In this paper, we consider the existence and non-existence of global solutions of the non-Newtonian polytropic filtration equations with nonlinear boundary conditions. We first obtain the critical global existence curve by constructing various self-similar supersolutions and subsolutions. And then the critical Fujita curve is conjectured with the aid of some new results.  相似文献

This paper deals with the exterior problem of the Newtonian filtration equation with nonlinear boundary sources. The large time behavior of solutions including the critical Fujita exponent are determined or estimated. An interesting phenomenon is illustrated that there exists a threshold value for the coefficient of the lower order term, which depends on the spacial dimension. Exactly speaking, the critical global exponent is strictly less than the critical Fujita exponent when the coefficient is under this threshold, while these two exponents are identically equal when the coefficient is over this threshold. In this paper we consider a heat equation with nonlinear boundary condition occurring in population genetics, the selection–migration problem for alleles in a region, considering flow of genes throughout the boundary. Such a problem determines a gradient flow in a convenient phase space and then the dynamics for large times depends heavily on the knowledge of the equilibrium solutions. We address the questions of the existence of a nontrivial equilibrium solution and its regularity.  相似文献

This paper deals with the blow-up for a system of semilinear r-Laplace heat equations with nonlinear boundary flux. It is shown that, under certain conditions on the nonlinearities and data, blow-up will occur at some finite time, and when blow-up does occur upper and lower bounds for the blow-up time are obtained.  相似文献

We prove the existence and the uniqueness of strong solutions for the viscous Hamilton-Jacobi equation: with Neumann boundary condition, and initial data μ0, a continuous function. The domain Ω is a bounded and convex open set with smooth boundary, aR,a≠0 and p>0. Then, we study the large time behavior of the solution and we show that for p∈(0,1), the extinction in finite time of the gradient of the solution occurs, while for p?1 the solution converges uniformly to a constant, as t→∞.  相似文献

We study the solutions of a parabolic system of heat equations coupled at the boundary through a nonlinear flux. We characterize in terms of the parameters involved when non-simultaneous quenching may appear. We study the Hölder regularity of weak solutions to the evolutionary p  -Laplacian system with critical growth on the gradient. We establish a natural criterion for proving that a small solution and its gradient are locally Hölder continuous almost everywhere. Actually our regularity result recovers the classical result in the case p=2p=2 [16] and can be applied to study the regularity of the heat flow for m-dimensional H-systems as well as the m-harmonic flow.  相似文献
