本文描述了Cr:GaAs-LiTaO3开关-行波普克尔盒的设计结构。用飞秒激光脉冲作激发、探针脉冲,采用电光采样技术,产生并测量到了上升沿约为5ps的超快电脉冲,并从Yamashita的微带设计方程出发,运用准TEM波近似,分析了微带线的色散特性及ps电脉冲在微带中传播时的波形畸变,电脉冲较陡的上升沿在传播过程中被展宽而下降沿变陡。  相似文献

Optoelectronic generation of well characterized ultrashort electrical pulses plays an important role in the calibration of fast-sampling oscilloscopes. In this paper the authors describe the National Physical Laboratory (NPL) pulse generator, comprising a femtosecond laser and an ultrafast photoconductive switch which can generate electrical pulses as short as 650 fs. The photoconductive switch consists of a GaAs substrate with a top GaAs layer grown under low temperature conditions to ensure a subpicosecond recombination rate. The technique of electrooptic sampling is used to measure pulses on planar transmission lines, such as coplanar waveguide and coplanar stripline. Good agreement is shown between electrooptic sampling measurement and the modelling of pulse propagation along a coplanar waveguide, enabling one to optimize a design of a calibration test source. The use of a pulse generator to calibrate a 50 GHz sampling oscilloscope is described.  相似文献

建立了小型适用的外电光采样系统,利用增益开关半导体激光器产生的皮秒超短光脉冲做为取样门,以LiTaO3电光探头作为电场传感器,实现了对梳状波电脉冲波形的光学采样测量,测量结果与用采样示波器测量的结果相符.分析了系统的主要性能,获得了25ps的时间分辨率及20mV/√Hz的电压灵敏度.实验分析了电光探头对系统测量精度的影响.同时用该系统测量了共面微带传输线的传输特性.  相似文献

A semi-analytical method based on distributed source transmission line model is proposed to analyze a traveling-wave terahertz photomixer integrated with a coplanar stripline waveguide. Multilayer spectral domain method along with complex image technique have been applied to calculate the distributed voltage source element in the transmission line representation. To find the coupled terahertz signal along the coplanar stripline, the transmission line equations are solved. The results obtained from the proposed method are verified by the full wave analysis.  相似文献

研制了一种基于GaAs场效应管与超快脉冲信号微带传输的可编程任意波形发生器.它由计算机控制的多路高准确度偏置电压,多个级联的GaAs场效应管基元电路,以及微带脉冲传输线组成.输出电脉冲波形导入LiNbO3集成光波导调制器,经过电光调制获得相应的激光脉冲波形.通过计算机设置各基d元电路中GaAs场效应管栅极偏压,进而控制整形电脉冲的形状,使高功率激光装置前端时域脉冲整形实现远程控制.  相似文献

The authors report on the fabrication and electrooptic measurement of modulation-dopted field-effect transistors (MODFETs) monolithically integrated with coplanar stripline fixtures incorporating photoconductive switches. Both lattice-matched devices on InP substrates and pseudomorphic devices on GaAs substrates, as well as two different gate access structures have been characterized. In comparing two devices with identical gate access structures, one finds that the delay time of the pseudomorphic device is almost twice as long as that of the lattice-matched device. Surprisingly, the switching times (drain output risetimes) of the two devices are comparable. One also sees that the gate access structure significantly affects the switching in two lattice-matched devices: the switching times for double-gate and single-gate contact devices are 4.2 and 5.2 ps, respectively. In this case, however, no difference was seen in the delay times. These results show that, for the present devices, the switching and delay times are dominated by different mechanisms.  相似文献

We report a novel tilted pulse amplification technique that, in contrast with the chirped-pulse amplification method, allows stretching of ultrashort pulses independently upon the initial pulse bandwidth. A gain factor of 4.5 and good reconstruction of a 15 ps pulse after stretching to 200 ps in a double-pass end-pumped Nd:YAG amplifier have been achieved.  相似文献

 分析了分幅相机增益衰减的理论模型,利用Mathematica软件模拟了增益随电脉冲传输时间指数衰减的曲线图。根据增益衰减理论,设计了测量增益衰减系数的实验。实验结果表明:分幅相机的平均增益按0.024 9 mm-1指数衰减,电脉冲沿微带线传输的电压幅值衰减系数平均为0.003 56 mm-1。得出实验数据中单条微带上增益并不完全符合增益指数衰减规律,而是在最后一帧图的增益有所回升,分析得出这是由电脉冲在微带末端连接处的反射引起的。经多次测量,电脉冲在微带线末端的平均值反射比为24.2%。对增益衰减状况的改善提出建议:采用良导体制作传输线,选取介质损耗小和绝缘性能好的材料作为填充介质,合理设计MCP微带线的厚度、微带宽度及微带与输出面的间距则可减小分幅相机增益的衰减。  相似文献

采用飞秒激光激励光导开关能够产生脉宽皮秒甚至亚皮秒级的太赫兹脉冲,近年来,这项技术成为校准宽带示波器上升时间的有效手段。以低温生长砷化镓(LT-GaAs)为光导开关的基底,在飞秒激光激励下产生太赫兹脉冲,经共面波导传输,通过微波探针耦合为1.85mm同轴输出,然后利用带宽70GHz的取样示波器对其半幅度宽度进行测量。实验获得太赫兹脉冲的半幅度宽度(FWHM)约为7.4ps。  相似文献

设计了一种高功率共面馈电脉冲辐射天线。该天线馈源采用双组电大尺寸共面极板馈臂,将馈电点置于焦点处,与直径2.1 m的抛物反射面相配合,实现超宽谱短脉冲的有效定向辐射。提出了一种由同轴输入到4端输出的高功率馈电巴伦,解决了高功率情况下同轴线到4馈臂共面馈电问题。对所设计天线进行测试实验,结果表明:在馈电脉冲宽度为450 ps、峰值电压为142 kV时,辐射因子达到800 kV。  相似文献

We theoretically investigate slow and fast light propagation and pulse velocity control in a nanocavity containing a single quantum dot side-coupled to a planar-photonic-crystal waveguide. We demonstrate that low coupling strength (i.e., the weak coupling regime) between a cavity and a dot, under on-resonance condition, can lead to delays of about +90 ps for a pulse 1/e-width of 280 ps. The group delay dependence on the various coupling parameters suggests achievable delays of +300 ps and consequently very slow light speeds of around 5000 m/s in a 1.5 microm cavity-waveguide section. We also show that under off-resonant condition one can achieve significant pulse advancement of -60 ps.  相似文献

 利用数值模拟方法,研究波长1 064 nm、脉冲宽度介于1~20 ps的激光在刻蚀铜靶时,单次脉冲作用下非平衡场刻蚀和热平衡刻蚀两种机制的竞争过程。结果表明:随着脉冲宽度的增加,刻蚀过程由非平衡电荷分离场刻蚀占主导地位转变为热平衡刻蚀起主要作用,且脉冲宽度和激光峰值功率密度增大到一定程度后,各种电子加速机制在不同时刻开始突显,电子能量分布出现多峰结构。在能量密度为15 J/cm2的激光作用下,1和5 ps脉宽对应的非平衡场刻蚀深度分别为110和101 nm,10和20 ps脉宽分别为25和18 nm。  相似文献

报道了一种利用100 ps啁啾脉冲堆积产生2.2 ns任意整形脉冲的脉冲整形系统。采用掺Yb~(3 )光纤锁模振荡器得到稳定的锁模光脉冲序列,将该锁模脉冲通过啁啾光纤光栅展宽并通过1 nm带宽的高斯形光谱滤波器滤波,得到标准的100 ps高斯形啁啾脉冲序列,将此脉冲选单经过光纤延迟线组成的32路脉冲堆积器,得到了精度为32 bit的重复频率为1 Hz的2.2 ns任意整形光脉冲。研究了堆积脉冲的特性,分析了宽带啁啾堆积整形脉冲的光谱时间扫描特性对激光驱动惯性约束聚变打靶束匀滑的优化作用。实验测得了该系统输出的2.2 ns整形光脉冲具有小于50 ps的上升沿,与100 ps啁啾脉冲的时间抖动小于4 ps。  相似文献

We have investigated the generation of widely-separated bound pulses with a high power passively mode-locked Yb-doped double clad fiber laser. We report on the emission of bound pulses of 5 ps whose separation can exceed 180 ps. Pulses are further compressed extra-cavity to 140 fs, leading to pulse separations that can reach approximately 1300 pulse widths, while pulses remain bound. Scenarios leading to these regimes are detailed. RF analysis shows an important reduction of the amplitude noise of the laser when pulses bind together. Finally, we report on a new regime of multiple pulse emission of this fiber laser: stable co-emission of a single-pulse and a pair of bound pulses in the same cavity round trip. We report on the development of a new generation of high-power ultrashort pulse quantum-dot lasers with tapered gain section. Two device designs are proposed and fabricated, with different total lengths and absorber-to-gain-section length-ratios. These designs have been informed by numerical simulations of the dynamic mode-locking regimes and their dependence on the structural parameters. One device design demonstrated a record-high peak power of 17.7 W with 1.26 ps pulse width and a second design enabled the generation of a Fourier-limited 672 fs pulse width with a peak power of 3.8 W. A maximum output average power of 288 mW with 28.7 pJ pulse energy was also attained. In addition, the integrated timing jitter of 2.6 ps and far-field patterns are demonstrated.  相似文献

We have experimentally observed various bound states of parabolic pulses in a passively mode-locked Erbium-doped fiber ring laser. Beyond the mode-locking threshold, stable single parabolic pulse with the duration of 3.29 ps has been obtained and compressed outside the cavity to 253 fs assuming a sech2 profile. By increasing the pump power and rotating the polarization controllers, stable bound states of two parabolic pulses with a fixed separation of 6.5 ps has been obtained. Further increasing the pump power and carefully adjusting the intracavity PCs, multiple bound pulses have also been observed in the same cavity with the same pulse separation.  相似文献

We report on an optical fiber Mach-Zehnder interferometer made by offset splicing a dual-mode fiber with two single-mode fibers. The extinction ratio can be tuned from less than 1 dB to greater than 28 dB by rotating the dual-mode fiber along its axial direction. The interferometer is utilized as a pulse shaper to convert a 2.5 ps Gaussian pulse to a 5.2 ps flat-top pulse.  相似文献

We propose and demonstrate generation of an in-phase optical pulse train from an optical beat signal. The proposed method is based on four-wave mixing occurring between the two continuous waves of the beat signal and on spectral filtering to shape the spectrum to be symmetric about the carrier frequency. We perform an experiment to verify the proposed method and obtain a 1.5 ps width in-phase pulse train from a 160 GHz beat signal. Furthermore, we employ a pulse compression scheme to reshape and compress the obtained pulse train, and we show that a 160 GHz repeating, 0.7 ps FWHM, nearly transform-limited, in-phase sech pulse train is successfully generated.  相似文献

Experiments on multiple-pulse stacking have revealed that there is frequency chirp in the incident laser pulse generated by active AM mode-locking. A square pulse is stably generated by the pulse stacking method when we consider the frequency chirp in the incident pulse. A square pulse of 890 ps duration has been obtained by stacking three pulses of 220 ps pulse width. This method will be easily extended to stably generate flat-top pulses of longer duration as predicted by calculation for coherent superposition of frequency-chirped pulses.  相似文献
