A characterization of relatively compact sets of fuzzy sets

A purely topological characterization of relatively compact sets is given for the metric space (K(Y),D)$(\mathbb{K}(Y),D)$ of upper semicontinuous, compact-supported, normal fuzzy subsets of a metric space Y$Y$. The considered metric D$D$ is that of the distance between fuzzy subsets, which is the supremum of the Hausdorff distances of the corresponding level sets. In the given proof the compactness of a variational convergence which was introduced by De Giorgi and Franzoni is fundamental.     

Convexity and the difference property

We show that the class of all delta-convex selfmappings of R$\mathbb{R}$ (differences of two convex functions) enjoys the difference property in the sense of N.G. de Bruijn. The Q$\mathbb{Q}$-differentiability technique has been applied as a proof tool.     

Pullback attractors of non-autonomous stochastic degenerate parabolic equations on unbounded domains

This paper is concerned with pullback attractors of the stochastic p  -Laplace equation defined on the entire space Rⁿ${\mathbb{R}}^n$. We first establish the asymptotic compactness of the equation in L²(Rⁿ)$L^2({\mathbb{R}}^n)$ and then prove the existence and uniqueness of non-autonomous random attractors. This attractor is pathwise periodic if the non-autonomous deterministic forcing is time periodic. The difficulty of non-compactness of Sobolev embeddings on Rⁿ${\mathbb{R}}^n$ is overcome by the uniform smallness of solutions outside a bounded domain.
