In this paper, we introduce a new two-step iterative scheme for two asymptotically nonexpansive nonself-mappings in a uniformly convex Banach space. Weak and strong convergence theorems are established for the new two-step iterative scheme in a uniformly convex Banach space.  相似文献

In this paper, a new two-step iterative scheme with errors is introduced for two asymptotically quasi-nonexpansive nonself-mappings. Several convergence theorems are established in real Banach spaces and real uniformly convex Banach spaces. Our theorems improve and extend the results due to Thianwan [S. Thianwan, Common fixed point of new iterations for two asymptotically nonexpansive nonself-mappings in a Banach space, J. Comput. Appl. Math. 224 (2009) 685-695] and many other papers.  相似文献

We prove strong convergence theorems for a sequence which is generated by Halpern’s iteration. We also apply our result for finding zeros of an accretive operator. Our result improves the recent result of Aoyama et al. [K. Aoyama, Y. Kimura, W. Takahashi, M. Toyoda, Approximation of common fixed points of a countable family of nonexpansive mappings in a Banach space, Nonlinear Anal. 67 (2007) 2350-2360] by removing some assumptions on the parameters. Finally we discuss the new sufficient condition studied by Song [Y. Song, A new sufficient condition for the strong convergence of Halpern type iterations. Appl. Math. Comput. 198 (2) (2008) 721-728; Y. Song, New strong convergence theorems for nonexpansive nonself-mappings without boundary conditions. Comput. Math. Appl. 56 (6) (2008) 1473-1478] and correct the main result of Song and Chai [Y. Song, X. Chai, Halpern iteration for firmly type nonexpansive mappings, Nonlinear Anal. 71 (10) (2009) 4500-4506].  相似文献

In this paper, we obtain an existence theorem for single-valued monotone operators in a reflexive Banach space. Using this result, we prove a fixed point theorem for nonexpansive mappings in a Hilbert space and an existence theorem for maximal monotone operators in a Banach space. In this paper we propose a new modified viscosity approximation method for approximating common fixed points for a countable family of nonexpansive mappings in a Banach space. We prove strong convergence theorems for a countable family nonexpansive mappings in a reflexive Banach space with uniformly Gateaux differentiable norm under some control conditions. These results improve and extend the results of Jong Soo Jung [J.S. Jung, Convergence on composite iterative schemes for nonexpansive mappings in Banach spaces, Fixed Point Theory and Appl. 2008 (2008) 14 pp., Article ID 167535]. Further, we apply our result to the problem of finding a zero of an accretive operator and extend the results of Kim and Xu [T.H. Kim, H.K. Xu, Strong convergence of modified Mann iterations, Nonlinear Anal. 61 (2005) 51-60], Ceng, et al. [L.-C. Ceng, A.R. Khan, Q.H. Ansari, J.-C, Yao, Strong convergence of composite iterative schemes for zeros of m-accretive operators in Banach space, Nonlinear Anal. 70 (2009)1830-1840] and Chen and Zhu [R. Chen, Z. Zhu, Viscosity approximation methods for accretive operator in Banach space, Nonlinear Anal. 69 (2008) 1356-1363].  相似文献

In this paper, we prove a strong convergence theorem by the hybrid method for a countable family of relatively nonexpansive mappings in a Banach space. We also establish a new control condition for the sequence of mappings {Tn} which is weaker than the control condition in Lemma 3.1 of Aoyama et al. [K. Aoyama, Y. Kimura, W. Takahashi and M. Toyoda, Approximation of common fixed points of a countable family of nonexpansive mappings in a Banach space, Nonlinear Anal. 67 (2007) 2350-2360]. Moreover, we apply our results for finding a common fixed point of two relatively nonexpansive mappings in a Banach space and an element of the set of solutions of an equilibrium problem in a Banach space, respectively. Our results are applicable to a wide class of mappings.  相似文献

In this note, we deal with an iterative scheme of Halpern type for a semigroup of nonexpansive mappings on a compact convex subset of a strictly convex and smooth Banach space with respect to an asymptotically left invariant sequence of means defined on an appropriate space of bounded real valued functions of the semigroup. We improve the corresponding result of [A.T. Lau, H. Miyake, W. Takahashi, Approximation of fixed points for amenable semigroups of nonexpansive mappings in Banach spaces, Nonlinear Anal. 67 (2007) 1211-1225].  相似文献

The main result of this paper is that a closed convex subset of a Banach space has the fixed point property for nonexpansive mappings if and only if it has the fixed point property for nonexpansive semigroups.  相似文献

We introduce and study new classes of Bregman nonexpansive operators in reflexive Banach spaces. These classes of operators are associated with the Bregman distance induced by a convex function. In particular, we characterize sunny right quasi-Bregman nonexpansive retractions, and as a consequence, we show that the fixed point set of any right quasi-Bregman nonexpansive operator is a sunny right quasi-Bregman nonexpansive retract of the ambient Banach space.  相似文献

In this paper we propose a new modified Mann iteration for computing fixed points of nonexpansive mappings in a Banach space setting. This new iterative scheme combines the modified Mann iteration introduced by Kim and Xu [T.H. Kim, H.K. Xu, Strong convergence of modified Mann iterations, Nonlinear Anal. 61 (2005) 51–60] and the viscosity approximation method introduced by Moudafi [A. Moudafi, Viscosity approximation methods for fixed-points problems, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 241 (2000) 46–55]. We give certain different control conditions for the modified Mann iteration. Strong convergence in a uniformly smooth Banach space is established.  相似文献

Very recently, Yao, Chen and Yao [20] proposed a hybrid viscosity approximation method, which combines the viscosity approximation method and the Mann iteration method. Under the convergence of one parameter sequence to zero, they derived a strong convergence theorem in a uniformly smooth Banach space. In this paper, under the convergence of no parameter sequence to zero, we prove the strong convergence of the sequence generated by their method to a fixed point of a nonexpansive mapping, which solves a variational inequality. An appropriate example such that all conditions of this result are satisfied and their condition βn→0 is not satisfied is provided. Furthermore, we also give a weak convergence theorem for their method involving a nonexpansive mapping in a Hilbert space.  相似文献

In this paper, we prove strong convergence theorems by the hybrid method for a family of hemi-relatively nonexpansive mappings in a Banach space. Our results improve and extend the corresponding results given by Qin et al. [Xiaolong Qin, Yeol Je Cho, Shin Min Kang, Haiyun Zhou, Convergence of a modified Halpern-type iteration algorithm for quasi-?-nonexpansive mappings, Appl. Math. Lett. 22 (2009) 1051-1055], and at the same time, our iteration algorithm is different from the Kimura and Takahashi algorithm, which is a modified Mann-type iteration algorithm [Yasunori Kimura, Wataru Takahashi, On a hybrid method for a family of relatively nonexpansive mappings in Banach space, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 357 (2009) 356-363]. In addition, we succeed in applying our algorithm to systems of equilibrium problems which contain a family of equilibrium problems.  相似文献

A simple and elementary (without using the ultrapower technique) proof for the existence of a fixed point of an asymptotic pointwise contraction is provided. The existence of fixed points for asymptotic pointwise nonexpansive mappings in a uniformly convex Banach space is also investigated.  相似文献

In an infinite-dimensional Hilbert space, the normal Mann’s iteration algorithm has only weak convergence, in general, even for nonexpansive mappings. In order to get a strong convergence result, we modify the normal Mann’s iterative process for an infinite family of nonexpansive mappings in the framework of Banach spaces. Our results improve and extend the recent results announced by many others.  相似文献

In this paper, we introduce two iterative sequences for finding a common element of the set of fixed points of a relatively nonexpansive mapping and the set of solutions of an equilibrium problem in a Banach space. Then we study the strong and weak convergence of the sequences.  相似文献

Viscosity approximation methods for a family of finite nonexpansive mappings are established in Banach spaces. The main theorems extend the main results of Moudafi [Viscosity approximation methods for fixed-points problems, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 241 (2000) 46–55] and Xu [Viscosity approximation methods for nonexpansive mappings, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 298 (2004) 279–291] to the case of finite mappings. Appl. 202 (1996) 150–159], Browder [Convergence of approximations to fixed points of nonexpansive mappings in Banach spaces, Archiv. Ration. Mech. Anal. 24 (1967) 82–90], Cho et al. In this work, we present some new versions of fixed point theorems for nonexpansive maps and 1-set contractions defined on closed, convex, not necessarily bounded subsets of Banach spaces. Our proofs rely on a compactness result for an approximate fixed point set. The Kuratowski measure of noncompactness is used throughout. To illustrate the results obtained, some applications to Banach algebras and Hammerstein integral equations are provided.  相似文献
