We continue studying the analogs of o-minimality and weak o-minimality for circularly ordered sets. We present a complete characterization of the behavior of unary definable functions in an ?0-categorical 1-transitive weakly circularly minimal structure. Using it, we describe the ?0-categorical 1-transitive nonprimitive weakly circularly minimal structures of convexity rank greater than 1 up to binarity.  相似文献

We explore analogues of o‐minimality and weak o‐minimality for circularly ordered sets. Much of the theory goes through almost unchanged, since over a parameter the circular order yields a definable linear order. Working over ?? there are differences. Our main result is a structure theory (with infinitely many doubly transitive examples related to Jordan permutation groups) for ?0‐categorical weakly circularly minimal structures. There is a 5‐homogeneous (or ‘5‐indiscernible’) example which is not 6‐homogeneous, but any example which is k‐homogeneous for some k ≥ 6 is k‐homogeneous for all k.

We define and study a notion of ring of formal power series with exponents in a cyclically ordered group. Such a ring is a quotient of various subrings of classical formal power series rings. It carries a two variable valuation function. In the particular case where the cyclically ordered group is actually totally ordered, our notion of formal power series is equivalent to the classical one in a language enriched with a predicate interpreted by the set of all monomials.Received: 24 February 2003  相似文献

We introduce the notion of a weakly quasi-o-minimal model and prove that such models lack the independence property. We show that every weakly quasi-o-minimal ordered group is Abelian, every divisible Archimedean weakly quasi-o-minimal ordered group is weakly o-minimal, and every weakly o-minimal quasi-o-minimal ordered group is o-minimal. We also prove that every weakly quasi-o-minimal Archimedean ordered ring with nonzero multiplication is a real closed field that is embeddable into the field of reals.  相似文献

By a result known as Rieger's theorem (1956), there is a one-to-one correspondence, assigning to each cyclically ordered group H a pair (G,z) where G is a totally ordered group and z is an element in the center of G, generating a cofinal subgroup z of G, and such that the cyclically ordered quotient group G/z is isomorphic to H. We first establish that, in this correspondence, the first-order theory of the cyclically ordered group H is uniquely determined by the first-order theory of the pair (G,z). Then we prove that the class of cyclically orderable groups is an elementary class and give an axiom system for it. Finally we show that, in contrast to the fact that all theories of totally ordered Abelian groups have the same universal part, there are uncountably many universal theories of Abelian cyclically ordered groups.  相似文献

We introduce the notion of torsion class of abelian cyclically ordered groups; the definition is analogous to that used in the theory of lattice ordered groups. The collection T of all such classes is partially ordered by the class-theoretical inclusion. Though T is a proper class, we can apply the usual terminology for this partial order. We prove that T is a complete, infinitely distributive lattice having infinitely many atoms.  相似文献

We consider the sets definable in the countable models of a weakly o‐minimal theory T of totally ordered structures. We investigate under which conditions their Boolean algebras are isomorphic (hence T is p‐ω‐categorical), in other words when each of these definable sets admits, if infinite, an infinite coinfinite definable subset. We show that this is true if and only if T has no infinite definable discrete (convex) subset. We examine the same problem among arbitrary theories of mere linear orders. Finally we prove that, within expansions of Boolean lattices, every weakly o‐minimal theory is p‐ω‐categorical. (© 2004 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim)  相似文献

In this paper, some characterizations that an ordered semigroup S is a band of weakly r-archimedean ordered subsemigroups of S are given by some relations on S . We prove that an ordered semigroup S is a band of weakly r -archimedean ordered subsemigroups if and only if S is regular band of weakly r -archimedean ordered subsemigroups. Finally, we obtain that a negative ordered semigroup S is a band of weakly r-archimedean ordered subsemigroups of S if and only if S is a band of r-archimedean ordered subsemigroups of S . As an application the corresponding results on semigroups without order can be obtained by moderate modifications. August 27, 1999  相似文献

In this paper we consider systems of quasilinear elliptic variational inequalities, and prove the existence of minimal and maximal (in the set theoretical sense) solutions within some ordered interval of an appropriately defined pair of sub- and supersolutions. We show that the notion of sub- and supersolutions of variational inequalities introduced here is consistent with the usual notion of sub-supersolutions for (variational) equations. For weakly coupled quasimonotone systems of variational inequalities the existence of smallest and greatest solutions is proved.  相似文献

Cyclic Hypomonotonicity,Cyclic Submonotonicity,and Integration   总被引:9,自引:1,他引:8
Rockafellar has shown that the subdifferentials of convex functions are always cyclically monotone operators. Moreover, maximal cyclically monotone operators are necessarily operators of this type, since one can construct explicitly a convex function, which turns out to be unique up to a constant, whose subdifferential gives back the operator. This result is a cornerstone in convex analysis and relates tightly convexity and monotonicity. In this paper, we establish analogous robust results that relate weak convexity notions to corresponding notions of weak monotonicity, provided one deals with locally Lipschitz functions and locally bounded operators. In particular, the subdifferentials of locally Lipschitz functions that are directionally hypomonotone [respectively, directionally submonotone] enjoy also an additional cyclic strengthening of this notion and in fact are maximal under this new property. Moreover, every maximal cyclically hypomonotone [respectively, maximal cyclically submonotone] operator is always the Clarke subdifferential of some directionally weakly convex [respectively, directionally approximately convex] locally Lipschitz function, unique up to a constant, which in finite dimentions is a lower C2 function [respectively, a lower C1 function].  相似文献

In this paper we obtain and establish some important results in ordered Γ-semigroups extending and generalizing those for semigroups given in [PETRICH, M.: Introduction to Semigroups, Merill, Columbus, 1973] and for ordered semigroups from [KEHAYOPULU, N.: On weakly prime ideals of ordered semigroups, Math. Japon. 35 (1990), 1051–1056], [KEHAYOPULU, N.: On prime, weakly prime ideals in ordered semigroups, Semigroup Forum 44 (1992), 341–346] and [XIE, X. Y.—WU, M. F.: On quasi-prime, weakly quasi-prime left ideals in ordered semigroups, PU.M.A. 6 (1995), 105–120]. We introduce and give some characterizations about the quasi-prime and weakly quasi-prime left ideals of ordered-Γ-semigroups. We also introduce the concept of weakly m-systems in ordered Γ-semigroups and give some characterizations of the quasi-prime and weakly quasi-prime left ideals by weakly m-systems.  相似文献

In this paper we investigate sequential convergences on a cyclically ordered group G which are compatible with the group operation and with the relation of cyclic order; we do not assume the validity of the Urysohn’s axiom. The system convG of convergences under consideration is partially ordered by means of the set-theoretical inclusion. We prove that convG is a Brouwerian lattice. In this paper, the notion of left weakly regular ordered semigroups is introduced. Furthermore, left weakly regular ordered semigroups are characterized by the properties of their left ideals, right ideals and (generalized) bi-ideals, and also by the properties of their fuzzy left ideals, fuzzy right ideals and fuzzy (generalized) bi-ideals.  相似文献

The concept of the lower weakly solvable radical of Lie algebras is important in the study of Lie algebras. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the generalization of this concept to lattice ordered Lie algebras over partially ordered fields. Some results concerning properties of the lower weakly solvable l-radical of lattice ordered Lie algebras are obtained. Necessary and sufficient conditions for the l-prime radical of a Lie l-algebra to be equal to the lower weakly solvable l-radical of the Lie l-algebra are presented.  相似文献
