operator with a magnetic field having source in a \(C^1\) vector potential A and a scalar continuous (electric) potential V defined by
$$\begin{aligned} L^{\hbar }_{A,V}= -\hbar ^2 \Delta -\frac{2\hbar }{i} A \cdot \nabla + |A|^2- \frac{\hbar }{i}\mathrm{div}A + V(x). \end{aligned}$$

Here, f is a nonlinear term which satisfies the so-called Berestycki-Lions conditions. We assume that there exists a bounded domain \(\Omega \subset \mathbb {R}^N\) such that
$$\begin{aligned} m_0 \equiv \inf _{x \in \Omega } V(x) < \inf _{x \in \partial \Omega } V(x) \end{aligned}$$
and we set \(K = \{ x \in \Omega \ | \ V(x) = m_0\}\). For \(\hbar >0\) small we prove the existence of at least \({\mathrm{cupl}}(K) + 1\) geometrically distinct, complex-valued solutions to (0.1) whose moduli concentrate around K as \(\hbar \rightarrow 0\).

In this paper, we investigate solutions of the hyperbolic Poisson equation \(\Delta _{h}u(x)=\psi (x)\), where \(\psi \in L^{\infty }(\mathbb {B}^{n}, {\mathbb R}^n)\) and
$$\begin{aligned} \Delta _{h}u(x)= (1-|x|^2)^2\Delta u(x)+2(n-2)\left( 1-|x|^2\right) \sum _{i=1}^{n} x_{i} \frac{\partial u}{\partial x_{i}}(x) \end{aligned}$$
is the hyperbolic Laplace operator in the n-dimensional space \(\mathbb {R}^n\) for \(n\ge 2\). We show that if \(n\ge 3\) and \(u\in C^{2}(\mathbb {B}^{n},{\mathbb R}^n) \cap C(\overline{\mathbb {B}^{n}},{\mathbb R}^n )\) is a solution to the hyperbolic Poisson equation, then it has the representation \(u=P_{h}[\phi ]-G_{ h}[\psi ]\) provided that \(u\mid _{\mathbb {S}^{n-1}}=\phi \) and \(\int _{\mathbb {B}^{n}}(1-|x|^{2})^{n-1} |\psi (x)|\,d\tau (x)<\infty \). Here \(P_{h}\) and \(G_{h}\) denote Poisson and Green integrals with respect to \(\Delta _{h}\), respectively. Furthermore, we prove that functions of the form \(u=P_{h}[\phi ]-G_{h}[\psi ]\) are Lipschitz continuous.
