Crystal Structure of Catena-poly-[2,2'-bisbenzimidazole Mn(Ⅱ)-μ-Benzene-1,3-dicarboxylato]

The title complex,[(BBI)Mn(BDC)]n 1(BBI = 2,2'-bisbenzimidazole(C14H10N4),BDC=benzene-1,3-dicarboxylate dianion(C8H10O4)),crystallizes in the monoclinic system,space group C2/c,with a=17.822(8),b=16.181(7),c=13.355(6),β=92.112(5)°,V=3848.67(304)3,Z=8,C22H14MnN4O4,Mr=453.31,Dc=1.565 g/cm3,F(000)=1848,μ=0.725 mm-1,S=1.000,the final R=0.0310 and wR=0.0589.1 contains hydrogen bonds and π-π stacking interactions between the neighboring aryl-ring of BBI's,which helps to form a three-dimensional crystal structure.

Hydrothermal Synthesis and Crystal Structure of An Iron（Ⅱ） Formate [H3CO3] [Fe（HCO2）3]

An iron(Ⅱ) formate [H 3 CO 3 ][Fe(HCO 2) 3 ] (1) has been synthesized under hydro-thermal conditions and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis.Complex 1 crystallizes in the orthorhombic system,space group Pnna with a=8.4130(4),b=11.8306(6),c=8.9468(4),α=106.527(4),β=105.876(4),γ=103.173(4) o,M r=253.94,V=890.48(7)3,Z=4,D c=1.894 g/cm 3,μ=1.721 mm-1,F(000)=512,R int=0.0164,the final R=0.0323 and wR=0.0998 for 979 observed reflections (I > 2σ(I)).1 exhibits a 3D open microporous framework formed by formate anions bridging Fe(Ⅱ) ions.

Synthesis and Crystal Structure of a New Dinuclear Copper(Ⅱ) Polymer: [Cu2(bipy)2(Hbtc)2(H2O)2]·(H2O)1/2

A new dinuclear copper(Ⅱ) polymer [Cu2(bipy)2(Hbtc)2(H2O)2]·(H2O)1/2 1 (bipy=2,2'-bipyridine, H3btc = benzene-1,3,5-tricarboxylic acid) was obtained by the hydrothermal single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis and identified using elemental analysis and IR spectrum.The title complex crystallizes in monoclinic system, space group P21/c with a = 7.2880(5), b =18.4778(13), c = 13.5465(10)(A), β = 95.9580(10)°, C19H14.50CuN2O7.25, Mr = 450.37, V= 1814.4(2)(A)3, Z=4, Dc = 1.649 g/cm3, μ = 1.253 mm-1, F(000) = 918, Rint = 0.0185, the final R = 0.0271and wR = 0.0710 for 2773 observed reflections (I＞2σ(I)). The study results reveal that a pair of distorted square-pyramidal Cu2+ ions are interlinked by bis-monodentate bridging Hbtc2- ligands to constitute a 16-membered ring.     

Synthesis and Crystal Structure of a Palladium(Ⅱ)Coordination Polymer [Na2Pd(2,6-pydc)2(H2O)6]n

A novel coordination polymer [Na2Pd(2,6-pydc)2(H2O)6]n (2,6-H2pyde = 2,6-pyri-dinedicarboxylie acid) has been synthesized and its crystal structure was determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The crystal belongs to the monoclinie system, space group P21/c,with a = 11.962(2), b = 6.5552(13), c = 12.673(3) A, β = 91.72(3)°, V= 993.3(3) A3,Z = 2, Mr=590.68, Dc = 1.975 g/cm3,μ=1.059 mm-1, F(000) = 592, the final R = 0.0211 and wR = 0.0454. In the crystal the Pd(Ⅱ) ion adopts a distorted four-coordinated square-planar geometry and bonds to two bidentate 2,6-pyridinedicarboxylate molecules through caronyl oxygen and pyridine nitrogen atoms. The title complex exhibits a novel three-dimensional network structure.

The compound described as [Cu(OH)2(H2O)2(4-C5H4NCOOH)2] in Chin. J. Struct. Chem.,2001, 20:478-480 is instead the compound [Cu(H2O)4(4-C5H4NCOO)2], whose crystal structure has already been published elsewhere.     

Novel Isatin-Schiff Base Cu （Ⅱ） and Ni（Ⅱ） Complexes. X-ray Crystal Structure of Bis[3-（4-hexylphenylimino）-1H-indol-2（3H）-one]- dichlorocopper（Ⅱ） Complex

Schiff base ligand （HL） derived from 4-hexylaniline with isatin （1H-indole-2,3-dione） and its complexes with Cu（Ⅱ）, Ni（Ⅱ） were prepared and characterized by analytical, spectroscopic （IR, UV-Vis, Mass） techniques, electrical conductivity, magnetic and thermal measurements. The crystal and molecular structure of [Cu（HL）2Cl2] was determined by a single-crystal X-ray diffraction study. Hydrothermal Synthesis and Crystal Structure of a New 2D Layered Cadmium(Ⅱ) Coordination Polymer:[Cd(bimc)2]n (bimc = 1H-Benzimidazole-5-carboxylate)

A newcoordination polymer [Cd(bimc)2]n was obtained by the reaction of Hbimc with Cd(NO3)2·4H2O in NaOH solution,and characterized by elemental analysis,IR and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The crystal belongs to orthorhombic, space group Pbcn with a = 12.533(4),b = 15.705(5), c = 15.200(5) (A), V= 2991.8(15) (A)3, Mr = 434.68, Z = 8, Dc = 1.930 g/cm3, F(000) =1712, μ(MoKa) = 1.492 mm-1, the final R = 0.0410 and wR = 0.0804 for 166l observed reflections (I＞2σ(I)). The Cd atom exhibits a distorted six-coordinate CdN2O4 octahedral coordination geometry. The complex molecules are linked by both μ2-(η2-O, O-), Nl and μ2-(η2-O, O-), N3 coordination modes of ligands to form cross-like wave (4, 4) layer structures which are further stacked through interlayer hydrogen bonds and π-π stacking interactions in an offset fashion to form a 3D supramolecular structure.     

Hydrothermal Synthesis,Crystal Structure and Thermal Stability of [Ni（phen）3]-（C8H12O4）-（H2O）14

One novel complex [Ni（phen）3],（C8H12O4）·（H2O）14 with hexane dicarboxylic acid and 1,10-phenanthroline has been hydrothermally synthesized and characterized. Crystal data： monoclinic, space group C2/c, a = 2.3475（5）, b = 1.2208（2）, c = 1.9499（4） nm, β= 114.682（3）°, V = 5.0778（16） nm^3, Dc = 1.339 g/cm^3, Z = 4,μ（MoKa） = 0.458 mm^-1, F（000） = 2168, GOOF = 1.014, R = 0.0401 and wR = 0.0961. The nickel（H） center in the title complex is coordinated with six nitrogen atoms of three 1,10-phenanthroline molecules, giving a distorted octahedral coordination geometry. However, the nickel（Ⅱ） ion does not coordinate to the hexane dicarboxylic acid. The complex molecules form a 3D structure through hydrogen bonds. TG analysis shows that the title complex is stable below 240.0 ℃.     

Synthesis, Crystal Structure and Characterization of α-(1-Benzimidazolyl)-hypnone Cobalt(Ⅱ) Complex:[CoCl(C7H5N2CH2COPh)4]Br

The crystal structure of [CoCl(C7H5N2CH2COPh)4]Br has been determined by means of X-ray crystallography. The molecular structure consists of a discrete [CoCl(C7H5N2CH2COPh)4] cation and one Br- anion. In the [CoCl(C7H5N2CH2COPh)4] cation, the coordination geometry of the central Co atom is square-pyramidal with four tertiary N atoms of benzimidazole from four α-(benzimidazol-1-yl)-hypnone ligands in the basal position and one chloride anion in the apical position. In the solid state, [CoCl(C7H5N2CH2COPh)4] and Br- anion possess intermolecular and intramolecular interactions, which stabilize the crystal structure. The characterization of the title compound were also carried out by using elemeutal analysis, FTIR, UV spectrometries and TG-DSC.     

Synthesis, Crystal Structure and Electrochemical Properties of One-dimensional Chain Coordination Polymer [Co（Ⅱ）（C6H5CH=CHCOOH）2（4,4＇-bipy）（H2O）5]n

A one-dimensional chain coordination polymer [Co（Ⅱ）（C6H5CH--CHCOOH）2（4,4＇- bipy）（H20）5]n has been synthesized with cinnamylic acid, 4,4＇-bipy and cobaltous chloride as raw materials. Crystal data for this complex： monoclinic, space group P21/c, a = 1.1481（3）, b = 1.1230（2）, c = 1.1759（3） nm, β = 97.054（4）^o, V= 1.5046（6） nm^3, Mr= 617.50, Dc = 1.363 g/cm^3, Z = 2, ,u（MoKa） = 0.627 mm^-1, F（000） = 646, S = 1.062, R 0.0443 and wR = 0.1178. The crystal structure shows that two neighboring cobalt（ID ions are linked together by one 4,4＇-bipy, and the whole complex molecule adopts a one-dimensional chain structure. Each cobalt（H） ion is coordinated with two nitrogen atoms from two 4,4＇-bipy molecules and four oxygen atoms from four water molecules, giving a distorted octahedral coordination geometry. The electrochemical properties were analyzed by combining with the crystal structure.     

Synthesis and Crystal Structure of 1-（4-Fluorophenyl）-2-hexylthiobenzo[4,5]-furo[3,2-d]-1,2,4-triazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidin-5（1H）-one

The crystal structure of the title compound 1-(4-fluorophenyl) -2-hexylthio-benzo [4,5]furo[3,2-d]-1,2,4-triazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidin-5(1H) -one(C23H21FN4O2S,Mr = 436.5) has been prepared and determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The crystal is of monoclinic,space group P21/n with a = 13.9854(3) ,b = 17.2678(4) ,c = 18.1828(5) ,β = 99.364(2) °,V = 4332.58(18) 3,Z = 4,Dc = 1.338,F(000) =1824,μ = 0.185 mm-1,MoKa radiation(λ = 0.71073) ,R = 0.0538 and wR = 0.1162 for 4728 observed reflections with I > 2σ(I) . X-ray diffraction analysis reveals the fused rings of benzo[4,5]furo[3,2-d]-1,2,4-triazolo[1,5-a] pyrimidin-5(1H) -one system are nearly coplanar. The crystal packing is mainly stabilized by weak intermolecular C-H···O hydrogen bond and π-π interactions.

The reactions of Co（C1O4）2·6H2O and Co（NO3）2.6H2O with the di-Schiff base ligand N,N＇-bis-（1-benzimidazo-2-yl-ethylidene）-ethane-1,2-diamine （LA） in ethanol have been investigated. The reactions of LA with excess amount of cobalt salts yield the six-coordinate complexes [CoL2]（ClO4）E·H2O 1 and [CoL2]（NO3）E·H2O 2 as isolatable products （L= N-（1- benzimidazo-2-yl-ethylidene）-ethane-1,2-diamine）, where L is a tri-dentate mono-Schiff base ligand, resulting from the hydrolysis of the precursor di-Schiff base LA. Both complexes were characterized by X-ray crystallography. Crystal data for complex 1： monoclinic, space group P21/c, a = 11.9214（10）, b = 23.5828（17）, c = 14.0387（12）A, β = 135.219（4）°, C22H30Cl2CoN8O9, Mr = 680.37, V = 2780.1（4） A^3 ,Z = 4, Dc = 1.625 g/cm^3,μ（MoKa） = 0.876 mm^-1, F（000） = 1404, the final R = 0.0725 and wR = 0.1530 for 5726 observed reflections （I 〉 2σ（I））. Crystal data for complex 2： monoclinic, space group P21/c, a = 18.2162（16）, b = 10.0610（6）, c = 18.593（2）A, β = 130.099（3）°, C22H30CoN10O7, Mr = 605.49, V = 2606.5（4） A3 Z = 4, Dc = 1.543 g/cm^3,μ（MoKa） = 0.722 mm^-1, F（000） = 1260, the final R = 0.0619 and wR = 0.1429 for 5194 observed reflections （I 〉 2σ（I））. X-ray diffraction analysis reveals that each cobalt atom in the two complexes is chelated by six nitrogen atoms from two tridentate iigands L, exhibiting a slightly distorted octahedral coordination sphere. In both complexes, the strong hydrogen-bonding interactions between the lattice waters and N-H groups of the ligands result in 1D chains which are further connected by ClO4^- （or NO3^-） groups to form a 3D framework. In complex 2, the strong π-π interactions increase the stability of the structure.     

Synthesis and Crystal Structure of the Copper（Ⅱ） Complex [Cu2Cl2（HEMDP）2]·THF

One dinuclear complex [Cu2Cl2(HEMDP) 2]·THF 1(H2EMDP = 2-[(2-hydroxyethylimino)-methyl]-4,6-diiodo-phenol,THF = tetrahydrofuran) has been designed and synthesized by H2EMDP with CuCl2·2H2O in THF solvent. Complex 1 was characterized by UV,IR,ESI-MS,and elemental analyses. 1 was characterized by X-ray crystallography. The crystal belongs to the monoclinic system,space group C2/c with a = 27.886(3) ,b = 8.6890(12) ,c = 26.698(2) ,β = 105.521(2) o,V = 6233.1(12) 3,Z = 8,Mr = 1102.01,μ = 5.533 mm-1,Dc = 2.349 Mg/m3,F(000) = 4112,the final R = 0.0486 and wR = 0.1175(I > 2σ(I)) . In addition,further investigation revealed that the central copper(Ⅱ) atom in the complex is five-coordinated by one nitrogen atom and two oxygen atoms from H2EMDP and two chlorine atoms from chlorid. The 3,5-diiodosalicylaldehyde Schiff base acts as a tridentate ligand. H2EMDP and 1 were assayed for antibacterial(B. subtilis,S. aureus,S. faecalis,P. aeruginosa,E. coli and E. cloacae) activities by MTT(3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyl trtrazolium bromide) method. 1 showed the most favorable antimicrobial activity with MICs of 3.125,6.25,6.25,12.5,3.125 and 6.25 μg/mL against B. subtilis,S. aureus,S. faecalis,P. aeruginosa,E. coli and E.cloacae,respectively.
