An alkyd/melamine resin mixtures are mainly used in industrial baking enamels. The aim of this work was to study the curing behaviour of alkyds based on dehydrated castor oil and soybean oil with melamine resin by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The kinetic parameters obtained by the transformation of dynamic DSC results into isothermal data through Ozawa kinetic model are in good agreement with those determined by the isothermal DSC experiments. The apparent degree of curing, determined by DSC measurements and sol/gel method, has a pronounced effect on the hardness of the resultant coating film.  相似文献

Kinetics of thermosetting polymers curing is difficult to study by isothermal methods based on the differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) technique. The difficulty is due to the low sensitivity of the equipment for total reaction heat measurements during high temperature process. The aim of this paper is to display the equivalence between a dynamic model, the Ozawa method, and an isothermal isoconversional fit, which allows predicting the isothermal behavior of the resol resins cure through dynamic runs by DSC. In this work, lignin–phenol–formaldehyde and commercial phenol–formaldehyde resol resins were employed. In addition, the isothermal kinetic parameters for both resins were performed by means of transformation of the data obtained from the dynamic Ozawa method.  相似文献

The thermokinetic parameters were investigated for cumene hydroperoxide (CHP), di-tert-butyl peroxide (DTBP), and tert-butyl peroxybenzoate (TBPB) by non-isothermal kinetic model and isothermal kinetic model by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and thermal activity monitor III (TAM III), respectively. The objective was to investigate the activation energy (E a) of CHP, DTBP, and TBPB applied non-isothermal well-known kinetic equation to evaluate the thermokinetic parameters by DSC. We employed TAM III to assess the thermokinetic parameters of three liquid organic peroxides, obtained thermal runaway data, and then used the Arrhenius plot to obtain the E a of liquid organic peroxides at various isothermal temperatures. In contrast, the results of non-isothermal kinetic algorithm and isothermal kinetic algorithm were acquired from a highly accurate procedure for receiving information on thermal decomposition characteristics and reaction hazard.  相似文献

A critical thermodynamic analysis of differential thermal calorimetry is reported herein to gain further insight into the phenomena leading to the reported differences between kinetic parameters extracted from isothermal DSC methods and those from dynamic DSC methods. The sources have been identified for the variations observed in the total heat of reaction as a function of the heating rate in dynamic DSC experiments. The analysis clearly indicates that these variations are, in fact, to be anticipated. The relationships necessary for extracting kinetic data from both isothermal and dynamic experiments are derived rigorously by resorting to classical thermodynamics. 本文用DSC首先论证淬火尼龙1010试样在DSC曲线上出现的放热峰是冷结晶峰,然后研究淬火尼龙1010在不同热处理条件下,冷结晶峰和玻璃态热松驰峰的变化规律。实验结果表明,等温结晶时间较短,试样的固态结晶速率较快;等温结晶时间较长,固态结晶速率较慢,这可能与在Tg区域等温所形成的新氢键有关。当升高等温温度时,固态结晶速率加快。在低于Tg的不同温度退火,玻璃态热松弛峰的峰高及热焓在281K达最大值,进而确定对玻璃态热松驰影响最敏感的温度区间是277~284K。  相似文献

As a member of the aluminium composite, GLARE (GLAss fibre/epoxy REinforced aluminium laminates) was used in the upper fuselage of Airbus A380 because of its superior mechanical properties over monolithic aluminium alloys. Thermal processing is a potential method for materials recycling and reuse from GLARE scrap with the aim of environmental protection and economic benefits. Thermal delamination is a crucial pre-treatment step for GLARE recycling. Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) tests have been used to identify the decomposition temperature range of epoxy resins under non-isothermal condition in our previous work [1]. To obtain an appropriate solution for GLARE thermal delamination, the thermal degradation behaviour of epoxy resins in GLARE under isothermal conditions were investigated and isothermal decomposition kinetic models were built up based on DSC and thermogravimetric analysis TGA. The thermal delamination process of GLARE is determined based on thermal analysis results and experimental optimization.  相似文献

The thermal stability of HMT under dynamic, isothermal and adiabatic conditions was investigated using differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) and accelerating rate calorimeter (ARC), respectively. It is found from the dynamic DSC results that the exothermic decomposition reaction appears immediately after endothermic peak, a coupling phenomenon of heat absorption and generation, and the endothermic peak and exothermic peak were indentified at about 277–289 and 279–296 °C (Tpeak) with the heating rates 1, 2, 4 and 8 °C min−1. The ARC results reveal that the initial decomposition temperature of HMT is about 236.55 °C, and the total gas production in decomposition process is 6.9 mol kg−1. Based on the isothermal DSC and ARC data, some kinetic parameters have been determined using thermal safety software. The simulation results show that the exothermic decomposition process of HMT can be expressed by an autocatalytic reaction mechanism. There is also a good agreement between the kinetic model and kinetic parameters simulated based on the isothermal DSC and ARC data. Thermal hazards of HMT can be evaluated by carrying out thermal explosion simulations, which were based on kinetic models (Isothermal DSC and ARC) to predict several thermal hazard indicators, such as TD24, TD8, TCL, SADT, ET and CT so that we can optimize the conditions of transportation and storage for chemical, also minimizing industrial disasters.

使用差示扫描量热仪(DSC)和荧光光谱法研究了在pH 7.4时牛血清IgG (bIgG)热变性, 热化学变性和等温化学变性过程(变性剂为尿素和盐酸胍), 首次报道了bIgG在热化学变性和等温化学变性过程中的相关热力学参数. DSC和荧光光谱实验结果表明, bIgG的热变性和热化学变性过程都是较复杂的不可逆过程, 这个过程可被看作一个三态变构过程. DSC实验表明在热化学变性过程中bIgG的变性温度和焓变值会随着环境中的变性剂浓度的升高而降低. 使用荧光光谱法对bIgG在尿素或盐酸胍存在下的等温化学变性过程进行了研究, 结果显示bIgG的化学变性过程也是一个较复杂的非二态过程. 实验数据分析表明, 变性剂尿素和盐酸胍与bIgG之间主要是依靠氢键相互作用的, 而热变性过程中bIgG的凝集是由于bIgG热变性时结构改变后暴露出的疏水结构互相作用造成的. 实验结果还表明单纯的热变性只能导致bIgG的不完全变性, 而即使是在高浓度变性剂存在时的bIgG热化学变性, 尿素和盐酸胍分别导致的bIgG热化学变性的去折叠态也是不同的.  相似文献

The simplen th order model equation combined with the Arrhenius approach of the temperature dependency of the reaction rate constant is widely used in thermal analysis. The new Mettler software package for thermal analysis, GraphWare TA72 allows to access a full model comprising the power law and the crystallization kinetics (AvramiErofe'ev). The kinetics of the following reactions are studied to illustrate some applications:
  • thermal decomposition of dissolved dibenzoylperoxide, (dynamic and isothermal DSC measurement)
  • crystallization of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) (isothermal DSC measurements).
  • The kinetic model applied and the accuracy of the kinetic data obtained are discussed by means of a comparison of a predicted behaviour with the kinetic data measured isothermally.  相似文献

    Compatibility studies between active drugs and excipients are substantial in the pharmaceutical technology. The objective of the present work was to develop pre-formulated mixtures of metronidazole (MT) obtained by spray drying (SPDR) and their thermoanalytical characterization. Dynamic and isothermal TG, conventional DSC and DSC coupled to a photovisual system were used. DSC experiments with both techniques confirmed the homogeneity of the conventional and pre-formulated mixtures. The TG data made possible the comparison the thermal stability of the different mixtures. Similar thermal stabilities were found of the conventional and pre-formulated mixtures, with slower particles sizes of MT.  相似文献

    The thermal properties of 2,3-dimethyl-2,3-dinitrobutane (DMNB), a detection agent for explosives, have been determined by DSC measurements. Additionally, the results of an NMR study are compared with conclusions arrived at in the literature with regard to the source of two endotherms observed in the DSC. The thermal decomposition of DMNB is characterized by an exotherm with an energy in excess of 3 kJ g?1, observed in conjunction with a third endotherm resulting from the fusion of DMNB. Arrhenius parameters determined from both variable heating rate and isothermal measurements in the DSC are compared with predicted values assuming various mechanisms for the decomposition process.  相似文献

    The relatively poor thermal stability of fluorozirconate glasses is a major factor preventing the realisation of their true potential for fibre optic applications. A range of methods based on both isothermal and non-isothermal DSC techniques, which can be employed to evaluate the thermal stability of fluorozirconate glasses, are described.     Summary Sulfonylureas are widely used for the treatment of non-insulin dependent diabetes mellitus. Glibenclamide belongs to the group of substituted arylsulfonylureas. Many representative of this group shows polymorphism. The purpose of this work was to investigate the thermal behaviour and compatibility between glibenclamide and some excipients using thermoanalytical techniques (TG-DTG/DSC).     Annealing of poly(ethylene terephthalate) samples crystallized under isothermal conditions above the crystallization temperature has a marked influence on their morphology and results in increased thermal stability of the crystalline structure as indicated by the melting point increase of the samples. The morphological transformation processes induced by annealing are very complex and depend on the thermal history of the samples, i.e., crystallization temperature and heating procedure. Depending on the nature of the processes occurring during annealing, various parameters characterizing the semicrystalline state of the samples can be affected such as the degree of crystallinity, the long spacing, the thickness of amorphous and crystalline layers, the crystal perfection, the fold-surface structure, and the mosaic structure of the crystalline lamellae. Annealing involves a solid-state transformation of the original crystalline structure including crystal perfection without thickening or a melting followed by recrystallization with crystal perfection and crystal thickening. The combination of differential scanning calorimetric (DSC) measurements and small-angle x-ray scattering is a powerful analytical tool to detect morphological changes and helps in deciding on the processes which are involved in the transformation of the microstructure upon annealing.  相似文献

    Hematite with different particle sizes was obtained through isothermal annealing and mechanochemical ball-milling methods. The hematite phase is very stable under air atmosphere. The thermal stabilities of hematite under argon atmosphere were characterized by thermal analysis studies up to 800 °C using a simultaneous DSC–TG technique. The lattice parameters a and c of hematite with different particle sizes were extracted from the Rietveld structural refinement of powder X-ray diffraction patterns. Decomposition of hematite into a lower oxidation state in inert argon atmosphere was studied by the TG experiments for the first time and the enthalpy associated with the decomposition reaction was determined from the DSC studies. Particle size has a strong effect on the thermal behavior of hematite samples. Ball-milled hematite samples with smaller particle size showed that the phase transformation was extended to higher temperature range with larger enthalpy. Hematite with larger average particle size showed higher stability under argon atmosphere.  相似文献

    Melamine (MA), as the formaldehyde (FA) absorbent of polyoxymethylene (POM), was polymerically modified by a condensation reaction with FA to form the melamine‐formaldehyde (MF) polycondensates with high molecular weight and comparatively high processing thermal stability. Ultrasonic irradiation was used for the synthesis, and ultrafine, crosslinked, and thermally stable MF polycondensates were obtained. The synthetic technique was discussed, and the thermal stabilization and nucleation effects of MF on POM were studied by the measurements of isothermal weight loss, balance torque, analysis of the formaldehyde emission amounts (FEAs), multiple extrusions, polarized light microscopy (PLM), isothermal and non‐isothermal differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), and scanning electron microscopy (SEM), which indicated that the thermal stability and the crystallization performance of POM was greatly enhanced by using MF as a thermal stabilizer and nucleation agent. The MF prepared using ultrasonic irradiation can improve the mechanical properties of POM more effectively compared with that prepared with normal mechanical stirring.
