The reactive Kr+F2 potential energy surface is probed by two-photon, laser-induced chemical bond formation during a Kr+F2 collision. This is compared with the pulsed laser excitation (two-photon) of Kr(2p9) followed by collision with F2 leading to the formation of KrF(B, C). In addition to reporting the excitation spectrum for the two-phonon-induced collision process, these techniques were used to determine quenching rate constants of Kr2F*. Quenching by Xe gives XeF(B, C) with rate constant (1.5±0.2)×10−10 cm3 s−1; the quenching rate constant for F2 is (1.5±0.2)×10−10 cm3 s−1, and the radiative lifetime of Kr2F* is 240±35 ns. The quenching rate constant for the coupled Kr(2p8) and Kr(2p9) levels by F2 is (13±2)×10−10 cm3 s−1.  相似文献

Absorption and fluorescent scattering of nitrogen laser radiation by a low-pressure RF laboratory plasma (ne = 1012 cm−3) has been observed for the first negative system of N2+. A 67±1 ns lifetime of N2+ (B 2Σu+) was experimentally measured from the laser-induced fluorescence. In addition, enough collisionally excited N2 (B 3Πg) was produced to observe laser-induced fluorescence for the second positive system of N2. The lifetime of N2 (C 3Πu) was found to be 41±2 ns. The measured lifetimes are in good agreement with published values calculated from theory.  相似文献

The collisional quenching of electronically excited germanium atoms, Ge[4p2(1S0)], 2.029 eV above the 4p2(3P0) ground state, has been investigated by time-resolved atomic resonance absorption spectroscopy in the ultraviolet at λ = 274.04 nm [4d(1P10) ← 4p2(1S0)]. In contrast to previous investigations using the ‘single-shot mode’ at high energy, Ge(1S0) has been generated by the repetitive pulsed irradiation of Ge(CH3)4 in the presence of excess helium gas and added gases in a slow flow system, kinetically equivalent to a static system. This technique was originally developed for the study of Ge[4p2(1D2)] which had eluded direct quantitative kinetic study until recently. Absolute second-order rate constants obtained using signal averaging techniques from data capture of total digitised atomic decay profiles are reported for the removal of Ge(1S0) with the following gases (kR in cm3 molecule−1 s−1, 300 K): Xe, 7.1 ± 0.4 × 10−13; N2, 4.7 ± 0.6 × 10−12; O2, 3.6 ± 0.9 × 10−11; NO, 1.5 ± 0.3 × 10−11; CO, 3.4 ± 0.5 × 10−12; N2O, 4.5 ± 0.5 × 10−12; CO2, 1.1 ± 0.3 × 10−11; CH4, 1.7 ± 0.2 × 10−11; CF4, 4.8 ± 0.3 × 10−12; SF6, 9.5 ± 1.0 × 10−13; C2H4, 3.3 ± 0.1 × 10−10; C2H2, 2.9 ± 0.2 × 10−10; Ge(CH3)4, 5.4 ± 0.2 × 10−11. The results are compared with previous data for Ge(1S0) derived in the single-shot mode where there is general agreement though with some exceptions which are discussed. The present data are also compared with analogous quenching rate data for the collisional removal of the lower lying Ge[4p2(1D2)] state (0.883 eV), also characterized by signal averaging methods similar to that described here.  相似文献

The phophorescence of biacetyl induced by an energy transfer to biacetyl from triplet benzene produced in the pulse radiolysis of benzene-biacetyl mixtures has been studied. The time required to reach the maximum intensity of phosphorescence, tmax, after the electron pulse, varies as a function of biacetyl pressure at constant benzene pressure (40 torr), which gives the lifetime of triplet benzene τ = (6.7 ± 3.2) × 10−6 s and the rate constant of the energy transfer kC6H6*(T1) + biacetyl = (1.6 ± 0.7) × 10−10 cm3 molecule−1 s−1.  相似文献

UV spectra and kinetics for the reactions of alkyl and alkylperoxy radicals from methyl tert-butyl ether (MTBE) were studied in 1 atm of SF6 by the pulse radiolysis-UV absorption technique. UV spectra for the radical mixtures were quantified from 215 to 340 nm. At 240 nm. σR = (2.6 ± 0.4) × 10−18 cm2 molecule−1 and σRO2 = (4.1 ± 0.6) × 10−18 cm2 molecule−1 (base e). The rate constant for the self-reaction of the alkyl radicals is (2.5 ± 1.1) × 10−11 cm3 molecule−1 s−1. The rate constants for reaction of the alkyl radicals with molecular oxygen and the alkylperoxy radicals with NO and NO2 are (9.1 ± 1.5) × 10−13, (4.3 ± 1.6) × 10−12 and (1.2 ± 0.3) × 10−11 cm3 molecule−1 s−1, respectively. The rate constants given above refer to reaction at the tert-butyl side of the molecule.  相似文献

The highly neutralized ethylenediaminetetraacetate (EDTA) titrant (95–99% as Y4− anion) precipitates with Ag+ cations to form the Ag4Y species, in aqueous medium, which is well characterized from conductometric titration, thermal analysis and potentiometric titration of the silver content of the solid. The precipitate dissolves in excess Y4− to form a complex, AgY3−. Equilibrium studies at 25°C and ionic strength 0.50 M (NaNO3) have shown from solubility and potentiometric measurements that the formation constant (95% confidence level) β1 = (1.93 ± 0.07) × 105 M−1 and the solubility products are KS0 = [Ag +]4[Y4−] = (9.0 ± 0.4) × 10−18 M5 and KS1 = [Ag +]3[AgY3−] = (1.74 ± 0.08) × 10−12 M4. The presence of Na+, rather than ionic strength, markedly affects the equilibrium; the data at ionic strength 0.10 M are: β1 = (1.19 ± 0.03) × 106 M−1, KS0 = (1.6 ± 0.4) × 10−19 M5 and KS1 = (1.9 ± 0.5) × 10−13 M4; at ionic strength tending to zero; β1 = (1.82 ± 0.05) × 107 M−1, KS0 = (2.6 ± 0.8) × 10−22 M5 and KS1 = (5 ± 1) × 10−15 M4. The intrinsic solubility is 2.03 mM silver (I) in 0.50 M NaNO3. Well-defined potentiometric titration curves can be taken in the range 1–2 mM with the Ag indicator electrode. Thermal analysis revealed from differential scanning calorimetry a sharp exothermic peak at 142°C; thermal gravimetry/differential thermal gravimetry has shown mass loss due to silver formation and a brown residue, a water-soluble polymeric acid (decomposition range 135–157°C), tending to pure silver at 600°C, consistent with the original Ag4Y salt.  相似文献

The oxidation reaction of 2-aminophenol (OAP) to 2-aminophenoxazin-3-one (APX) initiated by 2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-1-piperidinyloxyl (TEMPO) has been investigated in methanol at ambient temperature. The oxidation of OAP was followed by electronic spectroscopy and the rate constants were determined according to the rate law −d[OAP]/dt=kobs[OAP][TEMPO]. The rate constant, activation enthalpy and entropy at 298 K are as follows: kobs (dm3 mol−1 s−1)=(1.49±0.02)×10−4, Ea=18±5 kJ mol−1, ΔH=15±4 kJ mol−1, ΔS=−82±17 J mol−1 K−1. The results of oxidation of OAP show that the formation of 2-aminophenoxyl radical is the key step in the activation process of the substrate.  相似文献

The acidity constants of benzidine (Bz) in aqueous solutions determined potentiometrically at 25° were Ka1 = (1.11 ± 0.08) × 10−5, Ka2 = (1.45 ± 0.12) × 10−4. The apparent mixed constants in 0.1M sodium nitrate are Ka1 = (5.37 ± 0.28) × 10−6 and Ka2 = (1.14 ± 0.09) × 10−4. The ultraviolet spectra were recorded as a function of pH and analysed with these constants to obtain the absorption spectra of H2Bz2+, HBz+ and Bz; the corresponding wavelengths of maximal absorption are 247, 273 and 278 nm, and molar absorptivities 1.63 × 104, 1.76 × 104 and 2.26 × 104 1.mole−1.cm−1.  相似文献

The second-order rate constants of gas-phase Lu(2D3/2) with O2, N2O and CO2 from 348 to 573 K are reported. In all cases, the reactions are relatively fast with small barriers. The disappearance rates are independent of total pressure indicating bimolecular abstraction processes. The bimolecular rate constants (in molecule−1 cm3 s−1) are described in Arrhenius form by k(O2)=(2.3±0.4)×10−10exp(−3.1±0.7 kJmol−1/RT), k(N2O)=(2.2±0.4)×10−10exp(−7.1±0.8 kJmol−1/RT), k(CO2)=(2.0±0.6)×10−10exp(−7.6±1.3 kJmol−1/RT), where the uncertainties are ±2σ.  相似文献

Positron lifetime measurements have been performed on liquid SF6 in the temperature range from −45°C to 71°C (Tc = 45.65°C). The positron lifetime spectra were resolved into four lifetime components. In the order of increasing lifetimes the four lifetime components are associated with the decay of para-positronium (p-Ps), free positrons, ortho-positronium (o-Ps) from a small bubble state, and o-Ps from a large bubble state. The lifetime of o-Ps annihilating from the large bubble state τ4 increases from 5.7 ns at −45°C to 19.5 ns at 53°C. The lifetime of o-Ps annihilating from the small bubble state τ3 was found to be 2–2.5 ns in the main part of the temperature range studied. Apparently, this is the first observation of two different o-Ps states in a liquid. The intensity I4 (I3) increases (decreases) from 16.9% (16%) at −45°C to 47.2% (6.4%) at the critical point while above I3 and I4 are essentially temperature independent. The large Ps bubble state seems to be similar to the Ps bubble state found in most liquids.  相似文献

The far-UV (193 nm) laser flash photolysis of nitrogen-saturated isooctane solutions of 1,1-dimethylsiletane allows the direct detection of 1,1-dimethylsilene as a transient species, which (at low laser intensities) decays with pseudo-first-order kinetics (τ 10 μs) and exhibits a UV absorption spectrum with λmax 255 nm. Characteristic rapid quenching is observed for the silene with methanol (kMcOH = (4.9 ± 0.2) × 109 M−1 s−1), tert-butanol (kBuOH = (1.8 ± 0.1) × 109 M−1 s−1) and oxygen (kO2 = (2.0 ± 0.5) × 108 M−1 s−1). The Arrhenius activation parameters for the reaction with methanol have been determined to be Ea = −2.6 ± 0.6 kcal mol−1 and log A = 7.7 ± 0.3.  相似文献

The microwave spectrum of ethyl fluoroformate displays strong a-type R branch transitions from two rotameric forms. One species (extended form) has rotational constants A0 = 9191.3(9) MHz, B0 = 2112.61(1) MHz, C0 = 1756.73(1) MHz which are consistent with a syn-anti (τ1(OCOC) = 0°, r2(cocc) = 180°) planar heavy atom structure. The second species (compact form) has rotational constants A0 = 7760(3) MHz, B0 = 2388.38(4) MHz, C0 = 2102.47(3) MHz which are consistent with a syn-gauche1(ococ) = 0°, τ2(cocc) ˜ 90°) structure. The two conformational forms have approximately equal energy (0 ± 40 cm−1). Four vibrational satellites of the extended species have been analyzed yielding a torsional frequency around the O-ethyl bond of 70(10) cm−1. Three vibrational satellites attributed to the O-ethyl torsion of the compact species have been analyzed yielding a vibrational frequency of 90(10) cm−1. Approximate Fourier coefficients of a three term potential function for internal rotation about the O-ethyl bond have been determined. Vibrational satellites attributed to the first excited states of the O-ester torsion have been analyzed for both conformers. The torsional vibrational frequency around the O-ester bond is 110(15) cm−1 for the extended conformers and 120(20) cm−1 for the compact.  相似文献

The state-selected reaction of CH(X2Πν″ = 0, 1) with H2 has been studied, in which CH was generated by IRMPD of a precursor gas, CH3OH. The subsequent evolution of CH (ν″ = 0, 1) was monitored by the sensitive LIF technique. For the ground state and vibrationally excited state CH, the reaction with H2 is found to depend on the total pressure in the sample cell at room temperature, which suggests that the reaction proceeds through an intermediate adduct, CH3. The backward dissociation process is found to depend on the buffer pressure, which can be rationalized via a collision-induced backward dissociation. The decay rates of CH (ν″ = 0, 1) due to collisions with H2 and Ar at a buffer pressure of 10 Torr are kH2 (ν″ = 1) = (2.3±0.1) × 10−1 cm3 molecule−1 s−1 and kAr (ν″ = 1) = (4.4±0.1) × 10−13 cm3 molecule−1 s−1. Possible effects of the vibrational excitation on the reaction rate of CH (ν″ = 1) are discussed.  相似文献

This Letter reports the first kinetic study of 2-butoxy radicals to employ direct monitoring of the radical. The reactions of 2-butoxy with O2 and NO are investigated using laser-induced fluorescence (LIF). The Arrhenius expressions for the reactions of 2-butoxy with NO (k1) and O2 (k2) in the temperature range 223–311 K have been determined to be k1=(7.50±1.69)×10−12×exp((2.98±0.47) kJmol−1/RT) cm3 molecule−1 s−1 and k2=(1.33±0.43)×10−15×exp((5.48±0.69) kJmol−1/RT) cm3 molecule−1 s−1. No pressure dependence was found for the rate constants of the reaction of 2-butoxy with NO at 223 K between 50 and 175 Torr.  相似文献

The radiative lifetimes of nine vibrational levels of the C3(1Πu) radical were obtained from decay time studies of the C3(1Πu1Σ+g) fluorescence induced by a tunable dye laser. The lifetimes of the different vibronic levels were found to be constant within the experimental error limits, namely, τo = (200 ± 10) ns. The collisional deactivation of the C3(1Πu) states by helium gives rate constants between 2.5 and 4 in 10−11 cm3 molecule−1 s−1 units.  相似文献

A new bulk acoustic wave (BAW) cellulase sensing technique, which is based on the enzymatic hydrolysis process of sodium carboxymethylcellulose (CMC) by cellulase, was established. The frequency shift curves of BAW sensor indicated that the viscosity of the tested solutions decreased during the hydrolysis process. The hydrolysis rate of CMC by cellulase was calculated from the frequency shift curves. The hydrolysis rate of CMC under different pH conditions at 30°C showed that cellulase had high hydrolysis ability approximately at pH 5.0. Kinetic parameters (the Michaelis constant Km and the maximum rate Vmax) of the process were estimated by using a linear method of Lineweaver–Burk plot. Km is 1.95±0.25 mg ml−1 and Vmax is −(4.25±0.58)×10−3 g1/2 cm−3/2 cP1/2 min−1. Also the activation energy (Ea) of the enzymatic hydrolysis, with a value of 51.99±1.26 kJ mol−1, was estimated in this work.  相似文献

The rate coefficients of the reactions: (1) CN + H2CO → products and (2) NCO + H2CO → products in the temperature range 294–769 K have been determined by means of the laser photolysis-laser induced fluorescence technique. Our measurements show that reaction (1) is rapid: k1(294 K) = (1.64 ± 0.25) x 10−11 cm3 molecule−1 s−1; the Arrhenius relation was determined as k1 = (6.7 ± 1.0) x 10−11 exp[(−412 ± 20)/T] cm3 molecule−1 s−1. Reaction (2) is approximately a tenth as rapid as reaction (1) and the temperature dependence of k2 does not conform to the Arrhenius form: k2 = 4.62 x 10−17T1.71 exp(198/T) cm3 molecule−1 s−1. Our values are in reasonable agreement with the only reported measurement of k1; the rate coefficients for reaction (2) have not been previously reported.  相似文献

The triplet state (32T) and the radical cation (2T+√) of 2,2′-bithiophene (2T) are characterized by pulse radiolysis in CCl4. Two main absorption bands at 360 and 420 nm are respectively attributed to 32T* and to 2T+√. The triplet, induced in an excited state through a Förster mechanism, undergoes a conformational rearrangement (k6=(6.8±0.9)×106 s−1). The radical cation is produced both through a resonance charge transfer and a second diffusional process; the two oxidizing species are respectively CCl4+√ and (CCl+3Cl)solv through the mediation of a singlet excited state, 12T*.  相似文献
