Using results on abstract evolutions equations and recently obtained results on elliptic operators with discontinuous coefficients including mixed boundary conditions we prove that quasilinear parabolic systems admit a local, classical solution in the space of p–integrable functions, for some p greater than 1, over a bounded two dimensional space domain. The treatment of such equations in a space of integrable functions enables us to define the normal component of the current across the boundary of any Lipschitz subset. As applications we have in mind systems of reaction diffusion equations, e.g. van Roosbroeck’s system.  相似文献

We consider a class of ultraparabolic differential equations that satisfy the Hörmander’s hypoellipticity condition and we prove that the weak solutions to the equation with measurable coefficients are locally bounded functions. The method extends the Moser’s iteration procedure and has previously been employed in the case of operators verifying a further homogeneity assumption. Here we remove that assumption by proving some potential estimates and some ad hoc Sobolev type inequalities for solutions.  相似文献

The aim of this work is to ascertain the characterization of the existence of coexistence states for a class of cooperative systems supported by the study of an associated non-local equation through classical variational methods. Thanks to those results, we are able to obtain the blow-up behavior of the solutions in the whole domain for certain values of the main continuation parameter.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider a weak coupled semilinear parabolic system with general Wentzell boundary condition. In this paper, we study the global approximate multiplicative controllability for nonlinear degenerate parabolic Cauchy–Neumann problems. First, we obtain embedding results for weighted Sobolev spaces, that have proved decisive in reaching well-posedness for nonlinear degenerate problems. Then, we show that the above systems can be steered in L2L2 from any nonzero, nonnegative initial state into any neighborhood of any desirable nonnegative target-state by bilinear piecewise static controls. Moreover, we extend the above result relaxing the sign constraint on the initial data.  相似文献

For a class of general quasilinear equations on S1, we show that, by a very simple maximum principle technique, as long as the solution stays finite, all of its derivatives also remain finite. Some specific examples are given. Under suitable assumptions, we also derive exponential decay of the derivatives of the solution.  相似文献

We bound the modulus of continuity of solutions to quasilinear parabolic equations in one space variable in terms of the initial modulus of continuity and elapsed time. This paper deals with the critical curve of the non-Newtonian polytropic filtration equation coupled via nonlinear boundary flux. In this paper we study the Cauchy problem for the singular evolution p-Laplacian equations with gradient term and source on the assumption of measures as initial conditions. This paper is concerned with a doubly degenerate parabolic equation with logistic periodic sources. We are interested in the discussion of the asymptotic behavior of solutions of the initial-boundary value problem. In this paper, we first establish the existence of non-trivial nonnegative periodic solutions by a monotonicity method. Then by using the Moser iterative method, we obtain an a priori upper bound of the nonnegative periodic solutions, by means of which we show the existence of the maximum periodic solution and asymptotic bounds of the nonnegative solutions of the initial-boundary value problem. We also prove that the support of the non-trivial nonnegative periodic solution is independent of time.  相似文献

In this paper, we develop a viscosity method for homogenization of Nonlinear Parabolic Equations constrained by highly oscillating obstacles or Dirichlet data in perforated domains. The Dirichlet data on the perforated domain can be considered as a constraint or an obstacle. Homogenization of nonlinear eigen value problems has been also considered to control the degeneracy of the porous medium equation in perforated domains. For the simplicity, we consider obstacles that consist of cylindrical columns distributed periodically and perforated domains with punctured balls. If the decay rate of the capacity of columns or the capacity of punctured ball is too high or too small, the limit of u? will converge to trivial solutions. The critical decay rates of having nontrivial solution are obtained with the construction of barriers. We also show the limit of u? satisfies a homogenized equation with a term showing the effect of the highly oscillating obstacles or perforated domain in viscosity sense.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the properties of solutions to a degenerate parabolic equation with variable density and absorption. We first obtain a critical exponent, which distinguishes the localization of solutions from the positivity of them. When positivity prevails, we obtain the other critical exponent with respect to the decay of the variable density, which separates the global existence of interfaces from the disappearance of them. Moreover, the long time behavior of interfaces is characterized.  相似文献

In this paper, we analyze the asymptotic behavior of coexistence states for a non-cooperative model of nuclear reactors. In addition, we also present some remarks on the uniqueness of coexistence states in a high dimensional case. Our results complement the work of López-Gómez [J. This paper deals with a nonclassical initial boundary value problem for a two dimensional parabolic equation with Bessel operator. We prove the existence and uniqueness of the weak solution of the given nonlinear problem. We start by solving the associated linear problem. After writing this latter in its operator form, we establish an a priori bound from which we deduce the uniqueness of the strong solution. For the solvability of the associated linear problem, we prove that the range of the operator generated by the considered problem is dense. On the basis of the obtained results of the linear problem, we apply an iterative process to establish the existence and uniqueness of the nonlinear problem.  相似文献

This paper studies the uniqueness and the asymptotic stability of a pyramidal traveling front in the three-dimensional whole space. For a given admissible pyramid we prove that a pyramidal traveling front is uniquely determined and that it is asymptotically stable under the condition that given perturbations decay at infinity. For this purpose we characterize the pyramidal traveling front as a combination of planar fronts on the lateral surfaces. Moreover we characterize the pyramidal traveling front in another way, that is, we write it as a combination of two-dimensional V-form waves on the edges. This characterization also uniquely determines a pyramidal traveling front.  相似文献

We determine the critical blow-up exponent for a Keller-Segel-type chemotaxis model, where the chemotactic sensitivity equals some nonlinear function of the particle density. Assuming some growth conditions for the chemotactic sensitivity function we establish an a priori estimate for the solution of the problem considered and conclude the global existence and boundedness of the solution. Furthermore, we prove the existence of solutions that become unbounded in finite or infinite time in that situation where this a priori estimate fails.  相似文献
