Inorganic-organic hybrid polyoxometalate: Preparation, characterization and electrochemistry properties

The solid hybrid material (H_3/4pbpy)₄[PMo₁₂O₄₀]·1.25H₂O (1) (pbpy=5-phenyl-2-(4-pyridinyl)pyridine) has been prepared and characterized. A structural feature of compound 1 is that the polyoxometalate anions exhibit a one-dimensional inorganic double chain-like structure via weak interactions of O…O. The organic moiety exhibits regular packing with offset aromatic-aromatic interactions between the pbpys, leading to a compact supramolecular framework structure to accommodate the inorganic chains. Compound 1 was employed to fabricate the three-dimensional bulk-modified carbon paste electrode (1-CPE) to research on its electrochemistry properties. The results indicate that 1 retained Keggin molybdate anion electrocatalytic activities toward the reduction of chlorate, hydrogen peroxide and nitrite.     

The Electrochemical Behavior of Keggin Polyoxometalate Modified by Tricyclic,Aromatic Entity

The inorganic‐organic hybrid polyoxometalates (POMs), (pbpy)₄H[PMo₁₂O₄₀(VO)] ( 1 ) and (pbpy)₄H₄[SiMo₁₂O₄₀] ( 2 ) (pbpy=5‐phenyl‐2‐(4‐pyridinyl)pyridine), have been synthesized and were, respectively, used as a solid bulkmodifier to fabricate a three‐dimensional bulk‐modified carbon paste electrode (CPE) by direct mixing. The electrochemical behavior and electrocatalysis of 1 and 2 modified CPE ( 1 ‐CPE and 2 ‐CPE) have been studied in detail. Both 1 ‐CPE and 2 ‐CPE show remarkable stability that can be ascribed to the doped organic conjugated pbpy, which is very important for practical applications in electrode modification.     

New Inorganic-organic Hybrid Tetravanadate: Preparation, Characterization and Application in Chemically Modified Electrode

A new inorganic-organic hybrid tetravanadate [Co(2,2′-bpy)3]2V4O12·11H2O(1) has been prepared and characterized. X-Ray diffraction study reveals that compound 1 contains classical cluster anions [V4O12]4–, coordinated cations [Co(2,2′-bpy)3]2+ and eleven water molecules, in which an interesting decamer water cluster is formed.
