The reaction of two equiv of the monomeric ether-phosphine O,P ligand (MeO)(3)Si(CH(2))(3)(Ph)PCH(2)-Do [1a(T(0)()), 1b(T(0)())] {Do = CH(2)OCH(3) [1a(T(0)())], CHCH(2)CH(2)CH(2)O [1b(T(0)())]} with PdCl(2)(COD) yields the monomeric palladium(II) complexes Cl(2)Pd(P approximately O)(2) [2a(T(0)())(2)(), 2b(T(0)())(2)()]. The compounds 2a(T(0)())(2)() and 2b(T(0)())(2)() are sol-gel processed with variable amounts (y) of Si(OEt)(4) (Q(0)()) to give the polysiloxane-bound complexes 2a(T(n)())(2)()(Q(k)())(y)(), 2b(T(n)())(2)()(Q(k)())(y)() (Table 1) {P approximately O = eta(1)-P-coordinated ether-phosphine ligand; for T(n)() and Q(k)(), y = number of condensed T type (three oxygen neighbors), Q type (four oxygen neighbors) silicon atoms; n and k = number of Si-O-Si bonds; n = 0-3; k = 0-4; 2a(T(n)())(2)()(Q(k)())(y)(), 2b(T(n)())(2)()(Q(k)())(y)() = {[M]-SiO(n)()(/2)(OX)(3)(-)(n)()}(2)[SiO(k)()(/2)(OX)(4)(-)(k)()](y)(), [M] = (Cl(2)Pd)(1/2)(Ph)P(CH(2)Do)(CH(2))(3)-, X = H, Me, Et}. The complexes 2b(T(n)())(2)()(Q(k)())(y)() (y = 4, 12, 36) show high activity and selectivity in the hydrogenation of 1-hexyne and tolan. The dicationic complexes [Pd(P&arcraise;O)(2)][SbF(6)](2) [3a(T(0)())(2)(), 3b(T(0)())(2)()] are formed by reacting Cl(2)Pd(P approximately O)(2) with 2 equiv of a silver salt {P&arcraise;O = eta(2)-O&arcraise;P-coordinated ether-phosphine ligand; 3a(T(0)())(2)(), 3b(T(0)())(2)() = [M]-SiOMe(3); [M] = {[Pd(2+)](1/)(2)P(Ph)(CH(2)CH(2)OCH(3))(CH(2))(3)-}{SbF(6)} (a), {[Pd(2+)](1/)(2)P(Ph)(CH(2)CHCH(2)CH(2)CH(2)O)(CH(2))(3)-}{SbF(6)} (b)}. Their polysiloxane-bound congeners 3a(T(n)())(2)(), 3b(T(n)())(2)() {[M]-SiO(n)()(/2)(OX)(3)(-)(n)} are obtained if a volatile, reversible bound ligand like acetonitrile is employed during the sol-gel process. The bis(chelate)palladium(II) complexes 3a(T(n)())(2)(), 3b(T(n)())(2)() are catalytic active in the solvent-free CO-ethene copolymerization, producing polyketones with chain lengths comparable to those obtained with chelating diphosphine ligands. The polysiloxane-bound palladium(0) complexes 5a(T(n)())(2)()(Q(k)())(4)(), 5b(T(n)())(2)()(Q(k)())(4)() {[M]-SiO(n)()(/)(2)(OX)(3)(-)(n)}(2)[SiO(k)()(/2)(OX)(4)(-)(k)](4), [M] = [(dba)Pd](1/)(2)P(Ph)(CH(2)Do)(CH(2))(3)-} undergo an oxidative addition reaction with iodobenzene in an interphase with formation of the complexes PhPd(I)(P approximately O)(2).4SiO(2) [6a(T(n)())(2)()(Q(k)())(4)(), 6b(T(n)())(2)()(Q(k)())(4)()] {[M]-SiO(n)()(/)(2)(OX)(3)(-)(n)](2)[SiO(k)()(/2)(OX)(4)(-)(k)](4), [M] = [PhPd(I)](1/2)P(Ph)(CH(2)Do)(CH(2))(3)-}, which insert carbon monoxide into the palladium-aryl bond even in the solid state.  相似文献

The reaction between equimolar amounts of Pt(3)(mu-PBu(t)()(2))(3)(H)(CO)(2), Pt(3)()H, and CF(3)SO(3)H under CO atmosphere affords the triangular species [Pt(3)(mu-PBu(t)()(2))(3)(CO)(3)]X, [Pt(3)()(CO)(3)()(+)()]X (X = CF(3)SO(3)(-)), characterized by X-ray crystallography, or in an excess of acid, [Pt(6)(mu-PBu(t)()(2))(4)(CO)(6)]X(2), [Pt(6)()(2+)()]X(2)(). Structural determination shows the latter to be a rare hexanuclear cluster with a Pt(4) tetrahedral core formed by joining the unbridged sides of two orthogonal Pt(3) triangles. The dication Pt(6)()(2+)() features also extensive redox properties as it undergoes two reversible one-electron reductions to the congeners [Pt(6)(mu-PBu(t)()(2))(4)(CO)(6)](+) (Pt(6)()(+)(), E(1/2) = -0.27 V) and Pt(6)(mu-PBu(t)()(2))(4)(CO)(6) (Pt(6)(), E(1/2) = -0.54 V) and a further quasi-reversible two-electron reduction to the unstable dianion Pt(6)()(2)()(-)() (E(1/2) = -1.72 V). The stable radical (Pt(6)()(+)()) and diamagnetic (Pt(6)()) species are also formed via chemical methods by using 1 or 2 equiv of Cp(2)Co, respectively; further reduction of Pt(6)()(2+)() causes fast decomposition. The chloride derivatives [Pt(6)(mu-PBu(t)()(2))(4)(CO)(5)Cl]X, (Pt(6)()Cl(+)())X, and Pt(6)(mu-PBu(t)()(2))(4)(CO)(4)Cl(2), Pt(6)()Cl(2)(), observed as side-products in some electrochemical experiments, were prepared independently. The reaction leading to Pt(3)()(CO)(3)()(+)() has been analyzed with DFT methods, and identification of key intermediates allows outlining the reaction mechanism. Moreover, calculations for the whole series Pt(6)()(2+)() --> Pt(6)()(2)()(-)()( )()afford the otherwise unknown structures of the reduced derivatives. While the primary geometry is maintained by increasing electron population, the system undergoes progressive and concerted out-of-plane rotation of the four phosphido bridges (from D(2)(d)() to D(2) symmetry). The bonding at the central Pt(4) tetrahedron of the hexanuclear clusters (an example of 4c-2e(-) inorganic tetrahedral aromaticity in Pt(6)()(2+)()) is explained in simple MO terms.  相似文献

Photoelectron spectroscopy is combined with ab initio calculations to study the microsolvation of the dicyanamide anion, N(CN)(2)(-). Photoelectron spectra of [N(CN)(2)(-)](H2O)n (n = 0-12) have been measured at room temperature and also at low temperature for n = 0-4. Vibrationally resolved photoelectron spectra are obtained for N(CN)(2)(-), allowing the electron affinity of the N(CN)2 radical to be determined accurately as 4.135 +/- 0.010 eV. The electron binding energies and the spectral width of the hydrated clusters are observed to increase with the number of water molecules. The first five waters are observed to provide significant stabilization to the solute, whereas the stabilization becomes weaker for n > 5. The spectral width, which carries information about the solvent reorganization upon electron detachment in [N(CN)(2)(-)](H2O)n, levels off for n > 6. Theoretical calculations reveal several close-lying isomers for n = 1 and 2 due to the fact that the N(CN)(2)(-) anion possesses three almost equivalent hydration sites. In all the hydrated clusters, the most stable structures consist of a water cluster solvating one end of the N(CN)(2)(-) anion.  相似文献

Homoleptic copper(I) and silver(I) complexes [M(n)(L-L)(2)(n)()](BF(4))(n)() (M = Cu or Ag; L-L = MeECH(2)EMe; E = S, Se or Te) have been prepared and characterized by analysis, FAB mass spectrometry, and IR and multinuclear NMR spectroscopy ((1)H, (77)Se, (125)Te, (63)Cu and (109)Ag). The single-crystal X-ray structures of [Cu(n)()(MeSeCH(2)SeMe)(2)(n)()](PF(6))(n)() (orthorhombic, P2(1)2(1)2(1), a = 10.879(7) ?, b = 16.073(7) ?, c = 9.19(1) ?, Z = 4) and [Ag(n)()(MeSeCH(2)SeMe)(2)(n)()](BF(4))(n)() (monoclinic, P2(1)/c, a = 14.546(9) ?, b = 14.65(1) ?, c = 30.203(9) ?, Z = 4) reveal extended three-dimensional cationic frameworks in the solid state which contain large cylindrical or rectangular channels accommodating the PF(6)(-) or BF(4)(-) counterions. In contrast, a single-crystal X-ray structure of [Cu(n)()(MeSCH(2)SMe)(2)(n)()](PF(6))(n)().nMeNO(2) (orthorhombic, Pbcn, a = 15.506(3) ?, b = 8.934(2) ?, c = 25.859(3) ?, Z = 8) shows tetrahedral Cu(I) ions coordinated to bridging dithioethers forming an cationic ribbon-like arrangement of 8-membered rings. Adjacent rings are linked by the Cu atoms. Variable temperature NMR studies have been used to probe various exchange processes occurring in solution in these systems.  相似文献

Two types of Ln(II)-Co(4) isocarbonyl polymeric arrays, [(Et(2)O)(3)(-)(x)()(THF)(x)()Ln[Co(4)(CO)(11)]]( infinity ) (1-3; x = 0, 1) and [(THF)(5)Eu[Co(4)(CO)(11)]]( infinity ) (4), were prepared and structurally characterized. Transmetalation involving Ln(0) and Hg[Co(CO)(4)](2) in Et(2)O yields [(Et(2)O)(3)Ln[Co(4)(CO)(11)]]( infinity ) (1, Ln = Yb; 2, Ln = Eu). Dissolution of the solvent-separated ion pairs [Ln(THF)(x)()][Co(CO)(4)](2) (Ln = Yb, x = 6; Ln = Eu) in Et(2)O affords [(Et(2)O)(2)(THF)Yb[Co(4)(CO)(11)]]( infinity ) (3) and [(THF)(5)Eu[Co(4)(CO)(11)]]( infinity ) (4). In these reactions, oxidation and condensation of the [Co(CO)(4)](-) anions result in formation of the new tetrahedral cluster [Co(4)(CO)(11)](2)(-). The two types of Ln(II)-Co(4) compounds contain different isomers of [Co(4)(CO)(11)](2)(-), and, consequently, the structures of the infinite isocarbonyl networks are distinct. The cluster in [(Et(2)O)(3)(-)(x)()(THF)(x)()Ln[Co(4)(CO)(11)]]( infinity ) (1-3) possesses pseudo C(3)(v)() symmetry (an apical Co, three basal Co atoms; one face-bridging, three edge-bridging, seven terminal carbonyls) and connects to Ln(II) centers through eta(2),micro(4)- and eta(2),micro(3)-carbonyls to generate a 2-D puckered sheet. In contrast, [(THF)(5)Eu[Co(4)(CO)(11)]]( infinity ) (4) incorporates a C(2)(v)() symmetric cluster (two unique Co environments; two face-bridging, one edge-bridging, eight terminal carbonyls), and isocarbonyl linkages (eta(2),micro(4)-carbonyls) to Eu(II) atoms create a 1-D zigzag chain. Complexes 1-4 contain the first reported eta(2),micro(4)-CO bridges between a Ln and a transition-metal carbonyl cluster. Infrared spectroscopic studies revealed that the isocarbonyl associations to Ln(II) persist in solution. The solution structure and dynamic behavior of the [Co(4)(CO)(11)](2)(-) cluster in 1 was investigated by variable-temperature (59)Co and (13)C NMR spectroscopies.  相似文献

X-band single-crystal and powder EPR data were collected in the temperature range 4.2-300 K and under hydrostatic pressure up to 500 MPa for [(C(6)H(5))(3)(n-propyl)P](2)Cu(2)Cl(6) (C(42)H(44)P(2)Cu(2)Cl(6)). The crystal and molecular structure have been determined from X-ray diffraction. The compound crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2(1)/n (Z = 2) and have unit cell dimensions of a = 9.556(5) ?, b= 17.113(3) ?, c = 13.523(7) ?, and beta = 96.10(4) degrees. The structure consists of two controsymmetric Cu(2)Cl(6)(2)(-) dimers well separated by complex anions. EPR spectra are typical for the triplet S = 1 state of Cu(2)Cl(6)(2)(-) dimer with parameters g(x)() = 2.114(8), g(y)() = 2.095(8), g(z)() = 2.300(8), and D(x)() = 0.025(1) cm(-)(1), D(y)() = 0.057(1) cm(-)(1), and D(z)() = -0.082(1) cm(-)(1) at room temperature. The D tensor is dominated by a contribution from anisotropic exchange but the dipole-dipole Cu-Cu coupling is not much less. The anisotropic exchange integrals were estimated to be as follows: J(xy,x)()()2(-)(y)()()2(an) = -45 cm(-)(1), J(xy,xy)()(an) = +17 cm(-)(1), J(xy,yz)()(an) = +62 cm(-)(1). The D tensor components are strongly temperature dependent and linearly increase on cooling with an anomalous nonlinear behavior below 100 K. The D values increase linearly with pressure, but the effect is much smaller than the temperature effect. This suggests that the D vs T dependence is dynamical in origin. EPR data, a possible mechanism, and contributions to the observed dependences are discussed and compared to EPR results for similar compounds.  相似文献

The synthesis and characterization of three dinuclear copper(II) complexes and one mixed-valence tetranuclear cluster with the asymmetric imidazole-containing ligand bis(1,1'-imidazole-2-yl)(4-imidazole-4(5)-yl)-2-azabutane (biib) are described. X-ray crystallographic parameters for the copper complexes are as follows. [Cu(2)(biib)(2)(BF(4))(2)](BF(4))(2)(H(2)O)(4): triclinic, space group P&onemacr;, a = 10.178(1) ?, b = 9.4881(9) ?, c = 11.037(1) ?, alpha = 95.130(10) degrees, beta = 112.20(1) degrees, gamma = 92.142(9) degrees, and Z = 1. [Cu(2)(biib)(2)(NO(3))(2)](NO(3))(2)(H(2)O)(4): monoclinic, space group &Pmacr;2(1)/n, a = 9.207(6) ?, b = 17.0516(6) ?, c = 12.6107(7) ?, beta = 109.82(1) degrees, and Z = 2. [Cu(2)(biib)(2)(CuBr(3))(2)]: monoclinic, space group P2(1)/c, a = 11.583(2) ?, b = 11.864(2) ?, c = 16.070(2) ?, beta = 112.459(12) degrees, and Z = 2. The two Cu(II) ions in all four complexes are coordinated in a square-pyramidal geometry by three imidazole nitrogens and one amine nitrogen donor in the equatorial plane, and each copper ion is weakly coordinated at the axial position by respectively a tetrafluoroborate, a perchlorate, a nitrate, or a tribromocuprate(I) anion. By comparison of the structural data of the four complexes a relationship has been established between the donor strength of the anion and some structural features, like the Cu(II)-Cu(II) distance, of the dinuclear Cu(II)-Cu(II) unit in the four complexes. Single-crystal EPR spectra of [Cu(2)(biib)(2)(BF(4))(2)](BF(4))(2)(H(2)O)(4) were recorded at room temperature at X-band frequencies. The triplet spectra have been fit with nonparallel g and D tensors, whose principle values are as follows: g(xx)() = 2.022(8), g(yy)() = 2.060(7), g(zz)() = 2.211(8), D(x)()(')(x)()(') = -0.0182(9) cm(-)(1), D(y)()(')(y)()(') = -0.081(6) cm(-)(1), D(z)()(')(z)()(') = 0.0264(7) cm(-)(1). The compounds were further characterized and studied by ligand field and by frozen-solution and polycrystalline powder EPR spectroscopy. EPR spectra recorded at 77 K of frozen solutions of the perchlorate complex show that upon dilution in methanol the dinuclear complex reacts to form a mononuclear species.  相似文献

Assessment of the cyclic electron delocalization of the oxocarbon dianions, C(n)()O(n)()(2)(-) and their neutral counterparts C(n)()O(n)() (n = 3-6), by means of structural, energetic, and magnetic criteria, shows that C(3)O(3)(2)(-) is doubly aromatic (both sigma and pi cyclic electron delocalization), C(4)O(4)(2)(-) is moderately aromatic, but C(5)O(5)(2)(-), as well as C(6)O(6)(2)(-), are less so. Localized orbital contributions, computed by the individual gauge for localized orbitals method (IGLO), to the nucleus-independent chemical shifts (NICS) allow pi effects to be disected from the sigma single bonds and other influences. The C-C(pi) contribution to (NICS(0,pi) (i.e., at the center of the ring) in oxocarbon dianions decreases with ring size but shows little ring size effect at points 1.0 A above the ring. On the basis of the same criteria, C(4)O(4) exhibits cyclic electron delocalization due to partial occupancy of the sigma CC bonds. However, the dissociation energies of all the neutral oxocarbons, C(n)()O(n)(), are highly exothermic.  相似文献

The reduction potentials (E°(Red) versus SHE) of hypercloso boron hydrides B(n)H(n) (n = 6-13) and B(12)X(12) (X = F, Cl, OH, and CH(3)) in water have been computed using the Conductor-like Polarizable Continuum Model (CPCM) and the Solvation Model Density (SMD) method for solvation modeling. The B3LYP/aug-cc-pvtz and M06-2X/aug-cc-pvtz as well as G4 level of theory were applied to determine the free energies of the first and second electron attachment (ΔG(E.A.)) to boron clusters. The solvation free energies (ΔG(solv)) greatly depend on the choice of the cavity set (UAKS, Pauling, or SMD) while the dependence on the choice of exchange/correlation functional is modest. The SMD cavity set gives the largest ΔΔG(solv) for B(n)H(n)(0/-) and B(n)H(n)(-/2-) while the UAKS cavity set gives the smallest ΔΔG(solv) value. The E°(Red) of B(n)H(n)(-/2-) (n = 6-12) with the G4/M06-2X(Pauling) (energy/solvation(cavity)) combination agrees within 0.2 V of experimental values. The experimental oxidative stability (E(1/2)) of B(n)X(n)(2-) (X = F, Cl, OH, and CH(3)) is usually located between the values predicted using the B3LYP and M06-2X functionals. The disproportionation free energies (ΔG(dpro)) of 2B(n)H(n)(-) → B(n)H(n) + B(n)H(n)(2-) reveal that the stabilities of B(n)H(n)(-) (n = 6-13) to disproportionation decrease in the order B(8)H(8)(-) > B(9)H(9)(-) > B(11)H(11)(-) > B(10)H(10)(-). The spin densities in B(12)X(12)(-) (X = F, Cl, OH, and CH(3)) tend to delocalize on the boron atoms rather than on the exterior functional groups. The partitioning of ΔG(solv)(B(n)H(n)(2-)) over spheres allows a rationalization of the nonlinear correlation between ΔG(E.A.) and E°(Red) for B(6)H(6)(-/2-), B(11)H(11)(-/2-), and B(13)H(13)(-/2-).  相似文献

The effects of homogeneous and heterogeneous solvation on the electronic structure and photodetachment dynamics of hydrated carbon dioxide cluster anions are investigated using negative-ion photoelectron imaging spectroscopy. The experiments are conducted on mass-selected [(CO(2))(n)()(H(2)O)(m)()](-) cluster anions with n and m ranging up to 12 and 6, respectively, for selected clusters. Homogeneous solvation in (CO(2))(n)()(-) has minimal effect on the photoelectron angular distributions, despite dimer-to-monomer anion core switching. Heterogeneous hydration, on the other hand, is found to have the marked effect of decreasing the photodetachment anisotropy. For example, in the [CO(2)(H(2)O)(m)()](-) cluster anion series, the photoelectron anisotropy parameter falls to essentially zero with as few as 5-6 water molecules. The analysis of the data, supported by theoretical modeling, reveals that in the ground electronic state of the hydrated clusters the excess electron is localized on CO(2), corresponding to a (CO(2))(n)()(-).(H(2)O)(m)() configuration for all cluster anions studied. The diminishing anisotropy in the photoelectron images of hydrated cluster anions is proposed to be attributable to photoinduced charge transfer to solvent, creating transient (CO(2))(n)().(H(2)O)(m)()(-) states that subsequently decay via autodetachment.  相似文献

Crystallographically independent structures possessing persubstituted cyclopentadiene and -dienyl moieties were retrieved from the Cambridge Structural Database, and the torsional angles of selected diaryl frames presented in the form of conformational plots. Semiempirical calculations of the corresponding potential energy surfaces reproduced the conformational trends observed in the solid state. By the structure correlation principle, the internal oscillations of nearest (1,2-) and next-nearest (1,3-) aryl rings in all pseudopropeller subunits were found to be only partially correlated. These solid-state data sets, in combination with energetic predictions of the molecules C(5)Ph(5)(-) (1), C(5)Ph(4)H(-) (2), C(4)Ph(4)C=O (3), and C(4)Ph(4)CH(2) (4) reveal that a delayed n-ring-flip (where n = 4 and 5 in C(n)()Ar(n)()(-)(m)()X(m)()), which is otherwise unobservable via NMR spectroscopic methods, is the threshold rotational mechanism.  相似文献

The compounds 1-5 have only azido bridging ligands. In 1-3 each manganese atom is linked to the four nearest neighbors by only end-to-end azido bridges, forming square layers. 4 and 5 show alternating end-to-end and end-on azido bridges between manganese atoms. The magnetic properties of 1-5 are reported. At high temperatures the plots of chi(M) or chi(M)T vs T for the 1-3 compounds can be fitted as homogeneous 2D systems with J = -4.9, -4.4, and -3.9 cm(-)(1) for 1-3, respectively. For 1, 3, and 5 magnetic ordering and spontaneous magnetizations is achieved below T(c) = 35, 29, and 22 K, respectively, whereas 2 and 4 do not show spontaneous magnetization up to 2 K.  相似文献

Electronic structure, spin-state, and geometrical relationships for a series of pseudotetrahedral Co(II) aryloxide, siloxide, arylthiolate, and silylthiolate complexes supported by the tris(phosphino)borate [BP(3)] ligands [PhBP(3)] and [PhBP(i)()(Pr)(3)] ([PhB(CH(2)PPh(2))(3)](-) and [PhB(CH(2)P(i)()Pr(2))(3)](-), respectively) are described. Standard (1)H NMR, optical, electrochemical, and solution magnetic data, in addition to low-temperature EPR and variable temperature SQUID magnetization data, are presented for the new cobalt(II) complexes [PhBP(3)]CoOSiPh(3) (2), [PhBP(3)]CoO(4-(t)()Bu-Ph) (3), [PhBP(3)]CoO(C(6)F(5)) (4), [PhBP(3)]CoSPh (5), [PhBP(3)]CoS(2,6-Me(2)-Ph) (6), [PhBP(3)]CoS(2,4,6-(i)()Pr(3)-Ph) (7), [PhBP(3)]CoS(2,4,6-(t)()Bu(3)-Ph) (8), [PhBP(3)]CoSSiPh(3) (9), [PhBP(3)]CoOSi(4-NMe(2)-Ph)(3) (10), [PhBP(3)]CoOSi(4-CF(3)-Ph)(3) (11), [PhBP(3)]CoOCPh(3) (12), [PhBP(i)()(Pr)(3)]CoOSiPh(3) (14), and [PhBP(i)()(Pr)(3)]CoSSiPh(3) (15). The low-temperature solid-state crystal structures of 2, 3, 5-10, 12, and 15 are also described. These pseudotetrahedral cobalt(II) complexes are classified as featuring one of two limiting distortions, either umbrella or off-axis. Magnetic and spectroscopic data demonstrate that both S = (1)/(2) and S = (3)/(2) ground-state electronic configurations are accessible for the umbrella distorted structure type, depending on the nature of the X-type ligand, its denticity (eta(1) versus eta(3)), and the tripodal phosphine ligand employed. Off-axis distorted complexes populate an S = (1)/(2) ground-state exclusively. For those four-coordinate complexes that populate S = (1)/(2) ground states, X-ray data show two Co-P bond distances that are invariably shorter than a third Co-P bond. The pseudotetrahedral siloxides 2, 10, and 11 are exceptional in that they display gradual spin crossover in the solid state. The diamagnetic cobalt(III) complex {[PhBP(3)]CoOSiPh(3)}{BAr(4)} ({16}{BAr(4)}) (Ar = Ph or 3,5-(CF(3))(2)-C(6)H(3)) has also been prepared and structurally characterized. Accompanying electronic structure calculations (DFT) for complexes 2, 6, and {16}(+) support the notion of a close electronic structure relationship between these four-coordinate systems and octahedral, sandwich, and half-sandwich coordination complexes.  相似文献

Calculations of the binding energies and electric dipole moments for the full set of complexes R(n)()(CH(3))(3)(-)(n)()N-HX (n = 0-3; X = F, Cl, Br) at the MP2/aug-cc-pVDZ level are also reported. The block localized wave function (BLW) energy decomposition method has been used to partition the binding energies into contributions from electrostatic, exchange, distortion, polarization, and charge-transfer terms. Similarly, the calculated dipole moments have been decomposed into distortion, polarization, and charge-transfer components. The complexes studied range from hydrogen-bonded systems to proton-transferred ion pairs, and the total interaction energies vary from 7 to 17 kcal/mol across the series. The individual energy components show a much wider variation than this, but cancellation of terms accounts for the relatively narrow range of net binding energies. For both the hydrogen-bonded complexes and the proton-transferred ion pairs, the electrostatic and exchange terms have magnitudes that increase with the degree of proton transfer but are of opposite sign, leaving most of the net stabilization to arise from polarization and charge transfer. In all of the systems studied, the polarization terms contribute the most to the induced dipole moment, followed by smaller but still significant contributions from charge transfer. A significant contribution to the induced moment of the ion pairs also arises from distortion of the HX monomer.  相似文献

The reaction of (CpReH(2))(2)B(4)H(4) with monoborane leads to the sequential formation of (CpRe)(2)B(n)()H(n)() (n = 7-10, 1-4). These species adopt closed deltahedra with the same total connectivities as the closo-borane anions [B(n)()H(n)()](2)(-), n = 9-12, but with flattened geometries rather than spherical shapes. These rhenaborane clusters are characterized by high metal coordination numbers, Re-Re cross-cluster distances within the Re-Re single bond range, and formal cluster electron counts three skeletal electron pairs short of that required for a canonical closo-structure of the same nuclearity. An open cluster, (CpReH)(2)B(7)H(9) (5), is isolated that bears the same structural relationship to arachno-B(9)H(15) as 1-4 bear to the closo-borane anions. Chloroborane permits the isolation of (CpReH)(2)B(5)Cl(5) (6), an isoelectronic chloro-analogue of known open (CpWH(2))(2)B(5)H(5) and (CpRe)(2)B(6)H(4)Cl(2) (7), a triple-decker complex containing a planar, six-membered 1,2-B(6)H(4)Cl(2) ring. Both are putative five- and six-boron intermediates in the formation of 1. Electronic structure calculations (extended Hückel and density functional theory) yield geometries in agreement with the structure determinations, large HOMO-LUMO gaps in accord with the high stabilities, and (11)B chemical shifts accurately reflecting the observed shifts. Analyses of the bonding in 1-4 reveal that the CpRe.CpRe interaction generates fragment orbitals that are able to contribute the "missing" three skeletal electron pairs required for skeletal bonding. The necessity of a Re.Re interaction for strong cluster bonding requires a borane fragment shape change to accommodate it, thereby explaining the noncanonical geometries. Application of the debor principle of borane chemistry to the shapes of 1-4 readily rationalizes the observed geometries of 5 and 6. This evidence of the scope of transition metal fragment control of borane geometry suggests the existence of a large class of metallaboranes with structures not found in known borane or metal clusters.  相似文献

Toluene solutions of C(60) react upon UV irradiation with Fe(2)S(2)(CO)(6) to give C(60)[S(2)Fe(2)(CO)(6)](n)() where n = 1-6. C(60)[S(2)Fe(2)(CO)(6)](n)() where n = 1-3 have been isolated and characterized. Crystallographic studies of C(60)S(2)Fe(2)(CO)(6) show that the S-S bond of the Fe(2) reagent is cleaved to give a dithiolate with idealized C(2)(v)() symmetry. The addition occurred at a 6,6 fusion, and the metrical details show that the Fe(2) portion of the molecule resembles C(2)H(4)S(2)Fe(2)(CO)(6). IR spectroscopic measurements indicate that the Fe(2)(CO)(6) subunits in the multiple-addition species (n > 1) interact only weakly. UV-vis spectra of the adducts show a shift to shorter wavelength with addition of each S(2)Fe(2)(CO)(6) unit. Photoaddition of the phosphine complex Fe(2)S(2)(CO)(5)(PPh(3)) to C(60) gave C(60)[S(2)Fe(2)(CO)(5)(PPh(3))](n)(), where n = 1-3. (31)P{(1)H} NMR studies show that the double adduct consists of multiple isomers. Photoaddition of Fe(2)S(2)(CO)(6) to C(70) gave a series of adducts C(70)[S(2)Fe(2)(CO)(6)](n)() where n = 1-4. HPLC analyses show one, four, and three isomers for the adducts, respectively.  相似文献

Theoretical examination [B3LYP/6-31G(d,p), PP/IGLO-III//B3LYP/6-31G(d,p), and NBO methods] of six-membered cyclohexane 1 and carbonyl-, thiocarbonyl-, or methylidene-containing derivatives 2-27 afforded precise structural (in particular, C-H bond distances) and spectroscopic (specifically, one-bond (1)J(C)(-)(H) NMR coupling constants) data that show the consequences of stereoelectronic hyperconjugative effects in these systems. Major observations include the following. (1) sigma(C)(-)(H)(ax)() -->(C)(=)(Y) and pi(C)(=)(Y) --> sigma(C)(-)(H)(ax)() (Y = O, S, or CH(2)) hyperconjugation leads to a shortening (strengthening) of the equatorial C-H bonds adjacent to the pi group. This effect is reflected in smaller (1)J(C)(-)(H)(ax)() coupling constants relative to (1)J(C)(-)(H)(eq)(). (2) Comparison of the structural and spectroscopic consequences of sigma(C)(-)(H)(ax)() --> pi(C)(=)(Y) hyperconjugation in cyclohexanone 2, thiocyclohexanone 3, and methylenecyclohexane 4 suggests a relative order of acceptor orbital ability C=S > C=O > C=CH(2), which is in line with available pK(a) data. (3) Analysis of the structural and spectroscopic data gathered for heterocyclic derivatives 5-12 reveals some additivity of sigma(C)(-)(H)(ax)() --> pi(C)(=)(Y), pi(C)(=)(Y) --> sigma(C)(-)(H)(ax)(), n(X) --> sigma(C)(-)(H)(ax)(), n(beta)(O) --> sigma(C)(-)(H)(eq)(), and sigma(S)(-)(C) --> sigma(C)(-)(H)(eq)() stereoelectronic effects that is, nevertheless, attenuated by saturation effects. (4) Modulation of the C=Y acceptor character of the exocyclic pigroup by conjugation with alpha-heteroatoms O, N, and S in lactones, lactams, and methylidenic analogues 13-24 results in decreased sigma(C)(-)(H)(ax)() --> pi(C)(=)(Y) and pi(C)(=)(Y) --> sigma(C)(-)(H)(ax)() hyperconjugation. (5) Additivity of sigma(C)(-)(H)(ax)() --> pi(C)(=)(Y) and pi(C)(=)(Y) --> sigma(C)(-)(H)(ax)() hyperconjugative effects is also apparent in 1,3-dicarbonyl derivative 25 (C=Y equal to C=O), 1,3-dithiocarbonyl derivative 26 (C=Y equal to C=S), and 1,3-dimethylidenic analogue 27 (C=Y equal to C=CH(2)).  相似文献

The second method for the synthesis of cis-[Ru(III)Cl(2)(cyclam)]Cl (1) (cyclam = 1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradecane), with use of cis-Ru(II)Cl(2)(DMSO)(4) (DMSO = dimethyl sulfoxide) as a starting complex, is reported together with the synthesis of [Ru(II)(cyclam)(bpy)](BF(4))(2).H(2)O (2) (bpy = 2,2'-bipyridine) from 1. The syntheses of Ru complexes of tris(2-aminoethyl)amine (tren) are also reported. A reaction between K(3)[Ru(III)(ox)(3)] (ox = oxalate) and tren affords fac-[Ru(III)Cl(3)(trenH)]Cl.(1)/(2)H(2)O (3) (trenH = bis(2-aminoethyl)(2-ammonioethyl)amine = monoprotonated tren) and (H(5)O(2))(2)[K(tren)][Ru(III)Cl(6)] (4) as major products and gives fac-[Ru(III)Cl(ox)(trenH)]Cl.(3)/(2)H(2)O (5) in very low reproducibility. A reaction between 3 and bpy affords [Ru(II)(baia)(bpy)](BF(4))(2) (6) (baia = bis(2-aminoethyl)(iminomethyl)amine), in which tren undergoes a selective dehydrogenation into baia. The crystal structures of 2-6 have been determined by X-ray diffraction, and their structural features are discussed in detail. Crystallographic data are as follows: 2, RuF(8)ON(6)C(20)B(2)H(34), monoclinic, space group P2(1)/c with a = 12.448(3) ?, b = 13.200(7) ?, c = 17.973(4) ?, beta = 104.28(2) degrees, V = 2862(2) ?(3), and Z = 4; 3, RuCl(4)O(0.5)N(4)C(6)H(20), monoclinic, space group P2(1)/a with a = 13.731(2) ?, b = 14.319(4) ?, c = 13.949(2) ?, beta = 90.77(1) degrees, V = 2742(1) ?(3), and Z = 8; 4, RuKCl(6)O(4)N(4)C(6)H(28), trigonal, space group R&thremacr; with a = 10.254(4), c = 35.03(1) ?, V = 3190(2) ?(3), and Z = 6; 5, RuCl(2)O(5.5)N(4)C(8)H(22), triclinic, space group P&onemacr; with a = 10.336(2) ?, b = 14.835(2) ?, c = 10.234(1) ?, alpha = 90.28(1) degrees, beta = 90.99(1) degrees, gamma = 92.07(1) degrees, V = 1567.9(4) ?(3), and Z = 4; 6, RuF(8)N(6)C(16)B(2)H(24), monoclinic, space group P2(1)/c, a = 10.779(2) ?, b = 14.416(3) ?, c = 14.190(2) ?, beta = 93.75(2) degrees, V = 2200.3(7) ?(3), and Z = 4. Compound 4 possesses a very unique layered structure made up of both anionic and cationic slabs, {[K(tren)](2)[Ru(III)Cl(6)]}(n)()(n)()(-) and {(H(5)O(2))(4)[Ru(III)Cl(6)]}(n)()(n)()(+) (n = infinity), in which both sheets {[K(tren)](2)}(n)()(2)(n)()(+) and {(H(5)O(2))(4)}(n)()(4)(n)()(+) offer cylindrical pores that are occupied with the [Ru(III)Cl(6)](3)(-) anions. The presence of a C=N double bond of baia in 6 is judged from the C-N distance of 1.28(2) ?. It is suggested that the structural restraint enhanced by the attachment of alkylene chelates at the nitrogen donors of amines results in either the mislocation or misdirection of the donors, leading to the elongation of the Ru-N(amine) distances and to the weakening of their trans influence. Such structural strain is also discussed as related to the spectroscopic and electrochemical properties of the cis-[Ru(II)L(4)(bpy)](2+) complexes (L(4) = (NH(3))(4), (ethylenediamine)(2), and cyclam).  相似文献

The novel dimeric germanotungstates [M(4)(H(2)O)(2)(GeW(9)O(34))(2)](12)(-) (M = Mn(2+), Cu(2+), Zn(2+), Cd(2+)) have been synthesized and characterized by IR spectroscopy, elemental analysis, magnetic measurements, and (183)W-NMR spectroscopy. X-ray single-crystal analyses were carried out on Na(12)[Mn(4)(H(2)O)(2)(GeW(9)O(34))(2)].38H(2)O (Na(12)()-1), which crystallizes in the monoclinic system, space group P2(1)/n, with a = 13.0419(8) A, b = 17.8422(10) A, c = 21.1626(12) A, beta = 93.3120(10) degrees, and Z = 2; Na(11)Cs(2)[Cu(4)(H(2)O)(2)(GeW(9)O(34))(2)]Cl.31H(2)O (Na(11)()Cs-2) crystallizes in the triclinic system, space group P, with a = 12.2338(17) A, b = 12.3833(17) A, c = 15.449(2) A, alpha = 100.041(2) degrees, beta = 97.034(2) degrees, gamma = 101.153(2) degrees, and Z = 1; Na(12)[Zn(4)(H(2)O)(2)(GeW(9)O(34))(2)].32H(2)O (Na(12)()-3) crystallizes in the triclinic system, space group P, with a = 11.589(3) A, b = 12.811(3) A, c = 17.221(4) A, alpha = 97.828(6) degrees, beta = 106.169(6) degrees, gamma = 112.113(5) degrees, and Z = 1; Na(12)[Cd(4)(H(2)O)(2)(GeW(9)O(34))(2)].32.2H(2)O (Na(12)()-4) crystallizes also in the triclinic system, space group P, with a = 11.6923(17) A, b = 12.8464(18) A, c = 17.616(2) A, alpha = 98.149(3) degrees, beta = 105.677(3) degrees, gamma = 112.233(2) degrees, and Z = 1. The polyanions consist of two lacunary B-alpha-[GeW(9)O(34)](10)(-) Keggin moieties linked via a rhomblike M(4)O(16) (M = Mn, Cu, Zn, Cd) group leading to a sandwich-type structure. (183)W-NMR studies of the diamagnetic Zn and Cd derivatives indicate that the solid-state polyoxoanion structures are preserved in solution. EPR measurements on Na(12)()-1 at frequencies up to 188 GHz and temperatures down to 4 K yield a single, exchange-narrowed peak, at g(iso) = 1.9949, typical of Mn systems, and an upper limit of |D| = 20.0 mT; its magnetization studies still await further theoretical treatment. Detailed EPR studies on Na(11)()Cs-2 over temperatures down to 2 K and variable frequencies yield g( parallel ) = 2.4303 and g( perpendicular ) = 2.0567 and A( parallel ) = 4.4 mT (delocalized over the Cu(4) framework), with |D| = 12.1 mT. Magnetization studies in addition yield the exchange parameters J(1) = -11 and J(2) = -82 cm(-)(1), in agreement with the EPR studies.  相似文献
