A spectrofluorimetric method for the simultaneous determination of dysprosium, europium, gadolinium and terbium in ternary and quaternary mixtures by the use of pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylic acid as a chelating agent was developed. The influence of chemical variables affecting the analytical reaction was evaluated. A partial least-squares procedure and PC Quant software were used to assess data obtained from a variable number of calibration solutions and wavelengths. The ensuing method was validated by applying it to the analysis of synthetic ternary (Eu-Dy-Tb) and quaternary mixtures (Eu-Dy-Gd-Tb) over the concentration ranges 60-550 mug Eu l(-1), 30-400 mug Dy l(-1) and 30-400 mug Tb l(-1) in the former, and 20-220 mug Eu l(-1), 20-235 mug Dy l(-1), 25-230 mug Gd l(-1) and 75-230 mug Tb l(-1) in the latter. The results obtained by using the two quantitation procedures are compared. The relative errors in the determinations were less than 8% in most cases.  相似文献

Synchronous derivative fluorescence of samarium, europium and terbium complexes with quinaldic acid and phenanthroline was examined in aqueous solution. The composition of these complexes was determined. The maximum emission wavelengths are 645 nm, 617 nm and 545 nm for samarium, europium and terbium, respectively. Under the optimal experimental conditions, the fluorescence intensity was a linear function of concentration in the range of 10-250 ppm for samarium, 0.5-50 ppm for europium and 0.5-300 ppm for terbium. Simultaneous determination of samarium, europium and terbium was successfully carried out for samarium oxide and middle rare earth mixture. The precision of the method, expressed as relative standard deviation, is within 1.1-2.5%.  相似文献

The fluorescence intensities of terbium, europium and samarium complexes with several beta-diketone derivatives in the absence and presence of tri-n-octylphosphine oxide (TOPO) in micellar solution of nona-oxyethylene dodecyl ether (BL-9EX) were examined. The spectrophotofluorimetric determination of terbium (1.5-1500 ng/ml) has been investigated with pivaloyltrifluoroacetone (PTA) and TOPO in 0.5% micellar solution (pH 3.8-4.5) of BL-9EX. The excitation and emission wavelengths were 309 and 542 nm, respectively. Europium and samarium could be determined by a similar method.  相似文献

Summary The effect of some surfactants and protective colloids on the absorbance of the iron(III)-phenylfluorone complex has been investigated. The binary complex formed at pH 9.0 show a molar absorptivity of 7.5×104 l · mol–1 · cm–1 at 530 nm. In the presence of 2% Triton X-100, at the same pH, the molar absorptivity of the sensitized complex was 1.19×105 l · mo–1 · cm–1 at 555 nm. Full colour development of the sensitized complex occurred within 25 min and Beer's law was followed up to 0.53 ppm of iron. The molar ratio and continuous variation methods indicated a 13 metal-ligand ratio for the sensitized complex. The effect of various amounts of different ions has been studied under the experimental conditions and some masking agents were recommended. The method has been applied to the determination of iron in copper and nickel metals and some non-ferrous alloys.

Methods for simultaneous determination of europium and terbium based on concentration dependent distribution is described. With these methods, the distribution ratios of elements are measured in two types of substoichiometric systems. Possibility of determining these elements simultaneously is investigated experimentally by using two pairs of substoichiometric complexans/excess extracting agents, such as DTPA/HTTA and EDTA/HTTA. Relative errors and precisions for simultaneous determination of the elements are less than 5%.  相似文献

A rapid single-reagent spectrofluorimetric assay for salicylate in human blood plasma is reported. The method is based on ternary complex formation with terbium and EDTA in alkaline solution; it requires only 10 μl of plasma, and protein precipitation is not necessary. Within-assay relative standard deviations were better than 2.5%, and correlation with the Trinder method was excellent. The procedure is particularly suited for emergency use in cases of suspected aspirin poisoning.  相似文献

Nonionic surfactants such as Triton X-100 (TX-100) are comprised of a mixture of oligomers with a varying degree of length in the ethoxylate chain. The development of chromatographic methods for resolution of the various oligomers of TX-100 is of environmental importance, and can be useful for quality control and characterization in industrial manufacture. Capillary electrochromatography (CEC) is fast becoming a capable separation technique that combines the benefits of both high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and capillary electrophoresis (CE). This report presents a novel CEC method for separation of the various TX-100 oligomers. A comparison of monomeric vs. polymeric stationary phases for separation of TX-100 was conducted. Since the oligomers of TX-100 were better resolved on a monomeric phase as compared to polymeric phase, a systematic mobile phase tuning was performed utilizing a monomeric CEC-C18-3 microm-100 A stationary phase. Various mobile phase parameters such as acetonitrile (ACN) content, Tris concentration, pH, voltage, and temperature were manipulated in order to achieve the optimum separation of oligomers in less than 30 min.  相似文献

The europium or samarium complex with thenoyltrifluoroacetone and tri-n-octylphosphine oxide in aqueous 0.2% Triton X-100 solution at pH 3.6 is used to determine europium (1.5–760 ng ml-1) or samarium (15–1500 ng ml-1). The excitation wavelength is 352 or 372 nm; the emission wavelength is 613 or 561 nm. The procedures give better sensitivity than the corresponding extraction methods. Background  

The rapid, simple determination of surfactants in environmental samples is essential because of the extensive use and its potential as contaminants. We describe a simple, rapid chemiluminescence method for the direct determination of the non-ionic surfactant Triton X-100 (polyethylene glycol tert-octylphenyl ether) in environmental water samples. The optimized experimental conditions were selected, and the mechanism of the Luminol-H2O2-Triton X-100 chemiluminesence system was also studied.  相似文献

The decomposition of the non-ionic surfactant Triton X-100 in gamma-irradiated deaerated aqueous solution is mainly attributed to the attack of OH radicals and H atoms. The mechanisms of these reactions were investigated in detail, including the influence of pH and dose rate. The RCHOH radicals formed by OH attack on alcohol molecules can decompose the surfactant in aqueous solution.  相似文献

Application of the co-fluorescence effect has been examined for the simultaneous detection of the lanthanide ions Eu(3+), Tb(3+), Sm(3+) and Dy(3+). In the presence of Y(3+) and 2,2'-bipyridine (BP), the fluorescence intensities of the pivaloyltrifluoroacetone chelates of these lanthanides were greatly enhanced by an inter-chelate energy transfer process. Under optimized conditions, the following detection limits were obtained; 0.019 pM for Eu(3+), 0.27 pM for Tb(3+), 3.8 pM for Sm(3+) and 20 pM for Dy(3+), when a sensitive time-resolved fluorometer was used for the measurement. A co-fluorescence based fluorescence enhancement solution was also tested in a dual-label time-resolved immunofluorometric assay of luteinizing and follicle stimulating hormones (LH and FSH) based on the use of Eu(3+) and Tb(3+) as the label ions. The present fluorometric detection system is particularly well suited for multilabel time-resolved fluorometric immunoassays utilizing two, three or four ion labels simultaneously.  相似文献

A new micelle-mediated cloud point extraction method is described for sensitive and selective determination of trace amounts of rhodamine B by spectrophotometry. The method is based on the cloud point extraction of rhodamine B from aqueous solution using Triton X-100 in acidic media. The extracted surfactant rich phase is diluted with water and its absorbance is measured at 563 nm by a spectophotometer. The effects of different operating parameters such as concentration of surfactant and salt, temperature and pH on the cloud point extraction of rhodamine B were studied in details and a set of optimum conditions were obtained. Under optimum conditions a linear calibration graph in the range of 5-550 ng mL−1 of rhodamine B in the initial solution with r = 0.9991 (n = 15) was obtained. Detection limit based on three times the standard deviation of the blank (3Sb) was 1.3 ng mL−1 (n = 10) and the relative standard deviation (R.S.D.) for 50 and 350 ng mL−1 of rhodamine B was 2.40 and 0.87% (n = 10), respectively. The method was applied for the determination of rhodamine B in soft pastel, hand washing liquid soap, matches tip and textile dyes mixture samples.  相似文献

An experimental study on the electrophoretic mobility (µe) of polystyrene particles after adsorption of Triton X-100 (TX100) is described. Three polystyrene particles with different functionality (sulphate, carboxyl and amidine) were used as solid substrate for the adsorption of the surfactant. The electrophoretic mobility of the polystyrene-TX100 complexes at different electrolyte concentrations has been studied versus the amount of adsorbed surfactant. The presence of TX100 onto the colloidal particles seems to produce a slight shifting of the slipping plane. This is observed for electrolyte concentrations above ~10-3 M. On the other hand, the electrophoretic mobilities of the latex-surfactant complexes with maximum surface coverage were measured versus pH and salt concentration. Specific ion interactions between H+/carboxyl groups and OH-/amidine groups appeared at extreme pH which explain the anomalous electrophoretic behaviour encountered in the region where surface charge change.  相似文献

Pulse radiolysis of deaerated aqueous solutions of 4·10–5–2.4·10–3 mol dm–3 Triton X-100 gives rise to a transient species originating from the reactions of OH radicals and H atoms. The rate constants of these reactions were found to be 8.8·109 mol–1·dm3·s–1 and 1.25·109 mol–1·dm3·s–1, respectively, for Triton X-100 concentrations below CMC. The corresponding transient species were found to decay according to second order kinetics. The mechanism of the reactions involved including concentration effects is discussed.  相似文献

The influences of Triton X-100 on hemoglobin (Hb) behaviors were studied by the methods of UV-Vis spectrum, fluorescence spectrum, HPLC, conductivity, zeta potential and negative-staining transmission electron microscope in Hb/acyclovir/Triton X-100/H2O system. With the increase of Triton X-100 concentration in the system, the percentage of the free acyclovir increased from 58%--63% to 90%--94%. The static quenching constant and the association number of acyclovir to Hb decreased. The fluorescence spectrum, conductivity, zeta potential, fluorescence polarization and negative-staining morphology of Hb tended to recover to those of the original state of Hb in the same concentration of Hb. The interaction between Triton X-100 and Hb is stronger than that between acyclovir and Hb. Most Triton-X-100 was associated with Hb at low Triton X-100 concentration. But the interaction of Triton X-100 with Hb was apparently dominant in high Triton X-100 concentration. The Hb structure was unfolded and finally denatured.  相似文献

Triton X-100-induced inactivation and phosphatidylcholine-induced reactivation of photosystem II (PSII) membranes were investigated using oxygen electrode, variable fluorescence and spectroscopic techniques including absorption and circular dichroism spectroscopy. Incubation of the PSII membrane with Triton X-100 reduced the oxygen-evolving rate, modified the variable chlorophyll fluorescence kinetics, changed the protein secondary structures, altered the chlorophyll binding state to proteins and decreased the excitonic interaction of chlorophyll molecules. Phosphatidylcholine addition did not change the protein secondary structures, but could partially reactivate the reduced oxygen-evolving rate, and partly reversed the variable fluorescence parameters, the chlorophyll binding state and the excitonic interaction of the chlorophyll molecules. The results indicate that the phosphatidylcholine environment can optimize the tertiary structures of PSII.  相似文献

The conditions for the spectrophotofluorometric determination of terbium and europium, in solutions of potassium carbonate, have been established. The apparent excitation and fluorescence wavelengths used, respectively, are 245 mmu and 550 mmu for terbium and 400 mmu and 620 mmu for europium. The fluorescence varies linearly with the concentration of terbium and europium in the range 0.3-70 mug, of terbium/ml and 4-800 mug of europium/ml. Large amounts of gadolinium, lutetium and yttrium do not interfere. Cerium(IV) interferes seriously.  相似文献

Considering surfactant solutions at concentrations exceeding the CMC, another relaxation process besides diffusion occurs, also affecting the dynamic surface tension. The latter equilibration process concerns a micellisation/demicellisation process, representing the disintegration of micelles into monomers. The micellisation kinetics are accounted for by adding a single source term to the diffusion equation of the free monomers.

In the present paper the integration of the diffusion equation is avoided by using the concept of the diffusion penetration depth. Nevertheless, when this approximation is made, good agreement is achieved between experiment and theory for micellar Triton X-100 solutions. Moreover, it follows that diffusion of micelles may not be neglected.  相似文献
