Recent results on the deuteron analyzing powers in dp- elastic scattering obtained at Nuclotron (JINR, Dubna) are compared with the calculations performed within relativistic multiple scattering model. The data demonstrate strong deviation form the predictions at large angles in the cms. The preliminary data on the energy dependence of the cross section in the dpppn reaction at 150–250 MeV/nucleon for different configurations and dp elastic scattering up to 1 GeV obtained at internal target station at Nuclotron are reported. The prospects of the further few-body studies at JINR are discussed.  相似文献

The preliminary results on the angular distributions of the vector A y and tensor A yy , A xx analyzing powers in dp elastic scattering at T d = 880MeV are presented. A region of center-of-mass system angles from 60° to 140° is covered. The experimental data are compared with the preliminary calculations obtained within framework of different theoretical approaches. The experiment has been performed at the Internal Target Station at Nuclotron within the framework of the program on the study of light nuclei spin structure proposed at JINR (Russia) and RIBF (Japan).  相似文献

The results on the cross-section of dp-elastic scattering reaction obtained at 500, 700 and 880 MeV at the internal target of Nuclotron are presented. The measurements have been performed using CH2 and C targets and kinematic coincidence of signals from scintillation counters. Contribution ofΔ-resonance mechanism to elastic backwardpd-scattering overT 0 =0.5–0.8 GeV range of incident energy is analyzed. As distinct from [1–3], the parameters ofNN?NΔ amplitudes in the phenomenology of one-mesonπ- andρ-exchange are determined frompp→pnπ + reaction immediately in the kinematic region where the processpd→dp occurs. It has been found as a result that in the vicinity of the region whereΔ-isobar is present on-mass-shell, the coherent sum of the amplitudes ofΔ-resonance mechanism, relativistic one-nucleon exchange and single scattering predicts thepd→dp cross-section to be twice smaller than the experimental one and does not describe the tensor polarization oft 20 deuteron. Possible causes of this discrepancy as well as the relation between the mechanisms ofpd→dp process and the data on reactions of quasi-elastic knock-out of fast deuterons by protons (p,pd) from light nuclei, are discussed.  相似文献

A complex of detection equipment based on scintillation detectors for investigating dp elastic scattering at the internal target of the Nuclotron developed in the framework of the Deuteron Spin Structure (DSS) project is presented. One of the basic tasks of the Delta-Sigma Experiment project is to measure the energy dependences in the GeV region of the neutron beam of spin dependent NN observables A 00kk (np), A 00nn (np), and R dp . These observables are determined by measuring proton yields in the charge-exchange reaction nppn at an angle of 0° using the magnetic spectrometer of the Delta-Sigma setup. The magnetic field map of the analyzing magnet of the setup spectrometer was measured in order to precisely determine the charge exchange proton momenta. The Delta-Sigma setup is situated in building 205 of the Laboratory of High Energies of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research. The spectrometer magnet 2-SP-94 in 1V channel has external dimensions of 2.95 × 2.12 × 1.62 m and an aperture (occupied by the beam) of 0.30 × 0.09 m. A three-component Hall probe was used to measure the magnetic field. The volume of measurements was 0.33 × 0.0645 × 1.02 m. In this paper, the measuring equipment, measurement procedure, and results used in processing and analyzing the physical data obtained are described.  相似文献

The correlation between the asymptotic normalization constant for the deuteron, AS, and the neutron-proton scattering length for the triplet case, at, is investigated. It is found that 99.7% of the asymptotic constant AS is determined by the scattering length at. It is shown that the linear correlation between the quantities A S ?2 and 1/at provides a good test of correctness of various models of nucleon-nucleon interaction. It is revealed that, for the normalization constant AS and for the root-mean-square deuteron radius rd, the results obtained with the experimental value recommended at present for the triplet scattering length at are exaggerated with respect to their experimental counterparts. By using the latest experimental data obtained for phase shifts by the group headed by Arndt, it proved to be possible to derive, for the low-energy parameters of scattering (at, rt, Pt) and for the properties of the deuteron (AS, rd) results that comply well with experimental data.  相似文献

Tensor A yy and vector A y analyzing powers in the inelastic scattering of deuterons with a momentum of 5.0 GeV/c on beryllium at an angle of 178 mrad in the vicinity of the excitation of baryonic resonances with masses up to ~ 1.8 GeV/c 2 have been measured. The A yy data are in good agreement with the previous data obtained at 4.5 and 5.5 GeV/c. The results of the experiment are compared with the predictions of the plane-wave impulse approximation and ω meson-exchange models.  相似文献

Two-jet mass distributions have been measured as a function of centre-of-mass scattering angle for high-mass jet pairs produced in proton-antiproton collisions at the CERN collider operating at a centre-of-mass energy of 630 GeV. The agreement between QCD expectations and the experimental measurements has been used to place limits on the production cross section of an object X decaying into two jets. In particular we consider the existence of a massive colour octet of vector gauge bosons (axigluons). We exclude axigluons with a width ΛA < 0.4mA and a mass mA in the range 150 < mA < 310 GeV/c2 (95% CL).  相似文献

This paper presents a theoretical and finite element (FE) investigation of the scattering characteristics of the fundamental anti-symmetric (A0) Lamb wave at delaminations in a quasi-isotropic (QI) composite laminate. Analytical models based on the Mindlin plate theory and Born approximation are presented to predict the A0 Lamb wave scattering at a delamination, which is modelled as an inhomogeneity, in an equivalent isotropic model of the QI composite laminate. The results are compared with FE predictions, in which the delamination is modelled as a volume split. The equivalent isotropic model and QI composite laminate are used to investigate the feasibility of the common theoretical approach of modelling the delamination as the inhomogeneity. A good correlation is observed between the theoretical solutions and FE results in the forward scattering amplitudes, but there exists a larger discrepancy in the backward scattering amplitudes. The FE results also show that the fibre direction of the outer laminae has a pronounced influence on the forward and backward scattering amplitudes, which is not predicted by the analytical models.  相似文献

Bounds on the asymptoticS-state amplitudeA S of the deuteron wave function are calculated as a function of assumed impulse approximation values for the quadrupole moment. Alternatively, for a given value ofA S, a bound is obtained on the minimum contribution to the experimental value ofQ D from meson-exchange currents, relativistic effects and isobar contributions. The extraction ofA S from low energy elastic nucleon-nucleon scattering data is discussed in detail.  相似文献

The nd and pd breakup differential cross sections for E N ≤ 65 MeV are examined using the energy-independent quark-model nucleon–nucleon interaction fss2. The Coulomb effect is incorporated by the sharp cut-off Coulomb force, acting between quarks, without the phase-shift renormalization for the breakup amplitudes. Our model yields the results very similar to the meson-exchange potentials, including disagreement for some specific kinematical configurations. This includes the notorious space star anomaly of the nd and pd scattering at E N  = 13 MeV. The KVI data for the breakup differential cross sections of E d  = 130 MeV dp scattering are reasonably reproduced by taking the Coulomb cut-off radius ρ = 16 fm.  相似文献

Absolute cross sections for inclusive electron scattering on H, D, Be, Al, and Si have been measured in the kinematical region 0.08 (GeV/c)2<Q 2<1.0 (GeV/c)2 and 0.3 GeV<v<6.5 GeV. The measurements have been performed at incident energies of 3, 5, 6, and 7 GeV and at the fixed scattering angle of 10°. A careful treatment of radiative corrections due to elastic electron nucleus scattering, quasielastic and inelastic scattering on the bound nucleons has been applied to the measured cross sections. The comparison of the nuclear cross sections with the elementary ones leads to a value ofA eff<A with a rapid onset of this effect at small values of the scaling variablex′.  相似文献

The tensor analyzing power A yy and the vector analyzing power A y for the inelastic scattering of 4.5-GeV/c deuterons on beryllium nuclei at angle of about 80 mrad are measured in the vicinity of baryon-resonance excitation. These new data, presented as a function of t, comply well with the results of previous 4.5-, 5.5-, and 9-GeV/c measurements at zero angle in overlapping regions of t; all available data are described by a unified dependence on |t| upto about 0.9 (GeV/c)2. The experimental results are compared with the results of calculations performed within the multiple-scattering model and the model involving omega-meson exchange in the t channel.  相似文献

The scheme of the deuteron beam polarization measurements at Nuclotron are presented. A deuteron beam polarimeter based on the spin-asymmetry measurements in the dp-elastic scattering at large angles in center-of-mass system has been constructed at the internal target station at the Nuclotron of JINR. This polarimeter is planned to use for the measurements of the vector and tensor components of deuteron beam polarizations at the energies 270–2000 MeV simultaneously. We have measured the spin correlation parameter A00nn and the polarization A00n0 for p-p elastic scattering in the c.m. angular range between 30° and 90° at seven energies between 400 and 600 MeV. The experiment was performed at SIN using a polarized beam and target and a fast on-line event reconstruction method. The results are compared with phase-shift predictions.  相似文献

A selection of dp-elastic scattering events at energies of 1.6 and 2.0 GeV by using scintillation counters has been performed. The procedure of the CH2-C subtraction has been established. The dependence of the elastic events yield on the filter thickness has been investigated. This method can be used to develop the efficient high-energy deuteron beam potarimetry.  相似文献

We explore the possibility to extract Δ(G(x) from a comparison of experimental data on the longitudinal spin-spin asymmetry A LL in diffractive scattering of the heavy photon on the proton with calculations performed in perturbative QCD (pQCD). The data could be obtained at the HERA collider in scattering of polarized leptons off polarized protons. We have found a kinematic region where contributions to A LL from soft processes are suppressed to guarantee an applicability of pQCD, hence the pQCD prediction can be reliably compared with data in this kinematic region.  相似文献
