The principle of maximum conformality (PMC) has been suggested to eliminate the renormalization scheme and renormalization scale uncertainties, which are unavoidable for the conventional scale setting and are usually important errors for theoretical estimations. In this paper, by applying PMC scale setting, we analyze two important inclusive Standard Model Higgs decay channels, $H\rightarrow b\bar{b}$ and $H\rightarrow gg$ , up to four-loop and three-loop levels, respectively. After PMC scale setting, it is found that the conventional scale uncertainty for these two channels can be eliminated to a high degree. There is small residual initial scale dependence for the Higgs decay widths due to unknown higher-order $\{\beta _i\}$ terms. Up to four-loop level, we obtain $\Gamma (H\rightarrow b\bar{b}) = 2.389\pm 0.073 \pm 0.041$ MeV and up to three-loop level, we obtain $\Gamma (H\rightarrow gg) = 0.373\pm 0.030$ MeV, where the first error is caused by varying $M_H=126\pm 4$ GeV and the second error for $H\rightarrow b\bar{b}$ is caused by varying the $\overline{\mathrm{MS}}$ -running mass $m_b(m_b)=4.18\pm 0.03$ GeV. Taking $H\rightarrow b\bar{b}$ as an example, we present a comparison of three BLM-based scale-setting approaches, e.g. the PMC-I approach based on the PMC–BLM correspondence, the $R_\delta $ -scheme and the seBLM approach, all of which are designed to provide effective ways to identify non-conformal $\{\beta _i\}$ -series at each perturbative order. At four-loop level, all those approaches lead to good pQCD convergence, they have almost the same pQCD series, and their predictions are almost independent on the initial renormalization scale. In this sense, those approaches are equivalent to each other.  相似文献

We calculate the combined angular-distribution functions of the polarized photons ( $\gamma _1$ and $\gamma _2$ ) and electron ( $e^-$ ) produced in the cascade process $\bar{p}p\rightarrow {^3{D_3}}\rightarrow {^3{P_2}}+\gamma _1 \rightarrow (\psi +\gamma _2)+\gamma _1\rightarrow (e^++e^-)+\gamma _1+\gamma _2$ , when the colliding $\bar{p}$ and $p$ are unpolarized. Our results are independent of any dynamical models and are expressed in terms of the spherical harmonics whose coefficients are functions of the angular-momentum helicity amplitudes of the individual processes. Once the joint angular distribution of ( $\gamma _1$ , $\gamma _2$ ) and that of ( $\gamma _2$ , $e^-$ ) with the polarization of either one of the two particles are measured, our results will enable one to determine the relative magnitudes as well as the relative phases of all the angular-momentum helicity amplitudes in the radiative decay processes ${^3{D_3}}\rightarrow {^3{P_2}}+\gamma _1$ and ${^3{P_2}}\rightarrow \psi +\gamma _2$ .  相似文献

We study the photoproduction of the charged top-pion predicted by the top triangle moose (TTM) model (a deconstructed version of the topcolor-assisted technicolor TC2 model) via the processes $pp\rightarrow p \gamma p \rightarrow \pi ^\pm _t t +X$ at the 14 TeV Large Hadron Collider (LHC) including next-to-leading order (NLO) QCD corrections. Our results show that the production cross sections and distributions are sensitive to the free parameters $\sin \omega $ and $M_{\pi _t}$ . A typical QCD correction value is $7{-}11~\%$ and this does not depend much on $\sin \omega $ as well as the forward detector acceptances.  相似文献

We analyze the time-like processes $ \gamma\gamma\rightarrow B\overline{B}$ and $ p\bar{p}\rightarrow\gamma M$ at large Mandelstam variables within the handbag approach, for which the process amplitudes factorize in hard partonic subprocesses and annihilation form factors. The latter represent moments of baryon-antibaryon generalized parton distributions (GPDs). Symmetry relations restrict the number of independent annihilation form factors for the ground state baryons drastically. We determine these form factors from the present BELLE data on $ \gamma\gamma\rightarrow B\overline{B}$ with the help of simplifying assumptions. The knowledge of these form factors allow for predictions of $ p\bar{p}\rightarrow\gamma M$ for various mesons which may be probed at FAIR.  相似文献

We discuss the formalism of the two Higgs doublet model of type III with CP violation from CP-even CP-odd mixing in the neutral Higgs bosons. The flavor-changing interactions among neutral Higgs bosons and fermions are presented at tree level in this type of model. These assumptions allow the study of rare top decays mediated by a neutral Higgs boson; particularly we are interested in $t\rightarrow c l^+l^-$ . For this process we estimate the upper bounds of the branching ratios $\mathrm{Br }(t\rightarrow c \tau ^+\tau ^-)$ of the order of $10^{-9}\sim 10^{-7}$ for a neutral Higgs boson mass equal to 125 GeV and $\tan \beta =1$ , 1.5, 2, 2.5. For the case of $t\rightarrow c \tau ^+\tau ^-$ the number of possible events is estimated to range from 1 to 10 events, which could be observed in future experiments at LHC with a luminosity of 300  $\hbox {fb}^{-1}$ and 14 TeV for the energy of the center of mass. Also we estimate that the number of events for the process $t\rightarrow c l^+l^-$ in different scenarios is of the order of 2,500.  相似文献

Let $Z_N$ be the number of self-avoiding paths of length $N$ starting from the origin on the infinite cluster obtained after performing Bernoulli percolation on ${\mathbb Z} ^d$ with parameter $p>p_c({\mathbb Z} ^d)$ . The object of this paper is to study the connective constant of the dilute lattice $\limsup _{N\rightarrow \infty } Z_N^{1/N}$ , which is a non-random quantity. We want to investigate if the inequality $\limsup _{N\rightarrow \infty } (Z_N)^{1/N} \le \lim _{N\rightarrow \infty } {\mathbb E} [Z_N]^{1/N}$ obtained with the Borel–Cantelli Lemma is strict or not. In other words, we want to know if the quenched and annealed versions of the connective constant are equal. On a heuristic level, this indicates whether or not localization of the trajectories occurs. We prove that when $d$ is sufficiently large there exists $p^{(2)}_c>p_c$ such that the inequality is strict for $p\in (p_c,p^{(2)}_c)$ .  相似文献

We calculate the standard model predictions for top quark pair production and decay into six fermions at a linear e+e- collider. We include the factorizable electroweak $\mathcal{O}(\alpha)$ corrections in the pole approximation and QED corrections due to the initial state radiation in the structure function approach. The effects of the radiative corrections on the predictions are illustrated by showing numerical results for two selected six-fermion reactions $e^+e^-\rightarrow b\nu_{\mu}\mu^+\bar{b}\mu^-\bar{\nu}_\mu$ and $e^+e^-\rightarrow b\nu_{\mu}\mu^+\bar{b}d\bar{u}$ .  相似文献

We review and update our results for $K\rightarrow \pi \pi $ decays and $K^0$ $\bar{K}^0$ mixing obtained by us in the 1980s within an analytic approximate approach based on the dual representation of QCD as a theory of weakly interacting mesons for large $N$ , where $N$ is the number of colors. In our analytic approach the Standard Model dynamics behind the enhancement of $\hbox {Re}A_0$ and suppression of $\hbox {Re}A_2$ , the so-called $\Delta I=1/2$ rule for $K\rightarrow \pi \pi $ decays, has a simple structure: the usual octet enhancement through the long but slow quark–gluon renormalization group evolution down to the scales $\mathcal{O}(1\, {\hbox { GeV}})$ is continued as a short but fast meson evolution down to zero momentum scales at which the factorization of hadronic matrix elements is at work. The inclusion of lowest-lying vector meson contributions in addition to the pseudoscalar ones and of Wilson coefficients in a momentum scheme improves significantly the matching between quark–gluon and meson evolutions. In particular, the anomalous dimension matrix governing the meson evolution exhibits the structure of the known anomalous dimension matrix in the quark–gluon evolution. While this physical picture did not yet emerge from lattice simulations, the recent results on $\hbox {Re}A_2$ and $\hbox {Re}A_0$ from the RBC-UKQCD collaboration give support for its correctness. In particular, the signs of the two main contractions found numerically by these authors follow uniquely from our analytic approach. Though the current–current operators dominate the $\Delta I=1/2$ rule, working with matching scales $\mathcal{O}(1 \, {\hbox { GeV}})$ we find that the presence of QCD-penguin operator $Q_6$ is required to obtain satisfactory result for $\hbox {Re}A_0$ . At NLO in $1/N$ we obtain $R=\hbox {Re}A_0/\hbox {Re}A_2= 16.0\pm 1.5$ which amounts to an order of magnitude enhancement over the strict large $N$ limit value $\sqrt{2}$ . We also update our results for the parameter $\hat{B}_K$ , finding $\hat{B}_K=0.73\pm 0.02$ . The smallness of $1/N$ corrections to the large $N$ value $\hat{B}_K=3/4$ results within our approach from an approximate cancelation between pseudoscalar and vector meson one-loop contributions. We also summarize the status of $\Delta M_K$ in this approach.  相似文献

In this article, we study the ${3\over 2}^{+}$ heavy and doubly heavy baryon states $\varXi^{*}_{cc}$ , $\varOmega^{*}_{cc}$ , $\varXi^{*}_{bb}$ , $\varOmega^{*}_{bb}$ , $\varSigma_{c}^{*}$ , $\varXi_{c}^{*}$ , $\varOmega_{c}^{*}$ , $\varSigma_{b}^{*}$ , $\varXi_{b}^{*}$ and $\varOmega_{b}^{*}$ by subtracting the contributions from the corresponding ${3\over 2}^{-}$ heavy and doubly heavy baryon states with the QCD sum rules, and we make reasonable predictions for their masses.  相似文献

There are four types of two-Higgs doublet models under a discrete \(Z_2\) symmetry imposed to avoid tree-level flavor-changing neutral current, i.e. type-I, type-II, type-X, and type-Y models. We investigate the possibility to discriminate the four models in the light of the flavor physics data, including \(B_s\) \(\bar{B}_s\) mixing, \(B_{s,d} \rightarrow \mu ^+ \mu ^-\) , \(B\rightarrow \tau \nu \) and \(\bar{B} \rightarrow X_s \gamma \) decays, the recent LHC Higgs data, the direct search for charged Higgs at LEP, and the constraints from perturbative unitarity and vacuum stability. After deriving the combined constraints on the Yukawa interaction parameters, we have shown that the correlation between the mass eigenstate rate asymmetry \(A_{\Delta \Gamma }\) of \(B_{s} \rightarrow \mu ^+ \mu ^-\) and the ratio \(R=\mathcal{B}(B_{s} \rightarrow \mu ^+ \mu ^-)_\mathrm{exp}/ \mathcal{B}(B_{s} \rightarrow \mu ^+ \mu ^-)_\mathrm{SM}\) could be a sensitive probe to discriminate the four models with future precise measurements of the observables in the \(B_{s} \rightarrow \mu ^+ \mu ^-\) decay at LHCb.  相似文献

We compute the normalization of the form factor entering the $B_{s}\rightarrow D_{s}\ell \nu $ decay amplitude by using numerical simulations of QCD on the lattice. From our study with $N_\mathrm{f}=2$ dynamical light quarks, and by employing the maximally twisted Wilson quark action, we obtain in the continuum limit ${\mathcal {G}}(1)= 1.052(46)$ . We also compute the scalar and tensor form factors in the region near zero recoil and find $f_0(q_0^2)/f_+(q_0^2)=0.77(2)$ , $f_T(q_0^2,m_b)/f_+(q_0^2)=1.08(7)$ , for $q_0^2=11.5\ \mathrm{GeV}^2$ . The latter results are useful for searching the effects of physics beyond the Standard Model in $B_{s}\rightarrow D_{s}\ell \nu $ decays. Our results for the similar form factors relevant to the non-strange case indicate that the method employed here can be used to achieve the precision determination of the $B\rightarrow D\ell \nu $ decay amplitude as well.  相似文献

Observing light-by-light scattering at the large hadron collider (LHC) has received quite some attention and it is believed to be a clean and sensitive channel to possible new physics. In this paper, we study the diphoton production at the LHC via the process \({{pp}}\rightarrow {{p}}\gamma \gamma {{p}}\rightarrow {{p}}\gamma \gamma {{p}}\) through graviton exchange in the large extra dimension (LED) model. Typically, when we do the background analysis, we also study the double Pomeron exchange of \(\gamma \gamma \) production. We compare its production in the quark–quark collision mode to the gluon–gluon collision mode and find that contributions from the gluon–gluon collision mode are comparable to the quark–quark one. Our result shows, for extra dimension \(\delta =4\) , with an integrated luminosity \(\mathcal{L} = 200\,\mathrm{fb}^{-1}\) at the 14 TeV LHC, that diphoton production through graviton exchange can probe the LED effects up to the scale \({M}_{S}=5.06 (4.51, 5.11)\,\mathrm{TeV}\) for the forward detector acceptance \(\xi _1 (\xi _2, \xi _3)\) , respectively, where \(0.0015<\xi _1<0.5\) , \(0.1<\xi _2<0.5\) , and \(0.0015<\xi _3<0.15\) .  相似文献

Trivalent holmium-doped K–Sr–Al phosphate glasses ( $\mathrm{P}_{2}\mathrm{O}_{5}$ $\mathrm{K}_{2}\mathrm{O}$ –SrO– $\mathrm{Al}_{2}\mathrm{O}_{3}$ $\mathrm{Ho}_{2}\mathrm{O}_{3}$ ) were prepared, and their spectroscopic properties have been evaluated using absorption, emission, and excitation measurements. The Judd–Ofelt theory has been used to derive spectral intensities of various absorption bands from measured absorption spectrum of 1.0 mol% $\mathrm{Ho}_{2}\mathrm{O}_{3}$ -doped K–Sr–Al phosphate glass. The Judd–Ofelt intensity parameters ( $\varOmega_{\lambda}$ , $\times10^{-20}~\mathrm{cm}^{2}$ ) have been determined of the order of $\varOmega_{2} = 11.39$ , $\varOmega_{4} = 3.59$ , and $\varOmega_{6} = 2.92$ , which in turn used to derive radiative properties such as radiative transition probability, radiative lifetime, branching ratios, etc. for excited states of $\mathrm{Ho}^{3+}$ ions. The radiative lifetimes for the ${}^{5}F_{4}$ , ${}^{5}S_{2}$ , and ${}^{5}F_{5}$ levels of $\mathrm{Ho}^{3+}$ ions are found to be 169, 296, and 317 μs, respectively. The stimulated emission cross-section for 2.05-μm emission was calculated by the McCumber theory and found to be $9.3\times10^{-2 1}~\mathrm{cm}^{2}$ . The wavelength-dependent gain coefficient with population inversion rate has been evaluated. The results obtained in the titled glasses are discussed systematically and compared with other $\mathrm{Ho}^{3+}$ -doped systems to assess the possibility for visible and infrared device applications.  相似文献

We prove that self-avoiding walk on ${\mathbb{Z}^d}$ is sub-ballistic in any dimension d ≥ 2. That is, writing ${\| u \|}$ for the Euclidean norm of ${u \in \mathbb{Z}^d}$ , and ${\mathsf{P_{SAW}}_n}$ for the uniform measure on self-avoiding walks ${\gamma : \{0, \ldots, n\} \to \mathbb{Z}^d}$ for which γ 0 = 0, we show that, for each v > 0, there exists ${\varepsilon > 0}$ such that, for each ${n \in \mathbb{N}, \mathsf{P_{SAW}}_n \big( {\rm max}\big\{\| \gamma_k \| : 0 \leq k \leq n\big\} \geq vn \big) \leq e^{-\varepsilon n}}$ .  相似文献

Finding the evidence of new physics beyond the Standard Model is one of the primary goals of RunII of the Tevatron. Many dedicated searches for new physics are ongoing at the Tevatron but in order to broaden the scope and maximize the chances of finding the new physics, we also search in a model-independent way. The results of such searches for indications of new physics at the electroweak scale are presented using data collected using the D0 detector from $p\bar{p}$ -interactions at $\sqrt {s} = 1.96$ ?TeV.  相似文献

Let ${Y_{m|n}^{\ell}}$ be the super Yangian of general linear Lie superalgebra for ${\mathfrak{gl}_{m|n}}$ . Let ${e \in \mathfrak{gl}_{m\ell|n\ell}}$ be a “rectangular” nilpotent element and ${\mathcal{W}_e}$ be the finite W-superalgebra associated to e. We show that ${Y_{m|n}^{\ell}}$ is isomorphic to ${\mathcal{W}_e}$ .  相似文献

We calculate the amplitude of $gg\to b\bar{b}$ production for the colour singlet, J z =0, di-gluon state at $\mathcal{O}(\alpha_{\mathrm{S}}^{2})$ order. We consider the cancellation and a realistic cut-off, of the infrared divergent terms. We show that the one-loop radiative QCD contributions effectively reduce the Born level result for the central exclusive $b\bar{b}$ cross section at the LHC. This process is essentially the only irreducible QCD background to the exclusive $H\to b\bar{b}$ signal.  相似文献

In this paper we show how the ATHENA data samples on the antihydrogen ( ${\bar{\rm H}}$ ) formation in very different conditions provide useful information on the two different possible mechanisms: the 3-body reaction ( $\bar{p}+{e^+}+{e^+}\rightarrow {\bar{\rm H}}+ e^+$ ) and the 2-body reaction ( $\bar{p}+{\rm e^+}\rightarrow {\bar{\rm H}}+{h\nu}$ ).  相似文献

$(\mathrm{In}_{1-x}\mathrm{Fe}_{x})_{2}\mathrm{O}_{3}$ $(x=0.07, 0.09, 0.16, 0.22, 0.31)$ films were deposited on Si (100) substrates by RF-magnetron sputtering technique. The influence of Fe doping on the local structure of films was investigated by X-ray absorption spectroscopy (XAS) at Fe K-edge and L-edge. For the $(\mathrm{In}_{1-x}\mathrm{Fe}_{x})_{2}\mathrm{O}_{3}$ films with $x=0.07, 0.09 \mbox{ and } 0.16$ , Fe ions dissolve into $\mathrm{In}_{2}\mathrm{O}_{3}$ and substitute for $\mathrm{In}^{3+}$ sites with a mixed-valence state ( $\mathrm{Fe}^{2+}/\mathrm{Fe}^{3+}$ ) of Fe ions. However, a secondary phase of Fe metal clusters is formed in the $(\mathrm{In}_{1-x}\mathrm{Fe}_{x})_{2}\mathrm{O}_{3}$ films with $x=0.22 \mbox{ and } 0.31$ . The qualitative analyses of Fe-K edge extended X-ray absorption fine structure (EXAFS) reveal that the Fe–O bond length shortens and the corresponding Debye–Waller factor ( $\sigma^{2}$ ) increases with the increase of Fe concentration, indicating the relaxation of oxygen environment of Fe ions upon substitution. The anomalously large structural disorder and very short Fe–O distance are also observed in the films with high Fe concentration. Linear combination fittings at Fe L-edge further confirm the coexistence of $\mathrm{Fe}^{2+}$ and $\mathrm{Fe}^{3+}$ with a ratio of ${\sim}3:2$ ( $\mathrm{Fe}^{2+}: \mathrm{Fe}^{3+}$ ) for the $(\mathrm{In}_{1-x}\mathrm{Fe}_{x})_{2}\mathrm{O}_{3}$ film with $x=0.16$ . However, a significant fraction ( ${\sim}40~\mbox{at\%}$ ) of the Fe metal clusters is found in the $(\mathrm{In}_{1-x}\mathrm{Fe}_{x})_{2}\mathrm{O}_{3}$ film with $x=0.31$ .  相似文献
