The subject is traces of Sobolev spaces with mixed Lebesgue norms on Euclidean space. Specifically, restrictions to the hyperplanes given by x1 = 0 and xn = 0 are applied to functions belonging to quasi‐homogeneous, mixed norm Lizorkin–Triebel spaces ; Sobolev spaces are obtained from these as special cases. Spaces admitting traces in the distribution sense are characterised up to the borderline cases; these are also covered in case x1 = 0. For x1 the trace spaces are proved to be mixed‐norm Lizorkin–Triebel spaces with a specific sum exponent; for xn they are similarly defined Besov spaces. The treatment includes continuous right‐inverses and higher order traces. The results rely on a sequence version of Nikol'skij's inequality, Marschall's inequality for pseudodifferential operators (and Fourier multiplier assertions), as well as dyadic ball criteria. Sobolev spaces on an arbitrary metric space   总被引:15,自引:0,他引:15
We define Sobolev space W 1,p for 1<p on an arbitrary metric space with finite diameter and equipped with finite, positive Borel measure. In the Euclidean case it coincides with standard Sobolev space. Several classical imbedding theorems are special cases of general results which hold in the metric case. We apply our results to weighted Sobolev space with Muckenhoupt weight. This work is supported by KBN grant no. 2 1057 91 01  相似文献

In this note we give a simple proof that every subspace of Lp, 2 < p < ∞, with an unconditional basis has an equivalent norm determined by partitions and weights. Consequently Lp has a norm determined by partitions and weights. Received: 31 January 2005  相似文献

In this paper, we consider a non‐smooth atomic decomposition by using a smooth atomic decomposition. Applying the non‐smooth atomic decomposition, a local means characterization and a quarkonical decomposition, we obtain a pointwise multiplier and a trace operator for generalized Besov–Morrey spaces and generalized Triebel–Lizorkin–Morrey spaces on the whole space. We also develop the theory of those spaces on domains. We consider an extension operator and a trace operator on the upper half space and on compact oriented Riemannian manifolds.  相似文献

For an open set we study the algebra of continuous linear operators on admitting the monomials as eigenvectors. We give a concrete representation of these operators and evaluate it explicitly for the unit ball and the whole of . We also study the topology of and the algebra of eigenvalue sequences.  相似文献

This note concerns a class of Wiener-Hopf operators on a finite interval, acting between Sobolev multi-index spaces. Necessary and sufficient conditions for such an operator to be Fredholm are given, as well as a formula for the index. The argument is based on a reduction procedure of convolution operators on a finite interval to operators of the same type on the half-line.supported by the Netherlands organization for scientific research (NWO)supported in part by NSF Grant 9101143  相似文献

We prove that Burenkov's extension operator preserves Sobolev spaces built on general Morrey spaces, including classical Morrey spaces. The analysis concerns bounded and unbounded open sets with Lipschitz boundaries in the n‐dimensional Euclidean space.  相似文献

We prove boundedness of pseudodifferential operators on anisotropic mixed‐norm Besov and Triebel–Lizorkin spaces. Our proof relies only on general maximal function estimates and provides a new perspective even in the case of spaces without mixed norms. Moreover, we cover the case of Fourier multipliers on the above mentioned spaces. As application we establish boundedness of pseudodifferential operators and Fourier multipliers on anisotropic mixed‐norm Sobolev spaces.  相似文献

We introduce the algebra of smoothing Mellin and Green symbols in a pseudodifferential calculus for manifolds with edges. In addition, we define scales of weighted Sobolev spaces with asymptotics based on the Mellin transform and analyze the mapping properties of the operators on these spaces. This will allow us to obtain complete information on the regularity and asymptotics of solutions to elliptic equations on these spaces.  相似文献

In this paper, we investigate Poincaré type inequalities for the functions having zero mean value on the whole boundary of a Lipschitz domain or on a measurable part of the boundary. We find exact and easily computable constants in these inequalities for some basic domains (rectangles, cubes, and right triangles) and discuss applications of the inequalities to quantitative analysis of partial differential equations. In this paper, we are concerned with Lindelöf type theorems for monotone (in the sense of Lebesgue) Sobolev functions u on a uniform domain satisfying where ? denotes the gradient, denotes the distance from z to the boundary , φ is of log‐type and ω is a weight function satisfying the doubling condition.  相似文献

Summary. We consider an indirect boundary integral equation formulation for the mixed Dirichlet-Neumann boundary value problem for the Laplace equation on a plane domain with a polygonal boundary. The resulting system of integral equations is solved by a collocation method which uses a mesh grading transformation and a cosine approximating space. The mesh grading transformation method yields fast convergence of the collocation solution by smoothing the singularities of the exact solution. A complete stability and solvability analysis of the transformed integral equations is given by use of a Mellin transform technique, in a setting in which each arc of the polygon has associated with it a periodic Sobolev space. In this article, the authors characterize higher‐order Sobolev spaces , with , and , or with , and , via the Lusin area function and the Littlewood–Paley ‐function in terms of ball averages, where denotes the maximal integer not greater than . Moreover, the authors also complement the above results in the endpoint cases of p via establishing some weak type estimates. These improve and develop the corresponding known results for Sobolev spaces with smoothness order .  相似文献

We introduce and study a new concept of a weak elliptic equation for measures on infinite dimensional spaces. This concept allows one to consider equations whose coefficients are not globally integrable. By using a suitably extended Lyapunov function technique, we derive a priori estimates for the solutions of such equations and prove new existence results. As an application, we consider stochastic Burgers, reaction-diffusion, and Navier-Stokes equations and investigate the elliptic equations for the corresponding invariant measures. Our general theorems yield a priori estimates and existence results for such elliptic equations. We also obtain moment estimates for Gibbs distributions and prove an existence result applicable to a wide class of models. We obtain global regularity in generalized Morrey spaces for the gradient of the weak solutions to divergence form linear parabolic operators with measurable data. Assuming partial BMO smallness of the coefficients and Reifenberg flatness of the boundary of the underlying domain, we develop a Calderón‐Zygmund type theory for such operators. Problems like the considered here arise in the modeling of composite materials and in the mechanics of membranes and films of simple nonhomogeneous materials which form a linear laminated medium.  相似文献

In this work we show that if is a linear differential operator of order ν with smooth complex coefficients in from a complex vector space E to a complex vector space F, the Sobolev a priori estimate holds locally at any point if and only if is elliptic and the constant coefficient homogeneous operator is canceling in the sense of Van Schaftingen for every which means that Here is the homogeneous part of order ν of and is the principal symbol of . This result implies and unifies the proofs of several estimates for complexes and pseudo‐complexes of operators of order one or higher proved recently by other methods as well as it extends —in the local setup— the characterization of Van Schaftingen to operators with variable coefficients.  相似文献

In the setting of a Lie group of polynomial volume growth, we derive inequalities of Caffarelli–Kohn–Nirenberg type, where the weights involved are powers of the Carnot–Caratheodory distance associated with a fixed system of vector fields which satisfy the Hörmander condition. The use of weak spaces is crucial in our proofs and we formulate these inequalities within the framework of Lorentz spaces (a scale of (quasi)‐Banach spaces which extend the more classical Lebesgue spaces) thereby obtaining a refinement of, for instance, Sobolev and Hardy–Sobolev inequalities.  相似文献
