We prove a weaker form of conjecture concerning the representation theorem for locally defined operators acting between some spaces of differentiable functions presented by K. Lichawski, J. Matkowski and J. Mi? [K. Lichawski, J. Matkowski, J. Mi?, Locally defined operators in the space of differentiable functions, Bull. Polish Acad. Sci. The classical theory of Toeplitz operators in spaces of analytic functions deals usually with symbols that are bounded measurable functions on the domain in question. Let X be a real reflexive Banach space and be maximal monotone. Let be quasibounded, finitely continuous and generalized pseudomonotone with X′⊂D(B), where X′ is a dense subspace of X such that X′∩D(A)≠∅. Let S⊂X∗. Conditions are given under which and intS⊂intR(A+B). Results of Browder concerning everywhere defined continuous and bounded operators B are improved. Extensions of this theory are also given using the degree theory of the last two authors concerning densely defined perturbations of nonlinear maximal monotone operators which satisfy a generalized (S+)-condition. Applications of this extended theory are given involving nonlinear parabolic problems on cylindrical domains.  相似文献

We give criteria for products of Toeplitz and Hankel operators on the Fock (Segal–Bargmann) space to belong to the Dixmier class, and compute their Dixmier trace. Along the road, analogous results for the Weyl pseudodifferential operators are also obtained.  相似文献

We show that there exist non-compact composition operators in the connected component of the compact ones on the classical Hardy space H2. This answers a question posed by Shapiro and Sundberg in 1990. We also establish an improved version of a theorem of MacCluer, giving a lower bound for the essential norm of a difference of composition operators in terms of the angular derivatives of their symbols. As a main tool we use Aleksandrov-Clark measures.  相似文献

A systematic study is made of continuous linear operators approximable (in certain topologies) by linear combinations of projections from the range of a spectral set function. Such operators may be viewed as natural analogues of the scalar-type spectral operators introduced by N. Dunford. We extend the classical theory so that the range of the spectral set function, necessarily a Boolean algebra of continuous projection operators, need not be uniformly bounded; it is this feature which gives the theory its wider range of applicability. Typically, the associated operational calculus, which is specified via a suitable integration process, is no longer related to a continuous homomorphism but merely to a certain kind of sequentially closed homomorphism.  相似文献

In this paper, we study a strong convergence for monotone operators. We first introduce the hybrid type algorithm for monotone operators. Next, we obtain a strong convergence theorem (Theorem 3.3) for finding a zero point of an inverse-strongly monotone operator in a Banach space. Finally, we apply our convergence theorem to the problem of finding a minimizer of a convex function.  相似文献

An operatorT on the spaceH(G) of holomorphic functions on a domainG is strongly omnipresent whenever there is a residual set of functionsfH(G) such thatT f exhibits an extremely wild behaviour near the boundary. The concept of strong omnipresence was recently introduced by the first two authors. The objective of this paper is to use known properties of the associated weight to give new estimations of the norm and essential norm of the weighted com- position operators acting between weighted Banach spaces of analytic functions, in terms of composition with certain special functions in these spaces. As a consequence of our results, we obtain genuine extensions of a large number of recent results, and in particular, we extend classical results due to Montes-Rodríguez and Contreras and Hernández-Díaz.  相似文献

The study of weak solutions for systems of nonlinear partial differential equations of elliptic type with inclusions leads to a multivalued operator of superposition type in Sobolev spaces. We show that, under natural assumptions, this operator has the properties which allow to apply degree theory (fixed point index) for multivalued maps. More precisely, this operator is upper semicontinuous and compact with nonempty convex compact values. For the particular case of systems involving p-Laplacians, we show that there is a homeomorphism transforming the whole system to a situation for which a fixed point index is available.  相似文献

We prove several singular value inequalities and norm inequalities involving sums and direct sums of Hilbert space operators. It is shown, among other inequalities, that if X and Y are compact operators, then the singular values of are dominated by those of X ⊕ Y. Applications of these inequalities are also given.  相似文献

This note aims at investigating the essential norms of integral operators on Banach spaces of analytic functions. We study the essential norm of IgIg on some classical Banach spaces (the Bloch space, BMOABMOA and the Dirichlet space). The essential norms of the Volterra type operator TgTg on the Bloch space are given by the distance from the logarithmic Bloch function to the little logarithmic Bloch space. The essential norms of the little Hankel operator are also investigated.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the uniqueness and existence of fixed points of mixed monotone operators in the partially ordered Banach space. Our conclusions essentially improve the relevant results obtained by Liang and others. Moreover, as an application of our results, we prove the existence and uniqueness of a positive solution for a class of integral equations which cannot be solved by using previously available methods.  相似文献
