In this paper, we present explicit formulas for discrete orthogonal polynomials over the so-called Gauss–Lobatto Chebyshev points. In particular, this allows us to compute the coefficient in the three-terms recurrence relation and the explicit formulas for the discrete inner product. The nonlinear versions of Sturm‐Picone comparison theorem as well as Leighton's variational lemma and Leighton's theorem for regular and singular nonlinear impulsive differential equations with discontinuous solutions having fixed moments of impulse actions are established. A new result for integrals involving the product of Bessel functions and Associated Laguerre polynomials is obtained in terms of the hypergeometric function. Recently, Srivastava, Özarslan and Kaanoglu have introduced certain families of three and two variable polynomials, which include Lagrange and Lagrange-Hermite polynomials, and obtained families of two-sided linear generating functions between these families [H.M. Srivastava, M.A. Özarslan, C. Kaanoglu, Some families of generating functions for a certain class of three-variable polynomials, Integr. Transform. Spec. Funct. iFirst (2010) 1-12]. The main object of this investigation is to obtain new two-sided linear generating functions between these families by applying certain hypergeometric transformations. We introduce multiple Wilson polynomials, which give a new example of multiple orthogonal polynomials (Hermite–Padé polynomials) of type II. These polynomials can be written as a Jacobi–Piñeiro transform, which is a generalization of the Jacobi transform for Wilson polynomials, found by Koornwinder. Here we need to introduce Jacobi and Jacobi–Piñeiro polynomials with complex parameters. Some explicit formulas are provided for both Jacobi–Piñeiro and multiple Wilson polynomials, one of them in terms of Kampé de Fériet series. Finally, we look at some limiting relations and construct a part of a multiple AT-Askey table.  相似文献

We analyze the Krawtchouk polynomials K n (x,N,p,q) asymptotically. We use singular perturbation methods to analyze them for N→∞, with appropriate scalings of the two variables x and n. In particular, the WKB method and asymptotic matching are used. We obtain asymptotic approximations valid in the whole domain [0,N]×[0,N], involving some special functions. In this paper we first discuss refinement of the Ramunujan asymptotic expansion for the classical hypergeometric functionsF(a,b;c;x), c ≤a + b, near the singularityx = 1. Further, we obtain monotonous properties of the quotient of two hypergeometric functions and inequalities for certain combinations of them.
