In this paper we investigate via a dynamic programming approach some nonlinear stochastic control problems where the control set is unbounded and a classical coercivity hypothesis is replaced by some weaker assumptions. We prove that these problems can be approximated by finite fuel problems; show the continuity of the relative value functions and characterize them as unique viscosity solutions of a quasi-variational inequality with suitable boundary conditions.  相似文献

We study the initial–boundary value problem for the Vlasov–Poisson–Fokker–Planck equations in an interval with absorbing boundary conditions. We first prove the existence of weak solutions of the linearized equation in an interval with absorbing boundary conditions. Moreover, the weak solution converges to zero exponentially in time. Then we extend the above results to the fully nonlinear Vlasov–Poisson–Fokker–Planck equations in an interval with absorbing boundary conditions; the existence and the longtime behavior of weak solutions. Finally, we prove that the weak solution is actually a classical solution by showing the hypoellipticity of the solution away from the grazing set and the Hölder continuity of the solution up to the grazing set.  相似文献

In this work, we are interested in the dynamic behavior of a parabolic problem with nonlinear boundary conditions and delay in the boundary. We construct a reaction–diffusion problem with delay in the interior, where the reaction term is concentrated in a neighborhood of the boundary and this neighborhood shrinks to boundary, as a parameter ? goes to zero. We analyze the limit of the solutions of this concentrated problem and prove that these solutions converge in certain continuous function spaces to the unique solution of the parabolic problem with delay in the boundary. This convergence result allows us to approximate the solution of equations with delay acting on the boundary by solutions of equations with delay acting in the interior and it may contribute to analyze the dynamic behavior of delay equations when the delay is at the boundary.  相似文献

This paper offers conditions ensuring the existence of solutions of linear boundary value problems for systems of dynamic equations on time scales. Utilizing a method of Moore–Penrose pseudo‐inverse matrices leads to an analytical form of a criterion for the existence of solutions in a relevant space and, moreover, to the construction of a family of linearly independent solutions of such problems in a general case with the number of boundary conditions (defined by a linear vector functional) not coinciding with the number of unknowns of a system of dynamic equations. As an example of an application of the presented results, the problem of bifurcation of solutions of boundary value problems for systems of dynamic equations on time scales with a small parameter is considered.  相似文献

We consider a nonconvex and unbounded differential inclusion derived from a control system whose control sets are time and space-dependent. We extend the inclusion in order to allow discontinuous trajectories. We prove that the set of solutions of the original inclusion is dense in the set of solutions of the extended inclusion and, moreover, these last solutions are stable with respect to the initial data. Both of these results are also proven in the presence of state and integral constraints (assuming suitable conditions at the boundary of the constraining set). As an application, the value function of a Mayer problem is shown to be continuous and the unique viscosity solution of a Hamilton–Jacobi equation with suitable boundary conditions.  相似文献

This article analyzes a nonlinear system of first-order difference equations with periodic and non-periodic boundary conditions. Some sufficient conditions are presented under which: potential solutions to the equations will satisfy certain a priori bounds; and the equations will admit at least one solution. The methods involve new dynamic inequalities and use of Brouwer degree theory. The new results are compared with those featuring in the theory of solutions to boundary value problems for differential equations.  相似文献

An efficient method of construction of solutions to a set of boundary value problems with additional interface conditions, more complicated boundary conditions, and so on on the basis of known solutions to classical boundary value problems is proposed. The method is based on the representation of solutions to classical and more complicated problems in the form of expansions into Fourier series with subsequent reduction of one series to the other. As a result, formulas directly expressing solutions to more complicated problems in terms of solutions to classical problems are obtained. On the basis of the well-known solution to the Dirichlet problem on a half plane, solutions to boundary value problems with interface conditions (including generalized conditions of the type of a crack and a screen) on intersecting straight lines for boundary conditions of the first and the third kind are obtained.  相似文献

We consider in this article the Cahn–Hilliard equation endowed with dynamic boundary conditions. By interpreting these boundary conditions as a parabolic equation on the boundary and by considering a regularized problem, we obtain, by the Leray–Schauder principle, the existence and uniqueness of solutions. We look for solutions of systems of nonlinear elliptic equations with nonlinear boundary conditions and values in some compact convex set M. If the nonlinear terms satisfy a sign condition on the boundary of M and the inhomogeneous terms assume their values in this set existence of solutions is proved. The proof is based on the homotopy invariance of the Leray-Schauder degree and Weinberger's strong maximum principle.  相似文献

We prove an a priori bound for solutions of the dynamic equation. This bound provides a control on solutions on a compact space-time set only in terms of the realisation of the noise on an enlargement of this set, and it does not depend on any choice of space-time boundary conditions. We treat the large- and small-scale behaviour of solutions with completely different arguments. For small scales we use bounds akin to those presented in Hairer's theory of regularity structures. We stress immediately that our proof is fully self-contained, but we give a detailed explanation of how our arguments relate to Hairer's. For large scales we use a PDE argument based on the maximum principle. Both regimes are connected by a solution-dependent regularisation procedure. The fact that our bounds do not depend on space-time boundary conditions makes them useful for the analysis of large-scale properties of solutions. They can, for example, be used in a compactness argument to construct solutions on the full space and their invariant measures. © 2020 The Authors. We consider a boundary value problem (BVP) for systems of second-order dynamic equations on time scales. Using methods involving dynamic inequalities, we formulate conditions under which all solutions to a certain family of systems of dynamic equations satisfy certain a priori bounds. These results are then applied to guarantee the existence of solutions to BVPs for systems of dynamic equations on time scales.  相似文献

Our aim in this article is to discuss recent issues related with the Cahn-Hilliard equation in phase separation with the thermodynamically relevant logarithmic potentials; in particular, we are interested in the well-posedness and the study of the asymptotic behavior of the solutions (and, more precisely, the existence of finite-dimensional attractors). We first consider the usual Neumann boundary conditions and then dynamic boundary conditions which account for the interactions with the walls in confined systems and have recently been proposed by physicists. The asymptotic behavior of solutions of the three-dimensional Navier-Stokes equations is considered on bounded smooth domains with no-slip boundary conditions and on periodic domains. Asymptotic regularity conditions are presented to ensure that the convergence of a Leray-Hopf weak solution to its weak ω-limit set (weak in the sense of the weak topology of the space H of square-integrable divergence-free velocity fields with the appropriate boundary conditions) are achieved also in the strong topology. It is proved that the weak ω-limit set is strongly compact and strongly attracts the corresponding solution if and only if all the solutions in the weak ω-limit set are continuous in the strong topology of H. Corresponding results for the strong convergence towards the weak global attractor of Foias and Temam are also presented. In this case, it is proved that the weak global attractor is strongly compact and strongly attracts the weak solutions, uniformly with respect to uniformly bounded sets of weak solutions, if and only if all the global weak solutions in the weak global attractor are strongly continuous in H.  相似文献

We discuss a method for seeking integrable boundary conditions for nonlinear equations. For the Boussinesq equation, we find a new boundary condition that is compatible with the Lax pair and has an infinite set of higher symmetries and a Bäcklund transformation. The paper deals with the estimates of the blow-up rate and theblow-up set of positive solutions to semilinear parabolic systemscoupled in the equations and boundary conditions.
