Transition metal chelates of 1,1-Bis(4-phenyl-5-mercapto-1,2,4-triazol-3-yl)propane

Summary Iron(III), cobalt(II), nickel(II), copper(II) and zinc(II) complexes of 1,1-bis(-4-phenyl-5-mercapto-1,2,4-triazol-3-yl)propane were prepared. Their structures were elucidated by spectral studies, magnetic susceptibility measurements and elemental analyses. The complexes were also evaluated for their fungicidal and seed germination activity.     

Quantum-chemical study of the structure and magnetic properties of mono- and binuclear Cu(II) complexes with 1,3-bis(3-(pyrimidin-2-yl)-1<Emphasis Type="Italic">H</Emphasis>-1,2,4-triazol-5-yl)propane

On the basis of X-ray crystallographic data on molecular copper complexes with 1,3-bis(3-(pyrimidin-2-yl)-1H-1,2,4-triazol-5-yl)propane, quantum-chemical optimization of their equilibrium structure has been performed by the density functional theory method with subsequent analysis of the electron density distribution by Bader’s atoms in molecules method and g-factor anisotropy calculation. The topological parameters of electron density at the Cu–N bond critical points have been considered, and the bond energies have been estimated using the Espinosa equation. A phenomenon of variable coordination of nitrate ions with Cu(II) ions in the inner coordination sphere of the mononuclear copper complex with 1,3-bis(3-(pyrimidin-2-yl)-1H-1,2,4-triazol-5-yl)propane has been revealed. The contributions of different components to the gfactor anisotropy have been analyzed in the framework of the gauge-independent atomic orbital method. The largest contribution to the g-factor is made by the orbital (Zeeman) and spin–orbit components accounting for very high averaged g-factor values of 2.1413 and 2.5636 for the doublet state of the mononuclear complex and the triplet state of the binuclear complex, respectively.     

Syntheses and structures of five cadmium(II) coordination polymers from 1,2-bis(1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)ethane

Five structually distinct coordination polymers [Cd(bte)₃](NO₃)_{2 n} (1), [Cd(bte)₂(H₂O)₂](NO₃)_{2 n} (2), [Cd(bte)(NO₂)₂] _n (3), [Cd(bte)₂(H₂O)₂](H₂O)₂(ClO₄)_{2 n} (4) and [Cd(bte)(NCS)₂]_n (5) (bte = 1,2-bis(1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)ethane) have been synthesized and characterized. The structures of 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 consist of a double interpenetrating three-dimensional -poloniumn cubic network, a two-dimensional (4,4) network, a two-dimensional rhombic network, a one-dimensional double chain containing 18-membered [Cd₂(bte)₂] rings and a two-dimensional rhombic network containing eight-membered [Cd₂(SCN)₂] rings, respectively.     

Crystal structure and characterization of two cadmium(II) coordination polymers with a multidentate N-donor tecton 3-(pyridin-4-yl)-5-(pyrazin-2-yl)-1H-1,2,4-triazole

Two new cadmium(II) complexes [Cd_1.5(L)Cl₂(H₂O)]_{2 n} (1) and [CdL₂] _n (2) with a multidentate N-donor building block 3-(pyridin-4-yl)-5-(pyrazin-2-yl)-1H-1,2,4-triazole (HL) have been prepared and characterized by elemental analysis, infra-red spectra, powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), and single-crystal XRD. 1 is a 2-D layered coordination polymer constructed from linkage of [Cd₃(μ-Cl)₄] trinuclear units with HL spacers, while 2 shows a 2-D layer structure. 3-D supramolecular architectures are further assembled in 1 and 2 via hydrogen-bonding contacts. Both 1 and 2 are thermally stable to 450?°C, and 2 showed strong fluorescent emission bands.     

3-(4-Phenyl-1,2,4-triazol-3-yl)chromones

The condensation of 4-phenyl-1,2,4-triazol-3-ylacetonitrile with 2-methyl-, 4-ethylresorcinol, and with pyrogallol gave α-(4-phenyl-1,2,4-triazol-3-yl)-2,4-dihydroxyacetophenones. Upon treatment with acid anhydrides and chlorides and subsequent hydrolysis these form 7-hydroxy-3-(4-phenyl)-1,2,4-triazol-3-yl)chromones with different substituents in both the benzene and the pyrone rings. __________ Translated from Khimiya Geterotsiklicheskikh Soedinenii, No. 11, pp. 1676–1684, November, 2005.     

Structure,DNA bonding,and biological activity of a novel Pb(II) complex of 1,1-bis(5-(pyrazin-2-yl)-1,2,4-triazol-3-yl) methane

A novel complex [Pb(bptm)(NO₃)(H₂O)₂] (bptm = 1,1-bis(5-(pyrazin-2-yl)-1,2,4-triazol-3-yl) methane) is synthesized and characterized by IR spectroscopy and single crystal X-ray diffraction. Its reactivity with calf thymus DNA and HeLa cell DNA is measured using UV absorption and fluorescence spectroscopies. Gel electrophoresis assay demonstrates the ability of the complex to cleave pBR322 plasmid DNA. Eventually, the complex can suitably dock with a special DNA.     

New derivatives of N-vinyltriazoles: 1,3-diaryl-3-(1H-1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)-2-propen-1-ones

We have synthesized previously unknown N-vinyltriazoles:1,3-diaryl-3-(1H-1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)-2 propen-1-ones. We discuss a hypothesis for a probable reaction mechanism. Coordination Compounds of Copper(II) with Bis(5-amino-1,2,4-triazol-3-yl)alkanes

Procedures for synthesis of coordination compounds of copper(II) with bis(5-amino-1,2,4-triazol-3-yl)alkanes as ligands. A conclusion was drawn that the coordination polyhedron of copper(II) has different configurations depending on the structure of the ligand and on the coordination mode.

用硼氢化钠还原3-芳基-1-(吡啶-3-基)-2-(1H-1,2,4-三唑-1-基)丙烯酮, 合成了10个新型含吡啶基的三唑醇类化合物. 所有化合物均经核磁、元素分析确证. 生物活性测试结果表明, 部分化合物具有一定的杀菌活性及植物生长调节活性.

新的含有4-对甲基苯基-3，5-二(2-吡啶基)-1，2，4-三氮唑钴配合物的合成和晶体结构(英)

A new cobalt(Ⅱ) complex, [CoL₂(NCS)₂]·2CH₂Cl₂, [L=4-(p-methylphenyl)-3,5-bis(pyridin-2-yl)-1,2,4-triazole], was synthesized and its crystal structure was determined by X-ray analysis. The complex crystallizes in monoclinic system with space group P2₁/c, a=0.867 40(17), b=1.453 9(3), c=1.781 9(4) nm, β=91.18(3)°, V=2.246 7(8) nm³ and Z=2. The cobalt atom is in a distorted octahedral environment with two bidentate chelating L ligands in the equatorial plane and two NCS^- ions in the axial positions. CCDC: 251658.     

Parallel solution-phase synthesis of substituted 2-(1,2,4-triazol-3-yl)benzimidazoles

A solution-phase synthesis for the preparation of substituted 2-(1,2,4-triazol-3-yl)benzimidazoles from triazole aldehydes and ortho-phenylenediamines has been developed for the purpose of producing diverse lead generation libraries. Crude products were obtained and further purified by mass-guided preparative HPLC.     

Synthesis,Crystal Structure and Antitumor Activity of 2-(3-Methyl-5-(methylthio)-4H-1,2,4-triazol-4-yl)isoindoline-1,3-dione

The title compound 2-(3-methyl-5-(methylthio)-4H-1,2,4-triazol-4-yl)isoindoline-1,3-dione(C12H10N4O2S, Mr = 274.30) has been synthesized by a three-step procedure including the cyclization, hydrazinolysis and substitution reactions, and its crystal structure was determined by X-ray single-crystal diffraction. The crystal belongs to the monoclinic system, space group P21/c with a = 12.264(3), b = 14.646(3), c = 14.349(4) , β = 91.69(3)°, μ = 0.255 mm-1, Mr = 274.30, V = 2576.2(10) 3, Z = 8, Dc = 1.414 g/cm3, F(000) = 1136, R = 0.0487 and w R = 0.1329 for 4048 observed reflections with Ⅰ 2σ(Ⅰ). In addition, the preliminary bioassay suggested that the title compound 6 exhibits relatively good antitumor activity against HT-29 and MCF-7.     

Synthesis of 2-(dibenzosuberen-5-yl)-1,3-dicarbonyl compounds

Reaction of dibenzosuberen-5-ol with 1,3-dicarbonyl compounds catalyzed with scandium(III), copper(II), or indium(III) triflate (5 mol %) afforded 2-(dibenzosuberen-5-yl)-1,3-dicarbonyl compounds in 63–86% yield.     

Syntheses,crystal structures and properties of copper(II) complexes of 1,3-bis[(4-methyl-5-imidazol-1-yl)ethylideneamino]propan-2-ol and 1,3-bis[(4-methyl-5-imidazol-1-yl)ethylideneamino] propane

The syntheses of two polydentate ligands comprising imidazole donors, 1,3-bis[(4-methyl-5-imidazol-1-yl) ethylideneamino]propan-2-ol (BIPO), 1,3-bis[(4-methyl-5-imidazol-1-yl)ethylideneamino]propane (BIP), and their copper(II) complexes [Cu(BIPO)(ClO₄)(H₂O)] (NO₃) · H₂O (1) and [Cu(BIP)(ClO₄)](ClO₄) · 2H₂O (2) are reported. Single-crystal structural analyses show that (1) adopts an elongated octahedral geometry with the axial positions occupied by a perchlorate oxygen atom and an aqua ligand, while (2) adopts a distorted square-pyramidal geometry with the axial positions occupied by a perchlorate oxygen atom. Electronic spectra in aqueous solution indicate that both (1) and (2) adopt square-pyramidal geometry. Cyclic voltammetry in aqueous solution gives reduction waves at –0.07 and –0.08 V versus s.c.e. for (1) and (2), respectively. The low reduction potential and general reversibility of the redox reaction of (1) and (2) indicate that BIPO and BIP are flexible enough to stabilize both Cu^II and Cu^I forms of the complexes.

Optimization of the synthesis of 5-amino-1,2,4-triazol-3-ylacetic acid and bis(5-amino-1,2,4-triazol-3-yl)methane

The influence of the molar ratio and concentration of the reactants and of the temperature and time of the synthesis on the yield of malonic acid guanylhydrazides in the reaction of aminoguanidine with malonic acid in acidic aqueous solutions was examined, and improved procedures for preparing 5-amino-1,2,4-triazol-3-ylacetic acid and bis(5-amino-1,2,4-triazol-3-yl)methane were suggested.
